"Well, there's the Buffster." A resigned Xander indicated the small blond dancing with a tall vampire after they talked their way passed the bouncer, simply by telling him they were vampires, a thought that still wigged Xander. He shook his head to get some of the rain wetting his hair off.
"Well, he's not ugly." Cordelia sighed. "I gotta admit, aside from the vamp thing, she does have the capacity to recognize salty goodness when she sees it."
"Something I can help you with?" A blond about Buffy's height wearing leather slunk up to them. "Mm, you together?" She eyed them both like she was hungry. Xander had no doubt whatsoever that she was a vampire. "I'd be happy to entertain you both. I'm Pam, one of the owners of Fangtasia." She leaned closer and made a show of inhaling. Xander managed to focus his gaze not on her cleavage, but on the cross she was wearing. Which wasn't burning her. These vampires really were different. "You smell...really good."
"After shave my girlfriend got me?" Xander offered as yet another supernatural something hit on him.
"No, you smell good, your blood." Her fangs snapped down, startling both teenagers. "Please tell me you want to be fed on."
"I didn't come here because I wanted to, I'm here to pick up a friend who got stranded and came in here to get out of the rain." Xander managed to answer, contemplating just what it was these supernatural females wanted from him, while trying not to freakout over a vampire wanting to feed on him. Ms. French wanted a virgin baby daddy and to eat his head. Ampata wanted his life force and now this lady wanted his blood. Argh, let me outta this freaking reality. "I'm not bleeding, how can you smell my blood?"
"Don't know much about vampires, do you?"
"I just want to collect my friend, go home and forget I was ever here." Xander muttered.
"You got a problem with vampires?"
"One killed my best friend, really doesn't endear me to you people." Xander answered stoically. "I hate to tell you this, but the small blond over there, dancing with the tall vampire, she's an underage human." The fangs retracted as she glared at him. "And so are we, we just want to grab her and go home, that's all."
"How did you get passed the bouncer?"
"For some reason he thought we were vampires."
"I'll kill him." The vampires snarled. "You don't smell anything like a vampire."
"Which I consider a good thing." Xander retorted. "He said he smelled something rotten, which is probably left over from a dead cat we had to deal with recently."
"Fine, get your friend and go. We could get in trouble for having underage kids in here. Word of warning, the way you smell, some vampires could lose control and just take what they want."
"Great, something else that wants to eat me in a not fun way." Pam escorted them over to the dancing couple, who stopped when they spotted them, it looked like the vampire had been about to bite Buffy, if Xander wasn't already on edge, that would have been enough to do it. But Buffy seemed fine, so he held himself in check. For now.
"Xander, Cordelia. You're here." Buffy stated the obvious as Pam stood on her tiptoes and whispered in the taller vampire's ear. He was eyeing Xander, who shuddered at the thought that this vampire might think he smelled good too.
"Time to go, Buffy, say goodnight to your playmate."
"Why don't you stay a while." Another voice said as Cordelia turned sharply, startled by a gust of wind heralding the arrival of another vampire and Xander sighed. It only takes a second for things to go to Hell.
"No." He replied. "We are not staying, please stop asking."
"Wasn't asking."
"I was afraid of that." He shook his head. Yep, only a second for things to go to Hell.
"Mind the rules." Buffy's dance partner reminded the vampire. "Respect the human's boundaries."
"I don't feel like following the rules right now, Sheriff." The vampire was a Sheriff? And the other vampire was willing to break the rules just because Xander's blood smelled good? 'I, really, really want out of this reality.' He sighed. "Seriously, someone needs to get the No Means No message out. Everyone, back off. We are leaving and will not be coming back."
"And I said you should stay awhile."
"Fine, have it your way. Don't say I didn't warn you."
"What does that -."
"By the flames of Faltine!" A circle of fire appeared around them as Xander clamped a hand around Cordelia's arm and another around Buffy's and for the first time teleported with two passengers, landing in the parking lot outside.
"A witch!" Pam snarled, backing away from the flames as the patrons started to panic and the human bartender grabbed a fire extinguisher and used it on the fire. Fortunately, it didn't take much to put it out.
Outside Xander quickly opened the portal back home and the three stepped though. "Only you, Buffy, could end up in a vampire club!" Xander griped as Joyce hugged Buffy.
"And only you could be a demon magnet in multiple realities!" Cordelia snarked. "They were practically fighting over who got to drink your blood, because your blood smells good to them!"
"Never, ever going back to that reality. The humans thought we were vampires and the vampires -. Buffy was dancing with a vampire and the vampires - I need a shower." He stormed out the back door and Cordelia followed him as a relieved Joyce and Dawn reassured themselves that Buffy was alright.
