Here it is...Page 4, and this gonna be someone who is helping the boy get back to the convention store, read carefully.
Page 4: Sanctuary and New Business...
Everyone has their place, where they need something to get their mind off things or a place where they need to express themselves and...need time to think, as the same...finds a new way of making a living.
In the afternoon, the girls are in the living room. Each one enjoys the latest episode of Dream Boat, while Lori is busy texting and appears truly angry. Luna nods to the beat in her headphones with a sad expression. Luan continues watching the show with Lynn, who is doing push-ups. Lucy is writing her poems, Lola is checking her hair, Lana is playing with Hops, Lisa is reading a book, and Lily is playing with her blanket. They hear humming, the girls see Leni coming out from the kitchen is Leni with a plate of lunch.
"What are you doing with that?" Lana asked likely to join in and eat some of it.
"I give it to Linky," Leni answered, looking at the stairs.
"As if," Lori muttered looking at the screen with a glare. "Let him starve,"
Luna turns to her with a frown. "Lori...it's not his-"
Lori turns to Luna with a raging look. "Of course, it is he's fault, he didn't do squat to save my relationship and yours!"
Flashback...
At the community center, everyone is cleaning up the place by the Louds, speaking of them, each girl sits together in chairs and watches Niko, who is extremely angry to say anything. Then the doors opened revealing Rita and Lynn Sr, both saw a huge mess even a few lights by the owners' phones and candles all over the place.
"What happened here?" Rita asked with a frown.
Niko goes to the parents with an angry tone. "Your nine daughters caused this much problem a few hours ago..."
"Niko please..." Amy pleaded placing her hand on Niko's shoulder, she went to Rita. "Hello...my name is Amanda Manfred but you called me Amy, this is my partner Niko, welcome to the community center, your girls make this so much this...problem, and one of them causes a power outage,"
Rita looked around in confusion. "Where's Lincoln?"
Both Amy and Niko are confused, the ladder points her thumb to Lincoln who's helping Sam place the last speaker away.
Lynn Sr shouted angrily. "LINCOLN!"
Lincoln flinched, then grew in annoyance. 'Argh...I know that sharp tone anywhere,' The boy sees his parents with a frown and goes to them. "Yeah, Dad?"
"Where were you, you suppose watching your sisters!" Lynn Sr shouted
That made both ladies even more confused, the boy responded. "I was not here, I didn't know they were here, this place used to be my place to visit and they ruined it!"
"This place? You mean to tell me, this place, you are helping these kids instead of your family?" Rita question
"At least they let me have time for myself, expressing what I got, at least this place is quiet enough," Lincoln responded crossing his arms and looking away.
"You mean those drawings, I thought it was a simple, not a whole hobby," Lynn Sr states thus making Lincoln's temper grow.
Amy places her hand on Lincoln's shoulder much to his surprise as she speaks with a smile. "Sir, Lincoln is an amazing artist, taught by my father, he's shown true craftsmanship and is the kind of kid who helps people who need it,"
Lincoln felt that as he smiled, he placed his hand on hers. "Wow, thanks Amy, I...appreciated that,"
At that moment, both individuals locked gazes with each other. Niko beamed at them, oblivious to Lynn Sr.'s confusion. Rita, noticed the interaction and her expression turned sharp, a low growl escaping from her lips. Having experienced much in her life, Rita recognized the significance of moments like this, when certain individuals formed bonds with her children, especially her son making her angry, that went beyond mere friendliness. Understanding the situation, she decided to intervene to halt the interaction.
Rita merely grabbed her son pulled him to her and glared at her. "Well, we gonna take our kids and leave!"
Amy made her frown and spoke in speechless. "Yeah, about that,"
Niko stepped in and spoke. "This level of damage, you two needed to pay for it,"
Both parents are shocked to hear that, though just a simple problem, not the whole payment, so the father of the Louds spoke. "S-So, how much exactly, thirty dollars, fifty, maybe hundred dollars?"
The owner of the place only sighs, walks towards them, and gives them a letter. "Looked, I know I am wealthy, but...your girls needed to face their consequences."
"So until you pay up, you all not welcome here," Niko added crossing her arms.
The Louds were not surprised, it was just one of the places they had been banned, but Lincoln was devastated that this place was one of the best things that ever happened to him, he was about to say something.
"Well fine, if girls are not welcome, so is my son," Rita added bringing her son to the door.
Everyone in the convention center is shocked, Lincoln does so well here, he loves this place, it can't be his end, Lori and Luna chatting with their couples.
"Boo Boo Bear...why you here, should least call me? I will come to see you!" Lori shouted
"Babe, I hang out with my sister, and she just wanna me to at least get more opened up to the real world...question, I heard you try to get Wi-Fi while your young siblings are causing so much trouble, why?" Bobby question
"Lincoln should be here to let me know, that tall woman so stubborn to give me a simple password, I just wanna talk to you more," Lori said reaching out to her boyfriend only he backed away from her. "B-Boo Boo Bear?"
"You know what Lori, I think I should have another day by myself," Bobby responded making Lori's heart shattered.
"Sam-" Luna tried to speak but Sam was stern.
"Luna, you brought so many speakers, this is a convention center, not a whole stadium!" Sam shouted angrily
"I just try to have a good time here," Luna states, surprising Sam. "Oops..."
"Oh, so it's all about you, I thought you were doing it for your brother," Sam shouted making Luna flinch. "Luna-"
"Luna, let's go right now, young lady!" Lynn Sr shouted in command.
Luna only sees anger and disappointment in her girlfriend's eyes, shunned, turning to her family, Lincoln gets dragged away, which only makes him ten times more saddened by this place which is the first thing that can be...himself.
At home, Lincoln is dragged to the house by Rita as others come in, the boy pulls away from his mother and glares deeply at each of his sisters except for Lily.
"I can't believe you guys did this to me!" Lincoln shouted angrily
"Where were you, you should be with your sisters?!" Lynn Sr question
"I was doing something, they shouldn't be there anyway, that place only...I can be myself," Lincoln shouted
"We just wanna know what you are up to, you be avoiding us this month," Lynn state
"What, so I spent time with others is a bad thing?!" Lincoln question
"Don't you get it, this is summer vacation, going to events together as a family, we needed to be together as a family!" Lynn Sr shouted
"Oh like the time I do a magic show I am interested in, no one shows up, the time I play a chess game tournament at the park, you guys say busy, the time I wanna go to the watch new superhero movie, but they wanna pick a romantic movie, you two assist we all watch, IT'S LIKE MY DECISION DON'T MATTERS,"
"Alright Lincoln, that's enough, you gonna respect your parents and your sisters, and from here on now, you forbidding go to that go to that place!" Rita shouted
"WHY? WHY CAN'T I-" Lincoln shouted
"END OF DISCUSSION!" Rita roars as she turns to head in the kitchen.
Lincoln looks down. He's always following his parents' orders, even if some are unfair or he deserves it. But that convention center is a place where he can be who he is. Now, one of his parents is just forbidding him from going. His face turns red in pure rage. He tightens his fist, holding his breath until he hears Carl's lesson. He walks off to the stairs. They only listen to a loud slam.
Lynn Sr sighed and looked at the girls. "You girls go to your rooms, we need to talk right now,"
They go to the stairs without any word, it seems too much for them to talk about, Lynn Sr goes to the kitchen, sees his wife, and looks in the sink. "Hon?"
"I just don't want my boy to go near that place Lynn, the summer is supposed to have them be together, not fall apart," Rita states looking up. "We are busy with work, Lincoln only one can help them,"
"We just needed someone to help him, trying to make him realize he's being harsh," Lynn Sr said rubbing his head.
Rita looked up seeing through the window, the night sky and moon. "I know who might help,"
Flashback Ends...
"If he wants to starve, let him starve," Lori states with a glare.
"That's harsh Lori, even for you," Lisa responded.
"He better hope Bobby texts me back, if not," Lori said seeing Leni nowhere. "Oh, that-"
Leni stands at the door of Lincoln, she's frowns, her brother hasn't been out of his room in a long time, and slowly knocks on it. "Lincoln, I brought you some lunch, your favorite," She did not hear anything, she simply placed it on the floor like usual, she got an idea, one thing that she and her brother always did in the house, she put on her biggest cheerful tone and spoke. "Linky? Do you want to play some video games, it's 'like' be you choosing, whatever be, come on like go out and play on the screen...It's like you've gone away, we used to be best buddies and now we're not, I wish you would tell me why...Do you want to play some video games?" She placed her mouth on the door and muffled her voice. "It can be any kind of video game,"
Lincoln said in a saddened tone. "Go away Leni,"
Leni was shocked to hear that, the latest beg could get her brother out of the room and play with her, she shunned and walked away while speaking. "Okay bye..."
Once Leni walked down the stairs, Lincoln's door opened as he grabbed the plate, and closed it, inside, Lincon was simply sitting on his bed, slowly eating his food...due to his hard shore throat from his crying. He's simply enjoying his quiet place, and he almost becomes depressed, putting Lucy's emotions in shame, he lost one place that suits him, all because...then suddenly hears a ringing tone. He looked at his phone, saw a buzz tone and the screen was on, he grabbed it, seeing his screen showing a small picture of an old man. The boy gets a small smile, answers it, and speaks in slight happiness. "Pop-Pop,"
"Kiddo, our first summer vacation called, how are you?"
"Well, at first, it was great, but now..." Lincoln answered trying to find the reason.
"I understand, your mother called me, about everything,"
"What she says, I didn't do-"
"I know, how about we hang out together, I have my old wagon, thought you and I spent a day having a little fun in town and check out something that might surprise you,"
Lincoln looks and thinks he doesn't want to go out all week, but Pop-Pop wants to help him, so the boy looks at his grandfather's screen as he nods and speaks. "Okay, Pop-Pop, I'll get ready."
"Good, I come to the house in the afternoon,"
Lincoln sees Pop-Pop hang up as he is getting ready, gathering his clothes and a towel, he looks at the mirror, looking at the simple orange collar shirt. He wondered about himself, he wanted to be just like his grandfather, but sometimes he needed something fitting...himself.
In the living room, the sisters are doing their normal routine, Luna sees a vehicle appear in the street, and a honk makes them all stare out the window, then spots Lincoln coming down with his clothes on while having his journal. "Lincoln?"
"I going to spend a day with Pop-Pop," Lincoln answered
"What?! What about us?" Lynn complains, and so do all of them.
Lincoln rolls his eyes. "Look, he called me from mom...tell her that." He closes the door.
The girls spot Rita coming out of her room. "Girls, before you start shouting, I called Pop-Pop to spend time with Lincoln, help the boy's mind straightened up, and stop the whole 'Done' thing, so it's just for us today,"
Lynn Sr. came in with a smile. "That's right. So, for today's activities, we're going to the new opening, RetroLand!" The girls cheered in delight.
Lincoln is amazed at this vehicle and looks at his grandfather with a smile. "How did you get a car like this Pop-Pop,"
"Hey, you are in a war, and you can keep whatever you have done with your work," Pop-Pop said as he focused on the road, smiling at his planning.
On the porch of the Loud House, Charles seems to be sleeping on the first step. He looks up to see a vehicle parked in front of the house, and he begins to growl until the familiar dog barks in delight, as the person petting him, who happens to be Sam, smiles at him.
"Hi Charles, I just here helped Lincoln," Sam spoke while Dan and Girl Jordan placed stuff near the garage. "Deliver him,"
Throughout the whole day, Pop-Pop and Lincoln enjoy their time; a tripped paintball, the Orange Tigers vs Deep Fangs, which they won in a landslide, the arcade thus Pop-Pop on the dance floor, dominates the high score while everyone including Lincoln cheering him on. Once they finished, they were greeted by Ronnie Anne and Bobby, they came to Gus's Arcade, well they came across the place while walking, and greeted old coworkers of Bobby's, right now, they were getting lunch, so the eldest Loud offered them to eat with them.
In the early afternoon, they are at the pizza place, eating their meals, Pop-Pop taking notice of Lincoln, writing down in his journals when he finishes eating until hearing buzzing, pulls out his phone, only making a frown. "What's wrong kiddo?" Pop-Pop asked
"Oh, Leni posted me of getting me an Ace Savvy toy from RetroLand," Lincoln answered.
They were shocked to hear the news, and Pop-Pop's eyes widened in shock. "Wait, they went to an amusement park without you?!"
"Yeah, it's whole punishment," Lincoln answered looking down with sadness. "Until I learn the importance of being there for your 'family', they won't do anything for me, just only meals...I do things myself, like when they go out and have fun...I have to stay until I apologize to them,"
The Hispanic girl growls deeply and tightens her fist, muttering. "¡Esa imbécil y la jauría de perras!"
Bobby turns to his sister in shock. "Ronnie Anne, languages!"
"It's true Bobby. They go out and leave him, you can't believe it's right!" Ronnie Anne shouted making Bobby wonder about that.
"So that's why you are in the convention center all the time," Pop-Pop responded with low anger and rubbed his eyes. "Kiddo, I'm sorry, I didn't know that part when chatting on the phone, then talk to your parents,"
"It's not just them...it's I also," Lincoln said they looked at him in confusion, twirling his straw from his cup of soda. "I realized I kept doing my sisters' activities, helping achieve each award, while I, did nothing at all, just wasting my time, but since the vocation started, I do things in the convention center and getting noticed by people,"
"Also, me to kiddo, I'm glad you found your heart in arts, you can also be interested in different ways, I know you can find it, just take time, if you find it, I support you no matter what," Pop-Pop stated.
"Yeah, little bro, I'm proud that you have something; you just needed to express it," Bobby smiled and fist-pumped.
"And other things, hope finds a sport you can do, can't sit in a chair all day," Ronnie Anne states
Lincoln spots two kids playing soccer outside in the playground, and he smiles at them. "Yeah, thanks, Pop-Pop, Bobby, Ronnie Anne. Do you want to see what I can do with my artistic skills?"
"I thought you never asked," Ronnie Anne stated with a smile.
"Do it in front of us?" Bobby questioned with an eyebrow.
"No, in fact, our last part of the location I want to show you," Pop-Pop responded.
Sam closes the garage door and wipes the dust from her hands. "There, Lincoln is going to be happy,"
"Good, now where is Snowflake," Girl Jordan said looking around.
Dan starts up the car. "Well, we had done here, let's go before that family comes,"
The girls nodded and went to the van, so the oldest texted her phone. 'Least letting Amy know,'
In the far, that leaves to the forest, passing through the large hill, Pop-Pop parked the car as Lincoln, Ronnie Anne, and Bobby came out witnessing a large, opened field with a manor with two buildings. Pop-Pop goes closet one.
"So, this is..." Lincoln asked
"Yeah, Carl's childhood home, a place that was not suited to be rich for him, so he got a building to express himself," Pop-Pop answered.
Ronnie Anne looked around and shrugged. "I understand, rich kids grew up being snobs or becoming rebels,"
"So...why here," Bobby asked as they approached the building.
Pop-Pop answered by flipping a switch lighting up the place, the kids covered their eyes so brightly, that once they uncovered, they were shocked to see loads of painting throughout the walls even the ceiling. The mostly shocked is Lincoln, all over this art is amazing and has been there for a long time, Lincoln spoke with a smile, "So this the place,"
"Yes, the art of Carl during his childhood and teenage years is something I cherish. I often came here to hang out with him; we have a history together," Pop-Pop said as he paused. Lincoln, Ronnie Anne, and Bobby noticed a white wall covered in spray paint, also many paint cans, and art supplies scattered around. The eldest Loud turned to his grandson. "Lincoln, it's time to express yourself. Make your mark on this wall."
Lincoln surprised by what his grandpa says, sees a spray can thrown at him, and the boy catches it. "I...don't know, really do make least my journal, tech pad, heck a large sketch sheet, but a whole wall."
"Come on Lame-O, we know you can do it, you are not alone, we can help you if you need a hand," Ronnie Anne states as Bobby nods.
Lincoln smiles at them, so he walks to the wall, Pop-Pop gives him something to protect his grandson; a white sheet tied up to his mouth and goggles so no stain on the important part of his face. Ronnie Anne thinks he needs some music to help him keep on going, so she pulls out her phone and plays music, putting in rock and roll which all of them enjoy.
In the amusement park, the people enjoy their time in a place that brings them joy, some of them go on rides, some win prizes, and some enjoy their meals. And that is the same of the Louds, who they at their outside table, each one simply eating while chatting.
"Junior, next time you're going to win some prizes, don't shove people," Lynn Sr stated little disappointed in his sports daughter.
"Hey, they taking too long, I wanna play," Lynn shouted angrily
Rita shook her head. "It's called a line, including you Lola,"
"Hey, they say to wait, beauty before age!" Lola shouted turning to her left. "Lincoln, I needed you to help-" Then seeing no sight of her brother, she sighs. "Oh, he's not here,"
"Yeah, he's simply hanging out with Pop-Pop," Lana states
"It's kinda bumped off little bro not here," Luna said with a frown.
Lori muttered a little glared. "Hey, he says he did with us, he not be part of us our fun, let him miss out,"
Rita heard it and shouted. "Lori Loud!"
"Mom, he didn't do anything to help me keep my relationship with Bobby, Lincoln talks to him!" Lori shouted crossing her arms while looking away.
"Lori, I understand, but should know can't keep that anger in you for so long," Lynn Sr states
"Yeah, might make you blow up alright, more you already are," Luan joked as she laughed only stopped by Lori's glare.
"If like, I can do something to cause his ears to ring," Lisa said making everyone look at her. "What?"
"Just wished Linky with us," Leni responded with a frown.
"Chill, I'm sure Stinkcoln simply playing video games with the pets," Lynn said eating her pizza.
It was nighttime, and the lights illuminated an old building, casting a creative glow. Lincoln focused intently on his work, spray-painting the surface with passion and determination. Alongside Ronnie Anne, Bobby, and his grandfather, Pop-Pop, they supported Lincoln, putting his efforts to bring the project to life. The music played in the background, fueling his drive to keep pushing forward. Onlookers were captivated by the young artist's unique style as he applied a vibrant mixture onto the clear wall. Once he completed his masterpiece, he set down the can and sat on a crate, taking a moment to admire the beauty of his creation.
Bobby awning. "Whoa little bro, didn't you have it in you,"
Ronnie Anne is also amazed by the sight of it. "Lincoln, this is...wow..."
Pop-Pop pats his grandson's shoulder. "Kiddo, this is something else,"
They stand in awe before a breathtaking landscape...that feels like the heart of an entirely new world. The sky above is a stunning tapestry of rich purples and deep blues, dotted with a myriad of colorful planets that seem to twinkle like stars against the background. This enchanting planet boasts multiple moons, each casting a gentle glow illuminating the vibrant terrain below. The land is alive with a diverse array of flora and fauna. Crystal-clear streams and rivers weave through the lush greenery, bustling with shimmering fish that dart playfully beneath the water's surface. In the expansive forest surrounding them, creatures of all shapes and sizes roam freely, basking in the peacefulness of their home.
"I think calling it...A New World," Lincoln said wiping off the paint by using an old sink that was working. "A challenging place that guides you to your peace,"
All three took pictures of Lincoln's newest artwork, sending it online to anyone who could see it, Pop-Pop looked at his watch. "Oh time to go, it's late, I dropped you, kids, off, right before we got dinner,"
The kids nod as they begin walking out, having a good time watching one of them make something from his heart, unaware that he is leaving something behind.
In the car park from the sidewalk of the Loud House, Lincoln, and Pop-Pop came out carrying a bag of Burpin' Burgers. Both came in the front, seeing Vanzilla meaning they were inside, so two white-haired looked at each other and nodded, once they got inside, greeted by nine females watching TV.
"Oh Lincoln, Pop-Pop, you back, how's your day," Lana asked
"Fine, I'm tired, get to eat my dinner in my room if that's okay Pop-Pop?" Lincoln asked seeing his grandpa smiling at him.
"Of course, I wanna talk to your parents," Pop-Pop answered to turn to his daughter and son-in-law. "Alone,"
Lincoln nodded as he went upstairs, while the rest of Loud's kids followed. Pop-Pop looked at them with a simple frown, knowing it was serious when he did that. The eldest Loud looked at Rita and Lynn Sr with the glarest look he ever did.
Lincoln can hear voices from below, so he puts on his noise-canceling earbuds, doesn't wanna listen cause it is private and a little wrong. He loved the mustard burger meal, thinking of finishing it off by writing it down, so he grabbed his bag, put his hand in his bag to grab his journal, feeling papers and pens, but not a solid covered, getting worried. He looks at his bag and pulls away with worry. 'I left my journal back, the old building place,"
In the early morning, Lincoln woke up in alarm, he grabbed his phone to turn it on and saw a message from the top of the screen, pressed it, and saw Pop-Pop message him, guessed posts it last night, a link from a website, right before putting two things; a user and password...an account of L.L and having fifty dollars, surprised, going back to checks the message again.
"Hey kiddo, I talked to your parents, little arguing, so I left early...as so, I make this start your art business, try me this whole art commission can help spray your name even further, I put my money in just you being a good grandson,"
Lincoln smiles as he texts back. "Thanks, Pop-Pop, I go to make you proud,"
Lincoln brushed his teeth, dressed up, and grabbed his bag, he was about to take Lynn's bike for an hour, and once he went inside the garage, he was shocked to see what was in front of him; it was his bike gift from Leni; but turns into something new; the color scheme is black and with large orange strap sideways, having an engine motor at the side, and having rear baskets with full of art supplies, and even got a headlight. He sees one of the baskets has a chain with a note, he grabs it and reads, sees first person name. "Dan?"
"Lincoln, I fix your bike and make some upgrades, this is yours, having your bike engine gets long places, so be sure to keep that key in your safe, don't give it to anyone,"
Then see loads of small messages from Sam, Girl Jordan, Haiku, Meli, Cricket, and loads of people to get well and come back, even Amy and Niko, saying. 'We miss you,'
Lincoln tears up a little of those words. 'I gonna repay you guys, no matter what...in the right way,"
On the road, Lincoln begins riding on his bike, using his newest engine making him go faster, he wears his helmet and safety gear, smiling at how fast he has gotten. "Oh man, this is fun!"
After an hour, he gets his journal back and travels back down to the rich place of town for a shortcut, he keeps on traveling down the street until full breaks and sees a man in his thirties coming out of the door of the gate, going to his car.
"Argh, I will never be so insulted!" He shouted angrily
A maid, an elderly lady came out with a begging look. "Sir, sir...please, we needed an art picture...I give you double!"
The man goes inside his car and starts his engine while shouting. "Good luck getting her to stand still!"
He drives off, the butler huffing in frustration. "Oh what am I going to do, the parents wanted the young lady's art picture, so she sent out three of them,"
Lincoln stepped off to check his wheels and looked at the maid. "Huh, ma'am? Are you alright?"
"No, the parents will be furious if the young lady's portrait isn't finished on time," She said turning to Lincoln, surprised. "Hey, are you a child that being an artist?"
"Yeah, heard of me," Lincoln questioned with widened eyebrow.
"Your newest art is blooming through the internet, my name is Ms. Jenkins," She introduces and gets an idea. "Hey, how about you help me,"
"Help you?" Lincoln asked
"You can finish up the artwork of the last three artists, please just...this once," Ms. Jenkins begged.
"Well," Lincoln hesitated, not wanting to go to do the whole rich brat thing again.
"I triple what those artists are doing," Ms. Jenkins states
Lincoln looked down, glancing at the old lady, with a sad look. "Alright, I do it, can I have breakfast along with that deal?"
"Done," Ms. Jenkins responded with a relief.
Lincoln walked Ms. Jenkins to a large house. He parked his bike on the side and entered the building. Inside, he admired the decent architecture, filled with ancient artifacts and Chinese furniture, with boxes around. He even noticed a symbol of an animal. "Is that a flying boar?" he wondered.
"It's the family symbol." Ms. Jenkins said step out of the back. "Young Lady!"
Lincoln spots someone sitting on the ground, near the pond, she happens to be his age, wearing a white and golden Chinese gown, having a black-large hair bun with a green headband, turning to them, standing up, walking to them 'accidentally' drops on the ground.
"Toph!" Ms. Jenkins shouted at her and grabbed a folding stick. "You should always carry your walking stick even if you got 'it'."
'Oh, she's blind,' Lincoln thought in surprise.
"S-Sorry, I forgot, who's with you?" Toph asked looking at her.
"Toph, meet Lincoln," Ms. Jenkins said as Lincoln went to them. "He'll make a portrait of you,"
"R-Really?" Toph questions looking straight.
"Yes, come along you two," Ms. Jenkins responds bringing the kids to a room, while Lincoln spots Toph move her dodge a small hole in the ground. 'Hmmm,'
In the living room, Lincoln examines the place and the unfinished portrait; only the background and body are finished, but the head and coloring aren't finished.
"Now Toph, be nice to this boy and let him finish the portrait. I'm going to make some breakfast for you two," Ms. Jenkins said as she walked out.
Lincoln turns a blind girl. "So...okay, all I need-" Only he stopped by a hand on his face by Toph.
Toph glared and spoke in an annoying tone. "Look, I don't care who you are, if you think just get easy because of a blind girl, think again,"
'Oh, she's got attitude,' Lincoln thought with a small frown, as he spoke. "Look, I'm here just finish the portrait, is that so hard?"
"Huh yeah, those artists before you always babying me, worried about my safety, so I teach them a lesson," Toph answered crossing her arms, and walked off. "I bet if I get hurt, you worried if I tell on you,"
"Heh, not really, you probably take it in and punch me in the arm if I help you," Lincoln stated making her surprised. "I already got a friend just like you but she is more aggressive and passive,"
Toph turns to him with an eyebrow. "You...don't see me helpless?"
"Nope, in fact," Lincoln said making a trip on the ground.
Toph grabbed him and looked at him with an annoyed look. "What are you doing?!"
"I knew it!" Lincoln shouted with a smile and looked at her. "You may be blind, but you can see differently, right?"
"Dame my reflex," Toph muttered, looking at him. "Alright, let's talk,"
"We talk while painting you, trust me, I can keep a secret," Lincoln replied with a smile.
After a whole hour of painting the portrait, Lincoln finishes it, by putting his signature name on the bottom side, and both go to the backyard again. They sit on a bench, simply talking to each other, mostly Toph about her 'Unique' skill she has.
"So, how did you see, you kinda having powers?" Lincoln asked
"It's more than that," Toph answered rolling her eyes. "I was trained by a red glasses man who same problem as me, but he uses other senses to can throughout the world, he taught me neutral jing,"
"Jing? It's a type of fighting?" Lincoln asked
"Yeah, eighty-five of them, but mostly do the third, neutral jing is the key, it involves listening and waiting for the right moment to strike," Toph said standing up as she walked, feeling the earth, she smiled. "I can sense the pond moving, the wind blowing my face, I can feel the whole earth under my feet,"
Lincoln is beyond stunned. "That is beyond amazing, so...no one knows about it, not even your parents?"
Toph looks down. "No, I don't think they ever believe in me, the only one who knows about it is Ms. Jenkins, and now you, if I told people, everyone think I'm weird,"
Lincoln goes to her and goes in front of her. "Toph, you not weird, I not see you any different even before you tell me, just same like anybody else,"
Toph knows he is telling the truth, his heart is smooth and steady, she smiles at this boy, way different than those her parents tried to befriend her. Either mocked her due to being blind or pity her for not seeing. "You are something else Bittersweet,"
Lincoln smirked at her. "Back at you,"
"Kids, breakfast is ready,"
At the entrance, Lincoln placed his helmet on his head, and looked at the gates, seeing Ms. Jenkins and Toph. "Well guess is goodbye, for now, maybe we should hang out Toph,"
"Yeah, I like that," Toph said as she made a small smile.
"Thank you so much, young man, I'll make sure to put the cash in your account," Ms. Jenkins called.
Lincoln smiles and begins to ride down, going through the gates. Once it's cleared, Toph frowns, and she walks back home, Ms. Jenkins following her. "Are you sure you don't want to tell him?"
"You know hate goodbye, he just a boy I just met, nothing more," Toph said as she turned back. "But make sure you pay him...big, 'cause he makes me smile," Ms. Jenkins nodded in agreement, Toph frowned as she whispered in sadness. "Goodbye, Lincoln,"
He just made it to the park, Lincoln wonders what he is going to do today, trying to figure out when he will go until he stops at a traffic light, waiting for the green, until he hears a ding from his phone...he picks up his phone, checks his message, sees the same sight of his business, taps it, once take notice of the sight, he's eyes are widened, fallen on his ground, out of the shock of how much he got pay.
The boy brought his bike to the bench and looked at the amount again. 'Why give this much, I know she's rich, but this whole level...fifty grand?' He checks a message from below from Toph.
"Listen, I not much of a hugger, so get to straight...I leaving Royal Woods, and my parents travel a lot, so I keep simply saying thanks for the art and talk. I needed it, so I give you this cash out of quote 'kindness of my heart', go crazy on it. Thanks for being my friend Bittersweet,"
"I...wrote this for her young man, thank you for everything, stay safe, and hope to see you someday, ciao!"
Lincoln saddened, he's didn't Toph was leaving, he could stay there a little longer even though her parents were coming back, really wished he could at least have something for her on her farewell. Then he gets an idea, smiles, one pays his family debt and a whole lot of...chalk.
At the Beifong Family's gates, the man and lady come out with the moving people and talk to them. "Yes, be sure to be careful, not a slight damage, it's a one of a kind.
"Yes Mr. Beifong," One of the movers.
Toph walked out with Ms. Jenkins, the maid saw Toph looking frowning. "It's going to be okay dear,"
The blind girl simply looked down and spoke. "I hope,"
"Hey, what is this,"
"Someone draw on the sidewalk?"
Both Ms. Jenkins and Toph looked surprised, going to the driveway, Ms. Jenkins saw it and smiled, so Toph took off her slippers, felt the vibration of the earth, revealing a fist breaking through the ground like a wall, simply saying 'Keep your spirit strong,'
Toph smiles, she has a friend send her a last message, so she kneels, and places her fist on the chalk, fist pump it. 'Thanks, Bittersweet,'
At the convention center, everyone doing the same thing, with a little less happiness, by few people there, they see an empty spot of art place, happens to belong to Lincoln. Until seeing the door opened up, slowly revealing to be Lincoln, all of them shocked at him being there, and he waved his hand. "Hey, guys..."
Just everyone goes to him with happiness and cheerfulness, all of them hug, rub his head, and pat him on the shoulder or back...even Amy comes in and hugs Lincoln. "Oh Lincoln, I'm so glad you're back, I miss you!"
Lincoln smiles as hugged back. "I miss you guys,"
Niko goes to him with a smile. "Lincoln, it's good to see you again, I was saying your family is banned, not you,"
"I know, but my mom doesn't want me to come here if all the family is not welcome, so I need to repay you guys," He took out a mail letter, and gave it to her. "Two grand..."
Everyone was surprised, Niko grabbed it and looked inside seeing hundreds of them. "How did you do it,"
"A friend of mine, I work hard to get it, I hope this helps me to-" Lincoln said only getting hugged tighter.
"Of course you welcome back!" Amy screams as everyone cheers.
"I still the cake, glade didn't eat it, guess ice cream and cake and above all pizza for the celebration of your return,"
Everyone cheers even greater before, all of them begin to get the long chairs, Lincoln places down, gets their hand rubbed by Sam, a light punch by Girl Jordan, and a leg hugged by Meli, even Dan nods towards him with a smile.
