Delena meet-cute. An AH/AU short story exploring what might happen if they met a little later down the line as humans.

Welcome to Ablaze, my season four rewrite. Personally, season four is one of my favourites, but because of sire bond and Jeremy's death, its rewatch value isn't great. Enjoy this Delena-centric story of following the Cure/Silas storyline that will later introduce you to a new supernatural mystery of my own creation. Sequel to Stuck in Mystic Falls. After the sacrifice, Mary Gilbert finds herself still having to deal with the consequences of Klaus's appearance. Will a new friend and old love help her get past things? Plus she finds another consequence that she wasn't considering.

This story picks up in the middle 2x20 moments before Damon fed Elena his blood to keep her alive after the sacriface. Mostly canon, with slight changes to Elena's character and adjustments to the plot based on her decision in Chapter 1. Please keep me motivated.
