To make matters worse, Zack and Aerith have to find a way to cheat death before their original death dates, or back to the lifestream they go. Being rewritten!

OS. Genesis want to kill an unknown trooper, Zack is in love with a handsome unknown trooper, Angeal deal with infantrymen for the first time and Sephiroth has to take care of the SOLDIER exam this year. The connection? One little Cloud Strife. (I tried humour, so I can hope it's at least cute)

They'd successfully learned how to lose themselves in each other. It was a crutch, a form of denial. It was how they forgot the world outside, all the damage they'd caused, and all the lives that had been lost. It was another way for them to fight the mounting odds against them. Kissing Tifa had the same effect as drinking Corel Alcohol...but Cloud found that he liked this better.

AU. Aerith is a princess in nothing but name. Her parents murdered and her birthright stolen, she lives her life on the run. Cloud is the mercenary tasked with hunting her down by the usurper Rufus who believes the Cetra hold the key to untold power. Cloud has never failed a job but falling in love with the feisty princess might complicate things.
