Shun, Shinichi, Ran, Kaito, Runo, Dan, and Marucho walked out of the compound just as Masumi, Heiji, Saguru, and Julie came running towards them.
"We have got a problem! The Battle Vanguard have been mind controlled!", Masumi cried.
"Baaya, Agasa-Hakase, and Jii-san have locked themselves in one of the rooms and have reported that the team all of the sudden turned dark and are trying to break down the doors.", Saguru explained.
"We don' know how, since we left to check on you guys.", Heiji said.
"I even called Akemi and informed her, and she's on her way with my mother and some guys who play Bakugan.", Masumi said.
"I also received a challenge from Billy, he's asking me to meet at somewhere, to fight me for the sake of Masquerade.", Julie said.
Dan, Runo, Shun, and Marucho then heard their Bakupods beep and looked at them.
"Looks like we received the same challenge from others.", Dan noted.
"I'm guessing it's the rest of the goons that follow Masquerade; Klaus, Komba, Julio, and Lee.", Marucho adjusted his glasses.
"Looks like Masquerade did not take his first defeat lightly.", Kaito said, clenching his fists in anger, "He wants to take us all down at once.".
"They outnumber us.", Runo said in disbelief.
"Akemi said they're 6 Brawlers, those new guys, so we're equal with them.", Masumi pointed out.
"Masquerade has crossed a line he'll regret he ever did.", Dan growled as he slammed his fists together.
"I think you guys should take your team members while we handle the others.", Shun said and everyone nodded in agreement.
Shinichi, however, remained silent, one thought on his mind.
'Why is Alice never found in the same place where Masquerade is?'.

The primary Vanguard Brawlers arrived just as Akemi arrived with Mary and the police officers, while the secondary vanguard brawlers stood in the vast field of the manor, glaring at the others as they walked in.
"You're finally here. I thought we were going to be forced to hurt the old geezers here to get you.", Sonoko sneered.
"S-Sonoko…", Ran mumbled in disbelief at her friend's words.
"Shiho! What happened to you?!", Akemi cried in disbelief and worry.
'Shiho?', The Vanguard members thought as they glanced at Masumi, to see her not surprised at what she had just heard.
"Nothing, I'm just back at my old self, and it's Sherry by the way.", Shiho smirked evilly.
"Let's brawl! It's about time we sent yar Bakugan ta da Doom Dimension!", Kazuha cried.
"Kazuha… This isn' ya.", Heiji mumbled.
"I feel much better now, trust me Heiji.", Kazuha scoffed.
"Aoko, snap out of it!", Kaito cried.
"I kind like this new powerful version of me.", Aoko smirked, making Kaito look at her in disbelief.
"I'm guessing this ain't the norm of your friends.", Date said.
"Looks like they won't snap out of it unless we defeat them.", Matsuda said.
"By the looks of it we've got two of every attribute. And the same with us, let's team up and face them, same attribute against each other.", Hagiwara suggested.
"Then let's do this right now!", Shinichi spoke up, anger and determination filling him, 'You're not gonna get away with this, Masquerade!'.
"Mama, please go check on Kashiko-san, Agasa-Hakase, and Jii-san.", Masumi ordered her mother, merely glancing at her, missing how her mother looked at her surprised.
She nodded, and rushed inside.
Hiro and Shinichi stood next to each other across Momiji and Kazumi, Matsuda and Kaito faced Hina and Aoko, Akemi and Ran faced Eisuke and Sonoko, Date and Saguru faced Makoto and Haruka, Hagiwara and Heiji faced against Kazuha and Soshi, and finally; Furuya and Masumi faced against Shiho and Akako.
They glared at each other for a few seconds, not noticing how Mary walked out with Agasa, Jii, and Kashiko.
Everyone pulled out their field card as they cried, "Field Open!".
The area around them changed into the Bakugan arena just as Agasa said, "Looks like we are going to be the audience for these battles.".
"I hope they do win.", Kashiko mumbled.
"Don't worry, Kaito-botchama is strong and can do this.", Jii assured her.
Mary remained silent, her eyes focusing on Masumi, this will be the first time she sees her brawl, and she prayed that her daughter would be safe in this.
"Gate Card, Set!", The brawlers cried as they threw their Gate Cards across each other.".
And the six battles begun.

"Name's Morofushi Hiromitsu, you can call me Hiro.", Hiro introduced himself as he pulled out a Bakugan.
"Kudou Shinichi.", Shinichi nodded as he pulled out his own Bakugan.
"Don't bother introducing yourselves to each other, both of you will lose your Bakugan anyways!", Kazumi sneered.
"Are you sure that's the effect of brainwashing? Something tells me she's not that nice in real life.", Nobilious commented from he rested on Hiro's shoulder.
"She does have a huge ego, if that's what you're asking about.", Nillious replied.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Pyrus Griffon!", Shinichi threw his Bakugan on his card.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Pyrus Centipoid!", Momiji threw her Bakugan across Shinichi's.

"Gate Card, Open! Trade Off!", Shinichi cried.
"In your dreams.", Momiji scoffed as she pulled out an ability card, "Ability Activate! Grand Down!".
Shinichi's gate card was deactivated just as he pulled out an ability card, "Ability Card, Activate! Fire Tornado!".
Momiji narrowed her eyes as she activated an ability at the same time, "Ability Card, Activate! Spiced Assault!".

Griffon started being surrounded by a fire tornado just as Centipoid broke through it and attempted to bite Griffon with its pincers, but Griffon flew out of the way.
"Ability Card, Activate! Spiced Assault!", Momiji cried.
Shinichi narrowed his eyes as he activated another Ability, "Ability Card, Activate! Dive Mirage!".
Griffon flew off his card and landed on Kazumi's, deactivating it.
"Oi! What the hell!", Kazumi cried angrily.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Pyrus Juggernoid!", Hiro cried as he threw his Bakugan across Centipoid.

"Ability Activate! Fire Refrain!", Hiro cried.
"What?!", Momiji cried as Centipoid let out a cry of pain, unable to perform a single move.
"It's over for you, Ability Activate! Fire Tornado!", Hiro cried.

A fire tornado surrounded the gate card around Centipoid and Juggernoid. Juggernoid let out a battle cry as it charged toward Centipoid, slamming with all of its body into the centipede-like Bakugan, forcing it to return back to its sphere form at Momiji's feet while Juggernoid returned to Hiro's hand.

"You're not really the smartest fish in the sea, either.", Shinichi deadpanned, making Hiro snicker while Kazumi growled at him.
"Ability Activate! Fire Tornado!", She cried as she activated her ability.

"Kazumi, I thought you already learned that the only Pyrus brawler I consider as a true rival is Dan, and now I'm adding Hiro because I like his skills.", Shinichi shrugged.
"Thanks buddy!", Hiro saluted Shinichi with a smirk, understanding what did he want to do.
"You're not even that close to me.", Shinichi said as he raised a hand, "If I'm at this level,", and then he raised his other hand, way below his first, "You're at this level.".
"That was such a savage burn, I like it!", Nillious laughed.
"Tricking the opponent through insulting their ego? Not bad.", Nobilious nodded in approval.
"I'll wipe the battlefield with your face!", Kazumi cried, "Warius! Finish him!".
Warius charged towards Griffon, the fire tornado surrounding the gate card they were standing on.
"Ability Card, Activate! Wing Burst!", Shinichi cried.
Griffon roared as it moved its wings, creating a burst of red energy around it, while Warius groaned in pain.

Griffon did not give Kazumi a chance to activate an ability nor for Warius to stand back up, and charged at him, knocking him onto the card, before biting him in the neck.
Both Bakugan returned to their sphere form, but Griffon returned to Shinichi's hand while Warius fell at Kazumi's feet.
"I expected more of you, after what I just heard.", Momiji mocked Kazumi, making the girl glare at her before she turned back to Shinichi and Hiro.
"Let me play this, I've got a plan for the finale.", Hiro told Shinichi.
"After you then.", Shinichi smirked.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Pyrus Nobilius!", Hiro cried as he threw his Bakugan on Momiji's gate card.
"It's time to free you from evil!", Nobilious roared.
"Foolish person.", Momiji scoffed before she threw her Bakugan across Nobilious, "Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Pyrus Howlkor!".
Howlkor was a red and orange Cerberus Bakugan, with sharp claws and teeth, and green eyes.

The Gate card deactivated just as Nobilius flew high in the air, and then landed on his card.

"You can enter now.", Hiro told Shinichi.
"Already ahead of you!", Shinichi cried, "Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Pyrus Nillious!".
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Pyrus Kelion!", Kazumi cried.
Kelion landed across Nobilious while Nillious landed across Howlkor.

Howlkor let out a roar before he let out a fire breath from his three heads at Nillious.

Kelion growled before he let out a breath of fire, and then jumped, spinning swiftly around himself, forming a fire drill, heading towards Nobilius.

Nobillius flew high, evading the drill from Kelion before he turned as he took a huge breath before he let it out as multiple rapid fire bullets.

"I'm not as stupid as Kelion.", Howlkor scoffed as he ducked, evading the beam, while Kelion ran around, evading the bullets.
"I've got something new to show you!", Kelion cried, ignoring Howlkor's words.
"Ability Activate! Fire Paralysis!", Kazumi cried as Kelion took a huge deep breath before he let out a small thin fire blast at Nobilius. Once it hit him, he let out a cry of pain as he was paralyzed, feeling unable to move.

He ended up falling down onto the ground just as Momiji cried, "Ability Card Activate! Blazing Arrows!".
Howlkor smirked evilly as three sharp and large red arrows with silver heads appeared above him.
"We may not be able of defeating you and Nillious… But we can send your friend's Bakugan to the doom dimension!", Kazumi snarled.
Howlkor let out a howl, the arrows charging towards Nobilious.
"You should've already guessed from my silence and calm attitude that I've got a counter!", Hiro cried as he pulled out an ability card, "Ability Activate! Rise From The Ashes!".
"I've got something interesting too. Ability Activate! Fire Shredder!", Shinichi cried.

Nillious let out a roar as three large claws came out of his knuckles before he disappeared and then reappeared in front of Howlkor, before he stabbed the claws into his chest.
At the same time, Nobilious smirked as he changed into ashes, missing the arrows, before the ashes reformed into his body as he flew high, his body glowing orange with fire surrounding him, charged down toward Kelion, and slammed his whole body into him before he exploded.
Kelion and Howlkor returned back to their sphere forms as they fell at the feet of their owners.
The girls had their eyes glow in purple for a second before the glowing disappeared, and they fainted, falling onto the ground.
Kaito & Matsuda vs Aoko & Hina,
"Matsuda Jinpei, and this is Radizen.", Matsuda introduced himself and his Bakugan before he asked Kaito, "Is that girl close to you?".
He was asking him about Aoko, since he noticed the hurt and worried look on Kaito's face toward her.
"Kuroba Kait, and this is Elfin… Yeah, Aoko is important to me…", Kaito replied sadly.
Matsuda only nodded, as he deduced from the look on Kaito's face and from his tone that Kaito was in love with Aoko.
"Important to you? Ha! I don't give a damn about an annoying guy like you! Always blabbering about your stupid magic tricks, seeking the attention your mother doesn't give you.", Aoko cried with an evil smirk, "Pretty sure your dead father is even ashamed of you.".
Aoko words were like daggers that stabbed Kaito in his heart, and his eyes widened with every word, unable to say a word from the shock.
"Hey! Don't talk to him like that! He has done nothing wrong to you!", Elfin cried angrily.
"It's no use since the brainwashing has made them evil.", Radizen said.
"Evil? That's who we truly are! And we are much stronger than before!", Akwimos laughed.
"Enough talking, and let's battle.", Hina said calmly, but her eyes were filled with anger and hatred.
"Agreed, let's send their useless Bakugan to the Doom Dimension.", Tristar said.
"Bakugan Brawl!", Hina and Aoko chorused as they threw their Bakugan, which landed on their cards, "Bakugan Stand!".
"Aquos Limulus!", Hina cried as her Bakugan let out a battle cry in his place.
"Aquos Gargonoid!", Aoko cried as her Bakugan flew around the Gate card with a battle cry.

"Hey!", Matsuda cried, snapping Kaito out of his frozen state, and the latter looked up at him.
"You wanna save your girlfriend? Let's win this brawl.", Matsuda said. Usually Kaito would deny his feelings for Aoko, but this time, he did not, and he simply nodded.
"Bakugan Brawl!", Both of them cried as they threw their Bakugan, "Bakugan Stand!".
"Aquos Siege!", Matsuda cried as his Bakugan landed across Limulus.
"Aquos Mantris!", Kaito cried as his Bakugan landed across Gargonoid.

"Ability Card, Activate! Aquos Javelin!", Matsuda cried as he activated an ability. Siege slammed his javelin onto the gate card, and the gate card switched with the on next to it, with Aoko's.
So, now Mantris and Gargonoid were on Hina's Gate Card while Limulus and Siege were on Aoko's Gate Card, and since Mantris did not have a G-Power reaching 400 or more, the gate card effect was nullified.
But Mantris let out a cry of pain from the effect of the Supernova Gate Card.

Mantris grabbed Gargonoid and threw him onto Kaito's Gate Card.

Limulus let out a cry of pain as it found itself unable to move.
"What the?!", Hina cried in disbelief.
"Benefits of being a Brawler and a police officer? Being smarter than you!", Matsuda cried, "Siege, Finish him!".
Siege let out a battle cry as it impaled the Javelin into Limulus's body, causing the Bakugan to return back in its sphere form at Hina's feet.

"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Aquos Akwimos!", Aoko cried as she threw her partner across Radizen.
"Gate Card, Open! Double Battle!", Matsuda activated his Gate Card before he nodded at Kaito.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Aquos Elfin!", Kaito cried as he threw Elfin on Matsuda's card.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Aquos Tristar!", Hina cried.

"Ability Card, Activate! Slash Boomerang!", Matsuda cried as he activated an ability, Radizen creating two sharp water boomerangs in his hands and throwing them at Tristar.
"Ability Card Activate! Rain Torrent!", Kaito cried as he activated an ability, Elfin creating an energy ball with her hands before she threw it at Akwimos.

The collision of one of the boomerangs and the energy ball with the stream and pressure caused them both to die down, while the second boomerang exploded once it was near Tristar and Akwimos, catching them off guard.

"My name is Miyano Akemi.", Akemi introduced herself with a small smile.
"Mouri Ran.", Ran replied just as Sonoko and Eisuke pulled out their Bakugan.
"Enough talk! I will send you with your Bakugan to the Doom Dimension!", Sonoko cried.
"Be calm, or else we will lose.", Eisuke said coldly as he adjusted his glasses.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand!", Both cried as they threw their Bakugan on their cards.
"Haos Saurus!", Eisuke cried as he Bakugan roared.
"Haos Serpenoid!", Sonoko cried as her Bakugan slithered and hissed.

Aerogan jumped, evading Saurus's attack before he aimed with a kick from above, his right leg glowing yellow toward Saurus.

Aerogan let out a battle cry as the glow disappeared from his leg and Saurus grabbed him from it before he started spinning him around.
"No Ability for you.", Eisuke smirked.
"Gate Card, open! Wall Lock!", Akemi activated her gate card before she pulled out an Ability Card, "Ability Activate! Rocket Punch!".

"Oh, you're using Leonidas, I thought you won't considering he's from the Doom Dimension!", Sonoko laughed, "You told me after you overheard him and Vladitor talk! I don't think he'll mind if we send him to the doom dimension!".
"Ran, you knew?", Leonidas asked in disbelief as he turned to look down at her.
"Masumi and I heard you and Vladitor talk, so we both know.", Ran nodded.
"Then why… why do you still see me as your partner?", Leonidas asked confused, "I'm not a good person, and I was a viscous Bakugan back then. Why do you still trust me?".
Ran remained silent before she smiled up at Leonidas, "Because you're my partner! We've battled together a lot! I would trust you with my life, and I understand why you didn't tell me, considering what we know about the Doom Dimension and how we fear it.".
"Ran…", Leonidas mumbled in disbelief, feeling his heart touched by Ran's words.
"So, let's win this battle just like we have always done!", Ran cried.
Leonidas remained silent before he looked ahead. He briefly recalled his life back in the Doom Dimension, defeating and even killing Bakugan to survive back then, or out of anger and testing his strength. His time with Ran made him soft deep down, but he would be lying if he said that he had not become stronger with her.
At the beginning, he was just tolerating Ran to get stronger, but then he started caring for her, and now he is unable to imagine himself partnering with anyone else but her, or battling without her.
"Ability Activate! Tri Beam!", Eisuke cried as Artulean raised his hands, firing two yellow beams from them and one from his chest.

"Ability Activate! Scarlet Twister!", Ran cried. Monarus let out a battle cry as she intercepted the beams heading toward Centipoid, sacrificing herself, and returning to sphere form at Ran's feet.
"What the?", Sonoko and Eisuke mumbled confused at Ran's move.
"Ability Activate!", Ran and Akemi chorused.
"Grand Down!", Akemi cried.
"Hunting Dragon!", Ran cried.
Leonidas looked up at Pegatrix and charged so fast that Pegatrix barely saw him as he grabbed her from his neck.
Serpenoid turned to attack him, but Juggernoid charged toward it and slammed it's body into it.
"Ability Activate! Spiced Assault!", Akemi cried.
Haos Artulean: 580 – 100= 480 Gs
Haos Centipoid: 400 100=500 Gs
"Ran-chan, Quick!", Akemi cried, knowing Centipoid, who charged toward Artulean and started clashing with him, would not last for a long time.
"Ability Activate! Light Refrain!", Ran cried as Juggernoid let outa battle cry and slammed again into Serpenoid, making him return to his sphere from.
"Ability Activate! Attractor!", Akemi cried as Juggernoid charged out of the ability card to join Centipoid.
"Ability Activate! Energy Rain!", Eisuke cried.
"Ability Activate! Unicorn Strike!", Sonoko cried.
"Ability Activate! Spiced Assault!, Akemi cried.
"Ability Activate! Bright Slam!", Ran cried before she pulled out another Ability as she said, "Let's do this Leo!".
"Let's go Ran!", Leonidas roared, not allowing Pegatrix to get free from his grip.
"Ability Activate! Dragon's Rage!".
Haos Artulean: 480 300 – 100= 680 Gs
Haos Centipoid & Juggernoid: 830 100 100 =1030 Gs
Haos Leonidas: 450 200 =650 Gs
Haos Pegatrix: 390 200=590 Gs
Artulean jumped high and fired energy from every part of his body before they rained down at the Bakugan below. Centipoid extended until it grabbed Artulean from his leg, causing him to stop his energy beams, and Centipoid grabbed him down. Juggernoid then charged and slammed it's body into Artulean.
The three Bakugan then returned to their sphere forms, but Artulean fell at Eisuke's feet while the other two returned to their partner's hands.

Leonidas let out a battle cry as his body glowed yellow with electricity surrounding him just as Pegatrix's eyes glowed yellow, the same with it's horn, and the horn fired an energy beam at Leonidas.
But the beam hit the lightning energy field around Leonidas, not the dragon himself.
"Snap out of your idiotic brainwashing!", Leonidas spat as he fired an electricity beam from his mouth.
Pegatrix let out a cry of pain before she returned to her sphere form at Sonoko's feet while Leonidas returned to Ran's hand.
