Omake: A SCIENTIFIC blunder…
[Fallout x Cyberpunk/Ghost]

Notes: You know I was thinking who is both smart and dumb enough to create the gaming system chip and then lose it…there were many options but this one, this one I think is more funny than the others.

Six woke up to arguing, again. This was the third time in a week that despite the sound proof walls in the SINK he could still hear the screeching profanities of his…friends? Employes? Prisoners? Some combination of the three. Whatever it was this time he somehow doubted that they would be the ones to fix the problem and the task most definitely would fall to him.

With a groan he rubbed his eyes, blinking crust from them, not having gotten the full eight hours of sleep he was groggy, a very unusual feeling after years of perfect sleep. If there was one thing he was grateful for it was a chip implanted in his brain, an upgrade given to him ten years ago when he stumbled upon Big MT by accident on his travels.

The system connected to his brain along with all the implants he also received sped up the neural pathways in the brain, cutting down the time to master skills from years to months. They had been working on an upgrade for Six after he talked to them about the tech outside becoming more and more advanced.

Six understood why the doctors secluded themselves here, humanity sucked after the fourth corpo war that was undisputed. The amount of ice and security to mask the tech in Big Mountain made Arasak's shit look like a child playing with a light socket. But it lacked massively in the military department his friends vastly underestimated the power of fuck everything in that general direction.

"I SAID I DIDN'T LOSE IT O! IT WAS MISPLACED BY OUR TELEPORTERS! SOMTHING YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO CHECK!

Six winced and got up pulling on his robe and grabbing the coffee that was already made the second he had shown signs of exiting rem. God it was the little things wasn't it? Sipping the dark liquid he passed through the doors and up the stairs to where the mostly android doctors were arguing.

"Alright what happened?"

At his appearance they all fell silent and looked at him.

Delilah was sitting at her computer looking at scans of what he assumed was Night City and ignoring Klein and O's argument. Her lab coat rested on an androgynous body made out of synthetic greyish skin with white lights for eyes and a mouth nose and ears that were only for mimicking human expression. The others were nearly identical to her as well. When he first stumbled on them he thought they were all AI's but when he saw one open their head to show him a brain clear fluid he threw and accepted it for what it was. Eight was nowhere to be seen.

"O HERE FORGOT TO CALIBRATE THE TELEPORTER SO WHEN WE WERE DONE WITH THE NANITE CHIP IT GOT LOST IN THE DAM CITY!" The screaming Klein was doing was quite impressive Six had to admit.

"This wouldn't have happened if you didn't rush me!" O Responded with an indignant huff.

"Don't turn this back on me, an imbecile could work that console hell Six could do it and I think he's still missing a part of his frontal lobe from that bullet!" Ok Six had it up to here with this shit.

"Don't bring me into this shit, do you have a tracker for it? I can hop down and retrieve it easily." Six spoke, trying to bring order to the conversation before they could go in circles blaming each other.

"Yes, well about that.." Klein rubbed his head and turned to Delilah

"There's too much interference where the chip landed, at most we can tell it's in night city otherwise nothing." Delilah spoke with a whisper.

"Great, so I have to search all night in the city for a chip that can both interface with cyberware and turn an ordinary person into a super soldier in a matter of months…I might need Annabelle for this." Six felt like this was going to be a very long day.

"It was our greatest creation. Took three years to finish. Instead of just increasing regular learning we had installed your combat ID in chunks into those nanites Six. If someone has gotten their hands on it and you don't find them soon…you'll be fighting yourself. It disappears into the bloodstream, for the nanites to reform into a chip you need to kill the user." O explained popping his head out from his arms to explain how fucked Six was.

"Scratch that I think I might need a nuke."
