Wednesday laid in bed asleep with her arms folded across her chest. Suddenly a little bit of sunlight came in through the nearby window causing Wednesday to slowly open her eyes. Wednesday then noticed her arms were folded, and had a confused look on her face as she stepped out of bed. Wednesday then put on a pink sweater and yellow skirt as she looked at herself in the mirror briefly. Wednesday spent a moment refreshing one of her long hair braids, and then went over to the nearby window. Wednesday took a deep breath, and then made a smile as she said, "Today feels like it's going to be an amazing day." Then from nearby, a door opened: and Enid walked into the room wearing all black. A very excited Wednesday ran over to Enid, and with a big smile said, "Howdy roomy! I see you were up all night. So... you gonna spill and tell me all the details on what you were up to?" Enid then took a step away from Wednesday, and with a deadly glare said, "Just because we are room-mates at this university, does not entitle you to know all of the specifics of what I get up to at night. Besides... the less you know, the easier you'll be able to claim ignorance when accused of being a potential accomplice of mine one day."
A tired looking Enid then walked over to her bed in the shared dorm room, as a smiling Wednesday said, "Well I totally need to tell you what I went through last night. I had this totally weird dream. In the dream I was a student at this made up school called Nevermore. And in the dream, I was wearing all black like you do, and I had these weird psychic visions. Totally crazy, right? You think it means something?" Enid then looked annoyed as she laid on her bed while saying, "Wednesday, dreams are just a mix of random memories, thoughts, and imagination swirled together into a random mess, which occasionally takes on a narrative form; but rest assured - dreams have no meaning." Then as Wednesday sat next to Enid on her bed, she said, "Oh, and that's the other thing. In the dream, Wednesday wasn't my nick-name. It was like... my real name. I mean... how crazy is that?" Then Enid put a pillow over her face as she said, "Please... I need some rest. We don't need to talk about your dream life. Just focus on the fact that you are a normal girl that goes to a normal school, and has a normal life." Wednesday then shrugged as she said, "I guess you're right. Crazy dreams are fun... but I should focus on my totally normal life..."
In a college lecture hall, many young college students sat in a packed room while Wednesday and a young man were standing at two podiums in front of the class. As the young man looked at the crowded room, he said, "And so in conclusion, it is imperative we loosen restrictions on student attire. I mean this is college people. The time where we're supposed to experiment and find ourselves. Restricting how we dress, restricts our individuality. Now then... I turn the floor to my opposition." A smiling Wednesday (who was wearing a long pink dress) then looked at the audience as she said, "Good morning everyone. For those that don't know me, my name is Harley Diaz. But since I grew up stuck in the middle between six other siblings, I sometimes went by the name: Wednesday. And since our debate class has three other women with the name Harley, I started being referred to regularly by my nickname: Wednesday here in class... and since then, everyone calls me that now. So to start off my side of the debate, I'd first like to thank my opponent Barry for all the points he made today. They were very good points of view. However... I have more important ones. Yes, there is a time to experiment and try new styles of fashion. However the classroom is not the time for that. We come to class to focus and learn. If people come to class with outrageous clothing, or even outrageous amounts of skin showing... it could have a negative impact on our learning process."
Then the male student: Barry smirked as he said, "Come on Wednesday. We're all adults here. I think any of us could still focus in class if anyone wore a slightly silly costume, or showed a little extra skin." Then Wednesday smirked as she said, "Wanna bet on that?" Then suddenly Wednesday turned on a music player near her, and then suddenly music by the artist Nelly began to play. Wednesday then suddenly tore off her long pink dress, and showed she was wearing a pink tank top and black booty shorts underneath. Then Wednesday started waving her hands up and down as she said, "Come on a little bit of uh, uh. And a little bit of uh, uh. Check a little bit... uh, uh. Just a little bit of... uh, uh." Many people in the classroom then suddenly began to hoot and holler, while Wednesday turned her body to the side and began shaking her butt with her hands on her hips as she sang, "I was like, good gracious ass is bodacious, uh. Lookin' for the right time to shoot my steam, you know. Lookin' for the right time to flash them keys." Then Wednesday began thrusting her hips a bit back and forth as she sang, "Then, um, I'm leavin', please believin', oh. Me and the rest of my heathens. Check it, got it locked at the top of the Four Seasons. Penthouse, roof top, birds I feedin'."
Then suddenly Wednesday took off her pink t-shirt showing she was wearing a pink bra beneath it, and began twirling her shirt around as she sang, "It's gettin' hot in here. So take off all your clothes. I am gettin' so hot, I wanna take my clothes off!" Then the song ended, as many people began cheering and loudly clapping. As Wednesday then put her dress back on, she said, "Thanks for the affirmation with how hot I am. But as you were watching my dance, I coordinated a little test with Professor Anderson. As I was shaking my booty, Professor Anderson was showing on the classroom board all of the answers to next week's quiz. Did anyone notice or jot the answers down?" Suddenly the room went very quiet. Wednesday then smirked as she said, "I think my point has been made. Students who waltz into class with distracting attire can be a bigger distraction than we realize. Case closed!"
A short time later: many young adults were walking out of the college lecture hall including Enid. Wednesday then ran over to Enid, and with an excited look on her face said, "Howdy roomy! Did ya like my performance!?" Enid then glared at Wednesday as she said, "Despite your point being made effectively, I fail to see how objectifying your body to the extent you did was needed." Wednesday giggled as she said, "It was just fun Enid. Hey. I'm going to an ice cream party at Stacey's this afternoon. You wanna come, and take a stab at being social?" Enid with a deadpan face said, "I do like stabbing... but I have important work to do this afternoon that cannot be ignored." Wednesday smirked as she said, "That's right. You still have that mysterious job you go to every afternoon. Well... if you get off early... you know where to find me." Then Wednesday gave a wink at Enid, and walked away.
However as Wednesday walked off, she suddenly bumped into her peer: Barry. Barry backed off as he said, "Oh, I'm sorry." Wednesday kept a smile on as she said, "No big. Oh, I forgot to say... thanks for the good debate today." Barry chuckled as he said, "Thank you too... for the fun show." Wednesday chuckled as she said, "That was just me trying to go to every length to win the debate, and get an A plus. The truth is... I totally am on your side. The dress code on this campus is way too strict." Barry smiled as he said, "Well... glad to know nothing you said was personal. Anyway, you heading to lunch right now?" Wednesday nodded her head as she said, "I am. You wanna join me?" Barry kept his smile on his face as he said, "I think I will."
Both Wednesday and Barry then walked over to a nearby outdoor table, and proceeded to get some food out of their book bags. However as Wednesday pulled a small lunch bag out of her large book bag - suddenly a small book fell out. Barry then picked up the book, but then glanced inside and saw many hand-drawn cartoons and comics inside. A curious Barry then said, "Wait. What are these?" Wednesday looked a little embarrassed as she said, "Oh... just a hobby." Then as Barry flipped through the book, he saw recurring cartoons of a gothic family doing activities around a large dark mansion. With wide eyes, Barry said, "Wait a minute. I've seen these cartoons printed in the school newspaper. But these sketches look like they're the originals." Wednesday sighed, and made a little smile as she said, "That's because... they are." Then Barry with an amazed look said, "Wait. You're Charles Addams?"
Wednesday put her hands up briefly for a few seconds, and then said, "Guilty. Charles Addams is just a pen-name I use. Despite how progressive our society has become... male cartoonists and entertainers still get more respect than female ones do. Also, I kind of liked posting my crazy stories with anonymity." As Barry looked through Wednesday's book, he said, "But these funny little cartoons that your fans have dubbed The Addams Family are hysterical and intriguing. I mean these cartoons should be published in a major newspaper like The New Yorker. I mean... look at this. A family with a father and a mother who allow their kids to torture each other, a zombie butler, a mysterious thing that may be just a living hand... Wednesday, your cartoons are so imaginative. Where did these ideas come to you?" Wednesday trying to sound humble, said, "They just... come to me in my dreams. Just silly little dreams." Then as Barry looked at the drawings, he said, "Well the girl in this family sure looks like a young version of you." Wednesday smirked as she said, "She does... but it's not like these drawings are based on my own life. Just silly little dreams."
Later that day: Enid walked towards a building, with a sign outside that said - Saint Bernadette's Orphanage. Enid then walked over to an older nun who was standing near the front door as she said, "Hello Sister Tabitha. I'm here to tutor the girls again today." The older nun then said, "Ah, of course Enid. And thank you for providing your service to the children. They always enjoy your company." Then the older nun walked to the side of the building and yelled, "Harmony! Ana! Your tutor is here!" Then the two young girls: Harmony and Ana ran over to Enid. Harmony smiled as she said, "Hello Miss Sinclair. Are we gonna work on our multiplication today?" Enid smiled as she said, "Of course. Lets just go to our usual tutoring room, and we'll get started." Enid then led Harmony and Ana into the building and into a small room. Enid then briefly checked to see if anyone was nearby... and then closed the door to the room. Enid then got on her knees as she said, "Come here girls." Then Harmony and Ana immediately hugged Enid as Ana said, "We missed you so much mommy!" Tears appeared in Enid's eyes as she said, "I've missed you so much too." Then Harmony said, "When are all of us and mother finally gonna go home?" As Enid held the girls close, she said, "Soon girls. Remember... we have to follow your mother's plan exactly the way she instructed us..."
*Three Months Ago...
Enid was driving a car quickly down a long dark road, while Wednesday sat next to her, and Harmony and Ana sat in the back seat. Harmony and Ana then looked behind the car, and saw a large troll like beast chasing after them with incredible speed. Harmony then yelled, "It's gaining on us mommy!" A freaked out Enid then yelled, "I know sweety! My God Wednesday, what is this thing chasing us!?" With a straight forward tone, Wednesday said, "Discussions later. Drive fast NOW!" Enid drove the car as fast as it could go, as the large troll beast kept running after them. Then everyone saw a drawbridge up ahead, which looked like it was getting ready to be raised for an incoming boat. Wednesday kept her eyes focused forward as she said, "Floor it Enid." A freaked out Enid then said, "But we're not going to make it." Wednesday with a determined face said, "We will." Then Enid pushed the gas pedal as hard as possible, and was able to get the car across the draw bridge just as it was about to be lifted. With the bridge raised, the large troll creature stopped dead in his tracks and screamed loudly in anger.
Enid then continued to drive the car as she said, "Okay Wens. What the heck was that!?" Wednesday in a straight forward tone said, "It is a Democado. It is a rare type of demon that used to prey on my ancestors and drag them to hell; like a personal grim reaper that damns only members of a specific family to the underworld. As the legend goes: an ancestor of mine - Huey Addams once played a trick on it to avoid dying for many years. Angered by the trickery, the Democado vowed to killed Huey and any direct descendant of his. The Addams family then immigrated to America as a way for the Democado to lose track of them. It seemed to have succeeded... until now." Then a curious Enid said, "So... what now? Do we lay low for awhile, and then move to a new town?"
Wednesday turned her head as she said, "No. The Democado has been up close to me and picked up my scent. It can find me anywhere on the world now." Then a scared looking Enid said, "So wait. You mean it can find you or the girls anywhere on the planet? Is there anyway to stop it, like wearing super strong perfume?" Wednesday turned her head as she said, "The girls shall be fine as the Democado didn't seem interested in them at all when he attacked. It could be their werewolf DNA they have inherited from you has turned the Democado off from them. As for me... the Democado doesn't detect people based on their smell... it detects people based off their heart. And now that it has seen mine... it will follow my heart wherever I go." Then a concerned Enid said, "So how do we stop it?" Then Wednesday held up a dark pendant, and with a deadpan face said, "We remove it." A freaked out looking Enid then said, "WHAT!?"
*The Present:
As Harmony and Ana both sat close to Enid on the floor, a worried Ana looked at Enid as she said, "Is mother okay?" Enid nodded her head as she said, "Yeah. She's a very different person now... but she's okay. That magical pendant of hers may have changed her... however deep down, she's still your mother. But remember, she told us the Democado will lose her scent after three and a half months. And that's just two weeks away. But it still has eyes, and knows we're are family. So if we all spend too much time together, it will recognize us, and then be able to find your mother. So we need to be apart just a little longer. I'm sorry you girls had to have this happen to you. I'm so sorry." Harmony then squeezed Enid's hand as she said, "It's okay mommy. We're doing this stay safe. We know we'll be together again so soon." Tears appeared in Enid's eyes as she hugged her girls tightly, while saying, "I love you girls. I love you girls so much." Enid then eventually let go of the girls, and then slowly walked out of the room. Within a minute, Enid found herself walking out out of the orphanage. Enid looked back at the building one more time... and then walked off crying. As Enid began to walk down the sidewalk by herself, she softly said, "My God Wednesday... you better be right about this plan..."
*Three Months Ago:
Enid had the family car parked near the side of the road, as Wednesday held up her dark pendant and said, "This pendant my mother gave me has mystical qualities... including the ability to change one's heart." A confused Enid then said, "What are you talking about? You mean like changing your blood type?" Then Wednesday said, "More like changing my soul. If I concentrate... I can use this pendant to cause myself to become a completely different person, and the Democado won't be able to find me." Then a confused Enid said, "You mean you won't be yourself for the rest of your life?" Wednesday turned her head and said, "No. The Democado will lose my scent after three and a half months. After that time, the pendant can restore my proper soul. However, the Democado is not blind. He has seen you all. If I am to change my identity, so will all of you."
Then Wednesday opened up the glove compartment of the car, and held out some paperwork as she said, "I created false identities for all of you ahead of time in the event I was ever implicated in... something less than legal. Using these new identities, you'll be able to lay low for some time. But make sure you don't act like your normal selves. The Democado will lose my scent, but he will still be using his eyes to look for us. Blending in though as different people will help us to hide better in plain sight." Then a concerned Enid said, "But... under these new identities... will we still be married? Will our girls still be our daughters?" Wednesday looked down, took a deep breath, and then said, "We cannot be ourselves in the slightest, or we increase the chances of the Democado finding us."
*The Present:
Wednesday sat in her dorm room wearing a pink dress, as she sat next to Barry on her bed. As Barry looked at a book he was holding, he said, "Wow. Now you've turned one of your characters into the star of her own novel?" Wednesday smirked as she said, "Well the character of Wednesday was a favorite of mine, so I decided to give her an entire series." Barry chuckled as he said, "Hey. No judgment here. But, wow... these adventures you have this teenage girl go on are fascinating. I don't know how you are so creative. You know Wednesday... ever since I met you on the first day of class three months ago... I've always been so intrigued by you... and now I'm just as intrigued by your stories. The character of Wednesday here has such an interesting life." Wednesday smirked a little as she said, "Yeah. But... the Wednesday of my stories is so cold, so harsh, and so manipulative. She's fun to write about... but her life isn't the one I want." A curious Barry then said, "Well what kind of life do you want?"
Then Wednesday scooted towards Barry as she said, "Well... I want a life where I can be appreciated as I am... by a man who respects my intelligence and my creativity... and who will also... do this with me." Then Wednesday leaned her head forward and kissed Barry on the lips. Barry looked startled for a moment... but then kissed Wednesday back. Both Wednesday and Barry then sat on the bed together as they wrapped their arms around each other's bodies and proceeded to kiss more. Then suddenly Enid walked into the bedroom door as she said, "Hey Wednesday, how are... WHAT!?" Wednesday and Barry immediately stopped kissing, as Wednesday giggled and said, "Oops. Sorry. I guess I should've put a sock on the door." Enid then began to back up as she said, "Well, I... I... I have to go." Then Enid immediately walked out of the room and closed the door behind her. A few tears appeared in Enid's eyes as she said, "This wasn't supposed to happen..."
*Three Months Ago:
Enid had the family car parked on the outskirts of a town, as Wednesday got out of the car with Harmony and Ana. Wednesday got on her knees as she looked at Harmony and Ana while saying, "To lower suspicions, and keep you away from the Democado... you will be posing as orphans at the local orphanage. Be strong, and be resilient. This arrangement will indeed be temporary." Harmony and Ana immediately hugged Wednesday, as Harmony said, "We love you mother." Then Wednesday stood up and handed Enid a folder. An angry Enid then said, "No Wens! I am not taking on the identity of some book store clerk. If you're going to pose as a college student, I am going to be your room-mate." A nervous Wednesday the said, "Enid... if we are seen together..." A determined Enid then said, "I won't dress or act like myself. Heck, I'll act just like you if I have to. But I'm staying by your side."
Wednesday sighed as she said, "Very well. Be aware... the pendant will change my mind and soul completely. Anything I say or do won't be me. Do not try to acknowledge who I really am, even when we are alone. You can never be sure if the Democado is watching or listening. Change me back to my true self when this is all over." Then a scared looking Enid said, "But... what if the Democado actually does find us before then. What do we do?" Wednesday with a determined look in her eyes, then said, "Then change me back to my true self early... and I shall do everything in my power to end this nightmare." Enid took a deep breath and then said, "Okay. I guess we're ready." Wednesday nodded her head, and then held out the dark pendant. Wednesday closed her eyes and concentrated... and then there was a bright flash... and then Wednesday fell to the ground knocked out. Enid then picked Wednesday up in her arms as she said, "I got you babe..."
*The Present:
Enid walked down the sidewalk by herself looking very worried as she said to herself, "Just calm down Enid. You know Wednesday said anything she said or did in her current state wasn't really her... but that doesn't make what I saw feel any better." Then suddenly Enid turned her head and saw a local television store that had several large televisions on display. Enid then walked over and saw a news program in progress, as a reporter said, "A local scene in a college lecture hall went viral today. College activist: Harley Wednesday Diaz in an attempt to show how revealing outfits can be distracting in class, put on a little show to distract her peers from a chance to easily pass a class quiz." Enid then saw some amateur footage of Wednesday dancing in class being played on the televisions. Enid smiled as she said, "Oh Wednesday. I sometimes wonder if you deserve to not be changed back. You've become so happy... so content... so carefree... and... so visible on television!" Enid then freaked out as she said, "Oh God. If this is on a television channel watched by millions... then that means it might be also seen by..." Then Enid heard a loud monstrous voice from far away yell, "ADDAMS!" Enid then suddenly heard screaming, and saw people running away from a nearby site looking terrified. Then Enid saw from far away: the monstrous creature known as Democado destroying several buildings, as it yelled, "SHOW YOURSELF ADDAMS!" Enid looked very scared as she said, "Oh no! Wednesday!"
Wednesday and Barry sat in Wednesday's dorm room in the middle of kissing one another, when Enid suddenly burst in. A panicked Enid then said, "Wednesday! The Democado found us! It's right nearby. You have to get back to normal right now, and save us!" A very confused Wednesday then said, "Enid, what gives? First time I know was an accident. But for the second time, you should've easily guessed Barry wasn't leaving any time soon." Then Enid walked over to Wednesday, and took out the dark pendant from her pocket as she said, "Enough of this charade. It's time to become my wife once more!" A very confused looking Wednesday then said, "Whoa! Enid. Is this your weird way of coming out. I mean I'm flattered, but I'm not into girls." Then a confused Barry said, "Whoa. I didn't know I was getting mixed into some weird love triangle here." Then a frustrated Enid held the dark pendant out as she said, "Come on Wens. This isn't you. Your name isn't Harley Diaz, and Wednesday isn't your nick name. Your real name is Wednesday Addams, and you need to come back!" Then a very startled Wednesday said, "Enid... I know you like reading my stories... but Wednesday Addams is a fictional character. She carries my name, but she is nothing like me."
Then Enid pushed the dark pendant into Wednesday's hand as she said, "Look. Just hold this, and it'll all make sense." Then Wednesday slapped Enid's hand away as she said, "No! What are you trying to pull Enid?" Then Enid walked away for a moment and grunted as she said, "UGGGH! Look. I know it seems crazy but your dreams you've been having... they're not dreams. They're your real life. You literally changed your identity to hide from this big troll monster known as Democado" Wednesday raised one eyebrow as she said, "Really Enid? A big troll monster?" Then suddenly, the three heard a loud monstrous voice yell, "ADDAMS!" The three young adults then looked outside the nearby window, and saw the Democado monster marching down the street, and tearing apart anything in it's way as it screamed. A freaked out Barry then said, "What the freak is that!?" A very scared Wednesday then said, "That... that can't be real. That can't be real."
Minutes later: Wednesday, Enid, and Barry were hiding in an alley as they watched the Democado tearing apart the city from afar. As the Democado tore apart buildings, it yelled, "Show yourself Addams! Your family has eluded me for centuries! But I will find all those of pure Addams blood! And once I kill you, I will search for your father Gomez Addams, and his brother Fester, and all other people born of pure Addams blood!" Meanwhile Wednesday looked very scared as she said, "This can't be real! This can't be real!" Then Enid stood in front of Wednesday as she said, "But it is! The Democado can apparently sniff out Addams family members' hearts... so Wednesday changed hers. I think she essentially buried her soul under yours. But now the creature has cornered us, and we can't hide anymore. We need the real Wednesday Addams back!" Then an angry Wednesday said, "But what about me? Who am I? If I turn myself back into your Wednesday... what happens to me?" A nervous Enid then said, "Well... it's nothing to worry about."
An angry Wednesday then said, "No. Tell me! When your Wednesday comes back, do I die? Does my soul go to heaven!?" Enid then nervously said, "I'm not sure. I mean... you were sort of just artificially created by magic. I think when this is all over... you just go away... and that's it." Tears then appeared in Wednesday's eyes as she said, "So you just want me to poof out of existence? Is that it!? That's really screwed up! Why can't I just be me. A normal girl, with a normal life..." Then Wednesday turned to look at Barry as she said, "And a normal love. Why is that so wrong?" Then Enid looked at Wednesday as she said, "There's nothing wrong at all with that. There is nothing wrong with that dream you have... but it's not the path that the real Wednesday Addams is destined to be on."
Then an angry Wednesday glared at Enid as she said, "Now listen here, I've vividly seen in my dreams what your Wednesday is like. She's cold, unfeeling, and ruthless. Her mind is tortured by darkness every waking second. She's like fire and rage. Her hatred devours her very essence like a storm. She burns with pain inside of her soul at all times... and you want her back!?" Enid nodded her head, and with certainty in her voice she said, "Yes. Because Wednesday Addams... she does live in darkness. But while the rest of us fear the unknown that lives in the dark... Wednesday sees everything inside of the darkness as clear as light... and thus, doesn't fear it. Instead she controls it. Wednesday Addams sees everything that is wrong, unjust, and unfair in the world... and uses that knowledge to protect those she cares about. She is indeed like fire, rage, and a powerful storm... but she's also the most wonderful person in the world." Then Wednesday looked away with tears in her eyes as she said, "Can... can you give me a minute?" Enid walked away as she said, "Of course."
Enid then walked away as Wednesday began to cry and ran into Barry's arms. As Wednesday cried she said, "What the heck is happening! I just... I just want a normal happy life! Why is that so hard to get!? I don't want to become a girl whose soul is swept in darkness and depression. That's not who I am." Then as Barry held Wednesday close, he said, "I don't totally get what's going on here Wednesday... but I do know that we all wish we could be purely innocent again, as we were when we were tiny children. However... if someone took away all of the wisdom and experience I gained from growing through my difficult times... I would ask for it back." Wednesday then continued to cry as she had a sad look on her face.
The Democado was tearing through the city, causing destruction to many buildings and vehicles. The Democado then yelled, "ADDAMS! SHOW YOURSELF!" Then the creature heard Wednesday yell, "I'm here! Stop!" The Democado turned his head and saw a scared Wednesday run into the middle of the street. Wednesday looked terrified as she said, "Please! Stop this destruction now. I beg of you!" The Democado looked confused as he said, "You are clearly the Addams woman... by you lack the scent of her spirit." A nervous Wednesday then said, "I apparently changed my heart or something like that. I'm not the Wednesday Addams you're hunting. Whatever you hate about her... she's gone now. I'll keep her buried inside me forever, like she's dead. So if you leave in peace now... I promise I'll keep her dead forever." The Democado smirked as he said, "I don't care if your entire brain was removed. No matter who you think you are... you are about to be dead!" Then Wednesday held up the dark pendant and suddenly had a deadpan expression on her face, as she said, "Then it is to my benefit that I restored my true soul just minutes ago. Now Enid!"
Then nearby, Enid lit a match, which immediately lit up a long trail of gasoline. The gasoline trail mixed with the fire, immediately turned into a ring of fire that surrounded the Democado. As the beat looked confused, Wednesday said, "I had my wife lay the gasoline around you while you were distracted by my subterfuge. Also, I was able to disguise the scent of my soul using an old mental trick my father taught me. I forced my brain to believe the lie of who I said I was. It's like ventriloquism, but on a deep spiritual level. It's a trick that cannot last very long... but it worked just long enough." Wednesday then took out from her pockets: several rare plants. Wednesday threw the plants into the fire as she said, "Enjoy your long over-due return to hell." As a portal began to open up below the Democado, the creature yelled, "Damn you Addams! You're nothing but a selfish brat like your ancestor."
Then Wednesday glared at the creature, and in a straight forward tone she said, "On the contrary... I am not the selfish individual you believe me to be. Had this incident happened to me years ago, I would've damned you back to hell immediately. However... the family I have gained has caused me to change... to evolve... and thus, out of pity I instead hid myself. I gave you a chance to give up hunting me, so you could continue to live on Earth in peace. But now... you have forced me to change back to who I once was... in more ways then one." Then the creature screamed in pain as it fell through the portal... and then portal, the fire, and the creature all instantly disappeared. Wednesday breathed a sigh of relief as she said, "It's done." Then immediately Enid ran over to Wednesday and hugged her tightly. Wednesday hugged Enid back, as she kept Enid close to her. Then from nearby: Barry walked onto the scene and looked at Wednesday from afar. Wednesday looked at Barry for a moment... and then looked away.
Several minutes later, Barry was walking down the sidewalk, when suddenly he heard Wednesday yell, "Barry!" Barry turned his head and saw Wednesday rushing over to him. Barry looked at Wednesday as he said, "Wow. You literally look the same, and yet... somehow you look like a totally different person." Wednesday nodded her head as she said, "As to be expected. Are you... unwell?" Barry looked a little out of sorts as he said, "Physically, I'm fine. But mentally... I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel right now. I mean... is the Wednesday I knew... the Wednesday I kissed... what happened to her?" Wednesday with a straight forward tone and deadpan face said, "She's locked away in my brain somewhere... imprisoned and gagged for all eternity." A disturbed Barry then said, "Wow. So, um... could you change back?" Then Wednesday said, "I could, either with the dark pendant... or if I'm knocked in the head several times like my father once was when he had his own identity crisis." Then a curious Barry said, "But will you ever change back?" Then Wednesday turned her head as she said, "Never."
Barry sighed, and then said, "Well... I suppose I shouldn't be angry that you're just being true to yourself, considering you are... the real Wednesday Addams. But I just want you to know... that other Wednesday... she was brave. Despite the way you described it, from my point of view... she sacrificed her life for yours... so don't ever forget that." Wednesday with a deadpan face, then said, "I never forget any fact I am exposed to. Good day Barry." Then Wednesday turned her back to Barry and walked over to a nearby car where Enid, Harmony, and Ana were. Harmony and Ana immediately ran up to Wednesday and gave her a tight hug. Wednesday simply remained motionless as she let her daughters hug her. Then Wednesday eventually walked over to the car and said, "Let us go home." Then Wednesday, Enid, Harmony, and Ana got into the car and drove off. However, as they drove off... Barry watched Wednesday disappear from view with tears in his eyes.
The End
