Prequal Eraserhead and Starfire Part 2
Megan Pov.
I arrived too late.
I was able to find the spacecraft at the local dump called Takoba Municipal Beach. However, I wasn't the first one to rescue the pilot. There is a man that arrived first and spotted the alien.
Poor Guy, he would be so confused once he made contact with the pilot. Surely the information is running too much for his brain to understand, or he does understand and plans to expose the existence of aliens to the media.
I have to prevent him in case he does either of those two scenarios to happen. When I flew closer to see who the civilian was, he caught me off guard to learn that he wasn't some random civilian, but a Pro Hero. Not just any Pro Hero, but my colleague at UA. Shota Aizawa. The same guy I bumped into me at the hallway. No wonder he didn't run the other way from danger. He ran towards the danger because it's his job as a Pro Hero.
At times like these he would have called for back up from the 9-1-1 operator. To call for backup, He would have to report to the dispatcher for a plane crash. Such as a report like that it would bring out tons more Pro Hero and the media.
I need help, I need to report back to my agency. "This is Miss M. reporting. This is a code P.H. and this is a level orange in the danger level, it's hot and boiling."
I heard a familiar voice at the other side, and it belonged to my partner. "Agent Morse, this is Agent Danvers, we heard you loud and clear. How bad is the situation, Is it All Might? Did the Symbol of Peace discover the alien?"
I shook my head. "No it isn't All Might, Endeavor or Best Jeanist. He is actually a UA staff member and an underground hero." I sighed towards what I was about to say next. "He is my colleague… Well, my Earthly cover's co-worker."
I hear heavy keyboard clicking on the other side of the communication comlink, it's not sounding good. "M'Gann, we just received a report that your UA colleague just called 9-1-1 and our agents are driving to the scene as fast as they can. You might have to mind wipe your fellow teacher."
Alex has a point, it is protocol even despite his heroic status and the fact that he is my UA colleague it isn't an excuse for him to go scott free, but perhaps Aizawa hasn't connected the dots yet. That the pilot isn't from Earth. He might have believed that the pilot and his ship were from Ferris Aircraft. I probably have an idea that would not require to wipe his mind. "Alex, wait." I know what I had in mind is breaking DEO protocol, but I'm a Hero too, but maybe I can convince Aizawa that the pilot is Human." I turned on the binoculars from my ear piece as the nanobots took the form that I wanted, and by looking through the binoculars the pilot was Human looking.
"M'Gann, it's Protocol you have too—"
"I know, but please the pilot is human looking. Perhaps I can convince my colleague that he is human. Please, let me just try before I engage in a protocol Identity crisis. If I manage to convince him that the pilot is human, Then there wouldn't be the need for the the protocol. Please Alex, just this once."
I can here Alex's disapproval sigh at the other end. "M'Gann. You have one chance. Don't fuck it up and make it quick."
If I have the superpower to hug Alex right now I would. "I promise won't let you down."
"I'M SERIOUS M'GANN! Don't fuck this up. Fucking up don't just mean losing your job, but it can also unleash the secret about aliens to the world."
I kept that in my mind, and worrying about it can just be pushed aside for now. Time is ticking, either any of the 9-1-1 comes to the scene, or Alex and D.E.O agents come to the scene. I have at least 10 minutes before either group. I shapeshifted into my civilian form and civilian clothing.
I flew down while in camouflage mode to get closer to the scene and to make sure no other prying eyes could see me. When I landed it was time to wear the mask of a concerned civilian who spotted the scene and act that I just saw everything like it was the first time.
Here I go. "Aizawa, Oh my god!"
He turned around and he was helping the pilot stand up, and the pilot was covering his wound. I gulped when I saw his silver blood. I have a feeling seeing his silver blood would make Aizawa think the pilot isn't human.
"Morse, you're here too, why?"
"I'm a Hero too, Aizawa." I moved some of the garbage away using my telekinesis to give some room for them to walk. "Please let me help. Let me check if he's hurt anywhere. Lie him down on the ground. So I can do a check-up."
He rose a brow, "You know how to do a medical check up?" He asked me as he laid the pilot down.
I nodded. "Yeah, it was mandatory EMT training for Hero schools in America." I lied, the EMT training is true, but it wasn't for Hero Schools, but from the D.E.O., but I can also use this time to convince Aizawa that the pilot is human.
I turn my attention to the pilot. "Sir, I'm going to check for your injuries, you understand?" I'm just hoping he has a universal translator.
There were mumble noises from the pilot, I'll just take that as a yes. "Aizawa, hand me your smart phone, and turn on its flashlight mode." He handed me his phone as I checked the pilot's eyes.
His eyes were normal and not bloodshot. I ran down my hand to his neck and I saw no swelling, or bleeding. The pilot's Extraterrestrial biology must be more durable than Human-Earthlings. That, or his natural healing factor runs faster than the average Earthling or Martian.
When I went down to his waist, there was bleeding. It just happened to be that his blood wasn't red, but rather silver. This is troublesome, Aizawa clearly saw the blood and his clothes are covered in silver blood, but I can convince him it isn't silver, but rather it's red. Looking around at my surroundings, the closest light source at this dump was the fire from the spacecraft, making the tint of the colors we see with our eyes being much redder than white from a light bulb.
It wouldn't be hard to convince Aizawa that the blood is red, especially with the help of my telepathy. I can conjure a mental image of the blood that he is covered in, is red. "Hey Aizawa, can you come closer?" he came closer and I showed him the injury of the pilot. "You see that cut, it looks like there is scrap metal that pierces his right side. Best guess it would have pierced his gallbladder, or between it and his liver."
"Uh?"
"What is it, Aizawa?" I asked.
"I swear, I thought I saw his blood was silver, but looking at it now it's red."
Of course you now see the blood is red, I'm telepathically conjuring a false image. I'm making him think he is seeing red blood, rather than silver. I have to convince him that this pilot is human. "Silver blood, did you hit your head, or something?"
"No, I swear I saw red, my clothes were covered by his blood." he gestures to his bloody shirt.
"Check again." Aizawa did, and he looked confused. My telepathic projector is working, talking to him like he is a dummy, helping it make him self-doubt on what he saw. "Aizawa, I don't see silver blood, just red. The current source of light that is close to us is the fire coming from the…" I gesture to the burning spacecraft. "... The fighter jet…"
"I swear I saw silver," he said.
"You were probably seeing things due to the adrenaline rush, it isn't every day Pro Heroes save the life of a Ferris Aircraft pilot."
"Ferris Aircraft?" Aizawa check the spacecraft again. I made a second mind projection of the Ferris Aircraft logo which the company calls it the sapphire star. I pointed at the star. "See that violet star, that's an official logo from Ferris Aircrafts, it must be one of their prototypes." Even now that I'm projecting the mental illusion of red blood and the violet star. I can tell what he is thinking. He is convinced what he is seeing is real. Red Blood, and the spacecraft is a fighter jet.
The question is now, and I know he is thinking of the same thing. What caused the pilot to crash land? I know I'm aiding the alien, but he also holds information. Was the crash caused by malfunction… or by something else?
To Aizawa this man is just an Earthling-Human pilot now, but to me and to the DEO he is an alien, and a spacecraft traveling to space and having a random malfunction does happened, but that mostly 2 out of 98 chance it was a malfunction, I know this because I'm from Mars, and I know many aliens who aren't from Mars, and many of their ships got malfunction due to an attack, and I believe that this pilot is one of them.
I just noticed the pilot was staring at me, if I have to guess, he overheard what I said about his blood not being silver, even though it is in reality, outside of Aizawa's point of view. I cannot use telepathy on him to read his mind, assuming he is familiar with the Mind Touch of other telepaths.
The pilot tries to speak, but he is having trouble speaking, assuming it has to do with injury, I should continue to aid him as part of my EMT training.
"Hi, I'm Miss M. Do you know who you are and where you are?" I asked him.
There was heavy breathing coming from the pilot. He reached down to the collar of his neck and pressed a button.
Universal translator activate, Konbanwa, Bonne Soiree, Buenas Noches, Magandag Gabi, Good Evening, which planetary language do you prefer?
Thank goodness this pilot has a universal translator, I should reply. "English is fine, please tell me who you are?" I asked him.
Before he could, Aizawa responded. "Is he talking, thank goodness. Sir, you had a terrible accident. I was able to rescue you from the wreckage." He said.
I continue for him. "Once again, I'm Miss M. and this is Eraserhead. We're Pro Heroes here to rescue you. Please tell us you're name?
Before the pilot could, Aizawa answered for him. "His name is Val-Yor. He told me his name when I came to rescue him, Miss M. What are the injuries that he has?"
"Sure thing." I nodded. "When his… Jet crush, A metal debris stabbed his right side, and unless I have X-ray vision, I cannot tell which part of his body got stabbed, either it was his gallbladder, liver, or even in between."
Aizawa nodded. "What about his neck and waist?"
I gulped. I wasn't sure how to explain to Aizawa that his neck and waist are fine, if he were human he would have either a neck injury or be paralyzed from the waist down, but before I could respond, the pilot spoke. "My neck and waist are fine, a bruise but I'm going to be fine. I've been in tough battles and endured more grimace pain than this." He tried standing up but the pain still stings on his side, as he falls back. "You." he pointed at me, "Female, on my ship there is first aid, I need your help to stop the bleeding."
I nodded to him that I'll get his first aid kit, first I entrusted Aizawa to cover his wound, found for him to stop bleeding, and figured out how Val-Yor's first aid kit would work. Surely his alien first aid must have accelerating medicine, or something useful to aid him.
I was able to find the kit and once I opened the kit I was not particularly surprised to see it was a particularly strange aid kit. It was nothing like the first aid kit from Earth, or from M'arzz. I was able to find an instruction label but I couldn't decipher this language. I could learn his language, but that would require me to read Val-Yor's mind, would be risky. There is a chance he is familiar with other telepaths from other planets who let others roam his mind, if that was the case, that would mean he would know what it is like to have a foreign mind to touch his mind.
My mind touch abilities are more superior than Quirked-Humans. To them telepathy would be just reading others' minds, or giving telepathic messages, but Mind Touch is a more superior version of telepathy. It isn't just simply reading someone's mind, but exploring their mind and
entering every room that holds, every secret that the person wants to hide, will be open by me, it's the ultimate interrogation done by force. That can lead to physical damage if I wasn't careful.
So using mind touch towards Val-Yor is off limits.
For me to bandage his wound, we have to communicate, as for Aizawa, I would just telepathically mask our conversation. To him, he would think Val-yor and I are just having a casual conversation, but in reality I would be talking to another alien.
So here goes nothing. "Val-yor, you may want to help me with your first aid kit, because I'm not familiar with your alien kit."
Val-yor smirked. "So you're ready to talk. I have noticed you have been lying to your partner, Keezy-Fem. You kept telling me that my blood is red, and that my spacecraft is a, what you call, 'a fighter jet', but we both know that's not true." he chuckled. "If I have to guess you're a telepath and you've been masking the truth with telepathing masking. That meant one thing. You know I'm not from this Mudball planet, but your Human friend doesn't know"
I nodded to confirm and he just chuckled. "Priceless, I have been to many bars from different parts of the galaxy. I was told many stories that there are planets out there that believe there is no life outside of their planet, and this Mudball happens to be one of them, hilarious."
Well, he put himself at the top of the food chain, thinking he is high and mighty.
He coughs. "We're talking to each other out loud, I thought you would be worried for him to know about intergalactic conversation," said Vay-lor.
"I'm not worried, I masked our conversation. He thinks I'm casually talking to you, making jokes to ease your pain, and conversation about sports that are a fan of, like this year's WrestleMania, you said that you're excited to see John Cena's final appearance in the ring." I said, but I have to return to business "Enough with that, I need you to help me with you're first aid kit, I have no clue on how your kit works."
Val-Yor started to cough up blood, this isn't good. "You don't have to mess around with my kit, there is a blue pill on my kit, it is as big as a thumb, you can find it in a box."
I looked around his med kit, among all the junk, I was able to find the box he mentioned. "I found it." Once I opened the box, there were 3 blue pills.
'How useful are tease pills?' I wondered.
"Good, just grab one. One would be enough." Val-Yor instructed. "This planet is a mudball, wouldn't that mean it contains water, correct?" I nodded to confirm that there is water on this planet. "Good, use the lid of the box as a make-shift bowl and place the pill on the bowl. Then add water, it will dissolve making it drinkable for me."
I nodded and turned to Aizawa. I read his mind earlier, recalling he does carry a reusable water bottle. "Eraserhead, I need your water bottle."
He handed it to me. "Why do you need it?" he asked.
"Val-yor mention that this pill requires water to activate it." Aizawa and I are confused about what was so important about this blue pill, is it like alien advil?
Val-yor coughed. "The pill is called Agua Bendita, it has extreme healing properties from the planet I worked for. Just add water and I can just drink it."
I hesitated pouring water on the pill, but if Val-Yor says it can save his life then I cannot deny him. Once the pill dissolved, I handed him the bowl and he drank it.
I got scared when he dropped the bowl, as his blood veins became visible as it was starting to glow. Aizawa and I took a step back, we weren't sure what exactly we just gave him. It better not be alien cyanide. I ran towards Val-Yor and saw that his breathing was heavy and his eyes were teary, and reddish.
I went to look over the first aid again and find something that could help him, but Val-Yor reached over to my hand to stop me just to see that the glowing stop. His breathing was back to normal, his eyes weren't red anymore, and more importantly. The wound from his right side was gone, it was like his body regenerated extremely fast, and it was covered with a visible new scar.
'Like what the hell did we just drink?'
Aizawa got closer, he was shocked to see that his wound was gone. "Jesus Christ his wound is gone and it's replaced with a scar. I haven't seen healing like that outside the Old Lady," he said.
'Wait, Old Lady, does he mean Recovery Girl?'
During my tour with Nezu earlier, I met all the staff members, including Chiyo. We had the casual small talk, like her plans before the new student applicants that will be arriving in April, and the upcoming weekend. Then it was time to break the ice, we talked about our careers and our quirks.
As a Martian, I don't have a quirk, my Martian physiology isn't quirks. Every martian can do what I can, like telepathy, telekinesis, and others. It was no different from a Human-Earthling to learn to walk and speak. However, to keep my Earthling identity I wrote my 'quirk' as telekinesis. To this planet, the noticeable and the flashy quirks would place their full attention over that power alone. Which is good for my undercover identity of Megan, but for M'Gann, my telepathic aspect, it's hidden. People wouldn't expect Megan to read minds, and I have to keep it that way for Aizawa and the rest of the UA staff.
When it comes to Chiyo, she talked about her quirk. It was healing but it comes with a price. Chiyo's Quirk allows her to amplify and speed up the human body's natural healing process by planting a kiss on the injured person. The process, however, is fueled by a large amount of life energy that comes from the recipient and could potentially drain enough energy to kill said recipient.
What Aizawa and I just witnessed was similar to Chiyo's quirk, but I doubt that it doesn't drain the patient's energy, like how Chiyo's quirk works, but rather heals the body instantly, but in a painful process. Recalling Val-Yor's breathing and his eyes were teary red.
That however is my hypothesis for now. Maybe if I gave the two reminding pills to my sister, M'Ree she could figure it out. She is the head of medical science back at the D.E.O.
Speaking of, I can hear their radio signal from my earpiece, they're letting me know that they're near and I have to be on high alert in case other heroes come.
"Red Planet."
That was Alex on my radio. Red Planet was our code meant for me. It meant she wanted to talk, but I could not just leave Aizawa and Val-Yor. It would look suspicious unless I had to telepathically mask them both to make them think that I was quiet during their conversation while I talked to Alex out loud.
I don't see what could go wrong. Val-Yor knows I'm a telepath, and as long as I kept Aizawa believing that Val-Yor is Human, I can make a second mask for me to talk to Alex on the com-link.
I used my powers to link both of Val-Yor and Aizawa's minds. I conjure a new projection of another Me, a Megan who is quiet and listening to their conversation, while I move back a bit to talk to Alex. "This is Red Planet, speaking to Smallville, This is Agent Morse talking, and I made contact with the alien."
"That is good news, Agent Morse." Said Alex. "Is the Pro Hero still with you Agent Morse."
I sigh. "Yes, Eraserhead is still with me and hasn't left ever since. He is the one who spotted the injured Alien even before I arrived. However due to the alien's physical appearance I was able to convince him that the Alien, Val-Yor, was human, by using my Telepathic masking."
"So the Hero is convinced that the alien is Human. That is impressive and very risky. Do you believe the situation doesn't require Protocol Identity Crisis?" Asked Alex.
To modify his memories, or to erase them. "Right now… I don't think so. When I masked Aizawa's mind of believing Val-Yor's blood and his spacecraft thinking they were red blood and a fighter jet, I was able to read his mind and he is convinced that Val-Yor is a Ferris Aircraft pilot."
I could hear Alex sighing. "Another false story that the spacecraft crash landed on Japanese soil is a Prototype fighter jet pilot, another bribe for the D.E.O has to pay Carl Ferris to help convince the media this isn't a UFO crash site." She sighs. "I can worry about the bribe for later. Anyways, I am here to let you know we'll be arriving at your site soon, around 2 minutes max. The 9-1-1 dispatch that Eraserhead contacted will not be coming. The D.E.O. agent assigned to be an undercover dispatch employee made sure they sent the 9-1-1 response unit to another emergency. Emergencies are happening every day, it wasn't hard to send the response unit somewhere else. Our only problem left is your UA High Co-worker. Last chance M'Gann, are you positive he wouldn't think that the pilot is an alien?!"
I sigh, giving my time to think. The mask is working, Aizawa 100 percent believes that the pilot is human. The only loose end was the medicine that Val-Yor drank that caused his blood veins to glow for a couple of seconds. I could make him think that the glow was not the cause of the medicine but rather it was Val-Yor's quirk, and I can make Val-Yor play along to keep the charade going.
However, in case convincing doesn't work, then and only then I would use Protocol Identity Crisis. He'll forget what happened tonight, and his memories will be mortified, making believe his patrol tonight as Eraserhead was a complete bust, and to drink his sorrows away by drinking at a bar. Hence the headache that mind wiping causes when he wakes up.
He will never remember Val-Yor and what happened tonight. It would just be a hangover in the morning, but for now. We don't need to use protocol identity crisis. I can hatch up a plan when the field agents come in. There is a D.E.O EMT team. Aizawa would just think that Val-Yor is heading to a hospital and he would continue his patrol like usual.
As shit stained shirts I can make him change shirts. I am a telepath after all, mind control is part of the gig, it works like the Jedi mind trick.
"No Alex, protocol Identity Crisis is not needed. I can handle this."
Alex sighs again. "Fine, I hope you know what you're M'Gann. Smallville out." She ended the call. Now I should bring both Aizawa out from this dump and back to the streets. Val-Yor would be taken by Alex and the field agents. While I'll handle Aizawa.
"Hey Val-Yor and Eraserhead, I was contacted by the ambulance that just arrived. Eraserhead, let's get our pilot out of this dump and get him medical treatment at a hospital." I said in a cheerful tone.
Aizawa nodded. "You have a good point Miss M. It's our job as Heroes to bring the victim to the EMT for—" He paused and his eyes widened in shock. "What the hell are those things coming at us!"
I turned around and got my eyes wide open, too unsure what was flying directly at us. "What the hell?"
Val-Yor gowled. "Squids."
Alex Danvers P.O.V
A few moments ago.
"No Alex, protocol Identity Crisis is not needed. I can handle this." said M'Gann at her comlinks.
I sigh deeply, I have a feeling things can go wrong, but I have faith on my partner. "Fine, I hope you know what you're M'Gann. Smallville out." I ended the call in frustration.
My team and I headed to M'Gann's site where she spotted the alien and the Pro Hero known as Eraserhead.
With me is M'Gann's younger brother, M'Comm, or in this case his human identity of Malcolm Morse, He is currently the pilot for Bioship. "How much longer M'Comm. before we reach your sister?"
M'Comm snorted. "About a minute according to Bioship. She wants to make sure she is heading the right way. Musutafu isn't like Smallville or Metropolis. She is familiar with the area, yet it isn't like she has connected to a GPS or Google." Bioship agrees with M'Comm making beeping noises, her equivalent towards barking.
Bioship transforms herself into a black helicopter, representing more of a police copter than a spacecraft. "Bioship said, She spotted my sister, the Pro Hero, and she described the alien with silver skin," M'Comm explained. "The field agents also reached the site too." M'Comm started to shapeshift himself from a four-armed white martian into an African American man around the age of 25 and 30, with purple-dyed braided hair. He is also wearing our disguise of the Japanese Police uniform, "All set Alex, on your command. We can approach the trio."
I nodded to Malcolm. "Alright on the count of 3, Field agents, you'll take the role of EMT units, team two gather the spacecraft and take it to HQ. We want to know about his spacecraft. Team 3, your roles are police officers, I want crime scene tape around the area, make sure no civilian or Pro Hero can enter. We don't want non-D.E.O agents to see the spacecraft. Furthermore—" I was interrupted by Bioship as she let out a huge alert. "Malcolm, what is it?"
I turned to Malcolm, who is communicating with Bioship. "She sensed and several UFOs had entered the Earth's atmosphere!"
Bioship shapeshifted a TV screen for us to see what she was seeing. Malcolm and I shared a look of disbelief at what we were seeing. "Malcolm, please don't tell me you ordered Ika Yaki at Uber Eats again, because those three robotic squids are not even cooked." Jokes aside, those three squids are headed to Malcolm's sister. "It's heading to Megan, why is that?"
"I don't think those squids are heading to M'Gann, I think it's heading to the silver Alien," said Malcolm. "Alex, you need to alert my sister now!"
I nodded and grabbed the headset to alert M'Gann, but before I had the chance to even push the talk button. M'Gann flew away.
She however, didn't fly alone.
Malcolm and I have our jaws dropped. "Did my sister just fly away, and take both The Pro Hero and the Alien with her?!"
I was surprised as he was. "Yes Malcolm, she fucking did."
Aizawa's Pov.
I was screaming from the top of my lungs as I was being carried off the ground by Megan Morse. She's using her quirk to levitate Val-Yor and I as we're being chased by three pink robotic squids, and I wasn't sure what would be more scary, being attacked by those squids chasing us, or if Megan loses her grip from levitating me and sending me down to my doom.
Oddly enough, I rather take my chances with the squids, than being levitated by Megan. It feels like I'm a toy airplane, and Megan is the child flying me around with her imagination and her hand.
"Morse!" I called out for her. "Where are you taking us!"
"Where else, away from them!" She pointed at the squids. "I'm telekinetic, I need projectiles to fight those."
She continues to fly, and we reach the city. We were so high up, I don't expect any civilian to be able to see any of us, which begs the question.
"What are those Squids, and why are they after us?!" I shouted.
"I don't know, I never saw those before!" She shouted back.
"There from the Centauri Empire."
"THE WHAT NOW!" we both turn to Val-Yor.
"Those squids were sent from the Centauri Empire, a tyrannical empire very well known for their Moon Diamonds. They have been an enemy of the empire that I work for, The Citadel empire. They took victory from us after the war. Centauri allied themselves with the Troq planet, Tamaran. Their princess Koriand'r was the one who attacked my spacecraft and crash landed on the beach." Val-Yor explained and turned to us. "That's how I ended up meeting both of you, Eraserhead and Miss M."
I didn't understand what he meant about empires and planets, but one thing that I understood was what caused his fighter jet to crash, it wasn't done by malfunctions.
It was down by a villain and by the sounds of it, 'She' has a powerful quirk to cause a fighter jet to crash land.. More importantly, we got a name, Princess Koriand'r.
"Val-Yor, I promise you, Miss M., and I will do our best to capture this rogue Princess, but for now you must help us. How do we get rid of these Squids?!"
I waited for a moment. It seems Val-Yor may know how. "It wouldn't be easy. That would be great unless the two of you carry explosions or can conjure explosions." Val-yor explained.
"I'm afraid neither of us have that ability." I nodded to agree with Morse. My eyes don't turn things I stare at explode, and Morse is telekinetic, but I do have an idea that could help us.
"Why don't we make an explosion?" I suggested.
"What do you mean Eraser?"
"I'll tell you my plan, but Morse, how fast can you fly us out of a city?" I asked.
"Not as fast as Hawks, but manageable. Where are we headed to?"
I know my plan is risky, but if a makeshift explosion is needed then the risk is worth it. "We're heading to a gasoline station."
Alex POV.
Malcolm and I are following M'Gann and her groupies, and according to my phone they're heading out of the city and heading to a gasoline station.
"I was able to connect to my sister via a mind link," Malcolm said. "She mentions her partner, Eraserhead, has a plan that is why they're heading away from the city."
I was able to connect the dots. "They're outside the city where there are fewer civilians," I said as I turned my communications to the field agents. They need help.
(
Aizawa's Pov.
We landed at the Gasoline station outside the city, which normally would have been packed with customers. Surprisingly, the road is close, but I was surprised that there were no employees nearby.
It seems like they knew the three of us were heading to this station, but that part doesn't matter right now. Those three robotic squids are heading this way, and it wouldn't be long until they arrive at are site.
Morse got herself in position according to my plan she is hide nearby, and the squids are after Val-Yor, he'll be the bait to lure them in. I just need something that the convenience store carries by the cashier.
Most gas stations outside the city would have plenty of shady customers like motorcycle gangs, kidnappers, and illegal drug cartels. When trouble boils, the cashier has the right to carry firearms, being far away from the city. There wouldn't be any Pro Heroes nearby, even if the police were the first responder, it would take a while for the police to come. So self-defense by firearms would be allowed.
I was able to find the cashier desk and open the cabinet. "Let's see what they have, chewing gum, a phone charger, a fidget spinner, the same gay porno magazine issue of yaoi blond men that I found at Hitoshi's room, and I'm not yet ready to discuss about sex with him, a couple of condoms, and holy smokes is that their gun?!"
I was expecting a revolver like Snipe carries, but this is a Shotgun and according to the manual it's a Boito Pump Action Shotgun, and this bad boy has the caliber of 12 bullets. The shocking thing is, this is loaded. Useful in case my plan backfires.
"Aizawa, come out they're here!"
"I'm on my way!" I shouted replying to Morse.
I stepped out of the convenience store, and I spotted the squid from the sky heading to Val-Yor, and he was waving at them, getting their attention. "Over here you sons of bitches." The squids flew faster as Val-Yor started running towards me like I planned.
I aim the shotgun towards the gas pump, waiting for the squids to get closer for the explosion radius to reach them, but all of a sudden. They notice what we were planning as they run to a new direction, more towards the left. However, that's exactly how we want things to go, because they're heading closer to Miss. M, and that is when she used her telekinesis on them. Pushing them towards the gas pump with her mind.
As they got closer I fired my shot. "Die, you son of a –" There was a huge explosion when the gas pump exploded, including anything near the radius getting burned too.
By the distance one of the robotic squids blew up into pieces, their tentacles were scattered all around the ground. Only the pink head was in one piece. I shot the head with the shotgun for good measures in case it was still functioning.
Val-Yar patted my shoulder. "Nice shooting, I would have done better if I had a rifle blaster myself." He said, I still have no clue on what he meant when he said Blaster. Val-Yor's tone turned deeper and more serious as he spoke. "Sadly we only took two of the squids, but not all three." He pointed to the sky and I saw what he was pointing at.
One of the squid was unharmed, and from its far distance it was nowhere near the explosion radius. Now it just hovers in the sky. It was like it was staring right at us.
Or it's studying us.
Where his two buddies had failed. We have to prepare in case this Squid has a new attack plan. However, it didn't attack and fled. It meant two possible things. It either gave up, or it's planning to bring more friends to capture Val-Yor. He did say the Squids belong to a group known as the Centauri. Next time they may not send robotic squids, but rather themselves. We have to be careful.
"This has been a long night, but it's still young. It cannot get any worse." I muttered.
It felt like the universe was taunting me as I heard screaming from Megan.
"Over There by the fire! She's in danger." Val-yor rushed in, while I got the fire extinguisher inside the store.
Once I got it, I ran as fast as I could and sprayed the fire extinguisher on Megan. Apparently when the gas pump exploded, the second squid flew towards Megan, squishing her in the process.
My heart rate was racing. I wouldn't let her die, she won't end up like Oboro Shirakumo, not again. I was able to extinguish the flames, but the weight of the damn robot is squishing her. "Val-Yor GET THAT SQUID OFF HER!" I shouted at him.
The man was able to easily lift the squid tentacle away from Megan's torso. I was surprised, I thought Val-Yor's quirk was a healing factor, I recall his blood vessels were glowing, and it even healed his punctured right side. But he lifted that tentacle like it was light as a feather and they looked like they weighed over a hundred pounds at the very least.
I went down to my knees to check on Megan. I wanted to know if the impact of the squid caused any injuries or any burns from the fire. It was when I brushed off the extinguish foam that I almost dropped her head from surprise.
Her dark olive skin was replaced with eggshell colored skin. Her violet braids were gone and replaced with a bald head, and her hazel eyes with white sclera were now purely red sclera, Lastly, she has four arms instead of two.
I even looked down towards my black shirt that was covered in blood. However, it was no longer red, but rather it was silver.
'Aizawa, it's okay it's me, Megan Morse.'
That came to the creature, but she didn't even speak, it sounded like her voice echoed from my head. "What the hell are you? Who are you, Megan Morse?!" I shouted to her.
'They can explain.'
""They?" I shouted in confusion. "They Who?!"
"She meant us." Val-Yor and I turn around to see there was a helicopter hovering above us, and there was a red-headed woman in a bob cut in a black bodysuit, and next to him was a young African American man with violet dreadlocks in the same bodysuit as the woman.
Before Val-yor and I reacted more and more, Men in black came in pointing rifles at us. I told Val-Yor not to attack, I want to know what the woman has to say.
"My name is Alex Danvers and with me is your co-worker's little brother, M'Comm M'orzz. I'm the acting director of the Department of Extranormal Operations, known as the D.E.O, if you come with us. We can tell you more about your Pilot, and the truth of your new UA employee, Megan Morse."
I do want to know more, like why Val-Yor's blood was silver, was his fighter jet even a jet, what were those pink robotic squids, and why my partner now all suddenly have four arms and eggshell colored skin.
A part of me wishes that tonight was different. I should have gone to the movies with Hitoshi and his friends, or shown Joyce how much I love her by making love to her all night long. However, being in the Pro Hero life meant there were no takies backies. Every hero has to learn the same damn lesson as Alice had when she fell into Wonderland. That time only goes forwards, not back.
Tonight this Rabbit Hole just got bigger than I imagined as I gave her my answer.
"It's not like I have a choice."
Meanwhile outside Earth's Atmosphere.
The sole survivor of the robotic squids has returned to its spacecraft, and inside were 3 warriors in red heavily packed armors.
One of the soldiers counted that among the three robotic squids that they sent out, only one returned. "Centauri Sergeant, Kai-Rhan, it seems like two of the squids didn't return. However, the last one survived. Do you want me to send two more with the sole survivor?" asks the warrior.
The Sergeant only shook his head. "No, gather information about the squid's recorded memories. We want to learn who is capable of destroying Centaurian droids, and why they're aiding scum like Val-Yor." He said. "What we learned is that the allied princess has destroyed Val-Yor's Spacecraft, and it isn't like He would be escaping anytime soon." He placed a finger on his chin. "I have to admit, according to intergalactic intel the technology of this Mudball planet is no threat. We heard they're technology's focus more on their prize and beloved endless creations known as the Selfie. We were wrong, their selfies aren't threats to us, but their adaptation to create solutions to fight back worries us, also." He pulls out a video projector that shows videos of costume men and women with abnormal abilities, including their most recent demonstration of an African American woman with violet braids levitating Val-Yor, The male in black, and herself off the ground." Their abilities, which this planet dubbed them as quirks, can be a trouble for us. Especially if we don't play smart."
The other warrior went and asked his sergeant. "Then what's our plan then?"
The Sergeant only chuckled. "The next time that Val-Yor comes out from hiding with his two imbeciles. We're not just sending more squids, we'll be joining them."
End of Chapter.
Next Chapter: Eraserhead and Starfire part 3
To be continued.
Til Next Time, Mabuhay.
This was so much fun to write, I love the EMT training that I added, things I learn from watching Fox's 9-1-1 series that I've been streaming on Disney Plus.
If you guys are wondering what is with M'gann M'orzz's White Martian form. I got the idea from DC's Absolute Power version of Miss Martian. She has four arms and red eyes.
You may also recognize Miss Martian's younger brother M'Comm who is Ma'alefa'ak, at the Young Justice streaming series. He is an agent of the D.E.O in this version. No, he is not a villain in this one. I have no plans for the villain Ma'alefa'ak. In the comics, the character is J'onn J'onzz's brother of the same name. I know that M'comm has a history of discrimination towards being a white martian and hates the greens for it, but in this adaptation, He doesn't have that background. For his human name of Malcolm, if you say his name M'comm out loud it does sound like the name Malcolm.
Many of you may also recognize Alex Danvers from the ABC's Supergirl series, being Supergirl's adopted sister. Her role is the same; currently she is just the acting director of the D.E.O, the main Director will arrive shortly, and if you've seen the ABC series, you may know who it is.
I want to say that plenty of this chapter's inspiration is from the Teen Titan TV series, season 1, episode 2, titled Sisters. That is why we see the Cetaurian warriors and their robotic squids.
In the next chapter, Aizawa is going to learn a lot about the DEO and Aliens, meanwhile we get to see what Princess Koriand'r has been doing since she arrived on the planet.
For til Next time Mabuhay.
