"Big sis!" Hanabi greeted Hinata as she bolted to the clan gates. Hinata smiled at her sister.

"Hello, Hanabi. How are you?"

"Better now that you're back!" Hanabi exclaimed "And your home for good right?"

Hinata's smile fell as she looked at her sister.

"for now Hanabi. Anyway, have you eaten? You must be hungry. How about I make you some dango?"

Changing the subject to food caught her younger sister's attention and Hinata allowed herself to be pulled into the estate. For now, she could pretend, that war was not looming on the horizon.

Tsunade sat in her makeshift office. The documents and folders piled up all around her. She sighed at the weariness of the day.

So much to do and so little time.

Speaking of time, her heart hurt at the sudden loss of her former mentor. The old hag had been brash and treated tsunade like garbage yet she taught her everything she knew. And even in her brashness, Tsunade knew the old hag cared. It was the small things she did when she didn't think anyone was watching.

And when Tsuande was at her lowest, Koharu would be the one to help cheer her up and remind her to keep her head in the game.

Her heavy thoughts were interrupted by the presence of an anbu.

"My lady."

"what is it eagle?" she asked.

" Elder Homura is asking for your presence."

"very well, allow him in."

Three minutes later, Homura looking haggard, appeared.

"what can I do for you elder Homura."

"You and I have much to discuss lady Tsuande but not here. We need to meet in the catacombs. I have also asked for the head of each clan and their successor to meet us there as well. Alongside a few jounin."

"The catacombs? Homura, I'm going to need more information, " Tsunade ordered as she sat up.

" I am sorry my lady. I just need you to trust me. Bring your assistant and Anbu if you must."

When she arrived all the clan heads and their successors were already there, on top of that Kakashi, Anko, Neji, and Ibiki were there.

"Lady Tsuande? Is there a reason we were all called here in the middle of the night?" Hiashi Hyuga asked. His youngest daughter standing next to him. Tsunade internally cringed at the thought that Hinata should be here instead.

Tsunade sighed and rubbed her eyes.

"I barely know myself. However, elder Homura has something he needed to tell us."

"in the middle of the night?" Shibi Aburame questioned.

Before she could speak, Homura appeared, a torch in hand.

"come, much of our history is told on these walls."

As the group followed him through the dark catacombs Homura began to speak.

"The Uchiha massacre is NOT what we were told. Lies have been told and twisted to fit the needs of people who wanted power and became greedy. I will tell you the horrid truth."

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, Sasuke was smiling at a terror-stricken Danzo. The latter held Karin hostage.

Sasuke couldn't help but chuckle.

"Don't move Karin."

And then to Karin's horror, Sasuke sent a blast right through her and Danzo.

"Since you managed to get captured Karin, you are nothing but a burden to me."

As Karin's body hit the floor, Sasuke stepped over her and slowly followed behind the now-running Danzo.

"your time ends now." Sasuke hissed with glowing red eyes.

"Nooo!" Hinata gasped as she sat up in bed.

She took deep breaths to calm her pounding heart. Her hands immediately went to her now protruding belly.

She would have to now start wearing bigger clothes if she was going to hide her belly.

As if they were agreeing with her, Hinata felt fluttering around in her stomach.

"oooh, oooh, my. My precious babies." She whispered as her children kicked around her womb.

A tap on her window broke Hinata from the heartwarming moment she was having.

With caution she approached her window, ready to attack if it was an intruder.

Instead, she found herself looking into the eyes of a toad.

"Well, hello there! My name is gamatatsu! Sorry for the late visit! But I am here therefore your bodyguard under the directions of Uzumaki Naruto!"

Hinata's eyes widened.

"Naruto?" she questioned.

"yes, mam! I am not to leave your side until after the war!"

"Really?" she questioned still stunned that Naruto would do this.

"yes, mam! Naruto cares for you greatly and wanted his cherished friend to in his words, not be alone during this time."

Hinata couldn't help but blink away tears as she motioned for gamatatsu to come into her room.

Homura raised a hand for silence as everyone in the room began to shout in disbelief.

It was Tsuande however, who shut them up. Once they were silent she spoke.

"Homura … are you saying that Danzo manipulated Itachi into killing his entire clan? "

"the short answer is yes but it's not that simple. You see there was already unrest in the Uchiha clan, that being because of the village itself. We at the time had not treated the Uchiha very kindly and to make it worse we were planning on restricting the Uchiha to a certain corner of the village. So many things were happening at once like a domino effect. But one thing is clear, Itachi Uchiha is not the monster you all believe him to be, and if you don't believe me ask him yourself."

It was then a door emerged and leaning on a wall with two ex-Akatsuki members next to him was Itachi Uchiha.

With his arms crossed, he lifted his head and said "I understand you all have questions and I will give you your answers. However, we have a bigger enemy. An enemy who will be approaching our front lines very soon. I have a strategy if you will hear me out."
