One morning, Madoka Kaname woke up to get ready for school. When she was about to take a shower, her pink hair was knotted and frizzed up. She was shocked and screamed so loud it woke up Kyubey, a cat who she and her friend, Sayaka Miki, had met and given her and her friends powers.
Kyubey raced to the bathroom to see what was wrong. Lucky for them, Madoka had a towel wrapped around her body. "What's wrong, Madoka?" they asked. "My hair is a disaster!" she screamed. "Have you tried brushing it?" asked Kyubey. Madoka nodded. "I'm about to take a shower, I would like some privacy," said Madoka. Kyubey left the bathroom and waited in the hall for Madoka.
7 minutes later, Madoka's hair was still knotted up, even when she used the hairbrush hanging on the metal rack. When she changed into her school outfit, she looked in the mirror. "I can't go to school like this…" she said on the verge of tears. Madoka walked out of the bathroom with her head hanging low.
"Oh, your hair's still the same," said a guilty Kyubey, "I have a beanie that can cover that up!" The duo went back to Madoka's room to get the beanie, which was red on the bottom and white on the top. They went downstairs and had breakfast. Her family was suspicious of Madoka wearing her beanie and her screaming in the bathroom, so Madoka said, "I uh, saw a big spider in the bathroom, but I managed to kill it. And the beanie, I thought I'd wear cause why not!" Her family believed her lie and told her to go to school.
At school, everyone saw and complimented Madoka's beanie, even Sayaka, Kyoko Sakura, Homura Akemi, and Mami Tomoe, who are all magical girls like Madoka. Everything was going fine until lunch. While at the table, a bully thought it would be a good idea to remove Madoka's beanie. They went up to her when Madoka quickly turned her head around.
"What do you think you're doing?" she asked. "Oh nothing," said the bully, "EXCEPT THIS!" The bully yanked Madoka's beanie off her head, exposing her knotted and frizzed up hair. Everyone in the cafeteria went silent and stared at Madoka's hair in shock. The girl stood up and tried to get her beanie back, but the bullies tossed it to each other while everyone laughed, causing Madoka to run out of the cafeteria in tears, and Kyubey followed her. Sayaka, Kyoko, Homura, and Mami sat in shock before the black haired girl stood up.
"HEY!" she yelled, "you better leave Madoka alone! Or else!" "Or else what?" one of them asked.
At home, Junko, Madoka's mother, was watching TV while her father, Tomohisa, was washing the dishes. They heard the door open and close. Tomohisa turned and saw Madoka disappear up the stairs and slam the room door. "Madoka?"
In her room, Madoka sat on her bed with her blanket as a hood with the flower window cover closed. Kyubey tried to get the girl's attention, but she didn't say anything to them. She heard the door open. She looked to see Tomohisa. "Madoka, is everything alright?" he asked. "Yes," she said. "Madoka, I know that voice. Come out and tell me what's wrong," said Tomohisa, who came in and sat next to his daughter. "No," said Madoka. "Madoka," said Tomohisa in a serious voice. The girl took the blanket off her head. "OH GOD!" shouted Tomohisa, "what happened to your hair?!"
"I lied earlier this morning. I was really having a bad hair day, and that's why I screamed in the bathroom and wore that beanie. I didn't want you, Mom, or Tatsuya to laugh at me. I'm sorry," said Madoka. "It's okay, Madoka, we would never laugh at you, you could've told us and we could've helped you," said Tomohisa, wrapping his arm around his daughter, "I'll call the hairdresser." Tomohisa got up and went to call the hairdresser. Madoka felt better after that pep-talk.
15 minutes later, the Kanames went over to the hairdresser to fix Madoka's hair. Madoka's friends were there as well to see her. "We heard about what happened earlier," said Mami, "we're sorry for those jerks." "It's okay, girls, it wasn't any of your faults," said Madoka. Then Madoka was called up. She went to have her hair fixed.
First, the hairdresser soaked her hair, next, he put detangling soaps on it and washed them out, then, he brushed it out. Finally, Madoka's hair was fixed and her friends, family, and Kyubey were happy.
The next day at school, Madoka went up to the bullies and slapped them and took her beanie back.
The End
