Izuku ran out, fear written all over his face. "What's going on? Is everyone okay? Olive said you were captured by a villain and-"
"Well, well, well." Dimentio walked up to Izuku. "Look at what we have here. A Quirkless wannabe with nothing more than useless dreams and hopeless desires."
Izuku chuckled. "Quirkless? I think you have a bad source there."
"Ahaha! Yeah, your government records! Imagine what the world would see you as when I show everybody the files my faithful servant gave me."
"Faithful servant? You seem pretty alone to me."
Dimentio beckoned Olive to come to him. "I wouldn't be so certain."
Olive joined Dimentio, standing on his left side. "Izuku, you're predictable."
Izuku stammered. "B-what? Olive? Y-you...?"
"He worked with me the whole time. What a good kid," Dimentio said, patting Olive's head.
Olive smiled. "Anything to help Master Dimentio bring justice."
"Justice?" Ashi gasped. "He's not going to bring justice! He's only going to bring-"
Dimentio snapped, and group of purple strings stitched his mouth shut. "Anybody else want to be smart with me? You'll only suffer the same fate as him if you fail to be silent."
Izuku prepared his battle stance. "You're crossing too many lines, villain."
Dimentio scoffed. "Please, just call me Dimentio. Look, I know I'm a man of formality, but there's a certain line I draw."
"Let those students go. Now."
"Or what? You're going to hit me? With those fake little powers of yours? I know the truth, Izuku Midoriya. You're a liar; like me, but I've turned mine into an art."
Izuku tried to punch the jester, but Dimentio teleported behind the Pro Hero instead. Hanging upside down, he decided to taunt Izuku further.
"You can learn how to use that ability to lie, and turn it into a super power of its own. Although, I suppose you already have. I mean, you did convince an entire world that you're a real hero by blood."
Izuku tried again, this time making Dimentio turn invisible.
"Oh, you almost got me! Maybe if you were a real hero, you would have beaten me into the ground already! But I guess you'll never be as good as the pros; will you?"
"I think you're underestimating me."
"Are you going to bring out one of your other stolen Quirks on me now? I'm going to keep avoiding them anyway, so why bother?"
"What are you talking about?" Izuku tried to hit him, again and again, but he couldn't hear his movements or see the dirt shift. His voice surrounded him.
"I've been studying you. I've watched all of your battles. I've seen all of your moves. I know how to fight you, but you don't know how to fight me. You're lost, confused, uncertain. The only way out of this is if you surrender."
"You want me to surrender? Then come out and fight me like a man! You're just hiding, sneaking around like a coward!"
"I'm not hiding, simply observing."
He pay closer attention to Dimentio's voice.
"And you're hardly even fighting yourself, so why would I waste my energy on somebody as weak and worthless as you?"
It came from one direction alone. He was using some sort of ability to throw Izuku off...He only had to pinpoint the exact direction his voice was coming from. Thankfully, Dimentio seemed egocentric and arrogant, and with simple persuasion, he could make him talk about himself for hours.
"Why would you challenge me anyways? You know there is nothing you can do. You know that time is ending and reality is changing. You know that there will be no escape for heroes like you unless it's the sweet escape of dea-"
Izuku finally hit him, directly in the face, with a full-power punch. Dimentio became visible, revealing he had made copies of himself. He flew back from the impact, hitting the dirt and rolling across the ground. The copies vanished, and the students cheered.
"That's why I told you to stop underestimating me," Izuku claimed.
Dimentio rose to his hands and knees, blood dripping from his face. "You fool. You idiotic, foolish man. You have no idea what you've just done. Now you've made me mad, and that's the worst mistake you could ever make. You will regret ever living on this wretched plant when I'm done with you. I will make you draw your final breath, right where you stand." He got to his feet. "You broke my nose. You broke my f*cking nose! Do you know how hard it's going to be to keep my mask on now?!" He wiped blood off his face. "I wanted to toy with you, I wanted to see just how determined you were to actually stop me. I was playing fairly. But I won't hold back now." He held up his hand.
Izuku didn't like the feeling Dimentio gave him. It was tainted, beyond repair, and angry. Even when he had that grin, he was suffering inside. Whether the pain was caused by someone else or himself was unknown, but Dimentio let it fuel him. And he let it twist him. He let it make him insane.
Izuku had little time, so he had to do what he could. Dimentio was focused on killing Izuku now, but if he could just prevent him from using his Quirk...
He used Blackwhip to grab Dimentio's wrist. He pulled Dimentio close to him and kicked him back. Dimentio caught himself on one hand, pushed off it, and landed back on his feet. He wiped more blood from his mask, which had a large gaping crack in the center, where his nose was. Izuku saw a black, vein-like scar on the bridge of his nose. Dimentio glanced at the crack, then covered it with one of his hands.
Next came to trying a Wyoming Smash against him. It would make him mostly immobile, and hopefully at least knock him unconscious. Izuku charged him.
"I told you to stop!"
"And I told you that I was going to kill you," Dimentio said, remaining surprisingly calm.
He snapped once Izuku was close enough to him. Izuku ran into some sort of invisible barrier and fell over. The charge in his arm vanished.
Dimentio smiled, then laughed like a maniac. "You fell for it! Ahahahaha! You're dumb, just like Luigi! The smartest ones always fall for the easiest tricks! Ahaha!" He kicked his feet in the air, clearly meaning to mock Izuku.
Izuku punched the barrier.
"Forget it, oh great hero. It's indestructible! Now, for more serious business..." He landed on the ground, walked up close to Izuku, and held up his hand again. "Any last words for your students, Izuku?"
Izuku walked to the other side of the barrier, and Dimentio brought the students closer. "I'm sorry you have to be left alone like this. I know things seem hard, but I've stopped villains before when I was your age. You're all so smart, and you'll find a way out of this. I believe in you."
"Is that it?" Dimentio asked sassily. He clearly didn't have any taste in sweet final words.
"Well, no actually. I wanted to-"
"I don't care! Time to die! Ciao!"
The last sound was Dimentio's snap.
