On a black and white stage, a large grey heart was displayed on a curtain as old 50's style music was being played in the background. Then a young girl with long black braids and a black dress stepped on the stage looking angry and miserable. Then a young girl with blonde hair and a white dress stepped onto the stage with a big smile on her face. The young girl with blonde hair, then grabbed a microphone and in a Cuban accent she sang, "I love Wednesday, though she hates me. We're as odd as two can be. Sometimes we quarrel but how we love arguing more you see. Wednesday threatens like no one can be. She's my bestie and I'm her nuisance. And life is like hell for us. But I love Wednesday. Yes, I love Wednesday, and Wednesday hates me." Then the girl with black hair in a deadpan voice said, "Enid, the annoying tone of your insistent singing is like pure torture... so, perhaps we should have you sing to some of my latest victims that I've acquired for my dungeon." Then the blonde girl looked surprised as she said, "Ay caramba! You have dungeon!? Wednesday... I think you got some 'splainin to do." Then suddenly the two heard Wednesday Addams yell, "That will be enough!"
Then the two girls looked to the audience chairs facing the stage and saw Wednesday and Enid sitting together in the front row. The girl with blonde hair then said, "What's wrong? We thought our take on your life story was fun." Then Enid with a sympathetic face said, "Look girls. Your take on our life story is very entertaining... but after that Broadway musical got a lot of things wrong about the story behind the Addams Family and Wednesday especially, I think my wife was just looking for something that better captured her true spirit." The two girls then walked off the stage, as Wednesday sighed and said, "This was a mistake." Then Enid put a hand on Wednesday's shoulder as she said, "No babe. This was a great idea. I know Rocki's musical featuring your family and life story wasn't what you expected... but it was so nice that you're allowing open auditions for other people to pitch their version of your life story in stage play form to you." Then Wednesday groaned and said, "And yet why must every individual's vision for my life story involve singing." Then Enid sighed and said, "Wednesday... people like singing in theater. Plus, people are trying to create an adaptation of your life story. The audience will know it isn't really you up there."
Then Wednesday and Enid's daughter: Harmony walked into the theater holding hands with her girlfriend Megan. Harmony waved as she said, "Hi moms." Enid made a big smile as she said, "Hey girls. How you are doing?" Then Harmony smiled back as she said, "Good. I'm about to go meet Megan's parents." With an intrigued look, Enid said, "Wow. Sounds like the final step in making your relationship official." Then Wednesday raised one eyebrow as she said, "Shall I come with you? If her parents don't approve of you, I have persuasive techniques to change anyone's opinion." Then Harmony looking skeptical said, "Well mother... I think I can handle this." Then as Harmony and Megan walked out of the theater, Enid looked at a phone she was holding while saying, "Oh boy. We got tons of applicants that wanna pitch their stage play ideas to us. Doesn't this sound awesome?" Then Wednesday rolled her eyes as she grumbled.
Harmony and Megan were sitting in a living room together looking nervous. A curious Harmony then said, "So... when are your parents gonna be home?" Then Megan said, "Um... soon. They were dropping my brother off at this place he goes to on Saturdays, but they should be back any minute." Then from the nearby door, Megan's father and mother walked in. Megan's mother waved as she said, "Hey there Megan. Who's this?" Megan looked nervous as she said, "Oh. Um... hey mom... and hey dad. This is Harmony." As Megan's parents sat down, Megan's father said, "Hello there Harmony. Are you a friend of Megan's from school?" Harmony then cautiously said, "Um... sort of." Then Megan's mother said, "Well that's good. Megan said she was going to introduce to the person she was dating today. I guess he isn't here yet. I was worried because for a second, I thought the person she kept referring to was you."
Then Megan slowly held Harmony's hand as she said, "Actually mom... this... is the person I'm dating. Um... I really like Harmony, and she really likes me." Megan's mother suddenly looked furious as she said, "What!?" Then Megan began to look scared as she said, "It's just... you always said you wanted me to be happy, and Harmony makes me happy, so..." Then Megan's mother stood up and yelled, "OUT!" A frightened Megan then said, "What!?" Then Megan's mother yelled, "OUT! After everything I have done, you... you have to start dating a girl!?" Then an angry Harmony said, "Whoa! What's wrong with her dating a girl?" Then Megan stood up but held Harmony's hand as she said, "Come on Harmony. Lets go." Then Harmony and Megan quickly walked out of the house.
Wednesday and Enid sat in the theater, as they saw two young woman on stage dressed like them standing in front of a blue background. 60's TV music began to play in the background, as the woman dressed as Wednesday looked at the theater and said, "Here's the story... of a girl named Wednesday... who was trying to kill some very bad boys. All of them deserved to die... like ugly pigs... but Wednesday was expelled." Then the woman dressed up as Enid smiled as she sang, "Here's the story... of a werewolf named Enid... who was busy with social media apps. She had over... three thousand followers... yet she felt so alone..." Then the two women on stage both together sang, "Till the one day when the lady met the werewolf... and knew the other could throw more than just a punch. Then this two would somehow form a family. That's the way they both became the Addams Bunch. The Addams Bunch! The Addams Bunch! That's the way they became the Addams Bunch!" Then as the song ended, Enid with an excited face said, "Well I really think..." Then Wednesday with an angry face, interrupted Enid as she loudly said, "I really think we'll pass. NEXT!"
Harmony and Megan were sitting on opposite sides of an outdoor picnic table. As Megan looked sad, an angry Harmony said, "Megan, what in the world is wrong with your parents? I mean... did you know they were going to react like that?" Megan looked down as she said, "Well... I worried they would. But I wasn't completely certain." Then an angry Harmony said, "I mean... we're like a quarter of the way through the 21st century now. Where have your parents been!? Men sometimes date men, and women sometimes date women now. I mean I have two moms and I'm not screwed up. Heck, my two moms run the biggest business in town now. They provide tons of jobs, tax dollars, and charity donations that are keeping the entire town afloat. How dumb, ignorant, and stupid can your parents be?" Then an upset Megan said, "Don't call my parents dumb and stupid!" Then Harmony calmed down and said, "Sorry. It's just... I don't like it when I have to deal with any sort of prejudice." Then Megan looked down again as she said, "Harmony... sometimes people that just seem prejudice... are more complicated than you think... my parents especially." A curious Harmony then said, "What do you mean?" Megan then stood up as she said, "Come on. I wanna show you something."
Wednesday and Enid sat in the theater, as they saw two girls on stage dressed like them standing in front of a black background. 70's TV music began to play in the background, as the woman dressed as Wednesday looked at the theater, and while having a deadpan voice she sang, "Hello world, hear the song that we're singing. Come on, get deadly. A whole lot of stabbing is what we'll be bringing. We'll make things deadly!" Then the women dressed as Enid, smiled as she sang, "We had a dream, we'd go travelin' together. We'd spread a little mayhem; then we'd keep movin' on." Then the woman dressed as Wednesday glared as she said, "Some Hyde keeps attacking whenever we're together. I get a stabbing feeling when he keeps coming on." Then the two women both sang, "Travelin' along, there's a monster that's attacking. Come on, get stabby! A whole lot of violence is what we'll be bringin'. Come on get stabby. Come on get stabby. Come on get stabby!" Then as the song ended, Enid looked at Wednesday as she said, "Um..." Then an angry Wednesday, took out a megaphone and yelled, "NEXT!"
Harmony and Megan walked into an indoor gymnasium, as a curious Harmony said, "What are we doing here?" Megan then led Harmony up some stairs as she said, "You'll see." Harmony and Megan then walked up to a second floor observation room that looked down at what was going on inside the indoor gym. Inside the gym, there was a fitness class going on that was involving several young individuals with various disabilities. Then Harmony saw Megan's parents walk into the gym and towards a young boy with down syndrome. A confused Harmony then said, "Wait. Who is that boy your parents are talking to?" Megan sighed, and then said, "That's my brother Edward... and he's had Down Syndrome my whole life." A confused Harmony then said, "Wait. Why have you never told me this before?" Megan looked down as she said, "Maybe... because I felt ashamed. I mean, I love my brother... but he's very difficult to deal with sometimes. Plus, when you have a family member with a disability... it makes you feel like you have a disability as well. I mean... when some people find out your sibling has a disability, they literally ask if something is wrong with you as well. Plus, there's that fear of when I'm way older... how could I ask you to marry me, if it meant you'd have to potentially help babysit my grown up sibling into old age." Then a confused Harmony said, "But aren't there tons of disability services and support groups that can help you with that?"
As Megan looked down at her brother playing in the gym, she said, "There are... but many of those services aren't free, and they aren't cheap. That's why you never see my parents around the house most of the time. They're working multiple jobs to provide for me, and for Edward's many services he needs." Then a curious Harmony said, "But... if your parents still love your brother despite him being so different... why don't they like us dating?" Megan looked straight at Harmony as she said, "Harmony, I love the fact that you live life as if you're color blind... but if you haven't noticed, I'm half black. I mean... my mom grew up in one of those few American rural towns that still has a freaking white supremacy radio station. She had so many people her whole life tell her she wasn't good enough. She and my dad gave up so much money to move here, so that me and my brother could have opportunities my mom didn't have growing up. You see... in my parents' eyes... me having brown skin, and having a brother with a disability already puts a target on my back for certain types of people to discriminate me and judge me. So, to them... if I start dating a girl... it will cause even more people to discriminate me and judge me. They're not angry at me dating you. They're just angry at the problems they believe will come from dating you." Then Harmony gently grabbed Megan's hand as she said, "Megan... I'm sorry..."
Wednesday and Enid sat in the theater, as they saw a girl on the stage dressed like Enid in her Nevermore Academy school uniform. Upbeat rock music began to play, as a loud bell sound was heard. Then the girl dressed as Enid happily sang, "When I wake up in the morning, and a monster comes a roaring; and I don't think I'll ever make it on time. By the time I show my claws, and then it grabs my jaw, I'm at the moment just in time to see my life flash by. But it's all right, 'cause I'm saved by my girl." Then a woman dressed as Wednesday jumped onto the stage while stabbing a large stuffed monster. Then the smiling girl dressed as Enid sang, "If a monster pops on up, I know I'm in a mess. So I'll turn into a werewolf at night. I'll show off my kitty claws, and hit him in his jaw. But if he hits me back I'll still be all right. It's all right 'cause I'm saved by my girl." Then the girl dressed as Wednesday began playing a guitar she was holding, as the girl dressed as Enid sang, "It's all right 'cause I'm saved by my... it's all right 'cause I'm saved by my... it's all right 'cause I'm saved by my girl!"
Then in the audience, Wednesday looked furious as she held out a megaphone and yelled, "NEXT!" Then from nearby, Wednesday and Enid's other daughter: Ana walked over to the two as she said, "Hey moms. How are you doing?" Enid sighed as she said, "Well... we've been trying to give people a chance to make a stage play based on your mother's life, but it hasn't really been working out." Then an excited Ana said, "Ooo. Can I try? After Grandma and Grandpa told me all about what caused mother to be sent to Nevermore Academy and how you two met, I always thought I could make a cool musical out of it." Enid then looked at Wednesday as she said, "What do you think Wens?" Wednesday sighed as she waved a hand and said, "Very well..."
Megan's parents were sitting in their living room reading books as Megan walked in. Megan took a deep breath and then said, "Hi mom. Hi dad." Megan's father then said, "Megan. Um... how was your day?" Megan looked away slightly as she said, "Okay, I guess. Me and Harmony broke up." Megan's father then said, "Well Megan... I'm sorry." Then Megan looked right at her parents as she said, "Actually it was Harmony's idea. You see she knows from her family how hard it is to be different. She knows because she has two moms that explained how difficult life was for them growing up." Then Megan's mother said, "Well... I'm glad you understand now." Megan then kept her eyes focused straight at her parents as she said, "Yeah. Harmony told me how her mother Wednesday was always treated like a freak for having psychic visions, and for always dressing in a way that made her look different. Meanwhile, Harmony's other mom: Enid had to deal with her family judging her not marrying a werewolf like her. Plus, Harmony's family which includes a zombie butler, and a living hand has had to deal with plenty of people calling them freaks and monsters over the years. So Harmony and her family get what's it like to be judged and looked down upon for being different... which is why Harmony decided to not make things even harder for me. Anyway... later..." Then Megan left the room, as Megan's parents began to have looks of guilt on their face.
Wednesday and Enid sat in the theater, as they saw Ana standing on a stage dressed just like Wednesday did when she was a teenager. Ana then sat down on a gold chair as hip hop music began to play. Then Ana put sunglasses on, and then looked forward as she sang, "Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down, and I'd like to take a minute; Just sit right there. I'll tell you how I became the legend: Wednesday Addams; yeah." Then Ana jumped out of her seat and began doing a hip hop dance. As this happened, Enid smiled while Wednesday looked completely disturbed. Then as Ana danced on stage, she sang, "In west New Jersey, born and raised: at the cemetery was where I spent most of my days. Chillin' out, maxin', stabbing' all cool, and often dissecting animals near my dreadful school. When a couple of guys who were up to no good: started making trouble with my brother, yo. Unleashed one school of piranhas and mom got scared. She said: You're moving to Nevermore Academy, yeah! I went to my dorm room and when I got near, this crazy girl named Enid came and made me wanna disappear. If anything I could say this girl was dead. But I thought: Nah, forget it, yo, lets see where this heads! ... I pulled off a crazy stunt, about seven or eight. I thought my room-mate would say: I'm out, smell ya later. But I looked into her eyes, and I was finally there. I found the future wife of Miss Wednesday Addams, yeah!"
Then as the song ended, a smiling Ana jumped off the stage and said, "So moms... what did you think?" Wednesday looked incredibly angry, as a nervous Enid noticed this, and then said, "Umm... I don't think that the spirit of those past events involving your mother and me were properly captured here. I think you need to update your approach." Then Ana said, "Hmm... Update my approach... Okay. Give me a bit of time. I think I can make something else that works." Then as Ana walked away, a furious looking Wednesday clenched her fists as she whispered to herself, "She's my child. I cannot harm her. She's my child. I cannot harm her." Then Enid put an arm around Wednesday as she said, "She didn't mean any harm babe." Then Wednesday's arms shook as she angerly whispered, "She's my child... and I... cannot... harm... her..."
Megan walked into her living room and looked surprised as she realized Harmony was sitting on the couch. Harmony with a confused tone said, "Megan... what are you doing here?" Then Harmony said, "Well... your mom invited me." Megan's mother then walked into the room as she said, "I did. Um... lets sit down." Megan and her mother then sat down near Harmony. Megan's mother sighed, and then said, "Megan... as you know... I grew up in a town where I was the only black kid in my school. I sometimes hated how I looked, and wished I could find other people like me. People didn't take kindly to those that looked different than them... and when I knew your brother was going to be even more different for the rest of his life, I knew we had to move. Now, your father and I moved to this town because we wanted to be in a more diverse and understanding community that would accept your brother as he is. And since we arrived... people love your brother regardless of his skin color or disability... and it's been amazing."
Megan smiled as she said, "I know. Edward smiles way more than he used to." Megan's mother nodded her head as she said, "The happiness I see in your brother's face when he makes friends now that see him for his spirit and his strengths, and not his struggles... well... it reminds me of when I first met your father. He didn't see me as a helpless black girl that needed some white savior... he saw me as a strong woman worthy of being his life long partner. Although as much as I want to boast at how I'm a strong independent woman... I couldn't have made it to where I am now without him. Every strong woman still needs someone else strong to help them through life. And Megan... I see another strong loving heart when I see the way Harmony looks at you. Now... I'm still worried how others may view your relationship. Unfortunately though... no matter what you do and what kind of person you choose to love... I sadly know some people in this world are always gonna make things difficult for you... but when you have an incredibly supportive person like this one by your side... it makes me realize... that you're gonna be okay." Then Megan gently grabbed Harmony's hand as she said, "So... you mean you're okay with..." Then Megan's mother smiled as she said, "Yes. I'm okay with you two dating."
Wednesday and Enid sat in the theater, as they saw Ana dressed on stage as Enid. As silly 2000's pop music played in the background, a smiling Ana sang, "It used to be my parents and my brothers and me. A very crazy dysfunctional family. Got sent to Nevermore; that's when everything changed. Some things were lost, and others were gained. A new school... a new dorm... so many changes, it makes my head crazy. Now I got a room-mate who wants to smother me! This is life with Wednesday. This is life with Wednesday. This is life with Ajax, Xavier, Bianca, Eugene, Yoko, and Enid. Livin' life with Wednesday. Livin' life with Wednesday!" The as the song ended, Ana looked at her mothers as she said, "So what did you think? I know that song is probably gonna work better with a Canadian audience, but I think there's enough people out there that will still like it." Meanwhile Wednesday began to look very furious as her body shook. Then a nervous Enid said, "Um... maybe your idea still needs some re-tooling."
Harmony and Megan were walking down the sidewalk as a smiling Harmony said, "So... I guess we're officially girlfriend and girlfriend now." Then a smiling Megan said, "Yeah. I guess we really are now. I wonder why my mom said don't do anything besides holding hands and kissing though." Then Harmony innocently said, "Yeah. I mean... what is there beyond holding hands and kissing anyway?" Then the two girls saw Wednesday, Enid, and Ana walking towards them. Enid smiled as she said, "Hey girls. We're about to go grab some dinner. Care you join us?" Megan smiled as she said, "Sure. So... what have you all been up to today?" Then a very excited Ana said, "Oh! I've been coming up with ideas for a new musical based on when our moms first met as teenagers. Wanna hear my latest idea?" Then a curious Megan said, "Well... sure." Then a smiling Ana began to dance, while with a big smile she sang, "Hey, Wednesday! Hey, Wednesday! It feels like a funeral everyday! Hey, Wednesday! Hey, Wednesday! But they keep throwing sunshine on my cloudy day. Hey, Wednesday! Hey, Wednesday! This new room-mate is turning my life upside down. She uses emojis; does Tik Tok dances all around. But she took a chance on the new girl in her dorm. And I suddenly like her form, form, form. Hey, Wednesday! Wooooo! Hey, Wednesday! Wooooo! It feels like a funeral everyday. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, Wednesday!"
Then Wednesday's face suddenly turned red as she looked like she was about to explode in anger. Then a nervous Enid handed Harmony some money as she said, "Umm... here's a hundred bucks kids. Have fun anywhere tonight while I try to cool your mother off at home." Then as Enid gently pushed Wednesday away, a confused Megan said, "What's up with your mother?" Then Ana innocently said, "I have no idea." Then as Harmony, Ana, and Megan walked off - behind a set of nearby bushes, a dark figure watched them. The dark figure then stood up, and revealed themselves to be a woman who looked just like Wednesday, but with completely black eyes, and slightly darker skin. The Dark Wednesday then squinted her eyes and said, "Soon, my children... the time shall be soon..."
THE END... or maybe not...
Epilogue
Harmony and Ana walked into their home as a smiling Harmony said, "Dang! A hundred bucks gets you so many tokens at the arcade! Plus, we got so many tickets! I can't believe we had enough tickets to get the giant stuffed bear!" Then an excited Ana said, "I'm gonna tell mother and mom about it right now!" Then Ana ran over to her parents' bedroom as she excitedly said, "Moms! Guess what!?" Then Ana opened the door to her parents' bedroom... only to see Wednesday and Enid were naked in bed, while Enid was on top of Wednesday upside down, and both women were licking the other's vagina. Ana froze in confusion, and as Wednesday and Enid both realized Ana was in the room - the women froze in horror. A horrified, nervous, and humiliated Enid then said, "Oh no..."
