From an outsider's perspective, you had probably died in one of the coolest ways that somebody could die: fighting off a pack of wolves trying to save someone. But from your point of view, it was one of the most stupidest. Sinners often take a form that relates to how they died. This is not helpful when hellhounds exist at the bottom of hell's hierarchy...

The trial acted like a switch for Blitz's behavior, in the best way when it came to how he treated Stolas, even if the owl wasn't well enough to appreciate it. Then, Sinsmas came, and another switch was flipped, and this time Stolas wasn't fully sure he liked this change.
