Naruto walked into what was now his office, yes the building needed fixing but it was an absolute miracle it still stood at all, he took a moment to take in that his lifelong dream had finally come to fruition, he had been elected as the New Hokage.
Yes he still had to impress the Jonin and prove he was worthy to hold the title before he was permanently sworn in and his face added to the Hokage monument but the Job was his he walked over to his desk and sat down allowing a small grin to spread across his face, he looked at the photos of the Third and Fourth Hokages that adorned the walls.
"Jiji, Dad, I've finally done it, and I even beat your record father. Youngest ever Hokage at sixteen, I doubt anyone is going to get this Job younger then me." A knock on the door shook him from his thoughts, "enter." He called out, the door swung open as the Commander of the Anbu walked inside.
"Lord Hokage." He greeted "I'm here to inform you of the customery four man Anbu squad that's is to protect you at all times within the Village." Naruto smiled softly. "Ah yes I remember causing, Old man Thirds Detail quite a bit of grief." The Anbu smirked under his mask, "Yes you also ran the rest of us raggard with your Pranks, Hokage-sama." Naruto laughed heartily "indeed I did, so tell me about the squad, will it be the same as Lady Fifth's detail or is it different for each Hokage." The blonde asked.
"As you know, it is required for the Hokage to be guarded at all times and as such is given two different squads, the Anbu to protect them within the Village and the Hokage guard Platoon for trips outside the Village, the Anbu not only act as your Bodyguards for the Hokage and their family but also as messengers. With a new Hokage comes a new protection detail however, so with that said I will have to recruit the four that will be assigned to your protection and should have them ready for you in the next few days."
Naruto inclined his head in acceptance, "Of course, well I look forward to meeting them. Thank you commander."
Akatsuki Base
A man with an Orange spiral mask and the cloak of the Akatsuki roamed the halls of the hideout as something akin to a Venus Flytrap rose from the floor. "Ah Zetsu, you've returned tell me what happened where is Pein."
"Pein has been defeated, Lord Madara, after he levelled the village, Naruto returned and engaged him in combat defeating five of the six, it appeared the sixth path had him, but something happened that caused Uzumaki to go into tailed beast state nearly unleashing all nine tails, but he appeared to wrestle control back before defeating the last Pein and then engaging Nagato in conversation. I regret to inform you that Nagato used the art of rinne rebirth to revive all those killed during the invasion. And Konan has abandoned the group."
Madara was fuming at the betrayal by Nagato and Konan, plans would be made to deal with her and take back the Rinnegan. "Very well, we shall deal with her later, what of the Hokage." He asked through gritted teeth.
"The Fifth Hokage is currently in a Coma, I heard rumours that a new Hokage will be elected in the coming days if one already hasn't been. All signs point to either Danzo or Kakashi being appointed."
Madara sighed in annoyance, "Hatake will most likely refuse it, and knowing the man I won't be surprised if Danzo does end up as Hokage." Turning to the man that just walked in the room he started giving out assignments. "Kisame you will go and do what Sasuke apparently could not, capture the eight tails and do so quickly, Zetsu you will return to Konoha and find out who the sixth Hokage will be." Both nodded before leaving to do as requested. Madara sighed once more. "Time for a little family reunion." With that last thought the man activated his Kamui and vanished from the hideout.
Hokage Tower, Office of the Hokage
Naruto walked towards his office to meet with the Daimyo and the Elders his first induction ceremony would be taking place that day. Already the village was gathering outside the fixed Hokage Tower for the announcement. Walking inside he saw that the Daimyo and Elders were already inside with the exception of Danzo, which he was thankful for. Both the Anbu and Jonin Commanders were also in the office all of them congratulating him on his promotion thanking them all he quickly ducked into the bathroom and summoning Fukasaku, "Hello Fukasaku, do you have the clothes I requested."
The elder toad chuckled. "Of course Naruto-boy, Shima says that you better appreciate how quickly she was able to do this in such a small time frame." Naruto grinned at that "Of course pass on my thanks will ya." The toad nodded before congratulating him and vanishing in a puff of smoke, leaving Naruto to get changed taking off his orange jacket and pants he put on his new clothes (think of his outfit from after the Fourth war/Naruto the Last Movie) once that was one he placed on his Jonin vest (perk of being Hokage automatically going up to Jonin rank) and then he put on his cloak which was a variation of his Sage Mode cloak and the one his Father wore as the Fourth Hokage, it was a dark Orange with black flames lick the bottom and sixth Hokage written in white on the back of it. Nodding his head he walked out into the office.
As Naruto walked out of the bathroom, everyone's eyes widened at the sight of him, the Damyio and Elders taken aback at the resemblance to the Fourth. "Well that speaks for itself." Thought the Fuedal Lord. "The boy is the spitting image of Minato, if he is not the Fourths son I will eat my own pants." Before anyone could speak an Anbu entered the room doing a double take at Naruto's appearance before he composed himself. "Everything is set Damyio-Sama all the people have assembled outside."
The Fire Damyio smiled. "Very well then, shall we get this party started," Everyone nodded their heads as they made their way to the roof where the Hokage was formally inducted and from where they made their speeches. Naruto was asked to remain at the door where he couldn't be seen by the populace until he was called. The Damyio walked forwards and at his appearance the whispers all died down as all attention was placed on the ruler of their country.
Ladies and Gentlemen welcome, I come before you all today full of pride a new age has approached Konoha and we all here are lucky to witness it, now the last few days have not been kind to this village, but rest assured that the Land Of Fire will do what it can to help rebuild this village back to its former glory and beyond." Cheers where head throughout the area at the news, the Damyio let it be for a bit before he motioned for quite.
"As some of you are aware, we also hold some bad news, due to the attack a few days ago, The Fifth Hokage, was left in a Coma and it is unsure when or if she will wake up, however with the bad comes the good, due to the uncertainty of Tsunades condition we have found and elected a worthy successor to take her place, this position will be made permanent upon a Jonin Vote that will take place in a few weeks time, if Tsunade awakens between now and then she may retake her place as the fifth if that is what is decided." Hushed whisperings could be heard as the man turned to Homura to give him the hat before ushering Naruto closer.
"The man we've chosen is a noble one who has proven his mettle ten times over and proven he has what it takes to help lead this village to greatness again." Naruto walked closer as the hat was handed to him. Holding it in his right hand he walked right next to the Damyio holding the hat above his head just as the feudal lord finished speaking. "He is a hero of Konoha, you know him, you love him please join me in welcoming your Sixth Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki."
Gasps could be heard at seeing Naruto standing their looking every bit the image of a confident young man, the older generation had to rub their eyes as they stared at a man that looked just like their former Hokage while the younger were stunned that their hero was now their leader while not being much older then them." Naruto grinned down at the speechless crowd as he spoke.
"I know the last few days have been daunting for all of us, but I vow to you all now that I will do my best to bring this village back to and past its glory. We will show everyone that just because we are down does not mean we are out. I am Naruto Uzumaki, Sixth Hokage of Konoha and that is my promise, BELIEVE IT." The crowd went ballistic as everyone cheered to heavens, people screaming and chanting his name in celebration, the Village had a new leader and they knew somehow everything would be okay. Amongst those where the Konoha eleven whose reactions to Naruto's Induction varied. "Naruto, your flames of youth burn brighter each day, you truly are worthy to be my enteral rival." Shouted Lee with enthusiasm, before he could continue his teammate tenten bonked him on the head. "Don't your dare ruin the moment Lee." She scolded, leaving the green clad ninja to nurse his head.
Their final teammate Neji, shook his head in amusement at his team's actions, looking up at Naruto. "You truly are a unique guy Naruto, you may have shown me that to believe in fate is folly, but I truly believe it was yours to be Hokage."
Team ten also had their own reactions, as the current generation of Ino-Shika-Cho, celebrated the moment. Ino staring at the blonde boy "I know I said it before, but I really could fall for him now."
Chouji raised his back of chips to sky as a salute to his former classmate and friend "congratulations Naruto, might have to shout him a feed one day." Meanwhile Shikamaru was the one most affected by the events as he at his friend with a huge smile of his face. "Naruto you troublesome bastard, you actually went and did it." He thought amusedly "I always knew you would, just didn't think it would be this soon."
Team Eight were also affected by the news, from the three, two were clapping, while the third sulked, Shino stood their Stoically clapping for his classmate, a small smile tugging at his mouth, While Hinata on the other hand was shyly clapping for her longtime crush, happy he had succeeded at his goal.
Meanwhile Kiba was punching the ground as a dark cloud looked over him, his faithful companion Akamaru attempting to comfort the Inuzuka, Hinata also tried to help comfort him, while Shino, just shook his head at the antics of his teammate, he knew deep down Kiba was happy for their friend, but that didn't mean the boy was going to admit it.
And finally we have the Lone Kunoichi of team seven and teammate of Naruto, Sakura Haruno, she watched eyes widened as one of her best friends achieved his lifelong dream of becoming Hokage. Eventually becoming the loudest one to cheer amongst their group.
Tears of joy cascaded down her face at seeing Naruto standing their, looking down at all of them as their Leader "You finally did it, Naruto, Lord Jiriaya would be proud and so would Lady Tsunade." she could admit to herself that she somewhat worried that it was to early for him to take on this task, but she squashed those immediately, if anyone could do it she knew Naruto could.
Off to the side was an older group of friends among these people, were Kakashi, Iruka, Guy, Kurenai and Shizune. These people couldn't say a single word speechless as they were but that didn't stop them from smiling and clapping in congratulations to the young blonde.
Kakashi looked up to the sky "Kushina-San, Minato-Sensei, are you watching, you would be proud of the man your son has become, I am honoured to have called him my student."
Back on the Roof, Naruto once more spoke up.
"I stand here before you all a dream of mine finally fulfilled, and if it weren't for my friends who believed in me it never could have happened. They are the reason I am the man you see before you."
Pausing briefly he continued, "I'll admit I did not have the best childhood growing up, it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, I was alone for most of it but the past is in the past and I hold no grievances, as Hokage all those in the Village are my family and I will protect my family until my death." The older civilians who knew what he was talking about were thankful for the forgiveness, as the young Hokage continued talking.
"I promise that Konoha will be in safe hands with me as Hokage, the Will Of Fire will live on through all of us and carry on into the future generations, i swear to uphold the ideals of the previous Hokage and I will protect this village to the best of my abilities. From this point on I proudly serve the greatest of all the villages as your Sixth Hokage." Once more cheers of celebration ripped through the air everyone beyond happy with the blondes speech the public already loving their new leader.
It was the start of a new era in Konoha, the Era of the Sixth Hokage

Land Of Fire
A team of Ninja hailing from Kumo, rushed towards Konoha, the Jonin Leader Samui a big busty blonde was getting quite annoyed with the antics of the two Chunin with her Karui and Omoi.
Karui was getting steadily frustrated as she burst out in anger "Dammit all how long until we reach the blasted village, at this rate it'll be too late, Bee-Sensei could already be dead because of those Akatsuki bastards, we should be going after them. We don't need Konoha, Kumo and her army is more then enough."
The lone Jonin sighed, yes she knew that chances were their Sensei could be dead and the eight tails already extracted, but also knew that to have even a chance to succeed they needed help from the other nations. "Patience Karui, if we are to attempt a rescue mission we at least need help from Konoha, the Akatsuki are filled with S rank Shinobi, and Konoha has the most experience dealing with them, besides the one that attacked Sensei was an Uchiha, we are quite simply outmatched." Karui looked down knowing that her teammate was correct.
Omoi nodded his agreement, "This is true but how long until we reach Konoha." Samui thought for moment. "By my calculations roughly five days, three if we are fast enough." Both Chunin groaned and immediately started complaining.
"Children." Samui sighed in exasperation "I'm in charge of bloody children."

Konoha, Hokage Office
Meanwhile we find our hero sitting at his desk in the office, Naruto's Induction ceremony had finally ended as the crowd dispersed to restart repairs on what they could from the damage inflicted by Pein, the Damyio had also said goodbye. A knock at the door caused Naruto to look up and see his two Advisors standing at the door
"Ah Koharu-San, Homura-San, please come in." The elders walked inside and stood before the desk, "Hokage-Sama," they greeted respectfully. Naruto smiled ."What can do I for you." He asked
"As you know, Homura and myself are your official Advisors, we also serve as Elders of Konoha and have Served under Lords Third and Fourth as well as Lady Fifth's, reigns." Explained Koharu, while Naruto nodded.
"As your Advisors we are aware that you are fairly new to this job and that you lack the skills required to do this job, no offence meant." Naruto waved the female advisor off. "None taken I am aware of my current lack of knowledge in this area." He said calmly.
"That is good Hokage-Sama, as this is your first day on the job allow Homura and myself to give you a tour, during so we will introduce you to the heads of departments, it is important that you be introduced to them as they will be serving under you now. We will also show you locations accessible only to the Hokage and High ranking officials of Konoha."
Naruto nodded his consent as he looked at all the paperwork needing to be completed, he groaned silently but knew that tour would be the best thing. "A tour would be brilliant before that however." Naruto paused as his hands made a familiar seal "Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu." 10 clones appeared in the office. "You guys stay here and get started on this while I take this tour." The clones saluted him as Naruto stood, both advisors looked at each other in surprise to see that Naruto had already made use of the Jutsu that Lord Second created for this purpose, before they shrugged and started the tour. He was taken on a tour around the tower, he was shown where the elders worked and the council room before he was taken to an underground facility that held the prisoners Konoha captured.
He was reintroduced to Ibiki Morino head of Konoha Intelligence as well as Jonin Commander Shikaku Nara. Next he was introduced to the Hokage Guard Platoon, Naruto was pleased to meet them all afterwards Naruto was shown to the Archive placed within the Monument and was Accessible only to the Hokage, Elders and High Ranking Officials, they explained that the Archive was protected by a blood seal and could only be entered once his blood was placed on it.
As they entered the Elders explained what was held within. It was full of documents folders notes and scrolls all categorised orderly. Naruto stood in awe he knew that all of these would prove handy during his tenure as Hokage.
Homura chucked at the look on his face. "Impressive isn't it." He said, Naruto could only nod his head in agreement. "Well during your tenure as Hokage, you will have access to all of this, the Archive contains various scrolls of all the Jutsu from Konoha as well as some from other Villages that we have successfully obtained. Inside is also documents and notes from the past Kage, they also held their own scrolls and journals which can be found within, you are more then welcome to take these and read through as well to help get a better understanding of how to be Hokage."
Naruto eyes widened. "That would be extremely helpful." As he walked through and explored, afterwards he was taken to Anbu headquarters, the entrance was situated within the Hokage Tower basement it was one of many through Konoha but this served as the main base, as he walked through he noticed the office rooms the gym and training grounds but they walked past all those and entered the Anbu Commanders office. Upon their entry the Commander got up and bowed respectfully noticing that four other Anbu within the office did the same.
"Hokage-Sama, a pleasure to see you again." Naruto smiled. "Thank Commander, and you as well, it would appear you have been expecting us." The Commander nodded.
"Indeed I have, I wish to introduce you to the four Anbu that will be serving as your bodyguards." The four Anbu stepped forward. "We Have Cat, Mouse, Hound and Wolf." Naruto smiled at them, it is a pleasure to meet you all. Please take of your masks and introduce yourselves." The Anbu looked to the commander who nodded.
Cat stepped forward, My name is Yugao Uzuki, codename Cat, my role is as Tracker and Field Medic I will also serve as the Captain of this Squad." Next was Mouse. "My name is Hoki Taketori my role in the squad is as Sensor and Interrogation specialist." Hound was next "My name is Daijumi Doshin, Hokage-Sama, my role in the squad is the poison and trap specialist." And finally wolf walked forwards "my name is Jujumaru Toshiroki and I serve as the infiltration and weapons expert I am also the Assassin of the group."
Naruto clapped his hands together. "Well its a pleasure to meet you all, I look forward to working together." Yugao saluted him "as Captain I speak on behalf of all of us Hokage-Sama, when I say we vow to protect you with our lives." Naruto smiled "I thank you for your dedication Captain, you may get set yourselves up in my office, dismissed." The Anbu guard, bowed before they vanished presumably to take up spots of protection within the office.
With the meeting done the tour was over and they returned to the office upon which they noticed the clones all hard at work, Naruto gave a grin and vanished the clones as the Elders walked up the examine the paperwork
surprised it was actually very well done. Looking back at Naruto who had already taken his seat. "So Lord Sixth do you have any questions." Naruto nodded. "I do actually, in terms of promotions what is allowed and what isn't."
Homura inclined his head. "In regards to promotions, you cannot hand them out willy nilly, Genins may be promoted to Chunin either through the votes of the Chunins Exams or during a council session you may place one for nomination explaining your reason for it and then a vote will be held to determine if the person shall be promoted, the same is said for Promoting Chunin to Jonin, the only time you may promote someone without consulting the council is during times of war." Naruto nodded. "Very well, when is the next Council meeting cause I have a few people to nominate." Koharu spoke up this time, "The next Session will be held tomorrow so we may assess the damages of the village and start putting forth ideas on how to fix it."
"Very well, my last question pertains to the Jonin Vote, I would like to know the details about when it will take place."
Homura leant forwards as he explained. "The Jonin Vote is a customary tradition to see if the Candidate is actually worthy of the title, while the Damyio selects the candidate, it is not made official until the Jonin Vote once that takes place you'll be sworn in officially and your face added to the monument."
"Normally the vote would be held within two or three months of the Damyio selecting a new Hokage but due to the state of the village we may or may not push that back a couple more months."
"During the time between now and the vote, you must impress the Jonin and show them exactly why you are worthy to be the Hokage, once the vote is counted, you will need at least 70 percent of the Votes in your favour to remain as Hokage, the votes of All Jonin, Special Jonin and ANBU are counted during the event."
Naruto wasn't worried about the outcome of the vote he felt confident that in the months leading to it he would prove to everyone why he was worthy of the title. Koharu broke him out of his thoughts.
"As mentioned before tomorrow will hold the first Council Meeting of your tenure as Hokage, not just for reasons stated prior, it is also customery this is in order to show the new Hokage what they are like we this will be a regular occurrence while you remain the Hokage, the council members will also be very anxious to here from you in regards to any news or plans you may have in regards to the reconstruction effort."
"Indeed I have a few ideas I'll be sure to bring up tomorrow." The elders nodded "Were there any other questions, Hokage-Sama."
"Not right now no." he said, as the Elders stood up bowing slightly before they left the room. Naruto shook his head slightly, already he could tell tomorrow was going to be a very long day.
