Turn 5: The Calm Before the Storm! You Show's Dilemma!

Yusei was sleeping on the sands while leaning against the back of a big rock. He opened his eyes slowly to see that he was in the beach.
Yusei:(mutters) Where am I? Am I hallucinating?
???: You know sleeping on the sands was not good for you.
Yusei heard a girl's voice, which making him turned to right side to see someone, who was staring at him curiously.
It was a girl has shoulder length aqua green colored hair with two light green side tails and orange eyes. She wears a pair of blue studded earrings. Her outfit consist of a blue and white jacket with pink pads on the shoulders and elbows, pink shorts and white and pink boots that reach up to her thighs.
Yusei was shock beyond belief when he saw her. Yusei already knew Yuzu, Ruri, Serena, and now that girl as she has same face as her, but he knew this girl was different from them.
The girl noticed Yusei staring at her, wondering why he was staring at her.
???: Is something wrong Mister?
Yusei regained his composer, before replying.
Yusei: Nothing... You have same face as someone looked like as they're special to me.
???: Oh really? Do I really have same face as them.
Yusei: I can explain to you another time. And also, don't called me Mister because it makes me feel uncomfortable. I'm Akiyama Yusei.
???: My name is Rin. Nice to meet you.
Yusei: Rin? That's means you're childhood friend of Yugo, living in orphanage in the City? Am I correct?
Rin:(surprises) How do you know my name and how did you met Yugo?
Yusei: When I was met Yugo at the harbour, then suddenly a light surrounded me and him to somewhere place called City. He showed me around City, gave me a D-Wheel to experience. Not too mention, we're having a Riding Duel and then I won. Lastly, the securities showed up and we get away from them. However, there's a light shining on my deck and then I'm back to the Maiami City. I know it's pretty weird but that's my story.
Rin: Yeah, it's pretty weird. But I'm glad you teach him a lesson.
Yusei: Why?
Rin: Yugo always short-tempered and impulsive. But, he always got into fight against many people.
Yusei: Not to mention, he's a hot-headed and an idiot too.
After that, Rin and Yusei suddenly laughed in amusement.
Rin:(smiles) Yeah. You're right about Yugo.
Yusei: Well, what's your relationship with Yugo anyway? Seems you and him pretty much closer.
Rin: Sure, we're very close as we're childhood friends. But it's more of a 'brother-sister' then anything else.
Yusei: Oh...
Rin: But when I saw you, your face seems gloomy, unhappy, stoic and you didn't showed a smile. I think I should help you to change yourself.
Yusei: Hmm... So what is it for changing myself?
Rin: That is I want you to keep smiling.
Yusei surprised as he heard that.
Rin: Also, I suddenly interested in you as you're tall, selfless and cool person.
Rin then gave Yusei a warm and charm smile on her face, which making him blushed a bit when he was looking at Rin's expression.
Yusei: Umm... Y-You are welcome.
Yusei then slowly looked away from Rin, which making her giggled. Then, she brought out a card from her pocket and held it out to him.
Rin: Yusei, I want you to have this.
Yusei confused as he accepted the card and looked at it that Rin was giving him a Converging Wills Dragon card.
Yusei: Why are you giving me this card for?
Rin:(smiles) This is promise. I actually tried to give this card to Yugo since I was being kidnapped by cloaked person. So, I want you to keep it so you can always know that I'm be there for you.
Yusei:(mutters) Rin.
Suddenly, the light consumed Yusei and Rin as they covered their eyes due to the brightness.
Rin:(exclaims) It's too bright! What happened Yusei?
Yusei:(exclaims) I don't know Rin! But this light tells us our time is up! But I will keep your promise Rin!
Rin:(mutters) Yusei...
After that, the light washed out Yusei and Rin in the beach, returning back to the reality.
(Next morning)
In the room, Yusei slowly getting up from his bed and opened the curtains before he went to the nightstand, looking for his deck. Then, he turned his deck around to look at the top card. He widened his eyes in surprise before he picked it up and stared at the Converging Wills Dragon card.
Yusei:(thoughts) This wasn't the dream after all...
When Yusei looking at the card, he immediately remembered that Rin gave him a warm and charm smile before she replying to him. However, he's also remembered Ruri and Serena said to him in his mind.
"This is a promise. I'm be there for you Yusei."
"It's okay. I won't let you feel sad anymore, Yusei."
"I'll come back here and see you at somewhere, Yusei."
Yusei: Rin, Ruri, Serena... Someday, I'll be there and looking out for you. This is our promise.
Yusei held the card firmly with his right hand, while holding a triple rings necklace with his left hand tightly.
(Somewhere else)
A private jet was flying in the air towards Maiami City which a woman wearing a dark pink-colored business dress was sitting and checking a website on a tablet. She smiled at a photo of her shaking a business man's until the pilot announced.
Pilot: We will be arriving in Maiami Airport, very shortly.
The woman looked over the Maiami City through the window as the jet managed to descending on the runaway.
After that, she entered into a luxurious limo as the driver drove to the LDS building. The reason why is known only to her and the people riding with her.
Nakajima: Congratulations on the company successful merger, Chairwoman Akaba.
Indead, the woman sitting in front of Nakajima was Akaba Himika, mother to Akaba Reiji and Chairwoman of LDS.
Himika: Of course. Everything is proceeding according to plan. With this, LDS is one step closer is having a presence all around the world. That should allow me and Reiji-san to easily scout the most powerful duelists in the globe, all in preparation for 'that' day.
Nakajima: That's good to hear. However...
Himika: What is it? Did something happen while I was away?
Nakajima: I did not want to bother you since you were busy with the negotiations and everything. Truth to be told, there have been a number of... incidents over the past week that have caused quite a ripple.
Himika: Incidents... you say? What sort of incidents?
Nakajima: However, keep in mind that I'm not fully informed about all the details surrounding this case. For more details, you should speak to President.
Himika: So it would seem...
Upon arriving at the tower of LDS after a few minutes, Himika quickly stepped outside the car made a beeline for the top floor, ignoring the greetings of the personnel around her. She quickly stepped inside Reiji's office without bothering to knock.
Reiji: Welcome home, Mother. You seem to be in an awful hurry.
Himika: Reiji-san, is what I heard from Nakajima said true? Apart from Fusion, Ritual, Synchro and Xyz, a new summoning method has appeared?
Reiji fixed his glasses before replying.
Reiji: It's true, Mother. Its first recorded use was about a week ago.
Pressing a button on a remote, Reiji showed his mother a playback of Yuya's Duel with Strong Ishijima, where Yuya used Pendulum Summon in order to win this match.
Reiji: It appears this now summoning method is called Pendulum.
Himika: Pendulum?
Reiji: It involves placing two special monster cards called Pendulum cards into your Duel Disk. Then, you can Special Summon multiple high-level monsters whose Level is within the Pendulum Scale without releasing. This has never existed before.
Himika: It can't be... is this also that person?
Reiji: We are still investigating how this occurred. But on the topic of performing the Pendulum Summon, through our data and analysis we almost have complete understanding of it.
Himika: I expected nothing less of you, Reiji-san.
Reiji: The problem is the Duelist who first discovered it.
Reiji then pressed a button on his remote, showing Yuya's profile and his card's data on the screen.
Reiji: His name is Sakaki Yuya. He's currently enrolled in You Show Duel School, which focusing on Entertainment Duels, a male at the age of 14. He is in the Junior Youth Class.
Himika: It says here his win rate is about fifty percent. How was such an average Duelist belonging to Junior Youth able to create a brand new summoning method?
Reiji: The important thing is that he's the son of Sakaki Yusho.
Himika: Sakaki Yusho, you say? He's the son of that famous Duelist who vanished three years ago and may have joined the enemy?
Reiji: It's too soon to rush into conclusions about that. Now, as for the new 'retired' Duelist that got me intention.
Reiji pressed a button on his remote, showing Yusei's profile and his cards.
Himika: Akiyama Yusei, a 15 years old boy that worked in cafe as a waiter and temporarily enrolled in You Show Duel School. Why's this boy so special and why is he retired from the Duel?
Reiji: He used to be retire from the Duel. But he saved the girl called Hiiragi Yuzu with a Duel and he's a capable of Synchro Summon. His record consists of only four duels, which he both won. But his Synchro Summon isn't ordinary. Every time he conducts one, a huge amount of energy is released.
Himika widened her eyes in shock and disbelief.
Himika: Synchro Duelist? Is he from-
Reiji: We still don't know if Akiyama Yusei is from Synchro Dimension or Fusion Dimension? We knows he lived in 5 months ago and we should know if he's an enemy or an ally. But he's a lone wolf and he doesn't appear like one to me.
Reiji then pressed a button on the remote, showing more of Yusei's cards.
Reiji: His deck is composed of Synchro Monsters along with a few of low level monsters, he knows how to exploit them to their full potential. His Synchro Monsters consists of Warriors that specifics Synchro Monsters as Tuners. He doesn't seem to rely on the same monsters to win and proved to be very versatile and capable of analyzing his opponent's strategy. I would even dare to say he appears to be on my level.
Himika gasped in shock at what Reiji said.
Reiji: If we can manage to get him to LDS, then we might have chances to find out his true identify.
Himika: I must have to say I'm admitted. This Akiyama Yusei is a mystery and interesting duelist.
Reiji then turned off the screen in his office and began to speak again.
Reiji: Also, another matter we need to address, Sawatari Shingo, along with other thre students we're assaulted yesterday. By an Xyz user to be more specific, the energy of his summoning was abnormally high.
Himika: And how are these matters connected?
Reiji: Sawatari and the three students insist that Sakaki Yuya was the one who assaulted them.
Himika: Oh... is that so.
Himika then formed a wide and devious grin on her face. However, Reiji placed a hand on his temple with a sign.
Reiji: I know that expression of yours... What are you plotting, Mother?
Himika: Now Reiji-san... it's a real tragedy that our students were being assaulted, with one of them injured and ended up in the hospital. But it would be a shame if we let opportunity go to waste.
(You Show Duel School)
In the classroom, Yuya, Yuzu, Tatsuya, Ayu, and Futoshi were watching Shuzo teaches about Normal Summon and Advance Summon as Yusei was sitting next to Sora, while the black haired boy was still looking at Converging Wills Dragon card in his hand as he was deep in though.
Yusei was wearing another clothes for today, which was now an unzipped black leather racer jacket, a dark grey-colored T-shirt, deep blue jeans, brown leather belt, black socks, and black short-length harness boots.
As he had promised yesterday after his part-time work at cafe, Yusei had once more come to You Show Duel School to hanging out with them.
However, Futoshi and Ayu were already bored at this lecture as they're already know Normal Summon and Advance Summon. While, Yuya looked at Sora who's secretly eating snacks which is saying some fusion move ice cream and pudding.
Yusei took a glance at Sora with a curiosity look on his expression.
Yusei:(thoughts) I wonder how Sora didn't get extremely sugar rush, that much sweets does more harm than good.
Yusei then glanced at Yuzu who's looking like she wasn't paying attention for some reasons.
Yusei:(thoughts) I can't believe Yuzu has the same faces as Serena, Rin and Ruri. But Yuzu is Yuzu. She's her person that's all. Still I'm thinking about Serena, Rin and Ruri. So I hope they're both okay and I make a promise with them.
Tatsuya noticed Yuya, Yuzu, Sora, Futoshi and Ayu are distracted a bit except Yusei is minding his own personal but he's got an idea.
Tatsuya:(smiles) Hey how about let Yusei-oniichan to give us lectures for today.
They gained their attentions and surprised to hear that as Yusei was taken aback as he quickly put his card into his deck before pointing himself with a finger.
Yusei:(confuses) Me?
Sora:(smiles) Since you know about three Summoning Methods.
Shuzo:(smiles) That would be a great idea! What do you say Akiyama-kun?
Yusei:(sighs) Sure, I don't mind since Principal Hiiragi doesn't mind that is.
Yusei stood up from his seat and walked to the front desk before looking at them.
Yusei: Before we continue on with three Summoning Methods. Let's start with Ritual Summon. In this method, you need three things in your hand Ritual Spell card, Ritual Monster card, and the monsters that have levels of the requirements on the hand or the field.
Yusei took a look at them as they're listening and focusing on the lecture, before continuing.
Yusei: For those requirements completed, for example I Ritual Summon a Level 8 Ritual Monster so I used the Level 8 monster, two Level 4 monsters or a higher Level monster that surpassed it, although there are archetypes for Ritual Summon probably you all heard of them.
They nodded in understatement before Yusei continued on.
Yusei: Next, let's start with Fusion Summon. You need three things a spell card that do Fusion, Fusion Monster in the Extra Deck and the monsters from the hands or field that could be materials to special summoned a Fusion Monster. However, there are other ways to Fusion Summon.
Yuya: What do you mean there are other ways to Fusion Summon?
Yusei: Yes. There's a Fusion Summon without the spell card Fusion, eliminating the need of it. That is Contact Fusion where Fusion also isn't required. The only thing necessary is having the materials writing on the Fusion Monster's text on your side of the field. Then, you perform Contact Fusion by sending back to Deck or Graveyard.
Sora: Contact Fusion, huh? Have you met the users of this form of Fusion Summon, Yusei?
Yusei: To be honest, Sora. I don't have to finding and fighting the opponents who used this summoning of Contact Fusion or Fusion since I have work as a part-timer.
Sora: I see... You're very busy man Yusei.
Yusei: Next, the second Summoning Method is Synchro Summon. This method of summoning requires for the Duelists to have at least two monsters on the field. The most important is the Tuner Monster. By tuning the Tuner Monster with another Monster or Monsters, you can Synchro Summon a Synchro Monster whose Level is equal to the combined Levels of the Monsters you used as its Synchro Material. So, any questions?
Yusei looked around as they're seemed to understand.
Yusei: Okay. Just like for Fusion Summon. There are two advanced ways of Synchro Summon. That is Double Tuning and Accel Synchro.
Sora: Yusei, what is Double Tuning and Accel Synchro? We never heard about that before?
Yusei: Alright, first is Double Tuning. It is a Synchro Summoning Method that requires two Tuner Monsters instead of one, for example summoning a Level 12 Synchro Monster that requires two Tuner Monsters.
Sora: I see.
Futoshi: Yusei-oniichan, what is Accel Synchro?
Ayu: Yeah, we really wanted to know.
Yusei: Accel Synchro is when you conduct Synchro Summon with a Synchro Tuner Monster and Synchro Monster.
Tatsuya: Synchro Tuner Monster?
Yusei: Accel Synchro are more versatile and tricky effects that hard to overcome. They focused on their opponent with their powerful effects.
Yuya:(surprises) Wait, seriously?
Yusei nodded his head in confirmation as Ayu raised her hand, which getting his attention.
Ayu: Yusei-oniichan, did you faced the duelists used those two Synchro Summoning Methods?
Yusei: No. But I owned some Accel Synchro Monsters. There was one for them that I cherished called Shooting Star Dragon card.
Yuzu:(mutters) Shooting Star Dragon...
Tatsuya/Futoshi/Ayu: Can we see it? Please! Please!
Yusei: Sorry but no. I don't have this card that I didn't obtained that card I cherished for.
Yusei apologized with a sad smile expression on his face, earning a disappointing sigh from the three kids. While, Yuya and Yuzu noticed the sad look on Yusei's expression and wondered in concern.
Yusei: Anyway, last but not least, the last Summoning Methods is Xyz Summon.
Yuzu immediately perked up and she began to follow up the lesson while Sora looked in displease.
Yusei: In order to perform Xyz Summon, you need at least two Monsters with the same Level on the field. Then, you Overlay the two monsters and Special Summon and Xyz Monster with a Rank equal to the Level of these monsters by attaching them to it as its Overlay Units.
Futoshi: Rank? Don't Xyz Monsters have Levels?
Yusei: Nope. They have Ranks instead of Levels. And before anyone asks, that doesn't mean Xyz Monsters have a Level of zero, which appears common misconception. Ranks and Levels are two separate things. Because of that, Xyz Monsters are unaffected by card effects that involve Levels and also cannot used as material for a Synchro Summon.
Yuzu: You said something about Overlay Units before. What exactly is their purpose?
Yusei: Overlay Units are basically the backbone of Xyz Monsters. If an Xyz Monster wishes to activate its effect, one or more Overlay Units also has negative effects for itself. Because of that trait, a Duelist must carefully select the timing for activating their Xyz Monster's effect and not waste its Overlay Units.
Yuzu nodded in understanding, before Yuya following up with another question.
Yuya: Since Xyz Monsters have Ranks, does this mean that the higher the Rank of an Xyz Monster is, the stronger it is?
Yusei: Sort of. An Xyz Monster's strength isn't judged solely by their Rank, but also by the number and type of Xyz Materials used for its summon. For example, a Rank 4 requires three materials to be special summoned will usually be stronger than a monster of the same Rank that requires only two materials. The same thing happens when material belongs to a certain type or archetype are required, making the resulting Xyz Monster of the same Rank which requires any monsters with the same Level. And that's about it for my lesson. Does anyone have questions for me?
Ayu: Between all the summoning methods Yusei-oniichan mentioned, which one of the most powerful? I would also like to know which method you'd recommended.
Sora: Isn't it obvious? It's Fusion, of course!
Yusei: Hush you.
As Yusei silenced Sora, before turning to Ayu.
Yusei: That's a tricky question to answer, Ayu-chan. In my opinion, there isn't a stronger or a weaker summoning method and there isn't power is power between the Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz. It depends on personal preference and finding the style that works for you.
Tatsuya: You're so knowledgeable even though you never attended a Duel School, Yusei-oniichan. How did you learn all these things on your own?
Yusei: Well... I learned everything on my own, more or less.
Yuya: Really? You're self taught and learned all of this by yourself?
Yusei: That's true. When I was an orphan kid very young, I had a best friend who introduced me to this game and we're played the friendly matches with others. It's really enjoyed that I'm in the part of my life, it was much simpler. I owe him my life for everything he did for me. And that's all everyone. Thank you for listening to my lecture.
Following that conclusion, everyone began clapping enthusiastically. It seemed that his lecture wasn't completely disaster as Yusei had initially feared.
Shuzo: Thank you very much for devoting your time in order to give us this lecture, Akiyama-kun.
Shuzo patted Yusei's back as he stood next to him.
Shuzo: I'm sure everyone is grateful for what you've taught us today. Maybe you should becoming a Duel Professor if you ever want give up the dueling, seeing as you did a pretty good job back there.
Yusei:(sighs) I'm going to pass on that. I swear my insides are still wound into knots...
This prompted a round of laughter from the assembled students.
Suddenly, out of nowhere they heard a shout.
"Ambush you say! Yuya would never do such an act!"
Yuya:(suprises) Gongenzaka!
Following behind Shuzo, the students of You Show and Yusei made a beeline for the school's entrance, only to discover Gongenzaka glaring at three very familiar delinquents.
Yusei: Oh, it's you three?
The three delinquents immediately noticed Yusei as they widened their eyes in suprise and remembered Yusei was beating at them in three days ago. They looked at the black haired boy in fear and put their hands on the spot that Yusei knocked them out.
Delinquent 1: It's you!
Delinquent 2: You're the one who beating us back then!
Yusei: Really? It was you three who starting to bumped me and gave me a few fights.
Delinquent 3:(growls) Why you...! You acting didn't nothing happen...
Meanwhile, Shuzo turned to Gongenzaka.
Shuzo: Gongenzaka, what's all the fuss about? What happened?
Gongenzaka: I, the man, Gongenzaka, was in the midst of my daily running when I noticed these three skulking around You Show. When I confronted them, these rascals had the nerve to accuse Yuya of ambushing someone yesterday! As a man and a friend, I couldn't contain my anger at this slander! It's completely unforgivable!
Shuzo:(exclaims) Ambushed!?
Yuya:(exclaims) I did!?
Delinquent 1: That's right! And we won't let you say you forgot about it!
Delinquent 2: After all, we saw you with our own eyes there! You attacked and threatened Sawatari-san!
Delinquent 3: And it wasn't just us. There were five witnesses in total!
Gongenzaka: Five?
Delinquent 1: That's right, five. Us three, Sawatari-san, and... Hiiragi Yuzu!
Everyone turned to the people in question. Yuzu looked in uncomfortable at all the attention as Yusei noticed Yuzu's expression on her face before he narrowed his eyes and glared at the three delinquents.
Shuzo: Is that true, Yuzu? Did you see the face of the culprit?
Delinquent 1: Of course, she saw it. The culprit was none other than Sakaki Yuya!
Futoshi:(yells) That's not true!
Futoshi, Ayu, Tatsuya, and Sora moved in front of Yuya.
Tatsuya: Yuya-oniichan would never do something like that!
Ayu: That's right! Sawatari was the one who attacked first, Yuzu-oneechan went to confront him!
Shuzo: Wait a minute... If Yuzu went to duel Sawatari... then that's means... Yuzu is the one who assaulted him after all!
Futoshi/Ayu/Tatsuya:(yells) That's wrong!
Delinquent 1: We just said it was Sakaki Yuya.
Delinquent 2:(sighs) I feel so sorry for Sawatari-san. He was injured so badly that he was hospitalized.
Yuya:(shocks) Hospitalized!?
Yusei:(scoffs) You three are terrible liars. And that's the absurd thing I've ever heard that.
Delinquent:(roars) You think this is a joke, you punk!? What do you think we're lying about Sawatari-san's life hanging by a thread?! That's how severe his injuries are!
Yusei: If that Sawatari guy had truly been injured as severely as you claim, then the cops would be standing instead of you. Knowing that guy, he's in the hospital bed and enjoying himself.
(Maiami City Hospital)
Sawatari: ACHOO!
Sawatari Shingo has short brown and blonde hair, styled in layers as he sneezed and he was about to take another bite from the delicious fruit served to him, removing the fake casts from his arm and leg.
Sawatari: Is someone talking about me? What I'm saying? Of course they are. My fans are probably concerned about my health. Ah, being so popular truly is a sin...

Yusei: So if you three are done with your baseless accusations, move along and quit wasting time.
Delinquent 1: We told you already that Sakaki Yuya was the one who attacked us yesterday. And when word gets out, you'll be in big trouble!
Yuya turned to Yuzu with a concerned look.
Yuya: Yuzu, say something as well. You saw what happened, didn't you?
Yuzu: I did, but...
Yuya: Yuzu... Don't tell me you also doubt me?
Yusei: I really don't think this story behind it but I don't think it was you, Yuya.
Everyone turned their attentions and looked at Yusei before he continued to speaking.
Yusei: Do you have any siblings or twin brothers by any chance?
Yuya: No. I'm only an child.
Yusei: I believe you. I don't see or hear any lies from you. It's also undeniable fact that someone had the same face as yours, Yuya.
Yuya: A Duelist... with the same face as me...?
However, the three delinquents regarded Yusei with angry expressions.
Delinquent 2: W-Whatever! We'll see how well that silver tongue of yours will work when the police arrive at this school's doorstep!
Shuzo:(exclaims) Can someone please explain to me what happened from the start?
Yusei:(thoughts) Seriously, Principal Hiiragi...
???: If you require explanations, allow me to fill you in.
Suddenly, Himika stepped out from a limoshine, which making everyone turned and looked at the woman.
Shuzo: Aren't you... LDS's current chairwoman?
Himika: Indeed. My name is Akaba Himika. How about we take the discussion for this matter inside your school.
Yusei:(thoughts) This will get troublesome...
Soon, everyone entered into the You Show, except the three delinquents. Himika was sitting across Shuzo with Yuya, Yuzu, Sora, Gongenzaka, and the kids behind him. As for Yusei was standing against the wall with hands behind his back.
Himika: Everything these students said about Sawatari Shingo-kun and themselves being assaulted by a Duelist, very much looks like Sakaki Yuya is true.
Yuya:(yells) I didn't assault Sawatari!
Yusei: He's telling the truth.
Gongenzaka: I, the man Gongenzaka, believe in my friend Yuya.
Futoshi:(shouts) That's right!
Along with Sora, Ayu, and Tatsuya nodded in confirmative.
Gongenzaka: And what about you, Yuzu?
However, Yuzu seemed hesitant as Yusei sighed inwardly.
Yuzu: Yuya... It wasn't you back there, right?
Yuya: Yuzu, Instill can't understand what you saw at the warehouse,.but I wasn't the one who assaulted Sawatari.
Yuzu:(smiles) I got it. Then, I'll believe in you, Yuya!
Himika: My, such strong bonds you all share. Guess it was impossible for to hand over Sakaki Yuya without a fuss. However, we cannot back down here. If word got out that one of the students from LDS, the number one school in the world, were beaten by duelists from a low class school, it would make an immense blow on our school's reputation.
Shuzo: But we keep telling you, Yuya didn't—
Himika:(shouts) That doesn't matter! The problem is that LDS's reputation has been through the mud! The only way to clean this disgrace is a showdown between schools!
Shuzo: A showdown?

At her declaration, everyone was shocked in disbelief while Yusei narrowed his eyes in the mix of wonder and curious as he merely snorted in derision.
Yusei: So, you finally showed your true colours, Chairwoman Akaba?
Himika: My, what are you talking about, Akiyama Yusei-kun?
Yusei: From the start, this has never been Sawatari-san's case or your school's reputation. What you desire to obtain Yuya's Pendulum Summon for your school, so you're using this incident as a convenient excuse to accomplish that goal. Am I wrong?
Himika remained silent for a while, before she eventually spoke.
Himika: You're pretty sharp and quick-witted young man, Akiyama Yusei-kun. Perhaps Reiji-san's opinion of you isn't entirely unfounded after all.
Before Yusei could ask her what she meant, Shuzo cut in from the side.
Shuzo: If Akiyama-kun said is true... did you perhaps orchestrate the attack on Sawatari for that purpose?

Gongenzaka: Well said, Yuya! I, the man Gongenzaka, agree wholeheartedly with your sentiments! I'll also fighting alongside you to defend You Show!
Sora: But aren't you an outsider?
Upon hearing that, Gongenzaka was suddenly freeze and his mouth was hanging open.
Sora: I think it would make more sense for Yuya, Yuzu, and I. Maybe even Yusei if we're pushing it. But as for me, I always wanted to fight against an LDS student.
Gongenzaka: T-to think you would exclude a man such as I, Gongenzaka! T-that's unforgivable!
Shuzo: You heard everyone, Chairwoman Akaba. Our feelings in this matter are one. This You Show Duel School—

Yusei:(smirks) As they said, Chairwoman Akaba.
Himika:(grins) So then, shall we begin?
Following Himika's words, everyone moved to the Real Solid Vision arena, where they were introduced to LDS's representatives, who were allegedly at the top of their respective summoning courses. After it was decided that the first match would be Yuya versus Shijima Hokuto, a tall boy with purple hair who was an Xyz user, Yusei followed the others in the observation room to watch the duel.
As the duel unfolded, Yusei couldn't help but be somewhat impressed by Hokuto's masterful use of Constellar Pleiades to bounce back Yuya's monsters. However, he disgusted by the fact Hokuto timed the activation of Pleiades's to occur in moments when Yuya's monsters aided him in crossing dangerous terrain, putting his life at risk. In the end, however, Yuya took advantage of the fact that Xyz Monsters don't have Levels and used combination of Stargazer Magician, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, Entermate Trampolynx, and Magical Star Illusion to win the first match for You Show.
While Himika was busy scolding Hokuto for his loss, Yusei joined the rest of You Show's students in congratulating Yuya for his victory.
Yusei: Impressive, Yuya. Even though you are fighting in a field advantageous to him and you were pushed back by his Monsters' effects, you managed to triumph in the end.
Yuya: Hehe, thanks. However, I have to thank you as well for this victory. I remembered what you told us about Xyz Monsters not having Levels, which why I thought about using Magical Star Illusion to win.
Yusei: In that case, I'm honored to have helped defend this school in my own small way. Then, next up is—
Yuzu: I'll go next. I'll make sure to win this one and finish this!
Yusei: Sure. Just be sure you have to keeping cool head and stay focus.
Yuya: Go for it, Yuzu. I know you can do it.
Yuzu: Mm. Just sit tight and wait for the good news.
After that, Yusei and everyone else left the arena in order to allow the second match to get underway. The one facing Yuzu was Kotsu Masumi, a young girl with dark skin tone, shoulder-length black hair and red eyes. Apparently, she was Fusion user, causing Sora to be usually interested in this battle.
Unfortunately for You Show, Yuzu was overwhelmed by Masumi's Gem-Knight Fusion Monsters. Her defeat was sealed when she failed to get an Action Card that might have saved her due to getting tricked by its reflection in the crystal walls.
After that, Yuya and Yusei ran out to the arena to checking on Yuzu.
Yuya: Yuzu! Yuzu!
Yusei: Are you ok, Yuzu?
Yuzu slowly opened her eyes and the two boys looking at her in concern and worry.
Yuya: Are you hurt?
Yuzu: No.
Yuzu slowly stood up from the floor.
Yusei: Just take it easy. You don't want to—
In an unsurprising turn of events, Yuzu swayed and buried her face in Yusei's chest.
Yuya:(shocks) Yuzu!
Yusei looked at Yuzu as he heard her sobbing sounds, while she's still holding on his shirt slightly. He couldn't help but to raised his right hand and wrapped her waist gently and comfortably.
Masumi:(smiles) You two are giving us quite the show here.
Yuzu suddenly pushed Yusei away from her in embarrassment and sending him tumbling down.
Yuya:(surprises) Why did you do that, Yuzu?
Yuzu:(apologies) F-Forgive me... Yusei. This was an important Duel and I... I...
As Yuzu apologized with a saddened expression, Yusei slowly stood up from the floor and he placed a hand on the girl's head, making her blushing slightly.
Yusei: It's alright Yuzu. Defeat is something you shouldn't kick yourself over. Even though you lost, you can learn from defeat, and sometimes, that could be more valuable than a victory.
Yuzu: Yusei...
Yuya: He's right. We just need to win the next Duel.
In any case, the next match would be the decisive battle for You Show.
Gongenzaka: Alright, since it's come to this, it's up to you now, Sora! We're all counting on you to win this for You Show!

Yuya: We're counting on you, Gongenzaka. Go out there and do you best.
Gongenzaka: Yuya, Yusei... I, the man Gongenzaka, swear on the name of Gongenzaka Dojo, I will defend You Show Duel School with all my might!
After that, Gongenzaka and Yaiba headed for the arena and began their Duel shortly afterwards. Despite Yaiba swarming the field with his X-Saber Synchro Monsters and Gongenzaka refusing to chase for Action Cards, he managed to hold on pretty well even though his deck was only Monster cards. Yusei was quite surprised by Superheavy Samurai Monsters' ability to attack while in defense mode, an unique effect he had never come across before. In the end, after a climatic showdown with several twists and turns, the Duel ended in Draw thanks to Gongenzaka's Superheavy Samurai Soul Big Bang's effect.
And the two duelists exited the arena, Shuzo addressed Himika.
Shuzo: The results of the battle were only one win, one lose and one draw, huh? This result of the battle between the two schools was a draw, which means you can't have You Show. As such, could you kindly take you leave?
Himika: You think I'll allow it to end like this? I told you before that this a match with LDS's reputation on the line! As such, there can be no draw!
Shuzo: But, the match ended in a draw, you know...
Himika: Then, let's have a tiebreaker. The Duelists from each school who had a win will fight against each other and settle this!
Yusei:(thoughts) Tiebreaker? Looks like it's Yuya will fight Masumi in the one last match. Well, that means I won't be getting a chance to fight after all.

A new arrival appeared as his features were mostly hidden due to his hooded sweatshirt, but once he removed it, revealing Akaba Reiji. Yusei widened his eyes in surprise slightly upon getting a look on his face.
Yusei:(thoughts) This guy is...
Yuya: Who is that guy?
Gongenzaka: Even I, the man Gongenzaka, have never seen him before.
Yusei: Guys, this is Akaba Reiji, the President of Leo Corporation and the youngest Duelist to obtain the qualifications of a pro.
Needless to say, everyone was surprised by this sudden revelation except for Sora, who was eyeing Reiji with newfound interest.
Yuzu: How did you know about him Yusei?
Yusei: Simple. I looked through information on the newspaper. But I can't believe this one of the famous Pro Duelist in the world actually standing in front of us.
Reiji: It looks like I don't need introduce myself since this young man was so kind to do so in my stead.
Reiji then turned to his mother Himika.
Reiji: Mother, I would appreciate it if you let me handle things from here on.
Himika: Reiji-san... Very well, do as you wish.
Reiji turned to the students of You Show Duel School.
Reiji: It appears we're currently at an impasse regarding the battle between schools. In order to honor the resolve you demonstrated, I'm inclined to back down here, ignore the incident with Sawatari Shingo and leave your school alone.
Shuzo: That's... awfully generous of you, Akaba Reiji-san.
Reiji: Of course, I don't intend to do all that without some sort of compensation.
Reiji suddenly pointed at Yusei with a smirk on his face.
Reiji: Akiyama Yusei, won't you have a Duel with me? If you do so, I promise that LDS will retreat in this occasion without any further fuss.
Yusei: Why do you want to face me? I'm just an outsider like Gongenzaka and I'm a temporary student of You Show. If you want to experience the Pendulum Summon, wouldn't it better to duel the originator, Yuya?
Reiji: I'm interested in your strength, that's all. Now, what do you say?
Yusei: ...If I agree to this, would you leave You Show alone?
Reiji: I give you my word as President of Leo Corporation and as a Duelist.
Yusei then pulled out his deck, giving Reiji a resolve look on his expression.

Yusei immediately pulled Yuya's goggles back and let them slam on his face hard.
