Erin's POV

It was a scream that stopped my tears.

"The heck was that?" Joey wondered.

Yami helped me stand up and we all went to investigate. Our eyes went bug-eyed as real Duel Monsters were going about their business and it was scaring the crap out of everyone.

"Looks like someone's Duel Disk must have gone haywire" Tristan muttered.

"These aren't holograms," I told him and the others. "Those are real monsters"

"But how is that possible?" Tea asked.

"Bet Kaiba knows" Joey suggested.

"That would be a waste of time" I advised Joey. "He's not in Domino at the moment, and if I were to guess there will probably be a press conference later"

"It would be wise if all of you headed home" Ishizu suggested. "I don't like the looks of this"

The gang reluctantly agreed and I would hang onto Moonstone Dragon until I saw Zane again. Joey and Tristan suddenly freaked out when the Reaper of the Cards was coming our way. I summoned an orb of fox fire and made sure the ugly spook saw it. It did, and it turned right around and booked it. Then Joey and Tristan hugged me while Tea sweat dropped and I chuckled.

Homestead

Mom, Dad, and I were watching the news to get updates about the Duel Monster sightings. I received a few texts from Seto asking if I was okay.

I'm fine was my reply before adding. Don't be going all protective again my Zaldrizes

But I couldn't exactly blame him for being that way after the crap Kaya put us through. She was currently in jail, facing the consequences of her crime, and not even her parents were helping her. In fact, they were very apologetic and took care of my hospital bill, which was very generous of them to do. The news then cut to the press conference promised by Kaiba Corp.

"After extensive testing of our holographic simulation systems, we've determined these monster sightings are unrelated to Kaiba Corp," Seto addressed the media.

"I hope your mate isn't stressing too much about this," Mom stated, looking at me.

"He most likely is" I replied.

"No doubt he's on his way back to Domino" Dad interjected.

After the press conference, I called it a night and went to my room after saying goodnight to my parents. As I got ready for bed Silverwing spoke up.

I sense a new evil is lurking

I agreed with her but what it was troubled me. It wasn't Bakura because I would know if he was up to something. But seeing those memories from my ancient past still lingered in my mind. Sometimes I wished my past self had one lover not freaking two!

Shaking my head I turned out the light and was soon fast asleep.

Dominion of the Beasts

"Okay, there's no way I'm still awake," I muttered to myself as I found myself in a pretty garden. Hell, I was still wearing my sleep attire.

"You are still asleep Wielder, but this is a very real place"

I turned to see Balerion and I smiled at seeing him.

"We've been waiting for your arrival"

I whirled around at a feminine voice and Dark Magician Girl hovered in the air before me.

"I didn't mean to scare you, Erin"

"No worries, it's a pleasure to be talking with you, and I think I know why I'm here. Is this the Realm of the Dominion of the Beasts?"

"Part of it" the spell caster responded. "Balerion will take you where your needed"

Balerion lowered himself and I climbed up his wing. I made sure to press my knees inward so I had a firm seat on his back. I used his neck spikes to grasp onto and it wasn't long until the Black Dread was in flight. We passed several cool-looking sights of the Duel Monsters world before the familiar room with the four dragon statues in ice came into view. Dark Magician Girl landed before them and all of my monsters from the Valyrian Deck made themselves known.

Next to Vhagar were Moonstone Dragon and Blue Eyes. Balerion landed in front of the largest dragon statue.

"You know which dragon this is" Dark Magician Girl informed me as I slid off Balerion's back.

"Meraxes"

"The other three dragons alongside her used to be the protectors of this world, but paid the price when facing the Great Beast that now threatens both this realm and the human one, thus becoming frozen in ice, Meraxes was brought here 5,000 years ago by some unknown force"

"Well, whatever is threatening both worlds is going to get their ass kicked," I promised the spell caster. "And nothing is going to stop me from taking that sword out of Meraxes's frozen form"

Dark Magician Girl nodded just as Blue Eyes and Moonstone landed on either side of me. Moonstone snaked its head underneath my arm while Blue Eyes pressed its snout against my forehead. I felt safe with them at my side and trusting they would have my back, I stepped onto the platform where the sword was.

I placed both hands on its hilt and began to pull like no tomorrow. The blade wouldn't move at first, but when Blue Eyes and Moonstone got closer to me, the weapon began to move. I then called to my Nine-Tailed heritage and my body glowed silver as my claws took shape and my nine silvery tails appeared behind my back. I gave the sword another hard tug and it became free!

The ice then began to crack and then proceeded to shatter. The newly freed dragoness had the same physique as Balerion only her scales were silver and her frills, and wing membranes were gold.

"Sister!" Balerion called out.

Meraxes immediately opened her eyes, revealing their gorgeous golden color, and she turned her head to Balerion and Vhagar. What transpired was a sweet reunion between the three siblings. While Balerion affectionately licked her scales, Vhagar and Meraxes shared a face rub.

"You did it" Dark Magician Girl beamed.

I flashed her a smirk just as Meraxes turned her gaze on me. She then emitted a happy hum and it wasn't long until her face was in front of me.

"Hello again Wielder, you must forgive me for my absence the Dark One imprisoned me after Egypt was saved 5,000 years ago"

"But you are here now and I'll be damned if you become frozen in time again, and my name is Erin"

Meraxes chuckled before affectionately giving me a nudge with her snout. I placed my against her scales and the bond between us formed.

Reality

Immediately I woke up and got out of bed. I went to my deck and saw a single card was glowing. I picked it up and I smiled as Meraxes looked back at me. Her attack points were 2900 and her defense was 2500.

I will serve you well Erin Meraxes said to me. And now you should go back to sleep

Noted and welcome back

With another yawn, I set her card back down and went back to bed indeed.

Next Day.

"What the f**k?" I growled as I read Tea's text.

Last night the Egyptian God Cards were stolen and even after kicking the duelist in the ass that stole them, the idiot refused to return them. Seto set a limo to pick me up at the house after school, and once I was out of that damned uniform from hell, I grabbed the Valyrian Deck and got into the limo.

Seto and Mokuba returned from their business trip last night. I sweat dropped when I saw the reporters outside of the entrance. Roland was waiting for me at the entrance Seto and Mokuba used that wasn't the front door of headquarters.

"Hey Roland, I see those reporters are still being persistent bastards"

The suit chuckled.

"It's nothing I can't handle Ms. Erin"

I gave him a pat on the shoulder before the two of us went inside. I sent my Zaldrizes a text saying that I was on my way up, and a short elevator ride later, we arrived on Seto's floor. Seto stood behind his desk and was on the phone. He was annoyed about something, and when he saw me, I made a gesture for him to finish what he was doing. He gave me a thank-you glance before resuming his call.

My own phone buzzed and it was from Zane.

Yugj's god cards were stolen?! Wtf?!

Imagine how I would feel if the Valyrian Deck was snatched

Please that deck only lets you mess with it sis, just make sure no one tries to steal Moonstone

"Sorry about that, Kitsune," Seto apologized once his call was finished. "This whole monster sighting thing is a damned nightmare"

"No doubt but you are the President of Kaiba Corp my Zaldrizes and can handle anything"

My mate smirked before drawing me into his arms. But he must have sensed I had other things on my mind and asked what was troubling me. And I told him about the visions I saw the day prior along with how I felt after seeing them. I also made it clear to my Zaldrizes that he was the one I loved in this time and not Bakura.

"I know you love me Kitsune, besides I'm the only one that can you make blush hard"

His smirk widened after saying that and I did my best not to blush now. But it couldn't be helped and Seto chuckled. It was then I remembered Meraxes and I drew her card out of my deck. Seto's eyes widened.

"Is that?"

"Meraxes, it's a long story but what matters is that I finally got her"

I then let Seto take a good look at the card.

"She's not a bad-looking dragon, but Silverwing is the one I'm attached to from your deck"

The President of Kaiba then sat down on the sofa and I joined him. My seat, however, was soon in his lap, but I wasn't complaining.

"There is something I do want to ask you"

I arched an eyebrow in curiosity.

"This is your senior year at Domino High right?"

"Yeah it is"

"Normally I avoid social gatherings but for you and Mokuba I'm willing to make exceptions, the prom is coming up and if you want I'll take you"

Holy shit.

I hadn't been expecting that. I didn't go to my junior prom because it sounded boring, but this was my last year of high school so why the hell not?

"As long as you don't mind the many photos Mom and Dad are gonna want"

My response made him smile.

"I don't mind, besides I want the world to know you are mine"

I sweat dropped at that comment and Seto chuckled before pressing a kiss on top of my forehead.
