Currently, it was a normal day in Gotham City, and as well as normal as a city can be when it was once known as the crime capital of the United States. Until several years ago, Gotham City was considered the worst place to leave thanks to the large corruption of the police department, City Hall, and even the district attorney's office. This was all to assure the power of the Gotham crime families stayed intact, and the bosses of the Gotham Mafia stayed out of prison!
Many citizens wanted to leave Gotham at the time, but they couldn't because of the corruption that kept them in their mundane life. It appeared that Gotham was going to be destroyed by its own cesspool of corruption and crime, that was until the day he appeared!
Several years ago, a vigilante wearing a bat like costume dropped onto the scene and started taking down the corruption! He didn't care if you were a wise guy or a police officer. If you were willingly committing a crime, he would teach you a lesson one would never forget!
This Batman, as he was soon called, waged the one-man war against the Gotham Mafia and the corrupt police officers and officials that kept the Gotham Mafia in power! Soon shipments of illegal goods were destroyed, soldiers for the Gotham Mafia were beaten to a pulp, and every front to launder the money of the Gotham Mafia was taken down!
Even the corrupt police officers protecting the criminals were not safe from this vigilantees wrath, as soon he forced them to either leave the force, leave town, or both! Even corrupt Police commissioner Gilligan B. Loeb was not safe from the Batman's wrath, and he was soon forced to retire!
It was then that a lieutenant known as Jim Gordon took up the position as police commissioner, and he used his newfound power to eliminate any corrupt police officer who had any kind of power in the police department! With Batman taking exposing their dirty laundry and Gordon replacing seats of power with police officers loyal to him, the remaining dirty cops either left town or resigned voluntarily.
Next was the city hall and the district attorney's office. Within months of Batman coming onto the scene, every corrupt district attorney and lawyer connected to the Gotham Mafia was taken down one by one! Usually, with their dirty laundry being revealed to the public, giving them little to no choice but to resign and leave town.
Years went by, and thanks to the efforts of Batman and Jim Gordon, crime was at an all-time low in Gotham City. Now, the citizens of Gotham City felt like they could breathe fresh air as once the city did not stink of crime. Soon, it was safe again to walk the streets of Gotham City without worry of getting mugged, or worse!
Little did the public know that their protector was also the most famous person in Gotham City. People did not know that Batman was, in fact, billionaire philanthropist and Playboy Bruce Wayne, the majority shareholder of the largest company in Gotham City, known far and wide as Wayne Enterprises!
The reason Bruce became Batman in the first place is because when he was 8 years old, he lost his parents in a place known as crime Alley to a mugger who wanted his mother is pearl necklace and his father's money. Bruce's father, Thomas Wayne, tried to reason with the man, but that only angered the criminal who ended up shooting Thomas before he ended up shooting Bruce's mother and Thomas's wife, Martha Wayne! Bruce was the only survivor, and the event has forever left him traumatized.
That day, he vowed to become the greatest weapon against crime by training his body and mind to be the ultimate force rce for good! He spent over 10 years traveling the world learning from some of the greatest detectives, martial artists, scientists, and even assassins to become the ultimate crime fighting weapon!
From great detectives, he learned forensic science and countermeasures. From the martial artist, he learned things like boxing all the way to more intricate martial arts like Aikido, taekwondo, kung fu, judo, and even swordsmanship From the scientists, Batman learned all kinds of science, including robotics, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, etc. this kind of science background allowed him to build things like his famous batmobile, an armored vehicle filled with all kinds of weapons and gadgets. From the assassins, Batman learned more intricate and dangerous martial arts, including how to forcibly injure someone to the point of near death, but never killing them!
Batman has a strict, no-nonsense killing rule! He refuses to kill, knowing that it would eventually lead him down a dark path that will make him no better than the monster who took his parents away!
Soon years passed, and thanks to his massive wealth in the billions, his hard training both in his mind and body, and his commitment, Bruce Wayne became the ultimate crime fighting weapon in a place plague by crime... He became vengeance, he became the night, and he became Batman!
Little did Batman know that he had drawn attention not just from the criminals and police officers determined to take him down, but he also got attention from more... Powerful forces.
One of those includes Phantom Stranger, the physical embodiment of moral justice!
No one knows where Phantom Stranger came from. Some say he was cursed to forever walk the earth for a crime he committed long ago... Others say he was created by the universe to embody moral justice... Whatever the case, he is a powerful force for justice both in the physical realm and the spiritual realm.
Currently, Phantom Stranger was reviewing the recent case of superheroes appearing all over the globe. He was deep into his work when he heard someone approaching him. It confused him at first, since he was in a pocket dimension only he could access... But as soon as he saw his uninvited guest, everything made sense to him.
"Phantom, I need your help."Set a small cat-like like creature covered in pink fur.
It was no more than about a foot in height, with a long thin tail that was twice its body length. It had huge blue eyes, triangular ears, small front paws, and large back paws that were shaped like kangaroo feet. It was covered with pink fur that looked like it was so thin that a person could only see details of the fur under a microscope.
"What do you need, Mew?"inquired Phantom Stranger, wondering why you're being as powerful as Mew was approaching him.
"Well, there's this organization in the Hoenn region that is causing a lot of pandemonium! They plan to change the environment drastically with the help of a legendary Pokemon that was so dangerous that the ancient people of primal times sealed it away. Now they plan to change the world drastically because they believe what they're doing is right, but in the end, though, just end up destroying the world! I need your help!"said the new species Pokemon, who was pleading with his longtime friend.
"Why do you need my help? Can't you just pick a human from your world to act as a champion like you and Arceus usually do."said Phantom Stranger, wondering why they didn't do just that.
"We thought about it... But there's no humans with the mental strength needed to take on such a task! We need a human who is brave, has a strategic mind, and is able and willing to do anything besides killing to help save our world!"said Mew, causing Phantom Stranger to ponder on this.
A couple of seconds later, he got an idea.
"I think I know who can help you."said Phantom Stranger before motioning for Mew to approach him.
The second Pokemon to come into existence approached his old friend as he brought up an image of a man in an armored costume punching bad guys in what appeared to be a warehouse.
"Who is that?"inquired Mew, wondering who that was.
"His name is Bruce Wayne, but he is known to criminals as Batman, the Ultimate weapon against crime! He fits everything you just say, including his straight, no killing rule!"said Phantom Stranger, pointing this out to Mew.
"But he appears to be an adult. Most people who start out as pokémon trainers in the pokémon world start out as children or at least teenagers. If I take him to the Pokemon world as is, too many people will ask questions... The wrong kind of questions."said Mew, not sure if this was a good idea.
"Then reverse his age to the point of a teenager, but keep his adult mind. Come on, Mew. We both know you have the power to do that. After all, you are one of the most powerful creatures in existence."pointed out Phantom Stranger.
"Ah, I don't know... Arceus won't be happy with this."said Mew, knowing that the first pokémon to come into existence known as the alpha and Omega won't be happy with using a human from another world.
"He won't be happy, but you two don't have much of a choice. Time is of the essence, I'm assuming. So you do not have the time to be picky. Make the choice here and now, or let your world be destroyed by this group of arrogant humans who think they know everything."said Phantom Stranger, not sugar coating the current situation at all.
Mew then began to ponder on this. On one hand, this Batman character looks like he's exactly what they need, but on the other... He was a wild card they couldn't really control. Plus, they're with the fact that he was an adult and they would have to regress his age so people wouldn't ask questions.. But would he even willingly agree to any of this? That was the question plaguing Mew's mind did that moment.
"I'm assuming you want his consent. Let me tell you now he will never agree to it. Mew, you take things you want all the time... So why is this time so different?"inquired Phantom Stranger, pointing this out to his friend.
"Yeah... You're right! I don't have time to ask for his permission. We need him to get to the pokémon world and save it now! So I'll send him as soon as possible. Thank you, Phantom."said Mew before teleporting out of the pocket dimension.
Phantom Stranger then looked on, knowing what was about to happen.
"If what Dr. Fate showed me is true, Batman will need all the power he can to help the other heroes face a greater threat. With the power of Pokemon by his side, I'm sure he'll be able to do it. I just hope he can learn to forgive me one day for what's about to happen to him."said the embodiment of moral justice to himself, who didn't reveal everything he knew to Mew.
He knew something was coming, something much worse than the evil team in the Hoenn region... And if Batman and the other heroes wanted to face it, they would need all the help they couldn't get. So that meant Batman needed more power, and the power of Pokemon was probably the exact thing they needed to win!
Meanwhile, in Gotham City, Batman had just defeated every single crook in the warehouse. He quickly tied them outside before releasing an asset solution on the illegal substances in the warehouse to make them completely useless.
"You know Mr Falcone won't let you live for this! You're going to pay with your life, Batman!"said one of the criminals as he was being tied up.
"So you work for Carmine Falcone, good to know."said Batman, causing the criminal to realize he made a great mistake by revealing who he worked for.
Batman was about to ask more questions before he heard the sound of police sirens approaching the scene. Realizing he needed to get out of there, Batman quickly pulled out one of his gadgets known as a grappling gun and fired it over to a nearby building. He was quickly zipped lined towards the building just as police officers arrived at the scene to take the criminals to jail!
"Another good night."said Batman to himself before he turned around to see a pink kangaroo cat creature looking at him.
"Hello, Batman."said Mew, revealing he had seen Batman.
"Who... What are you?!"inquired the Dark Knight before lifting his fists.
He was prepared to face this mysterious creature when he suddenly found himself surrounded by a blue psychic-like energy covering his whole body.
"I'm sorry to do this to you, Bruce Wayne. But I don't have time for introductions. All you need to do is that you have been chosen to save my world, and you'll have to do it in the body of a teenager. Don't worry, you'll still have your adult mind. But you're going to need the power of pokémon if you want to save my world and return to Gotham City in one piece! I'm sorry for rushing you, but as we speak, the evil organization threatening the whole Pokemon world is on the move... So I don't have time for your consent. I'm sorry, and I hope you can forgive me one day."said Mew before he opened the portal into ultra space and through Batman into it.
Within moments, the world's greatest detective was thrown into the portal that quickly took him into what appeared to be a highway wormhole through space and time! He felt his body getting younger as his Batman armor was removed from his body. So he was wearing nothing more than a black shit, blue jeans, and black running shoes. Bruce was confused by all of this, not understanding what was going on is he felt his body getting younger and younger... Soon, he saw a bright light at the end of the wormhole known as ultra space. Within moments, he was absorbed inside, and he found himself in a place that was definitely not Gotham City.
Since Gotham City was not known for having any nearby beautiful forest filled with really big butterflies like creatures flying around?
"What the heck just happened...?"shouted Bruce Wayne into the sky to no one in particular, wondering what the heck just happened to him.
One moment, he is fighting crime in Gotham City as an adult, and the next moment, he is a young teenager in a land that is definitely not his own!
soon, he would discover that he has a purpose for being here, in more ways than one as he tries to save the Pokemon world and possibly his world from a great threat! Only time will tell how things work out for Batman / Bruce Wayne in the world of Pokemon, specifically in the Hoenn region!
Hopefully, he'll make it out of this stronger and better than before... Hopefully!
(Hello, I'm PunchingOx. It's nice to meet everyone. Before you ask, I'm not one of those writers who try to make a Pokemon X Batman fanfiction in the past... I'm a completely new writer on the scene, so don't accuse me of things without proof. I'm only doing this because I'm tired of Batman X Pokemon fanfiction stories being deleted, so I decided to throw my hat into the ring and do one on my own! After all, as the old saying goes, if you want something done right, then you have to do it yourself!)
Now Batman will most likely face Team Aqua, but I'm still deciding.
In the next chapter, he will meet Professor Birch, and we'll get his starter Pokemon.
He will get a Zubat for the story, so relax. He does have a preference for bat like creatures, after all.
Now, he will get legendary pokémon around the end of the story, and you probably know which legendary Pokemon by now if you played the game.
Now, this won't just be a Bruce Wayne playing Pokemon playthrough game. I will put some obstacles from the DC universe every now and again in this story in order to keep it interesting.
Who are those obstacles... Well, you'll just have to read the story and find out by yourself. I don't give spoilers.
