Nisha was having the time of her life. Each one of her underlings got their own firearms, blasting all the demons around with no mercy. They weren't skillful, but they could cast their own healing aura, while also healing other allies around them. "This is amazing. Laby likes this," Nisha smiled as she looked at everyone massacring the demons.
"You really have your own army," Aisha said in amazement. She snapped her finger and distorted the space in front of her, cracking it like a glass. "I've always wondered how Add does his thing. It's kinda satisfying in an odd way."
"So you can ask the others for help on another timeline?" Nisha asked in curiosity.
Aisha forced herself to laugh and smacked the demon into the sky with her staff. A trail of blood was falling as it went further away. "Were you always this strong, Laby? That's definitely not my own strength."
Nisha giggled as her mirror floated in a circle. "Yes, Laby is very strong."
Raven came from the distance to check on them, since they didn't move around too much. "Everything alright?"
"Mhm, all good," Nisha nodded her head, looking at the Nasod wings behind him. "You seem to be having fun."
"Well… Yes. A bit nostalgic," Raven smiled, remembering his time when he was inside Eve's body. It worked more or less the same.
Just like Nisha, Raven also had his own underlings. It was getting a bit crowded.
"It is I, Luciela R. Sourcream, the demon lord of Elrios! Bow down to me, mortal! Ahahahaha!"
Lu was also having the time of her life. While Lu and Ciel were separate individuals, they were still able to power up each other. Meaning that Ciel could be a powerhouse for Lu.
So far, Ciel hadn't done anything much. He was charging energy from both magic and nature. As a result, Lu could cast every single high powered demonic spell. She didn't even need the other's ability to enhance her own power, but she did. Ain's ability mutated in her hand, becoming something that Herrscher would do. And since she lived in that timeline for a week, she could more or less do what he did.
Ara's ability also mutated. The usual orbs they were seeing became dark orbs, engulfed in dark energy. This one sided fight was so disturbing to see for both sides.
"You're going to scare the townspeople at this point," Ciel said with a concerned look.
"Worry not. I have a plan," Lu smirked, staring at her fellow demons running away.
Our last team didn't have any flashy show like the others did, but they managed just fine. "I think we make a really good team, Lithia! What do you say?" Elesis grinned, slashing everything in front of her in one swing.
At least it looked like one swing when it's actually multiple. Dark teal colored glass appeared from inside the demon's body, killing them with a huge spike.
"I'm not sure about that. I'm lucky Ain's creation magic is literally free," Lithia shrugged it off, launching a huge cyan sword. Unlike Ain's usual ability, it looked more like something came straight out of Henir realm in Lithia's hand. "Besides, I have Noah's power with me. It's really something."
"How so? I think you're really good. I like your thing," Elesis grinned. "Look, we can talk and fight like it's a hanging out activity. We're so chill!"
"That's interesting. Mind telling me something?"
Elesis got interested when Lithia showed curiosity, so she was willing to listen to anything. "I heard Ain from a different timeline read the exact same book as the one Chung was reading. You were there for a few days. What do you know?"
"Hm… Honestly, I don't know anything. It's stored inside the boy's dorm," Elesis tried to recall everything, since it's important to keep Lithia's interest. "It's probably just the same title. The content might be different. Are you interested in reading?"
"No, I'm just a bit curious, since Chung read it that much," Lithia replied. She really wanted to meet her counterparts now. Purely out of curiosity.
Ain could easily detect where the closest demon army was. As soon as he saw them, he threw his spear without hesitation, obliterating everything in front of him.
"I didn't prepare myself for this…" Chung muttered, materializing a sniper rifle instead of his usual guns.
"H-Huh?! Since when did you have that?!" Ara asked in surprise. She knew what it was, but this was her first time seeing it.
"Rose has it, not mine," Chung answered as he placed it on the ground and aimed at the demons.
A loud gunshot was heard. The bullet went through several demons, ricocheted to other demons, and ended up cracking the space. The familiar magenta space was revealed through it. "W-Wait! Ain!" Ara rushed toward her future husband as she spread her demonic wings. She wanted to know how it would feel to have both Lu and Ciel's ability anyway.
Chung was inside Add's body once and he never managed to control it. Unfortunately, he didn't know how to undo the space crack either. Surely it would disappear by itself.
It was a really messy fight, but they managed to stop the invasion for another day. All of them got really tired, bought dinner on the way home, and just chilled. The citizens were afraid, but Lu came to them like how a lord should be, reassuring everyone that everything was safe. It must've been some nostalgic moment for her there, since she enjoyed it a lot.
Lithia spotted another person reading her book in the living room. "Do you like reading too, Rose?"
"Not really, but this guy got some good stuff," Rose said as she showed the book cover toward Lithia. "The story is messed up in a lot of ways, though."
"Lithia?" Noah looked at her like a lost child. "Could you tell me more…?"
"I think I've told you enough," Lithia said as she raised her one eyebrow. "I'm going to take my leave. Thanks for everything."
"Oh, um… I don't recommend that, if you're planning to wander around that Henir realm of yours," Rose said as she looked away from her book. "Add just sent a bunch of demons there because it's faster to eliminate them that way. You might want to wait a few weeks… or months."
Lithia blinked her eyes several times upon hearing that. She was lost in Henir realm once. While it felt like she spent years in there, it was only a few days when she got out.
In short, the demons won't die anytime soon unless she killed them all or waited for years.
Lithia sighed heavily. "Your boyfriend is quite annoying."
"That he is," Rose stuck out her tongue. "You'll stay with us for a while then?"
"Why do I feel like I've been held hostage ever since I got here?" Lithia muttered while she sat next to Noah. "Alright. What do you want to know?"
"What do you see in Dantelion's memories?" Noah asked the first mystery that lingered in his mind.
"The real person… What's his name again… Harque? Harque killed Dantelion," Lithia said the first fact Noah had to remember. "I heard an echo about his failed mission, but he didn't elaborate his motive. He regretted that he let his guard down."
Noah sulked, looking at his bag of chips to hide his face. "He said nothing else…?"
Lithia stared at Noah. Somehow she didn't understand what Noah wanted. Information? Truth? Revenge? What was it? "You know what? I'll say the exact words he's saying. Maybe you'd understand something."
"I failed. He found out I was going to impose him. That brother is just a child. He's insane! I could've stopped him if I do things differently!"
Noah thought about it deeply. Somehow it sounded differently in his ears. Maybe because he was desperate for affection? "Was he trying to protect me?" Noah muttered with a sad look. "If Dantelion successfully impersonated my brother and I didn't know it, would he love me?"
Lithia stayed silent, since she wasn't sure what to say to that. Might as well change the topic. "As for Titania, she was cursing you multiple times. She tried to poison that village. Even though she felt like she succeeded many times, the end result was she failed to do so."
Noah turned silent. He wasn't satisfied with the answer, even though Lithia hadn't been lying. He knew something was off, but he wasn't sure how to connect everything. Lithia asked him what he actually wanted and why he was so interested in these stranger's stories, so he finally asked the thing he should be asking in the first place.
"Was Harque not there?"
If the Moon Master–Harque Ebalon–was gone, then Lithia could find his memories in Henir realm too. But so far, Lithia never mentioned him. "Either I mistook him for a small vision of Dantelion or he never showed up at all. What, do you think he's still alive somewhere?" Lithia asked back.
"I want him dead. He's mean," Noah pouted as he ate his chips again. "If he's still in that realm, those demons better eat him alive!"
"That's a great spirit, I think?" Lithia scratched her head in confusion. If Noah felt better, then it should be fine.
When midnight came, everyone went back to their room right away. Before Chung went upstairs, Lithia called him to the backyard. There were a lot of things they needed to talk about in private. Lithia started by asking the main question. "You read my book and Henir Order book. Something definitely came to your mind yesterday. What was it?"
Chung smiled and narrowed his eyes when he heard that question. "You used Noah's life experience for 'When We Cry' series. It's altered, though."
Lithia sighed heavily and massaged her forehead to lessen her headache. How come a few sentences to answer Noah's questions actually exposed her identity, even her source of her novel idea? "Yeah, right, and um… Anything else?"
Chung looked away for a bit. His smile changed into his usual poker face expression, which made Lithia wonder if something serious was noticed. "For someone who's trying to hide their identity, you're doing a bad job."
"I-Is that so?" Lithia forced herself to smile after hearing that. "I won't ask about my book anymore, then."
"I know we're ret-rded, but some people can be sharp. You'll draw their attention," Chung said with a concerned look… before he smiled again. "Unless you want to create some drama. I'm in."
"I heard about your case. You really didn't learn anything from the past, did you?" This time, Lithia was the one getting concerned. What did she just involve herself into? Then again, she can't go back to Henir realm until all the demons die.
"Hm… Maybe not really…" Chung muttered, thinking of his own past actions. "I regretted them sometimes, though."
"Well… Since I can't go back to Henir realm for now…" Lithia thought about it, staring into Chung's eyes. She had seen a lot of unhinged people in Henir realm, and–as much as she disliked it–she saw the same thing in Chung. In short, Chung could be her inspiration for her new novel. "What kind of drama?"
He told her about his ideas, and just like she expected, it's so screwed up for someone that had been living with the group for years. "Are you dating that Queen girl?" Lithia asked directly, since she's a bit curious about her own fan. Why did she expect a normal person anyway? Of course she got a weird one.
Chung smiled slightly, realizing that their private time was over. "If you think I am, then I am."
"Chung?"
Nisha stepped into the backyard, approaching Chung and holding his hand while glaring at Lithia. The hatred was visible on her face. "What are you asking him? The girls asked you to do it, no?"
Lithia sighed heavily. She thought Chung was kidding about someone being sharp. "One of them did. They seem to be interested in his love life."
"So it'll be over if I have a girlfriend?"
Nisha slapped Chung's arm when he said that. "Good night. I'll be upstairs," Nisha said as she dragged Chung with her to Noah's space.
