It was early one morning and Gwen was still asleep. Suddenly her alarm clock went off and Gwen woke up feeling tired. She hit her alarm clock to make it stop, but she accidentally destroyed it with her new strength.

"Oh no!" Gwen exclaimed.

Gwen was about to grab her ink pen when she feared she'd destroy it too. She took a deep breath and calmed down. Then she gently grabbed her ink pen and restored her alarm clock. She sighed of relief, believing she got her new powers under control.

Gwen got out of bed, went into the bathroom to take a shower. As she was bathing, she accidentally froze the water, trapping her feet. While frozen in place, Gwen tried to relax and thought of her fire power and the ice started to thaw and the shower continued running.

"If I don't get these new powers under control, I'm gonna be a disaster to be unleased on the world." Gwen said worryingly.

Later, she brushed her teeth, brushed her hair and got dressed. She joins Cuphead and Mugman for breakfast. Elder Kettle was making their favorite pancakes.

Elder Kettle tooted his nose and flipped the first five pancakes. Cuphead lifted his plate as he was reading a comic book and caught his pancakes. Mugman raised his plate, but he unfortunately missed his pancakes as they hit the wall and fell down.

Gwen felt bad until she decided to grab her ink pen when suddenly, the fallen pancakes glowed and lifted themselves back up to the moment they hit the wall. Mugman is shocked and lifted his plate up to the pancakes. The glowing stopped and the pancakes landed in his plate as Mugman set it down.

"That's new. How'd you do that without your ink pen?" Mugman asked.

"I… I don't know." Gwen hesitantly answered as she hid her hands.

Cuphead looked at Gwen, sensing she was hiding something.

"You okay Gweny? You've been acting weird lately." Cuphead asked, concerned.

"I'm fine guys. I'm just still adjusting after our trip in Egypt." Gwen lied.

Elder Kettle served Gwen her pancakes and joins the trio at the table.

"So, Gwen, what are you gonna learn in school today?" Elder Kettle asked as he sipped some coffee.

"Oh, the professor said we're gonna learn about the Greek arts like sculptures, painting and pottery." Gwen answered as she was eating.

"Oh, that's great dear. Are you gonna go to Greece to do your next assignment?" Elder Kettle asked.

"That depends on what it is. If it's a sculpture, maybe I won't have to." Gwen said nervously as she sipped her coffee.

After finishing breakfast, Gwen packed her satchel and prepared to leave for school. Suddenly, she accidentally set her satchel of fire.

"Oh no!" Gwen exclaimed.

Gwen panicked until water shot from her hands, putting out the fire.

Gwen groaned frustratingly as she used her ink pen to restore her satchel.

"Is everything okay Gwen?" Elder Kettle called.

Gwen's eyes popped.

"Yeah! Everything's fine Elder Kettle! I just dropped my books!" Gwen called and lied.

"Oh, well be careful!" Elder Kettle called.

Gwen sighed; relieved Elder Kettle bought it. She teleported to her school and joined her class.

The art professor enters the classroom and began the day's lesson about Greek art. Gwen stayed focus on the lesson as she was writing notes. Suddenly, the classroom went dark, making everyone startled.

"Oh dear! We must have a power outage!" The professor exclaimed.

Suddenly, the classroom lit up, making everyone sigh of relief.

"Oh, there we go. Now, let's continue shall we." The professor asked.

Gwen looked around and realized it was her dark and light powers doing it, making her nervous as she tried to focus on her schoolwork.

After class, Gwen met up with her fiancé Clarence for a date at a restaurant.

"So, honey, how was school today?" Clarence asked.

"It was interesting. First, we learned ancient Egyptian art and now we're learning ancient Greek art. How about you?" Gwen answered, pretending everything was fine.

"Now that you mention it, I have big news I want to share, but I wanna wait until Sunday dinner to tell everyone." Clarence announced.

"Really? Can you give me a little hint?" Gwen asked making cute eyes.

"Let's just say it involves showbiz." Clarence hinted and winked.

Gwen smiled as the waiter brought their food to them. They both dined together when suddenly, a little earthquake rumbled.

"Woah, was that an earthquake or is the Devil trying to ruin our date again?" Clarence asked.

Gwen's eyes widened, realizing it was her earth powers and tried to calm down.

"Honey, are you alright? Did that scare you?" Clarence asked concerned.

"Oh, yeah. I dunno what that was either. It could've been the Devil." Gwen lied.

Clarence saw the fear in her face, but he dismissed it.

"It'll be okay Gwen. I promise you we'll get through this." Clarence assured her.

Gwen smiled at Clarence, knowing he will do anything to protect her.

"I don't know where I'd be without you." Gwen said.

After dessert, they both prepared to leave when suddenly, the Devil appeared in front of them.

"I got you now!" The Devil evilly said and prepared to kidnap Gwen.

Suddenly… ZAP then BOOM!

He is electrocuted severely and then exploded. Now he was severely injured by Gwen than ever before. The Devil was fried up in defeat and disappeared once again to his personal ER.

"Phew. That was close. At least you remembered your invisible sweater." Clarence said, feeling relieved.

Gwen's eyes widened and hid her hands in her arms, realizing she didn't have the sweater on, and it was her lightning powers. Clarence gave Gwen a hug, only to notice she didn't have the sweater on.

"Wait, you don't have the sweater on." Clarence said, feeling her shoulders.

Gwen's eyes widened in fear.

"Wait, our sweaters can't do that much damage or make explosions on the Devil like real lightning." Clarence said, catching on to her secret.

Gwen felt scared.

"Did you do that yourself?" Clarence asked, now full of questions.

"Uh…" Gwen answered nervously.

"Honey, you can tell me anything. I promise I won't tell anyone." Clarence assured her.

"I… uh… may have been blessed with something." Gwen nervously admitted.

Clarence looked at the time.

"I gotta run. We'll talk about this later. I love you." Clarence said.

"I love you too." Gwen said back.

They both kissed then Clarence took off for the studio for work. Gwen quickly teleported back home to clear her head. Gwen tried to keep calm as she tried to do her homework.

"I attacked the Devil and now I'm powerful than ever. Clarence suspects something. What am I gonna do?" Gwen said panicking.

Sunday dinner came and Gwen along with Clarence joined her family at her old home. They joined her parents and her sister Rose and her family. Clarence tapped his glass, getting their attention.

"Okay everyone, I have a big announcement to make." Clarence said.

"Ooh, what is it, Clarence?" William asked.

"I have been offered… my first movie role!" Clarence happily announced.

Everybody cheered for Clarence.

"That's wonderful honey!" Gwen said happily and kissed him.

"I'm so proud of you, my son." Edgar said proudly.

"Thanks." Clarence thanked.

"Yes dear, we all are." Margarine agreed and kissed Clarence on the head.

Clarence felt loved, feeling Gwen's parents were the closest he ever had to actual parents.

"What movie is it?" Rose asked.

"It's gonna be the upcoming musical film on a Navy ship." Clarence answered.

"We're so happy for you. Let us know the premiere date and we'll be there." Edgar said.

"I will, I promise. You'll all have front row seats." Clarence promised.

Later, the family gather in the family room to play games. Gwen sat next to Rose, feeling happy everything was fine.

"Ooh, I'm feeling a little sweaty." Rose said feeling a little hot.

Gwen waved her hand to cool her sister off when suddenly, a little wind blew at Rose's head.

"Woah! That was quite a breeze!" Rose said as she fixed her hair.

Gwen quickly hid her hands, starting to panic. Rose notices the fear in her sister's eyes.

"Gwen? Are you okay?" Rose asked concerned.

"Oh yeah totally. Why?" Gwen lied and asked.

Rose gave that look, knowing she's being lied to.

"What are you hiding?" Rose finally asked.

Gwen's face dropped, knowing she can't lie to her sister.

"Uh, nothing." Gwen lied again.

"Hey Gwen? Would you get me a glass of cold water?" Margarine asked and held an empty glass.

"Oh, sure mama." Gwen quickly said, avoiding the conversation.

Gwen quickly got up and grabbed her mother's glass. Before she turned to leave, the glass suddenly filled with water, shocking her.

"Oh no…" Gwen nervously said.

"Gwen?" Margarine asked.

"Oh! Uh, here mama." Gwen quickly said and handed the glass to her mother.

"Oh, that was quick. Thank you dear." Margarine thanked.

"No problem mama." Gwen said, faking a smile.

Margarine sipped the water then looked at it.

"Wow, this is the best water I've had." Margarine complimented.

"Then I guess you're lucky." Gwen quickly said.

Gwen tried to walk out of the room when Rose came up to her, now full of questions.

"You did that without your ink pen. How did you do that?" Rose asked.

"Uh…" Gwen struggled to answer until she had an idea.

"Ooh! I don't feel so good! I think I need to lay down! Bye!" Gwen said as faked a headache and quickly ran upstairs to her old room.

Rose stood there shocked at her sister's actions. Clarence comes up to Rose and gestured her to talk privately while the family continued playing games. Both Clarence and Rose leave the room to talk.

"Okay, what's going on with Gwen?" Rose asked, demanding answers.

"I'm trying to find out too. The other day the Devil attempted to attack her when he got electrocuted then a thunder explosion really fried him. I assumed she had the invisible sweater on, but she didn't. I think she did it herself." Clarence admitted.

"Did you ask her what's going on?" Rose asked.

"I did. All she said was she thinks she's been blessed with something. That's all I know." Clarence answered.

"In that case, you and I both know what we need to do now." Rose said, having a plan.

"I think you're right. Let's go talk to her privately. Intervention time." Clarence agreed.

Rose and Clarence quietly went upstairs to her old bedroom. They both enter the room, making Gwen startled and rose up from her bed. Clarence quickly closed the door as Rose sat on her bed.

"Alright, what is it?" Rose asked.

"What?" Gwen asked in denial.

"You're hiding something." Rose said, not believing her lies.

"Uh…" Gwen struggled to speak.

"Gwen, no more lies. You made a promise to me: no more secrets!" Rose reminded her.

Gwen felt guilty, knowing she was right.

"Gwen, we love you. We want to help. But we can't if you don't let us." Clarence said.

Gwen paused in silence, then tears welled up in her eyes and took a deep breath.

"I… I was blessed with 12 more powers from the Egyptian gods themselves and now I can't get them under control. I'm afraid the Devil will find out." Gwen finally confessed as she started crying.

Rose and Clarence were both shocked.

"I did not expect you to say that." Clarence admitted.

"Wait, the Egyptian gods? The ones we learned about in school? They're real?" Rose asked.

"Yes." Gwen answered.

"What did you do? Why were you in Egypt in the first place?" Rose asked.

"It was supposed to be for a school project! I didn't expect Chalice to steal that Eye amulet, unleashing the plagues, being cornered by my new friend, an evil man stealing the Eye and releasing Set which costed him his life, tricking the Devil into coming and fighting him, Horus getting his eye back, defeating Set and imprisoning him, stopped the plagues and beaming me away to the sky and being shot beams into me from those giant gods!" Gwen confessed frustratingly and summarized the whole story.

Rose and Clarence stood in shock at the story, trying to absorb everything Gwen said as she tried to catch her breath.

"Woah." Clarence said, amazed.

"This is too much to take in. So, to recap, you and the cups went to Egypt for your school project, but things took an unexpected turn, and all those bad things happened, then Horus got his eye back and saved the world, leading you to be spirited away to heaven and the gods beamed all those powers into you?" Rose asked, trying to understand.

"Yes." Gwen quietly answered as flowers grew on her bedsheets.

"Woah!" Clarence exclaimed.

"UGH! They won't stop!" Gwen cried and made the flowers disappear.

"You can't control them?" Clarence asked.

"No! I don't know what to do! I can't live my life with them destroying anything or anyone! I didn't ask for any of this!" Gwen yelled and continued crying.

Clarence sat down and held Gwen, trying to calm her down. Rose walked away to think for a moment. She thought for a minute until she got an idea. Rose walked up to the couple.

"Gwen, you need help. Let's go." Rose said and held out her hand and pulled her out of bed.

"What?" Gwen asked.

"We gotta talk to him. He's gotta have a solution." Clarence said getting up, catching on to Rose's idea.

"Take us to the ancient ring of stones." Rose instructed.

Gwen sighed, knowing who they have to talk to. Gwen tapped her ink pen, and the trio disappeared to the ancient ring of stones.

"Jawbreaker." Rose instructed.

Gwen magically made a jawbreaker and gave it to her. Rose walked up to the pool of water, knelt down and dropped the jawbreaker into the water, making it fizz. Clarence and Gwen walked up and knelt to the pool next to Rose.

"Gwen, it's gonna be okay." Clarence assured her as he held her.

"I don't know anymore." Gwen said.

"It will be." Rose said.

Just then, the wind started blowing and a beam of light shot from the pool.

"A new threat was bestowed at a swift, now the gods of Egypt gave you their gift!" Quadratus called.

"Yes, she just told us that. And we saw it for ourselves." Rose answered.

Quadratus's face appeared in the pool.

"Another conflict that made you resilient; now you are given the twelve of element. Gwendolyn, you need to be wise and smart, godly powers are not for the faint of heart." Quadratus rhymed, knowing what Gwen has inside her now.

"Twelve of element? As in the 12 elements?" Clarence asked.

"Yeah, these." Gwen answered as she held up the chart of the elements.

Rose took the chart and read them.

"Oh wow, you have all of those in you?" Rose asked.

"Yes." Gwen nervously answered.

Just then, Gwen accidentally moved a rock with her mind.

"Wow! That was cool!" Clarence admitted.

"See what I'm talking about?" Gwen asked, proving her point.

"It all makes sense now." Clarence said.

"Quadratus, the Egyptian gods bestowed her 12 new superpowers. My sister's freaking out and struggling to control them. Is there any way to keep them under control?" Rose asked.

"Gwendolyn struggles to keep control, and she have my deepest condole. But fear not there is one way, to serene your sister and keep her powers at bay." Quadratus rhymed.

"What is it?" Gwen asked.

"A bracelet made of silver; will keep your gifts from spiraling and quiver. Thus you will feel better and free." Quadratus rhymed as he showed a silhouette of a silver bracelet.

"Do you have one?" Clarence asked.

"Hang on you three." Quadratus said.

The water started swishing as Quadratus searched everywhere for the bracelet as they patiently waited.

"AHA! Here it is! Take it Rose!" Quadratus called.

A shining silver bracelet emerged out of the rising water. Rose stepped up and took the bracelet.

"And you must put the bracelet on your sister's wrist my child." Quadratus instructed as the water pointed at her.

"Okay." Rose agreed.

Rose went up to Gwen with the bracelet.

"Which wrist?" Rose asked.

Gwen thought for a moment then made her choice. She raised her left wrist.

"I need to use my right hand." Gwen explained.

"Makes sense." Clarence said.

Rose wrapped the bracelet around Gwen's wrist and clicked the bracelet on. Gwen turned her wrist, checking out the bracelet.

"It's so beautiful." Gwen complimented.

"Indeed, Gwendolyn. As long as you wear it, your powers will be kept at bay." Quadratus said.

"Thank you, Quadratus." Gwen thanked.

"You're welcome, my child." Quadratus said.

"I have one more question. Why did the Egyptian gods give her these powers?" Rose asked.

"The Devil warned Horus he will take over both worlds by marrying your sister who wields the magic inkwell and the cosmic powers of the astral plane through her. It seems he brought your sister before the gods, and they gave her those godly gifts to fight and defeat the Devil twelve-fold to prevent him from completing his goal." Quadratus answered.

"That explains why the Devil really got creamed after Gwen struck him with lightning." Clarence said.

Gwen hugged Rose.

"Thank you, sis. You're the best!" Gwen cried happily.

Rose hugged her back.

"I made a promise and I'm keeping it." Rose said, recalling her promise to never give up on her.

"I commend you Rose for your enduring perseverance for your sister." Quadratus complimented.

Rose felt proud of herself as Clarence hugged the sisters.

"And you Clarence, you're the best man I'm happy to spend the rest of my life with." Gwen said.

Clarence smiled and held her.

"Mom was right. I couldn't have been blessed more with an angel like you." Clarence said.

"Aw how sweet. Good day to you all." Quadratus said and disappeared from the water.

"Alright, now that's taken care of, let's go home." Clarence said.

"I agree." Gwen said.

Gwen teleports themselves back into her old bedroom.

"Alright, let's head back downstairs." Clarence said.

"Oh, guys?" Rose asked after a thought struck her.

The couple looked at Rose.

"We say nothing about this to anyone. Gwen's already under constant threat of kidnapping. So, Clarence, it's up to us to keep her safe." Rose declared.

"What about the Devil?" Clarence asked.

"The Devil doesn't know, and we are going to keep it that way." Rose answered with determination.

"You're right, Rose." Gwen agreed.

"And Gwen? You heard Quadratus. Under any circumstances, don't ever take that bracelet off. Promise?" Rose sternly instructed and raised her pinky finger.

Gwen sighed, then she wrapped her pinky around Rose's pinky.

"Sister promise." Gwen said.

"Great. Now, let's join the others and act normal." Rose said, feeling relieved.

The couple nodded and they rejoin the family in the living room. Edgar and Margarine held the twins Emma and Jack.

"Hey, you three have been upstairs for a while. Is everything alright?" Edgar asked.

"Gwen had a bad headache, but I found the ibuprofen and now she's better." Rose lied.

Gwen nodded.

"Oh, that's good. Now come on, we're about to play Monopoly." William said.

"Oh, that's a great game." Clarence said, acting normal.

They all gather around and play Monopoly. Later, Gwen was about to leave when Rose pulled Clarence aside.

"Clarence, you're gonna be my brother-in-law. I know you got a movie gig coming up, but whenever you can, keep an eye on Gwen. Call me if there's any change in her powers or if something happens." Rose instructed.

Clarence nodded.

"I won't let anything happen to her." Clarence promised.

"Thank you." Rose thanked and hugged him.

"Clarence, you ready?" Gwen asked approaching them.

"Oh Gwen, before you go, one more thing." Rose said.

"Yeah?" Gwen asked.

"No more traveling to any countries for a while. Who knows whatever gods are also real and out there. Understand?" Rose asked seriously.

"Very well. I need a break from traveling anyway." Gwen said.

"Good." Rose said relieved.

They all said goodbye and Gwen and Clarence returned to the Inkwell Isles.

The next day, Gwen gets ready for school and to her relief, nothing happens out of the ordinary. She gave it a test and waved her hand, but nothing happened.

"It works! It really works!" Gwen said happily.

Gwen starts her morning routine like everything was normal. She went about her day going to school, playing with her cup brothers, dating Clarence and spending time with her family.

As time passed, Gwen was back to her old self, living her life each day with her bracelet on to keep her gifts concealed.

Gwen continued her studies and art while her Cuphead, Mugman and Ms. Chalice were playing outside. Just then, Rose came by and sat down next to Gwen.

"So, how's everything going sis?" Rose asked.

"It couldn't be better Rose. I feel like my old self again. I can still use the magic inkwell and all but other than that, it's been awesome. No problems, no accidents or anything like that." Gwen happily answered.

"That's wonderful Gwen. Keep it up with the bracelet and never take it off." Rose encouraged.

"Oh, I will. It's been working wonders." Gwen said.

"Terrific. So, how's college going? What's your next project?" Rose asked.

"We're learning about ancient Greek art now and I have to make a Greek-inspired pottery art." Gwen answered.

"Well, don't travel to Greece this time. You don't need to go there for inspiration like you did in Egypt. Just look at the pictures from the textbook, get your own pottery and you'll think of something to paint." Rose advised.

"Okay then. I think I have an idea what to paint." Gwen said looking the cups playing.

"Oh, I see. You need three models." Rose said, figuring it out.

"Yep. Besides I don't wanna know if the Greek gods are real or not. I don't want any more blessings or possibly curses." Gwen said.

"Yeah. It's for the best. Besides, from what I read about the gods in Greek mythology, they're not to be trusted." Rose agreed.

Both girls sat for a while together while Cuphead, Mugman and Ms. Chalice continued playing.

Meanwhile, the Devil has once again recovered from his latest encounter with Gwen and is sitting on his throne, feeling confused.

"It doesn't make any sense. How did Gwen's sweater get so powerful? It really packed a punch this time. I didn't even try to touch her." The Devil asked himself.

His minion Henchman rolled a cart in with a teapot and cup.

"Duh, I don't think it was the sweater. She could've done it herself." Henchman said, guessing.

"What? What do you mean she could've done it herself? She didn't even use her ink pen, and I didn't even touch her this time!" The Devil asked as he took his cup of tea.

"Perhaps Miss Emmons has learned a new trick." Henchman guessed.

"A new trick? Like what?" The Devil asked.

The Devil summoned his magic mirror and tapped it.

"Show me the girl!" The Devil ordered.

The mirror showed a vision of Gwen sitting with Rose outside the cottage while the cups played.

"Nothing unusual happening. She looks the same." Henchman said.

"True, but there must've been something I missed. She physically looks the same. Same hair, same eyes, same glasses, same necklace, same earrings, same magic inkwell and ink pen." The Devil said, looking closely at Gwen.

Just then, he noticed the silver bracelet on her left wrist.

"Wait, that silver bracelet is new. I think I've seen something like that before. But I don't remember where." The Devil said as he looked at the bracelet.

"EHHM! Excuse me!" A familiar nasally voice called.

"UGH! Not now Stickler! I'm very busy!" The Devil angrily yelled.

"Ehm, I have information on the silver bracelet you discovered." Stickler said as he held up a book.

The Devil's eyes popped.

"Well, why didn't you say so you idiot?!" The Devil asked frustratingly.

"I was getting to that." Stickler answered flatly.

"Tell me about that bracelet!" The Devil demanded.

"According to this chapter of Magical Artifacts, that is the enchanted silver bracelet that supposed to keep any form of power concealed. It was used whenever immortals walked among the Earth posing as mortals to keep their godly powers hidden." Stickler explained as he showed the book to his boss.

"What?! What do you mean keep their godly powers hidden?!" The Devil angrily asked.

"It appears Miss Emmons is concealing some sort of godly power. In other words, she is keeping something hidden inside her." Stickler answered.

The Devil's eyes widened, and his jaw dropped.

"But how?! How could she possibly get a godly power?! Something's not adding up!" The Devil angrily asked.

The Devil got up from his throne and paced back and forth thinking.

"Don't worry boss, we'll figure this out. Now think back, did anything unusual happen in the past few days or weeks?" Henchman asked.

"Hmm. Let's see, Gwen started going to college. No, it's not that. I went to Salem to stop that stupid witch. Wait no, it couldn't be her since witch magic is not the same as godly power. Then I added another trophy to my trophy room for my pleasant evilness…" The Devil said, recapping past events.

Suddenly, the Devil gasped, remembering something.

"Oh! I was given a note from Set that he was gonna take over the world! I managed to stop that faker before that jerk Horus showed up!" The Devil exclaimed.

"Let me see that letter." Stickler said.

The Devil snapped his fingers, and the letter appeared in his hand. Stickler took the letter and read it carefully.

"Are you sure Set wrote this?" Stickler asked.

"What do you mean by that?" The Devil asked suspiciously.

"Set cannot write English since he's also an ancient being." Stickler said, studying the handwriting.

"What are you saying?" The Devil asked, now getting more suspicious.

"This is note is a fake. I believe Miss Emmons tricked you into going to the Temple of Horus to stop Set." Stickler answered.

The Devil gasped in horror and covered his mouth in shock.

"WHAT?!" The Devil roared.

"Wait a minute, what was she even doing in Egypt?" Henchman asked.

"Well, that's what I intend to find out. And I know just the place to investigate since I know she won't talk." The Devil said, preparing to investigate.

The Devil grabbed his pitchfork and prepared to leave.

"Come along Henchman! We're going to investigate!" The Devil ordered.

"Yes boss!" Henchman agreed.

The Devil tapped his pitchfork and they both disappeared. They appeared at Gwen's empty art classroom.

"Wait, why are we here boss? This is her art classroom." Henchman asked.

"I think there's something here Egyptian related that could answer my questions." The Devil said looking around.

"Oh, okay." Henchman said as he also started looking.

Just then, Henchman came across a window display in the hallway of Egyptian artwork from all the students.

"Hey boss! I think I found something!" Henchman called.

The Devil ran up to Henchman.

"What is it?" The Devil asked.

"Look at this boss. All these are Egyptian inspired artwork. But look at Gwen's artwork." Henchman pointed.

The Devil looked closely at Gwen's art project and noticed paintings of 12 Egyptian gods and the 12 elemental symbols. The Devil remembered something.

"Wait! I've seen those symbols before! Those are the 12 elements!" The Devil exclaimed.

"12 elements boss? What does that have to do with whatever Gwen's hiding?" Henchman asked.

Just then, the Devil eyes widened as it started to click what was happening.

"Of course! Don't you see Henchman? That's what she's hiding! I think she has all the 12 elemental powers inside her!" The Devil exclaimed, figuring it all out.

"But boss, we don't know that! Maybe she could one or two of those powers. You said she struck you with lightning?" Henchman said and asked.

"Yes, Henchman! That was the lightning element! It all makes sense now!" The Devil exclaimed.

"But how are we gonna find out if she has the other 11 elements or not?" Henchman asked.

The Devil grinned evilly.

"Leave that part to me. I have a plan." The Devil said and laughed evilly.

"Aw jeez." Henchman said worryingly.

Meanwhile, back at the cottage, Gwen and Rose say goodbye and Rose returned to her family. Gwen and the cups have dinner with Elder Kettle until it was time for bed. Gwen was about to get ready for bed when suddenly, a note magically appeared in front of her, making her gasp.

"Oh no. Not again." Gwen said fearfully, knowing who the letter's from.

She hesitantly took the note and started to read it.

"My beautiful flower,

Nice letter trick you pulled in Egypt to stop Set from taking over the world which is of course my dream. I thank you for that. But it was rude of you keep your new secret from me like you did with your cosmic powers. So, I decided to interrogate your loving fiancé by having him accompany me to the underworld, not of his own freewill of course. But still, he refuses to talk and is very resistant. So, if you don't want him harmed or worse, I have a list of instructions for you. Be warned, I'm not playing by the rules anymore. I will take drastic measures again if it becomes necessary. So, here are my instructions:

1. You will step outside the cottage; Henchman will pick you up in the elevator. You will come alone.

2. You will surrender the magic inkwell and ink pen to Henchman. I don't want you getting any ideas. I will know.

3. You will not speak a word of this to your dumb cup friends or anyone else about any of this. It would be wise for you to leave your loved ones out of this.

4. When you arrive before me, you will be a good girl and do exactly as I order you to do for what is coming next. The terms will be discussed.

You have exactly 5 minutes to comply or your fiancé is doomed. Make your choice wisely.

Very truly yours,

The Devil A.K.A. your soon-to-be husband."

Gwen felt furious once again and seethed in anger.

"He's gonna regret this!" Gwen said furiously.

Gwen calmed down and looked at her engagement ring, remembering what she promised Clarence as he promised to protect her.

With no other choice, Gwen quietly sneaks out the front door and closed it. She looked around until she noticed the elevator appearing out of the fiery portal on the ground.

Henchman opened the door.

"Uh, boss wants to see ya." Henchman said.

Gwen took a deep breath and approached the elevator and stepped inside.

"I know." Gwen quietly said.

Henchman closed the door and pushed the down button, and the elevator disappeared into the ground.

While they waited, Gwen dreaded what was coming next.

"Ahem!" Henchman cleared his throat.

Gwen looked at him as he held out his hand.

"Oh. Right." Gwen said nervously.

Gwen hesitantly removed the magic inkwell and ink pen and reluctantly handed them over to Henchman. Gwen sighed heavily as she folded her arms.

Suddenly, the elevator stopped and dinged.

"Well, we're here. Good luck Miss Emmons." Henchman said.

Gwen thought to herself.

"Be strong Gwen. You can do this. You will rescue Clarence, and you will both get out of here as you always have." Gwen thought to herself.

Henchman opened the elevator door then Gwen hesitantly stepped out. She walked down the long blue carpet where the Devil was sitting on his throne waiting for her. As Gwen passed his tapestries, she tried to shut out the thought of what the Devil will do to Clarence. She mentally prepares herself and tried to be brave as she finally approached the Devil.

Gwen took a deep breath.

"I followed your instructions. Where's Clarence?" Gwen asked with anger in her tone.

The Devil was filing his claws. Then he set his nail file down and gave her an evil grin.

"Two years later and you still have no respect for me. But that will change in the future." The Devil said calmly.

"You didn't answer my question!" Gwen angrily said, trying to control her anger.

"My are we impatient." The Devil said mockingly as he snapped his fingers.

Two large toothy demon guards drag Clarence into the throne room.

"Clarence!" Gwen exclaimed.

She attempted to go after him, only for the Devil to magically restrain her with his pitchfork.

"Uh, uh, uh! Remember why you're here." The Devil taunted.

"I'm okay Gwen!" Clarence assured her.

Gwen breathed heavily, knowing she must obey his demands or else.

"What do you want?" Gwen asked sadly.

The Devil approached Gwen and patted her head.

"There's a good girl." The Devil said, treating her like a pet.

"Don't tell that insensitive jerk anything!" Clarence yelled until the guards restrained him, making him groan in pain.

"Oh, she doesn't need to tell me anything boy." The Devil said.

"Huh?" Gwen asked confusingly.

"No, my dear. You're going to… show me." The Devil said evilly.

Gwen stood there confused.

"I suppose you don't know what I'm talking about, hmm?" The Devil asked.

Gwen shook her head in denial, making the Devil snicker. Then he took her left hand with the silver bracelet.

"Is this bracelet new?" The Devil asked, making Gwen worry.

"It's so beautiful on you. Make it look like your… concealing something inside you." The Devil said, hinting he knows her secret.

Gwen's eyes widened in horror.

"I know… you've been blessed those dozen powers by those dumb Egyptian gods!" The Devil angrily yelled, making Gwen flinch to the floor.

Gwen trembled in fear as Clarence watched in horror how the Devil treats her.

"I know you wrote and sent me that fake letter! I know you were in the Temple of Horus! I know you were taken by Horus! I know those dumb gods blessed you with their godly powers!" The Devil yelled, knowing everything as Gwen squirmed while he blew fires in fury.

Gwen breathed heavily as tears welled up in her eyes from the Devil's yelling. The Devil noticed and calmed himself and doused the fires. He gently helps Gwen to her feet.

"Don't give me that look Gwen. If you don't want him to die, you're going to show me your new powers." The Devil calmly said with anger in his tone.

Gwen sighed, knowing she has no choice. The Devil unclicked her bracelet, took it off her wrist and took it away from her.

"Now, let's get started." The Devil said evilly.

The Devil wrapped his arm around Gwen and escorted her to an arena with Henchman, the guards holding Clarence following behind.

They enter the arena, and the Devil gestured the guards to stay on the sidelines. Gwen is taken to the center of the arena and stays at her side. Henchman was still carrying the magic inkwell and ink pen stayed on the sidelines.

Gwen stood there, trying to think of a plan.

"Don't get any ideas Gwen! I have my eyes on you this time! And you will do as I command!" The Devil warned.

Gwen quickly complies. The Devil walked up to Henchman when something caught Gwen's eye. She noticed Rose, Cuphead, Mugman and Ms. Chalice sneaking down the long spiral staircase and quietly gasped. When Rose noticed Gwen, she and the cups gesture Gwen to be quiet. Gwen quickly looked back at the Devil.

"Henchman, do you have that element chart I asked for?" The Devil asked.

"Duh, right here boss." Henchman said and handed him a chart.

"Excellent!" The Devil said.

The Devil looked at Gwen and walked back to her while she pretended nothing was wrong.

"Now let's start with my favorite element: Fire." The Devil ordered.

Gwen realized she needs to keep the Devil's attention occupied. Acting like she's still upset, she reluctantly raised her hands, and they started flaming, to the Devil's amazement.

"Amazing. Now, shoot fire at the target!" The Devil ordered as a target dummy rose from the ground.

Gwen sighed, then she shot fire blasts from her hands, blowing the target to ashes. The Devil applauded her.

"Very good my dear." The Devil complimented as he checked off the fire element with a pen.

"Now, let's try my least favorite element: Ice. Freeze the water in that tank." The Devil ordered.

Gwen reluctantly shot icy blasts from her hands and froze the water, making the tank glass break and the ice fell to the ground.

"Perfect." The Devil said evilly as he checked off ice on the chart.

"Now, let's try out the Time element. Restore that tank to its original state." The Devil ordered.

Gwen raised her hands, made the broken tank glow and used time to reverse it back to its original form before she froze and broke it. The Devil once again applauded her.

"Wonderful. Let's keep going." The Devil complimented as he checked off the Time element.

Meanwhile, Rose and the cups sneak up to the arena in the shadows. Rose noticed the Devil had the silver bracelet and Henchman had the magic inkwell. Then, she noticed the two toothy guards holding Clarence hostage.

"So, what's the plan?" Cuphead whispered.

Rose huddled with the cups behind a large rock. She drew with her finger in the dirt and placed a few rocks of the layout of the arena.

"Okay, here's the plan…" Rose whispered.

Later, the Devil has Gwen grow a tree, blow a tornado, make an earthquake to create a boulder, used her strength to throw the boulder away, strike lightning at the tree destroying it and flooding a section of the arena.

While she did the Devil's deeds, Ms. Chalice shapeshifted into her ghost form and flew up to one of the toothy guards and possessed him. Ms. Chalice raised the guard's fist, punched the back of the other guard's head, knocking him out. Clarence is confused until the possessed guard gestured him to be quiet and gave a wink, hinting him it was Ms. Chalice. Clarence nodded as he kept quiet.

Meanwhile, Cuphead and Mugman sneak up on Henchman, capture and gag his mouth with a cloth. Rose quietly snuck up from behind Henchman.

"I'll take those, thank you." Rose quietly taunted as she took back the magic inkwell and ink pen.

Rose quickly grabbed a rope she brought with her and tied Henchman up.

"This what happens when your boss blackmails my sister and threatens my brother-in-law! Guess he didn't learn that lesson 2 years ago." Rose angrily whispered to a captured Henchman.

Rose and the two cups carry Henchman to an open closet, placed him inside and close the door.

"Now we need to lock it, but how?" Mugman asked.

Rose looked at the magic inkwell and touched it when suddenly, a power flowed through her.

"Woah, what just happened?" Cuphead asked.

"I… I don't know. Gwen told me the same thing happened to her, Uncle Alvin and Grandpa Earnest. A power flowed inside them and then they were able to use the magic inkwell." Rose answered, remembering what Gwen told her.

"Looks like it's your turn Rose. Why don't you try it out?" Mugman suggested.

Rose placed the magic inkwell on her belt, raised the ink pen and thought to herself.

"What would Gwen do?"

Focusing, she pointed the ink pen at the door and suddenly, a lock magically appeared and locked the door, trapping Henchman inside. The cups gasped in amazement.

"Wow! You can use the inkwell too?" Cuphead quietly asked.

"I… I guess I can now. After all, I too am a descendant of the first user Grandpa Earnest." Rose said, amazed at what she did.

"Hey, that could come in handy!" Cuphead said.

"Uh, guys? We forgot Chalice and Clarence!" Mugman whispered.

"Oh!"

Rose exclaimed and the group quietly snuck up to Clarence and the possessed guard. Ms. Chalice used the guard's large fist and hit himself on the head as she quickly exited his body and shapeshifted into her living form.

"Stop hitting yourself!" Ms. Chalice taunted.

"Nice work Chalice!" Rose whispered.

"Thanks sister." Ms. Chalice thanked.

Just then, Gwen used the spirit element to raise rocks in the air then used the light element and brightened a section of the arena.

"Perfect! Now, onto the final element: Dark!" The Devil said excitedly.

Having a plan, Gwen used the dark element to cast total darkness over most of the arena including the Devil.

"Hey! Don't cover me in darkness!" The Devil yelled.

Gwen quickly takes silver bracelet back then she took the Devil's pitchfork and threw it far away from him. Then, she makes a run for it to the cups, Rose and Clarence.

"Guys! You came!" Gwen whispered.

"Shh! Nice trick with the dark element! Now, let's go!" Rose whispered.

"But what about the guards and Henchman?" Gwen asked.

"Taken care of." All three cups said smugly.

"Oh, I love you guys so much." Gwen said and hugged them.

"Now!" Rose scolded.

"Oh, right!" Gwen said.

"We gotta hurry! It'll be a matter of time before the darkness wears off and the Devil catches us!" Clarence said.

The group start to make a run for it.

"Wait! Just for a little extra measure." Gwen said, getting an idea.

Gwen went back towards the arena and used the earth element to make an earthquake. Realizing what she was doing, Rose raised the ink pen and helped make a landslide, trapping the Devil inside the arena.

"Wow, you can use the inkwell now?" Gwen asked in shock.

"Yeah, a power flowed through me then I remember what you said and did what you did, and it worked." Rose explained.

Rose took the magic inkwell off her belt and gave the magical items back to Gwen.

"But magic's more your thing so I'll leave it at that." Rose said.

Gwen put the magic inkwell and ink pen back on her belt when she remembered the silver bracelet and gave it to Rose.

"Rose, I'm so sorry. I know I promised you not to take it off but he…" Gwen tried to apologize until Rose placed a finger on her lips, shushing her.

"Gwen, you kept your promise. I know you didn't take it off, the Devil did. You have nothing to be sorry for." Rose assured her as she clicked the bracelet back on her left wrist.

Both girls hugged each other. Then, Gwen hugged Clarence.

"I'm so sorry Clarence. I couldn't let him kill you..." Gwen apologized until Clarence cut her off.

"Gwen, none of this is your fault. So, stop blaming yourself for all of this." Clarence said.

Gwen sighed, feeling relieved nobody blamed her and then kissed him.

"Okay, okay. Everyone said they don't blame you Gwen, but can we go home now before the Devil finds his pitchfork and breaks loose?" Mugman asked impatiently.

"With pleasure Mugsy." Gwen said happily.

Gwen tapped her ink pen and teleported back to the cottage safe and sound.

"Boy, I'm glad that's over! Let's go back to bed." Cuphead said feeling tired.

"Me too, I'm gonna head home and hit the sack. Let's go handsome." Ms. Chalice said yawning.

"Okay Chalice. I'm coming." Clarence said.

Gwen and Clarence say good night and both he and Chalice headed back to his apartment.

"Rose how did you…?" Gwen was about to ask until Rose cut her off.

"Cuphead found that letter from the Devil in the bathroom and grabbed Mugman and they both came to me and showed me the letter. I quickly headed to the cottage when Ms. Chalice showed up, informing me Clarence was missing too. So, we all headed to the secret staircase up on the cliff we found on our hiking trip before and snuck our way into Hell quietly. And well, you know the rest." Rose explained.

Gwen smiled and hugged Rose.

"Thank you, sis. You guys saved me again." Gwen thanked.

"That's what we're here for." Rose said.

They both said goodnight and Rose returned to her family in the human world.

Gwen went upstairs and got ready for bed. She put her invisible sweater on and peacefully went to sleep, knowing she kept the Devil off her back for a while.

The next day, Clarence goes to the movie studio to read the script and prepared to start working in showbusiness knowing he has Gwen and her family's full support while Gwen adapts to her new powers and keeping the bracelet on to keep them under control.
