Plot : merry belated Christmas! this is a spoof of the infamous 'Twas The Night Before Christmas poem. It's set riiiight before Black Panther: Wakanda Forever opened. i started writing it when the sequel opened and finished it around thanksgiving. I own nothing. XXX separate the stanzas. Enjoy and happy thanksgiving!

'Twas Mere weeks before thanksgiving and all through the nation

Theaters were brimming with anticipation.

XXX

Through the fall their lobbies had been empty and nearly bare

But they hoped with the arrival of a certain marvel sequel giant crowds would soon be there,

XXX

Venue owners nestled snug in their beds

While vision of packed lobbies danced in their head

But their thoughts were also filled with dread- rightfully so

They though "would fans still come albeit boseman's death two years ago?" *

XXX

The next day theater employee sarrived to big internet news chatter

They rushed to the break rooms and checked social media to see what was the matter

XXX

Black panther 's night debut had sparked a huge flash.

Crowds rushed to venues like runners racing in a hundred yards dash

word was that it was phenomenal you had to go

it was an incredible tribute to boseman ( and ver emotional too don't you know)

XXX

What to their amazed eyes appeared ( and made them go wide as a large rocks)

but loooong lines of moviegoers lined up 'round the blocks

the crowds were so excited , lively and thick

Theater owner knew in a moment it they had to act quick

XXX

More quick than eagles, theater-managers came,

They announced, shouted and cried jobs by name:

" Start up the projectors l make the rooms clean!

Now, Clean the stairs

On soda machines! clean the chairs

Fix up the candy Give a last go of the floors !

Light on! To the front .. make sure to stand tall

unlock the doors..

Now come in ! Come in

come in all!"

XXX

Like leaves in a storm

theater employees rushed about their jobs quicker than the norm

up to their positions they flew,

with pockets full of flashlight masks and showtimes too ,

And then, within minutes, They heard crowds pouring through the open doors

the chattering crowds kept piling in - more AND more

XXX

As the crowds piled in employees blinked their eyes and turning around,

To the concessions and box office the crowd came with a bound.

They were dressed in all sorts - some dressed in costumes from head to foot,

while tons of little kids weaved through crowds getting under foot

XXX

Backpacks purses and handbags flung on their backs,

moviegoers looked like peddlers with tenormous packs.

XXX

Their eyes-how they sparkled! The excitement and chatter , how merry!

It was catchy like the build to the first visit from the tooth fairy

Employee mouths' were drawn up in huge smiles

( for the venue hadn't Been THIS full in quite a while )

XXX

bits of dinner were stuck in customer's teeth,

While hidden snacks and drinks weighed down their backpacks and like heavy weights were beneath .

some customers had broad faces and a round belly,

that shook when they laughed, like a mold full of jelly.

XXX

some customers were thin, some short, some young some chubby like elves

and the employees grinned , in spite of themselves .

A wink of the customers eye and a twist of their heads

relaxed theater owners- they had nothing to dread

XXX

Concession workers went right to work,

and filled all the popcorn buckets and soda quickly as they could ( without being a jerk)

XXX

when the orders were filled and hot popcorn smells filled everyone's nose

Customers paid and giving a nod, up to the theaters they rose.

They sprang to the theater room , to their groups they've gave a whistle,

And away they all went like the launch of a missile

XXX

But the employees heard crowds say , ' as they vanished out of sight,

" Wakanda Forever to all, and to all a good moviegoing night!"
