2014
2 and a half weeks before the call
After the board meeting at the office, Holly soon came back to Stonehaven with everything on the list she had been given by her father. As she was going home, all Holly wanted to do was go into her room and take a nap and try to get rid of all of her worries. As Holly walked through the door of Stonehaven just as Clay was walking down the stairs to go into town for his favorite snacks. Clay smiled when he saw his sister coming through the door as he had missed her since she had gone to New York for the meeting.
"Oh, good! You're back." Clay said happily
Ever since biting Elena, things hadn't been the same between the once close Danvers siblings, but it was slowly getting back to normal. Holly smiled weakly at her brother and hugged him as right at that moment she needed physical contact that only the people who knew her could give her.
"I've missed you big brother." Holly said
Holly only said big brother as she was mentally drained from all the idiots she had to deal with during the meeting.
"That bad huh?" Clay asked as he maneuvered them to a couch.
"The people on the board seem to get dumber and dumber with every meeting." Holly said as she and Clay sat down.
"Want me to do something about it?" Clay asked with a maniacal smile.
"No it's fine. Draco already yelled at them for being idiots and he said that if they continue, he will replace them." Holly said
"Do you think that will work?" Clay asked
"No, I don't. But they will be way to scared to say anything without running it by Draco first." Holly said
"So how is the club going?" Clay asked trying to change the subject.
"It's going great. Nick is getting a contract with a liquor distributor that he likes." Holly said
"What about bouncers?" Clay asked
"The hiring of people will be closer to the opening. Though Nick had already has his manager as he can't be in 2 places at once." Holly said
"Do you need anything?" Clay asked
"For some reason, I'm in a mood for a bacon cheese burger with all the fixings and crinkle cut fries." Holly said
As one of the very few female wolves in the world, Holly could eat as much, if not more, then her male counterparts and still look hot.
"I can defiantly make you that." Clay said
"This is why I love you." Holly said
Clay chuckled as he stood to his feet, pulling his sister up with him, before starting for the kitchen so he could make the burger and fries. As Clay was making the burger and fries for him and his sister, Holly was busy grabbing a couple of Cola's for her and Clay. Holly could have done some type of alcohol, but when she looked, they were out of everything that had been bought by either Holly or Clay. When Clay was done with the burgers, he handed one to Holly who took it gratefully as this was what she needed right at that moment.
"Thank you." Holly said in a grateful but tired tone
The look of relief when Holly got the burger was evident in her eyes and when Clay saw that look, he knew that he made the right choice in making the burger.
"You're welcome." Clay said before he sat down with his own burger and fries.
As the Danvers siblings ate their food, they talked to each other and their relationship was getting better.
"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be teaching at the University of Upstate New York?" Holly asked
Holly had noticed that since Clay started teaching, he would come to Stonehaven if he didn't have classed 2 or more days in a row and the school was fairly close.
"I know what happens to you whenever you have to go to board meetings so I wanted to make sure that you were alright before I had to head back." Clay said
"Oh, you do love me." Holly said sarcastically
"You're my baby sister. Of course I love you. I have since the day I had met you." Clay said
"On the day that we met, you acted like I was a bothersome parasite." Holly said
"But isn't that how all older siblings see their younger siblings?" Clay asked
"What about the fact that it took a month for you to be in the same room as me outside of meal times?" Holly asked
"I was adjusting to my new environment. Especially after the wolf that bit me was also a bit of a pedo." Clay said
As Clay said the pedo part, he was trying not to get flashbacks to when that man had him locked away in that fowl smelling trailer. Clay had been in that trailer a month before and a month after being bitten by that man and getting multiple levels of trauma that took a while to get through. Luckily there was a werewolf therapist that was apart of the pack that could help Clay sort through the trauma he had experienced.
"I didn't know about the pedo part." Holly said as she began to pick at the last eighth of her burger.
All Holly grew up hearing about how her brother was turned by a mutt going crazy and biting him for the fun and thrill of it.
"I'm not surprised. Dad wanted to keep that part of my transformation quiet. And there was also the fact that you were 6 at the time of me coming here, so no one wanted you to know." Clay said
Holly could understand that as she was also asked to keep why Clay had bitten Elena away from the now 25 year old woman.
"Who knows the full story?" Holly asked
"Dominic, Antonio, dad, the therapist I go to and Logan." Clay said
"Logan?" Holly asked
"He figured it out when I flinched away from Dominic when he started yelling at both Antonio and dad after that first meeting." Clay said
Logan had transformed and then joined the pack while Holly had been at Hogwarts so it took months for the 2 to have their first meeting.
"Is that man the reason why you basically latched onto me and protected me after getting comfortable here?" Holly asked
"Yes. I wanted to protect you from all the bad men out in the world as I didn't want you to end up like me." Clay said
"Or Elena." Holly said quietly
Both Clay and Holly had been told by Elena that when she was a child in foster care, a neighbor of one of the families she was with was also a pedo. He had bunnies what he used as a bait to get more victims.
"Yes. Or Elena." Clay said quietly
1 week before the call
The day Holly after got back from New York, Elena called her to have a little chat as her getting one step closer to getting back into the regular pack jobs and meetings. And for the past 2 weeks, Holly and Elena have been having regular phone calls and even meeting one or 2 times face to face in Toronto at a place of Elena's choosing. As time went on, Holly has been another person who is getting Elena back into the pack life like she is suppose to be.
But this past week has out everyone at Stonehaven has been on edge as they knew something was about to happen and badly. They all knew that what was about to happen would be in the town or it would involve someone from town and the Stonehaven property. Jeremy thought that latter option as most of the pack's enemies would plan something malicious like that just to get them out of power or to move.
"Holly?" Jeremy asked as he walked into the art studio
Holly needed a bit of painting time to calm down because cackles being up over the tension in the house and that was why she was in the studio.
"Yes dad?" Holly asked
"Where is your brother?" Jeremy asked
"He went out for a run. Or that was what he had told me." Holly said
"Argh! Why can't he ever do what he is told told!" Jeremy growled
Holly could see her fathers wolf trying to surface with his anger and it scared her a lot.
"What's wrong?" Holly asked
"I told Clay to stay put and he didn't listen." Jeremy said
"He is over 18, so if you didn't use the alpha voice, he tends to wonder off." Holly said
Jeremy sighed heavily as he knew what his daughter had said was right and he should have known better.
"I kind of hate that you are right." Jeremy said
"I'm always right." Holly said turning back to her painting.
Since graduating from Hogwarts, aside from the Black Industries Board, Holly had been the only one working the booth the Danvers had in the farmers market. Though every once in a while, Holly will get some help setting up and running the booth from Nick, Clay, Antonio, Pete or her father. And on farmers market days, even if she did have help, Holly would be seen knitting a blanket or a hat for her English friends. This reminded Arthur Weasley of when his wife Molly first started knitting as she did more than sweaters when she was younger.
Holly even made a Etsy store front to sell the paintings and even a YouTube channel where she talks about the paintings. On the YouTube channel, she even has a playlist where she teaches people how to do certain paintings or certain techniques of painting. The YouTube channel is very popular with artsy people where the channel has a couple hundred thousand subscribers and and 200 times more views. And due to this, the channel was apart of the creator fund which got the pack more money that they desperately needed.
24 hours before the call
After changing the song, a beautiful woman looked behind her, smiled at the man who caught her eye and undid her hair before she walked over to where the man was.
"Where are you from?" The woman asked
"Is this town that small?" The man asked
"Small enough for you to make your mark." The woman said
"Good. Tell me what you know about the Danvers family." The man asked
"Creeps in the country? They're hot, but weird. What do you know?" The woman said
"Just what I've been told. They think they can set the rules." The man said
"What rules?" The woman asked
"It doesn't matter. I'm here to break them." The man said
"Would you like to come back to my place?" The woman asked flirtatiously
"No." The man said
"Why not?" The woman asked pouting
"Because you're a slսt." The man said
In a huff, the woman stormed off.
"Be careful out there." The man said before the woman got to far away from him.
The woman got half way home, she had taken the shortcut through the woods, when she started hearing things that she shouldn't have. Sadly she didn't take the strange noises as a warning as she now became wolf chow and placed near the Danvers property line.
18 hours before the call
Elena was panting as she road on top of her boyfriend Phill McAdams as they had sex.
"Mmm." Phill moaned with a small chuckle
Then it happened, Elena felt her heart beat in the wolf way and her panting intensifies before she gets off of Phill.
"What happened?" Phill asked
"I have to go." Elena said as she began getting dressed.
"Now...? We're kind of in the middle of something." Phill said
"I totally forgot. We got carried away." Elena said
"Five minutes." Phill begged
"No, I-I... really, I have to get my camera. I have models waiting for me at the studio. I'm sorry. Could you, please?" Elena said as she heartbeat go faster
"Is this what they mean by 'suffering for art'? My suffering, your art?" Phill asked as he buttered up Elena's dress.
"I-I'll get out as soon as I can and I'll come right back here and I'll make it up to you, okay?" Elena said before kissing Phill and basically running out the door.
Elena soon got to the elevator and as soon as she pushed the button, it chimed and Elena got onto the elevator where she saw that someone was already there.
"Shit." Elena thought
Her heartbeats faster than before when she got into the elevator as she knew wolves hated enclosed spaces this small. Elena became more and more distorted the longer she was in the elevator and her breathing more and more labored. Because the elevator was going to slow for her liking Elena felt her bones cracking as her hand tried to become a paw. To Elena's relief the elevator soon chimed on the ground floor and she bolted for the door so she could change without anyone noticing.
Groaning in pain, Elena had managed to get to a secluded alleyway before screaming as her bones were cracking and reforming. Elena began panting in the final stages of her transformation before she began to snarl and roar as she finally got into her wolf form.
12 hours before the call
Elena soon came back into Phill's apartment and she heard the shower going so she knew that he was in the bathroom. Elena waited till the shower stopped to do into the bathroom so she could have an 'Im sorry' chat, and in the mean time, Elena ate a chocolate pastry. Soon Elena's wish came true as she heard the water from the shower stop and she moved to go see Phill to have that talk.
"Oh, jeez, you are gonna kill me one of these days." Phill said as his girlfriend came up behind him.
Unlike the only other boyfriend Elena had, especially after being bitten, Phill could not smell her coming up behind.
"Hi." Elena said
"Hi." Phill replied
"So, where were we, huh?" Elena asked
"Mm... How was your shoot?" Phill asked
"Mm... tiring. I had to pull an all-nighter." Elena said
"Did you get what you needed?" Phill asked
"Pretty sure, yeah." Elena said
"Yeah?" Phill asked
"Yeah. For now. And while I was out, all I could think about was you. Your lips on mine and your hands on my hips. And this…" Elena said moving her hands on Phill's body.
This lead Phill to pick up Elena so they could have another round of fun in the bed like they tried to have the night before. And luckily, they didn't get interrupted by anything till it was time for the 2 to have to do the responsibilities.
