"This looks good.", Akemi said as she smiled at the clothing store across, pointing at an outfit, "What do you think, Mary-Obasaan?".
Mary, on the other hand, was staring at the same clothing store, but her mind was occupied with Masumi. She still had no apologized to her, for she did not know how to apologize. She was indeed worried about this whole Bakugan matter, and she did not want Masumi to get hurt.
Shuichi had not responded to her texts when she contacted him nor did Shukichi, and no one knew where Tsutomu is or if he even is still alive, all she had was Masumi, and now her with Akemi and Shiho.
"Mary-Obasaan!", Akemi called once more, snapping Mary out of her thinking, and the woman looked at her.
"Pardon me, where you saying something?", Mary asked.
"She has been calling you for the last two minutes.", Aerogan said from where he stood on Akemi's right shoulder.
"I was thinking about Masumi… and about this whole Bakugan thing.", Mary said as she walked away, Akemi following her behind.
"I'm still here you know, and I think you can see me in the broad daylight.", Aerogan pointed out.
Mary remained silent but Akemi said, "How about I show you how Bakugan battles can be entertaining?".
"And how are you going to do that?", Mary asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yo!". Akemi and Mary turned around to see a young man rushing towards the first, and Akemi noticed the Aquos Bakugan on his shoulder.
"Are you a Brawler?", He asked eagerly.
"Why else does she have a Bakugan, Jinpei…", The Aquos Bakugan replied.
"Uhm, yeah. I do play Bakugan.", Akemi nodded.
"Awesome! My friends and I were looking for someone our age to play Bakugan with, 3 v 3, how about you join us?", He asked with a wide smile.
Akemi smiled, seeing that the opportunity came by itself for her to show Mary how great Bakugan is, "Sure!".
"Alright, let's go to the park!".
"Yo guys! I found someone our age to play Bakugan with!", The guy cried as he approached a group of four guys standing next to each other, and one of them Akemi had a feeling that she had seen before.
"You finally did something something right, Jinpei-chan.", The one with shoulder length hair and a Ventus Bakugan mocked before he grabbed Akemi's hand, and kissed the top of it, "Hagiwara Kenji, at your service. And this is my Bakugan Partner; Ventus Jaakor.".
"And he's a womanizer. Oh! I almost forgot to introduce myself; Matsuda Jinpei, and this is my Bakugan Partner; Aquos Radizen.", The first said.
"Date Wataru and this is Subterra Demorc.", The one with a toothpick in his mouth said with a wide smile.
"Morofushi Hiromitsu, but you can call me Hiro, and this is my Bakugan Partner; Pyrus Nobillius.", The one with dark blue eyes said.
And the last one remained silent, as he and Akemi were staring at each other, both wondering when had they seen each other before, which made Mary feel suspicious.
And then it clicked for both of them.
"You… You're Miyano Elena-Sensei's daughter!", He cried in disbelief.
"You're that kid who would get himself injured to see my mother!", Akemi cried.
Her words made the other men laugh at their friend and Matsuda cried, "Geez, you had a crush on a doctor when you were a kid? Are you seriously into older women Zero?!".
"Shut up, Matsuda.", Rei grumbled before he turned to Akemi with a wide smile, "I'm so glad I found you! I entered the Police just to find out what happened to your family! How's Miyano-Sensei?".
Akemi's surprise changed into sadness just as Mary announced her presence by replying coldly, "She was killed 17 years ago with her husband.".
"What?", Rei mumbled in disbelief, and the other men became serious.
"Sounds like a case we can investigate.", Hiro said.
"So, you're police officers then.", Mary said.
"Yeah, and this guy here is Furuya Rei, and his Bakugan partner is Darius Hyenix.", Date replied.
Mary, not wanting to talk about what happened to Elena nor reveal herself and Akemi to the guys, ordered Akemi, "Come on, let's go!".
"Oi! We still haven't asked about what happened 17 years ago.", Matsuda pointed out.
"And there is still the matter of the Bakugan battle.", Hagiwara said.
"How about a deal? If the team the girl is on wins, you two can leave without telling us anything, but if the other team wins, you tell us everything.", Jaakor spoke up.
"I suppose this is a fair deal, and it would be fair if you agreed.", Nobillius said.
"Come on! I'm itching for a brawl!", Demorc said.
"Or are you scared of telling the truth?", Hyenix directed his question at Mary.
Mary turned to them and faced them all with a cold glare, dangerous aura emitting from her as she said, "I fear nothing.".
Her glare and aura sent a shiver down the bodies of everyone including the Bakugan.
"I'll join Akemi-san, that was your name wasn't it?", Furuya said, and Akemi nodded, seeing that there was no use of denying the truth when he already knew.
"I'm behind you wherever you go, Zero.", Hiro said.
"Then it's settled. Hiro, Zero, Akemi are on a team, while I, Date, and Hagiwara on the other.", Matsuda said.
"Watch me, Obasaan. You'll enjoy this, trust me.", Akemi told Mary, who said nothing.
"Field Open!", The six cried as they flipped their field cards, glowing with their Attribute colors.
The park around them changed to the Bakugan field, with Mary's widening as she looked around in disbelief, before she looked at the team in front of her, the team of her eldest niece.
"Gate Card, Set!", The six cried as they threw their Gate Cards.
"Let's do it!", Matsuda cried, as the six picked up their Bakugan partners.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand!", They chorused, as each of their Bakugan landed on their gate cards.
"Pyrus Nobillius!". An orange and red hippogriff-like Bakugan let out a cry as it appeared in red light.
"Aquos Radizen!".
"Haos Aerogan!".
"Subterra Demorc!". A demonic trolls like Bakugan appeared with a battle cry.
"Ventus Jaakor!".
"Darkus Hyenix!". A werehyena-like Bakugan appeared with a howl.
Mary's eyes widened further at the site of the true forms of the Bakugan, was this what her daughter would see during every Battle.

"Ability Activate! Inferno Slam!", Hiro cried.
"Now we're talking!", Nobillius cried as he flew high, his body engulfed with fire, before slamming his body onto the ground, sending a wave of flames at the other team's Bakugan, sending them flying onto the ground.

"You think this is enough?", Date scoffed before he pulled out an Ability card, "Ability Card, Activate! Earth Cannonball!".
"It's pinball time!", Demorc cried as he turned into a ball like an armadillo, before he started jumping around, and attacked the three Bakugan across the team, ricocheting between them like a pinball.

"I hate this goddamn move!", Hyenix cried.
"Then you'll hate this, let's do this, Hagiwara!", Matsuda cried.
"Behind you, Jinpei-chan!", Hagiwara cried as both of them pulled out an Ability card.
"Ability Activate! Fierce Demon – Thunderclap!", Hagiwara cried.
"Ability Activate! Deep Descent!", Matsuda cried.
Jaakor jumped high before he slammed both of his palms, sending a thunder clap down at the three Bakugan.
Radizen had waves form around him before they moved down towards the three Bakugan.
"Let's see which of your Bakugan will be capable of withstanding our triple assault!", Matsuda laughed.
"Ability Activate! Solar Explosion!", Akemi cried.
Aerogan charged himself with light energy before he let out a battle cry, as an explosion occurred fro his body, sending the three Bakugan flying away, but Demorc, who was very close to Aerogan as he was about to hit him again, received most of the blast, and ended up turning into a sphere.

"Ability Activate! Combustion Jaws!", Rei cried as he activated the ability.
Hyenix's jaws glowed purple as smoke came out of his body, before he disappeared in purple light, and reappeared in front of Radizen, biting him in the neck, and causing an explosion, that caused Radizen to return back to his sphere form.
Akemi Miyano, Rei Furuya, & Hiromitsu Morofushi: 2
Wataru Date, Jinpei Matsuda, & Kenji Hagiwara: 0
"Ability Activate! Twin Tornadoes!", Kenji cried as he activated another ability.
Jaakor moved his arms around swiftly, creating two tornadoes that headed towards Aerogan.
"Ability Activate! Inferno Swoop!", Hiromitsu cried as he activated another ability.
Nobillius let out a cry as he flew in the air, his body surrounded by fire, before he swooped down at Jaakor, and once his body slammed into him, a fire explosion happen, all before the tornadoes could reach Aerogan, and Jaakor returned to his sphere form at Hagiwara's feet.

"Zero you idiot! You could've been on the other team and won to find out what you needed to know.", Matsuda pointed out as the field returned back to normal.
"I already knew she would talk to us. She'll need us to help her protect Akemi, one person can't do much alone.", Rei explained his point of view.
"Hey! Did you see what we can do?!", Aerogan cried as he floated towards Mary, "Tell me you had enjoyed our brawl!".
Mary, on the other hand, was thinking about what she had just seen. She knew that she can't separate Masumi from Vladitor, or keep her away from Bakugan, but the best thing to do was have Masumi and Vladitor train, so they can be capable of protecting themselves and each other.
"What is it that you want to know?", Mary asked.
"Wait… my sister isn't answering her phone…", Akemi said worriedly.
Mary turned to her, feeling worry creep up her body, "Call Masumi! She probably knows where she is, and let's go.".
"We're coming with you.", Furuya said, and he and his friends shared a look of determination that told Mary that they will not take no for an answer.
"Fine.", Mary mumbled.
"Masumi sent me the location of their headquarters, let's go!", Akemi cried.
Meanwhile,
The Secondary Vanguard Brawlers were hanging around in their headquarters. Julie was still searching for Billy while Alice was working in her family's café. Masumi, Heiji, and Saguru decided to leave to search for the other primary brawlers, and the three other Brawlers were still with Shun.
And out of nowhere, Masquerade appeared in the middle of the room, and the secondary brawlers gathered around him in disbelief.
"Masquerade! Whatever brought you here you bastard?!", Sonoko cried.
"If you think you can defeat us and send our Bakugan to the doom dimension then you're wrong!", Soshi cried.
Masquerade smirked evils as a dark cloud appeared above him before it spread to the rest of the room, "Your friends defeated me, and I came here to make them pay.".
The brawlers and their Bakugan felt their minds go blank once a dark purple orb appeared in the clouds, and they felt themselves lose control of their own consciousness and self.
And then they felt themselves see a white dragon in their consciousness.
"While the Battle Brawlers will be busy with Hertzon, Lee, Gilbert, O'Charlie, and Santana… Your Vanguard friends will be busy with you. Destroy the Vanguard Brawlers, and send all of their Bakugan to the doom dimension!", Masquerade cried before he let out an evil laugh, and disappeared with the orb.
The Secondary Brawlers remained silent as their eyes glowed gold before they smirked evilly.
It was time to destroy the Battle Vanguard.
