"How's this?" Shadow Rise teased Rise as she started to provocatively dance around the pole causing Rise's eyes to widen as she covered her head.
"Please… stop it. Stop…" Rise trembled.
"Oh how precious, she wants me to stop." Shadow Rise mocked before her expression turned dark. "As if that's evne close to what you really want you little skank. You're me, and that obviously means I'm you."
Hearing that the members of the Investigation Team tensed as they knew what Rise's Shadow was trying to do.
"That… no, it's not true." Rise weakly argued.
"Come on everyone, look at me, you can't tear your eyes away." Shadow Rise smiled looking at the Investigation Team as she continued to dance on the pole. "This is the real me, not some airheaded celebrity who does what she's told, not Risette. Me, the girl right here in front of your eyes! There's no such thing as Risette, there's only me, look at me!"
"No… that's not true I…" Rise started trembling as Shadow Rise smirked.
"Well, I'm going to do it, I'll take it all off and reveal everything to you!" Shadow Rise smiled. "Let my naked truth be burned into your brains!"
Rise's eyes widened as she got to her feet. "No, that's not true… you're… You're not me!"
The members of the Investigation Team all tensed hearing those words as Shadow Rise started to laugh cruelly hearing those words as red smoke surrounded her, and Rise passed out while Shadow Rise became a humanoid figure with rainbow colored skin and a satellite dish for a face dangling upside down on the same pole.
"Saw this coming, alright here we go." Kanji mentioned as the members of the Investigation Team got ready to fight. "Take Mizazuchi, Zionga!"
His original Persona appeared and struck Shadow Rise with a bolt of electricity making her cry out in pain before Yosuke and Yukiko summoned Pyro Jack and Konohana Sakuya again as the two flames enveloped her making her fall from the pole.
"Good, this isn't so tough let's take her down." Chie grinned eagerly.
Yu however frowned seeing that, it was almost too easy the way they were able to take down Shadow Rise but as they ran in to attack her, she eventually managed to grip the pole and swing around to force them back.
"Hey, what do you think you're doing? Storming up on stage like that, are you so desperate to get a close look?" Shadow Rise questioned as she started to swing around the pole again as small flames hit the members of the Investigation Team.
Seeing the flames coming Yosuke was completely unaffected as Yukiko endured the flames with ease while Chie, Kanji, and Yu avoided them before Kanji smirked. "Chie-senpai, are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
Chie glanced at him before she smiled. "Sounds good, you with us Yosuke?"
He only grinned as Chie summoned Tomoe, Yosuke brought out Jack Frost, and Kanji summoned King Frost all at the same time as they engulfed Shadow Rise in a massive block of ice as she cried out in pain but didn't fall from the pole.
"Darn, oh well just a bit more and we should be able to take her down right Teddie?" Yosuke asked with a grin.
"I think so, but she doesn't look like she's giving up yet." Teddie admitted before he groaned. "Oh… my poor nose, I feel terrible."
"Don't worry Ted, we'll get you something for your nose once we get Rise out safely." Kanji smiled only for Shadow Rise to glow as some kind of green aura appeared around the members of the Investigation Team.
Seeing that Chie blinked before summoning one of her Persona Cards as a red skinned warrior in armor appeared before trying to slash Shadow Rise only for her to avoid almost as if she saw the attack coming.
"Huh, how did she do that?" Chie questioned in disbelief.
"Maybe she can dodge physical attacks, but what about something else?" Yosuke mentioned. "Jiraiya, Garula!"
Shattering his Persona Card Yosuke's original Persona appeared and enveloped Shadow Rise and the pole with a vortex of wind only for her to just spin around faster as the wind didn't seem to affect her at all as she just giggled before kicking Kanji. Kanji frowned summoning King Frost only for her to avoid the ice from his attack as she started swaying on the pole lazily.
"What's going on, why aren't any of our attacks working anymore?" Yukiko asked in confusion seeing that. "Was it something she did to us?"
Yu's eyes widened in shock. "That green aura!"
"Aw, you figured it out?" Shadow Rise taunted as she swung on the pole. "You can look all you want at me, but touching is absolutely not allowed."
"No touching, what the hell are you talking about?" Kanji questioned as he ran in to try and hit Shadow Rise only for her to avoid his punch and launch a powerful gust of wind to send him flying back.
"You've got to be kidding me; we can't hit her anymore?" Chie questioned seeing that. "But then how are we supposed to rescue Rise?"
Yu frowned, this wasn't something that he expected but it was as if Shadow Rise knew their moves and abilities even before they used them.
"Great, does anyone have any ideas for what we're supposed to do now?" Youske questioned only for his eyes to widen as Shadow Rise began swaying on the pole even more as energy started to gather around her. "Oh man, that doesn't look good."
With a flash of light, the members of the Investigation Team all cried out as something powerful struck them as Shadow Rise laughed.
(The Investigation Team have started their battle with Shadow Rise and while it started off well enough, she somehow became completely immune to all their attacks. Next chapter the battle will continue and something completely unexpected will happen. As always any reviews or critique is appreciated.)
