Crazy trouble with love part 10

Star and Marco part 2

xxxxxxxxxxxx

"Zzzzzz…." Marco's snore echoed through his room, the young teen completely out of it while covered in a blanket that seemed a bit more bulky for his frame. As he snored he tried to roll over, moving the blanket enough to show a tuft of blonde hair just under the covers.

"Mmmm…" came the groan from the hair as it moved, the sheet moving as a result with Marco's snoring cut off as he began to slowly wake up.

"Zzzz….uh….." He groaned as his eyes began to open and he began to take in the world around him groggily. He smacked his lips and tried to rub his eyes, but noted his arm was held down by something. As he looked down in confusion he saw the blonde hair and he let out a groan in annoyance. "Staaaaaarrrr…."

"Mmmm…. Five more minutes…" Groaned the princess as Marco sighed, looking down at the princess who had his left arm in a vice grip.

"Staaaaarrr, come on….it's time to get up."

"Nooo, lemme sleep…" She groaned as Marco shook his head.

"C'mon, we can't stay in bed all day."

"Sure we can, like right now~" She cooed, looking at him lovingly as his face heated up.

"C-C'mon Star, again? What if my parents hear us again?!"

"Eh, let them, your mom gave me a highfive yesterday along with a wink." Star said smugly.

"That just proves my point!" Marco let out with a groan. "My mom keeps asking when we're going to tie the knot! I'm not ready to get married!"

"Oh relax Marco, we couldn't get married anyway." Star chuckled while poking his nose. "My parents would need to give their blessing first."

"Right, your royal, old fashioned parents, ones who I'm fairly sure would skin me alive if we knew what we were doing together?" Marco asked, paling at the idea.

"Aw come on, they'd love you!" Star said, rolling her eyes, but also making sure not to look Marco in his. "And I'm sure they'd only maim you a little…"

"See?!"

"Ah relax, it's not like we're going to be seeing them anytime soon, I'm not scheduled to see them for another three months!" Star said dismissively. "Which gives us plenty of personal time~"

"Wel….. ugh, fine, I can't say no to you for long." Marco sighed, with Star letting out an eager squeal of delight when suddenly a shrill cry began to ring through the air. He jumped and whipped his head around in a panic.

In contrast, Star let out a guttural, annoyed groan as she sat up, frowning. "Oh come on!"

"Star, what's going on?!" Marco cried, leaping from the bed.

"Ugh, calm down Marco, it's just the royal mail."

"Wait, mail?" He asked, still confused as Star got up, making her way towards her room and to her closet, opening it and digging around before pulling out what looked like a mailbox made out of a stump with a wooden bird atop it, who was screeching out until Star punched it.

"I heard ya already!" she growled as the bird went quiet before opening it up and reached inside, pulling out a fancy envelope. "Huh? Oh! It's from mom and dad!"

"Wait, your parents sent you mail? Don't you have magic mirrors?"

"It's a royalty thing… oh! They want me to come over for dinner tonight!" she smiled before letting out a gasp and looked at him with sparkles in her eyes. "You should come over and join us!"

"Uh, Star, I don't think that-" Marco started before pausing, and began to imagine what Star might do and say, specifically about what the two of them had been doing, without him there to keep her quiet and paled. "Uh, Star…. How comfortable do you feel about telling your mom and dad about what we do?"

"I don't see the big deal about keeping it from them." she answered casually without losing her smile.

"Wha- it could not be a bigger deal! You can't tell them!" he got out of bed and looked serious. "On second thought? I WILL come over for dinner."

"Awesome! This is gonna be so much fun! Now, where were we~?" she gave a seductive grin before Marco held his pillow in his arms.

"Oh no Star, no more cuddling. We need to get cleaned up and get ready."

"Noooo! You said we could!" Star groaned, crossing her arms with a pout.

"If we stay in bed we'll be rushing to get ready!"

"Oh c'mon! It's not for another… six hours! We can spend at least four of those having fun!" She protested after stealing a glance at the clock. "C'moooon, let mama have some of that good stuff~!"

"Star…" Marco groaned, holding his head in his hands before pausing, an idea coming to his mind. "Actually… how about a game instead? One where if you win, I'll let you do whatever you want all day TOMORROW, if you follow the rules."

"Ooooh! Tell me tell me tell me!" She said, her eyes lighting up in excitement.

"You have to be on your best behavior all day today, acting normal, and NOT mentioning what we do together in front of your parents at all until we get home."

"Oh please, easy." she smirked with her arms crossed.

"I mean it Star, not ONCE." He said, pointing at her sternly. "Because if you fail… no 'fun times' for a month!"

"WHAT?!" she gaped at him in sheer terror with Marco crossing his arms and putting on his best serious face.

"Yep, I'm serious. No sex, no cuddling, even no kisses, I'll move out if I have to, for a whole month, we won't even hold hands."

"NOOOOOOO!"

"Only if you lose the game though, remember what you can win!" Marco said quickly. 'And ignore the fact I'll be dead if you lose!'

"I refuse to lose!" She declared, standing up defiantly. "I will win my fun time with you! I SWEAR!"

"Alright, then let's get cleaned up, get dressed, and try to mentally prepare ourselves." he muttered the last part to himself.

"Alright! Let's do it!" Star said eagerly.

'I hope this works…'

(Later)

"Alright Marco, you ready?" Star asked, bouncing on her heels excitedly. 'Oh I bet he'll look so good, he's probably wearing a collared shirt, nice pants… mama wants- no! Keep it together girl!'

"Just about!" Marco called from the bathroom. "Do you think I should wear cologne? I want to look nice, but not look like I'm trying to look nice, otherwise your parents might think I'm trying to impress them, leading to them wondering why I'm impressing them to-"

"Marco, you're spiraling again." Star groaned. "It's just dinner with my parents, not some fancy party."

"I know, but I just want it to go well!" He protested.

"It'll be fine, now c'mon, we don't want to be late!"

"Ok ok, I'm coming out." He said before coming out of the bathroom, wearing a red collared shirt and black slacks.

"Looking hot~" she grinned, holding her cheeks with Marco blushing.

"Thanks… a-and just remember the deal Star, don't tell your parents about us and you win!"

"Relax Marco, my lips are sealed." She said with a grin, pulling out her interdimensional scissors. "Let's do this!"

She cut open a portal to Mewni, grabbing Marco's sleeve and tugging him through. In one fluid motion, they appeared outside Butterfly Castle.

"Mom! Dad! We're here!" She called eagerly as the gate began to lower.

Standing there on the other side were her parents, both smiling with River's arms held out.

"There's my girl! Welcome back home." He cheered as Star rushed forward, hugging him eagerly.

"It's good to see you darling… oh, and I see you brought your human friend." Moon spotted Marco giving an awkward smile and wave.

"Uh, hey there. Nice to meet you, uh, Star's mom." He said, awkwardly making his way over the drawbridge. "Um, Star suggested I come with, I hope that's alright?"

"Well, a bit of a last-minute addition, but I don't see why we can't have a guest over." the queen admitted, giving Star a glance and raised eyebrow who gave a bashful chuckle. "A quick heads up would have still been nice."

"Sorry mom, I meant to call but I got distracted." She admitted as River chuckled.

"Well, a friend of Star's is certainly a friend of ours! Come, my boy, dinner is ready!" he patted Marco on the back, nearly making Marco fall over as he led the two inside. "I hope you've got an appetite for corn."

"Of course, and thanks again for letting me join." Marco said quickly. "I mean, I know how awkward last minute changes can get and how much it can be a pain for everyone, so I was a bit concerned if this was ... .awkward." he finished, stopping himself from going on a ramble.

"It's fine, I'm well familiar with my daughter's habit of doing things on a whim, her inviting a guest over for dinner is hardly cause for alarm," Moon said as they made their way into a grand dining room. The long table in the center was littered with numerous freshly made dishes, mainly comprised of corn.

Marco sat himself across from Star while Moon and River took the end seats on either side of the table, and soon they were digging into the meal. Star and River were digging into their meal with ravenous hunger, while Moon and Marco paced themselves.

Marco was impressed, not only by how fresh and delicious the corn was, but by how Star was conducting herself. Even though the night had begun, she'd been acting nothing like the lovesick Mewni girl he'd known the last month. Instead, she was acting completely normal, or at least as normal as someone like Star could be. He couldn't help but smile as he ate, thinking that just maybe she could pull it off.

"So, Star, tell me, have you had any good fights on earth? I know they don't have quite the beasts we have, but surely you've found one to mount and fight for dominance with?" River asked between bites.

"Well I tried finding something big enough to carry me, but then me and Marco got kicked out of the zoo when I tried mounting these cool animals they have called 'zebras'." Star said with a mild pout, her eyes glancing at Marco. 'Though I did find something else I enjoy riding~'

"Oooh, zebras eh? Tell us, are they wild, giant, snarling beasts that could eat a man's head clean off?" River asked with restraint and excitement.

"Not quite, they're a type of wild animal that is similar to a donkey, with a black and white striped pattern on them." Marco explained quickly.

"Ah, I see. The patterns are to show all the other creatures they're dangerous and seeped in venom, clever." River nodded with Marco sweat dropping.

'Ok Marco, let them think that, maybe if they think Zebra's are venomous Star won't try to eat them again.'

"Sounds a bit wild." Moon let out with a raised eyebrow at her daughter. "You haven't been causing too much trouble I take it?"

"Not too much, I don't start any fights, I promise!" Star said quickly. "And I certainly haven't been going to other dimensions to party!"

"Hmmm." Moon let out a sound that showed suspicion with Marco clearing his throat.

"Actually, she's been taking schoolwork REAL seriously. Got her to sit down and focus so she's been doing pretty good in school." Marco said quickly before Moon could ask any follow up questions. "She's starting to do better since I started tutoring her a bit too."

"Good to hear," River spoke before biting into his corn. "Learning is always important, I hope Marco has been riding you hard on keeping atop your studies!"

"Oh absolutely." she grinned, making Marco blush. "He doesn't let me rest for anything except when we need a water break."

"That's good, perhaps he can finally make a good student out of you." Moon said, missing the look on Marco's face.

"S-Sure, I always look over her work. Gotta make sure she doesn't slack off." he tried to give a reassuring smile and keep his tone even. 'C'mon Star, keep it together, for my sake at least!' He thought, glancing at the princess.

"Have you been getting along with others?" her mother asked.

"Pretty well, I have a few friends like Janna, but I definitely feel like I've gotten along best with Marco."

"Well, I should hope so; butting heads under the same roof doesn't usually end well. Take it from me, I was the lucky one." River spoke up.

"Yeah, luckily we don't butt heads on much stuff except who gets to use the bathroom first." Star smiled. "That and getting out of bed in the morning."

"Well that's reassuring." smiled Moon.

'Star, please stop giving them details with double meanings!' Marco thought, shoving more corn into his mouth in an attempt to disguise his blush.

"Gotta say, being sent to Earth was awesome! Thanks guys, you're the best."

"That's excellent to hear, it sounds like you're learning responsibility over there, I'm glad we made the right choice." Moon said with a smile. "And Marco ahs certainly been a good influence as well.

"The absolute best." Star said, sighing happily. "He really is the best~"

'This… is going pretty well.' thought Marco, relaxing his shoulders as Moon wiped at her mouth. 'Maybe I need to just relax and enjoy the meal.'

"So Star, is there anything else you want to tell us about Earth, are you adjusting well, are you having fun?" Moon asked casually. "That is the reason we invited you over tonight."

"Oh, it's been just fantastic mom!" She grinned. "It's so much fun, and Marco is great!"

"Well that's wonderful news." chuckled her dad while popping a whole ear of corn in his mouth as he chewed it without issue. "He is certainly an outstanding boy, a man of fine quality and character!"

"Yup, me and Marco had so much fun in his bed, I feel like a brand new girl!" Star said absentmindedly. "Can you pass the butter please?"

"Sure thing." Marco let out, grabbing the platter and handing it over to the princess. Once Star took the small dish, however, what she'd actually said finally registered and he froze. His eyes widened while Moon nearly spat her drink out as River bit a bite of corn that went down his throat and got stuck..

"Uh…come again?" Moon let out.

"He was so great, he filled every hole in me~" She smiled with a blush, Marco paling as River managed to hack his corn out and gasped for air with Moon narrowing her eyes. She happily spread the butter across her corn, unaware of the disaster happening in front of her.

"Star, are you telling us that you two-" Moon started, her face turning red with outrage.

"Fucked like rabbits!" She cheered with Marco sweating as Moon and River turned to him with frowns.

"Uh, i-it's not what you think! On Earth, fucked like rabbits is...is a new way of saying...raced each other around the school." he tried to lie, and failing.

"No it's not~" Star chuckled. "We had so much fun having sex, it was nuts!"

"Star!" He let out before finding himself tackled by a furious River.

"You bastard! How dare you seduce my daughter!" He yelled while shaking Marco by the scruff of his hoodie. "After we trusted you!"

"N-No, I didn't-"

"Liar!" He roared as Star blinked, only to gasp in horror as it finally hit her what she had just admitted.

"OH MY GOSH! Marco I'm sorry!" Star cried out, holding her hands to her mouth in horror. "I didn't mean to tell them, it was an accident, I swear! I-it was like a reflex, I'm sorry!"

Marco let out a wheeze as he tried to wriggle out of River's hold, but the man held on strong with Moon standing up with narrowed eyes.

"River, don't kill him yet." She said, her calm face just as terrifying as River's furious one as she made her way to Star. "Star? Explain, now."

"I-I swear it's not as bad as you think! Really! Marco's a great guy!" She said frantically. "I really love him, I do! Ever since I went through mewberty I-"

"Mewberty?!" her dad let out, loosening his grip enough to let Marco get air back before narrowing his eyes at the boy. "Ah ha! So you decided to put your devious moves on my little girl during a HUGE part of her life!"

"No! Wait! I panicked!" Marco said frantically. "She was going after this other guy; I just wanted to keep herself from getting hurt, and then she went crazy!"

Moon turned back to her daughter while crossing her arms. "Star? Is this true?"

"Well… it's possible I may have…. Been influenced during mewberty by some… pre-existing feelings…" Star admitted nervously. "But I'm myself now and I still love him!"

"So you two really did go that far."

"I'll squeeze your head off!" River growled, making Marco panic and try harder to break free.

"Daddy no! Stop it!" Star cried out as Moon sighed.

"River, let him breathe, we have a new problem." she looked at Star with a disappointed expression. "Star, we sent you there to keep you safe and so you could learn responsibility, not to do this."

"I swear, I clean up every time! I even ran checks on me to be double sure!" Star protested. "I'm still myself, this is just what I want, I want to be with him!"

"Well you'll certainly get that." she rubbed the bridge of her nose before turning to Marco. "You, Marco. I assume my daughter never told you about a very serious rule of the Butterfly family should something like this happen?"

"Uh…..no." he let out meekly. "I didn't know-"

"The rule is; that in the event that the future ruler of Mewni engages in… intimate… acts with someone of her own free will, and has declared she loves him, there is only one thing we can do."

"Moon? Dear? Please don't say it." River let out desperately. "Not him, not after he defiled our little girl!"

"He didn't defile me!" Star shouted in protest, only for them both to go quiet as the Queen cleared her throat.

"There will be a wedding to make the relationship official in the eyes of Mewni."

"...WHAT?!/YES!" Marco and Star shouted out respectively at the news.

"Yes, so please stop choking our…. Future son-in-law." Moon said, glaring at Marco.

River wanted to argue, but even he knew she was right; as much as he wished it wasn't. He dropped Marco to the ground who rushed to stand up before Star ran over and glomped onto him with a smile.

"T-This can't be, I, I… I'm too young to get married!" Marco tried to protest.

"C'mon Marco, it'll be great! We get to be together forever! Isn't that perfect?" Star asked happily.

"Star! We're still in school!" he let out, turning to Moon. "Please, your majesty! I know we crossed a line, a-and I'm not gonna try and deny that, but we're not old enough to get married!"

"I would agree, but the law is the law. The only other recourse available would be to hide this affair by disposing of you, but unfortunately, we can't do that." Moon looked at her husband who glared at Marco. "River? Don't get any ideas please."

River just growled in annoyance but made no attempt to strangle Marco again.

"Look, I swear I won't say a word to anyone! I'm not a blabbermouth, really!" Marco tried to let out while blushing at Star nuzzling against him. "Star, please, not now!" he whispered to her, trying to stay serious.

"Why not? What else do I have to lose? Mom and Dad know now, we're going to get married, everything is perfect!"

"Marriage is a huge deal! I haven't even graduated school!" he paled as something clicked in his head. "Wait…if we get married…will I become a prince?! OH NO! I'll have to worry about a lot more other stuff! Oh man, I already had enough on my plate when it came to tests!"

"Now now, while you will become a prince, that doesn't mean you'll have any duties." Moon cut in, making him pause. "At least not until Star becomes queen of Mewni."

"But you will treat her like the royalty she is in the meantime and keep your hands off of her!" Added River in frustration.

"But…But I-" Marco protested, unable to form words.

"Can we get married tonight? Pleeeeeaaaaase?" Star whined.

"I'll get the wedding planners. River? Talk to the chefs and let them know we'll need a last minute banquet prepared."

"...Fine." The King muttered, turning to leave.

"As for you two? I will contact the best seamstresses to get you two outfitted." Moon said, before narrowing her eyes. "In the meantime, stay here, and do NOT do anything else besides sit there, do you understand?!"

"Y-Y-Yes ma'am." Marco nodded quickly before giving Star a nudge who nodded back.

"You got it mom." Star responded as Moon sighed in frustration.

"I swear, I never thought I'd have to arrange this for my daughter…" She muttered as she turned to leave.

They watched the woman leave them alone before Star smiled and started bouncing on her feet with Marco holding his head as he started sweating.

"Marriage? Now?! Oh man oh man, I know what she said, but that's still a HUGE thing! I mean, what will my parents say when they hear this? Will they be happy? Upset? Both?"

"We'll just have to see, but this is still great! We get to get married together!" she hugged him tightly, rubbing her cheek against his back which helped a LITTLE in calming Marco, but not entirely.

"Star, don't you think this is all moving too fast? I mean, do they just expect me to walk down the aisle with a sword to my back?"

"Eh, probably not a sword exactly." she remarked, making him turn to her.

"Star? What do you mean by that?"

"Weeelll… a few weeks ago I sent him a gift I found that he might be using at the wedding…"

"Star? What kind of gift are we talking about?"

(Timeskip)

Marco had sweat going down his face, standing tall and firm, and hoping River didn't pull the trigger on the SHOTGUN he had in his hands with the barrel aimed at him at the altar. 'A shotgun, of course, it just HAD to be a shotgun!' He thought, glancing at the weapon in growing worry. 'Spear my ass Star! I really need to monitor her shopping more if I survive this!'

"We are gathered here today, to bring these two souls together in holy matrimony, in accordance with the will of magic." spoke the short pastor, having to need a step stool to be seen as he opened a book with glasses. "It is a time where we witness the binding of princess Star Butterfly, and Marco, for all time."

'This is really happening, isn't it?' Marco thought as the pastor's words began to hit him. 'Is…Is there a way out of this? Some kind of shenanigans Star can pull?' He thought, pulled out of his thoughts as the doors to the chapel opened in concert with the organ music, and he saw his soon to be bride making her way in, and Marco found himself going stiff, as if he was frozen in place.

She was dressed up in her white dress; though it was a bit big, the dress a rush job, she still looked fantastic in it, but it wasn't the dress that made him pause, it was her face. She had the biggest smile he had ever seen and looked like she was close to skipping, but reigned it in with her hands held in front of her. It was a look of pure joy, anticipation, and that was when, like a rampaging unicorn, the reality of his and Star's odd relationship hit him.

Sure, Star might be overeager, have a high libido, but that didn't take away from the fact that she genuinely cared for him. Sure while they might be having fun in the bed, they still had long conversations together at night, they shared their hopes and dreams, and while it might not be what he imagined a relationship would be like, there was no denying that they were in one. On top of that, it was clear that Star truly loved him, and more so, she truly wanted THIS. She wanted to be married to him, and as he rolled that fact over in his mind he came to the conclusion that he had no problem with that. Sure, he might oppose the way they got engaged, he might not be enjoying the trigger happy soon to be father-in-law glaring at him, but everything else? That he was more than happy with.

Star reached the altar, looking at him with happiness that made him smile back and feel his heartbeat pick up, but this time? It wasn't from dread, but from the fact that he and Star were truly going to cross into a major milestone for both of them, and it felt nice.

"Now, before we continue, does anyone oppose the union of these two souls together in marriage?" The pastor asked, and a hush fell over the chapel, only broken by the sound of River cocking the shotgun in anticipation of a refusal that would never come. "Very well, let us continue."

He went on to talk about various things that Marco couldn't follow at all, especially since he swore he could see tears welling up in Star's eyes and felt his face heat up.

'Man, this is gonna be REAL hard to break to my folks. Then again, with how Star is? She might beat me to it.'

"Now then, let us get to the meat of the ceremony. Do you, Star Butterfly, take this young man to be your husb-"
"YES!" Star screamed so loud it echoed through the hall, but most barely flinched at the volume with the girl looking like she would explode from happiness any second.

"Very well, and do you, Marco… da-ez?" The pastor asked, pausing as he tried to pronounce Marco's last name. "Take this woman to be your bride?"

"I do." he nodded with a smile, seeing the tears start running down Star's cheeks as the preacher nodded.

"Then by the will of magic, in the name of Mewni, and in front of the king and queen themselves? I pronounce your souls bonded in holy matrimony; you may kiss the bride." The preacher pronounced before Marco's world suddenly lurched as Star launched herself at him like a football player, tackling him to the ground as she pulling him into a kiss.

The guests all clapped and cheered with Moon having to dab at her eyes with a tissue to dry her own tears with River lowering the gun.

"I suppose I'll have to wait for another day…" The King muttered to himself, silenced by a jab from his wife.

(Later)

Cutting to the after party, the guests were mingling and enjoying the feast with several congratulating the happy couple with Star clinging to Marco's arm with said boy blushing.

"Ahhh~, it's a dream come true~"

"Heh, glad to hear Star, but did your dream involve me getting some feeling back in my arm?"

"Not until later~" She chuckled with a smile as Marco rolled his eyes playfully.

"Very well, honey." He said, enjoying the high pitch squeal that came out of Star as a result of the nickname.

"Oooh, you are SO gonna get it mister~" she purred with an expression he was use to.

"Sounds good, but until then, can I have this dance?" He asked, gesturing at the dance floor where several guests were dancing.

"Oh heck yeah!" She said, eagerly moving to the dance floor, and soon they were holding each other as they swayed to the music. As they danced, Star looked up on him, a look of slight worry on her face. "Uh… Marco? I know it might be too late to be asking this but… are you ok with this?"

"Well, I won't lie. If you told me I was gonna get married to a chaotic princess who turned out to be my best friend before we met? I'd ask if you hit your head, but now? After all the stuff we've done, the adventures we've had, and the crazy fun you brought in my life? I'd have to say…big time." he leaned in and whispered the last part before giving her a peck on the cheek.

The look of relief and joy on Star's face made all the insanity that had happened before more than worth it as the two kept dancing, enjoying the other's company. She layed her head against his chest, closing her eyes while they held the other close.

Over with her parents, Moon was smiling with River eating some corn, and looking conflicted.

"Mmm, I know what you're thinking dear."

"Oh? And what would that be?"

"That I'm going to give the boy a hard time now for the rest of his life married to our daughter, well that's where you are incorrect. He didn't make a move to run, and….I admit….Star is genuinely happy, so…I am willing to try and get over it so long as he treats her right." River remarked, finishing his cob of corn. "Of course I'll be taking the boy out for a hunting trip later to make sure he gets the message, but besides that? Those two are happy together, and we've heard nothing bad about the boy from Star before, so I say we give them a shot."

"I hope you mean metaphorically."

"I had a clear shot and could have taken it! Course if he DID try to run, I could have still landed it with my eyes closed."

Moon rolled her eyes, a small smile growing on her face. Despite her husband's insistence on being able to shoot the luckless human, he was still right. As she watched Star and Marco dance, she saw no sign of either being uncomfortable, having second guesses, they genuinely looked like they were happy with what had happened. She stood up and turned to her husband with her hand held out. "Shall we share a dance? It's been a while."

"Don't mind if I do my dear." he smiled, taking her hand before they moved to the dance floor.

(Later)

Marco laughed at Star's joke, a smile on his face as he sat at a table with her, the remains of some wedding cake in front of them. The night had gone well, and it was getting late, yet the two seemed in no rush to leave. Partly due to Marco having no idea WHERE to go after the reception, but that was a minor detail.

"It's true! Ponyhead would lose it if she found out I told someone. Then again, I can't keep any secrets from my husband~" Star sang with a grin before covering her mouth. "Sorry, it's just…it sounds like a dream every time I say it."

"It's fine Star, and I have to admit it's nice to hear my wife call me that." Marco responded with a grin. As he watched Star smile at her new title, he saw two familiar figures approaching their table, his newly ordained step-parents.

"Well you two, I'd say that was quite the wedding." Moon complimented with a smile. "But it's starting to get late and I think we all could use some rest."

"Yeah, it was a great ceremony and reception, thank you for setting it up." Marco said, trying not to get on their bad side. "I was hoping I could borrow a guest room for tonight, I don't want to return home in a tuxedo, I need time to figure out how to explain this to mom and dad."

"Hey, you don't need a guest room, you can stay with me in my-I mean, OUR room." Star piped up with eagerness.

"Star is… correct." Moon said slowly, as if she was still grasping that concept. "Since you two are married, I see no reason why the two of you can't stay in a room together."

"But only for sleeping." River piped up firmly. "I'd rather not get woken up early because of 'noises'."

"Got it daddy!" Star said eagerly, nodding happily.

"Thank you ma'am, sir." Marco agreed, eyes wide. 'They're just going to let us sleep together, after everything they know? Huh, didn't expect that…'

"Don't worry Marco, I've got LOTS of space for the two of us~" Star whispered in his ear, making him blush before she started pulling him by the arm with her mother shaking her head.

"I hope they don't make us grandparents THIS soon." Moon whispered to River who huffed in annoyance before perking up.

"I wouldn't mind having some young ones to mentor… maybe this marriage will have some upsides."

"So you want them to wake us up while breaking in Star's bed?" Moon asked dryly.

"NO! I…gah, why do I want something to happen but don't want the process needed to make that thing ever happen?!" he cried out in despair.

"Don't think too hard on it River. Come along, we best get our rest or we'll be up all night." Moon said as she began to lead her disgruntled husband away to their chambers. 'Don't do anything stupid Star… but do enjoy your wedding night sweetie.'

Cutting to the happy couple, they reached Star's room with said girl locking the door and giving Marco THAT look.

"Star? I know what you're thinking."

"What? I'm just thinking what every woman is thinking on their wedding night~" she reached behind her dress and started to undo the buttons. "Besides, did you REALLY think we were just gonna go to sleep? Nuh uh! Mama is still hungry~"

"Star, are you sure? What if your parents hear us?"

"Well, then our honeymoon will just start sooner than expected, now let's get those pants off~"

Marco was about to protest before sighing and giving her a grin. "I suppose… happy wife, happy life?"

"Oh we're BOTH gonna be REAL happy tonight~" Star remarked eagerly.

(Later)

"Ok Star, just… please let me try to explain things ok?" Marco asked as they stood in front of the portal he'd cut back home. "We don't want a repeat of how it went with your parents."

"Relaaax, I got this Marco! I can keep my mouth shut for a bit." Star grinned happily.

'I know for a fact you can't, but it's not like we have any other options.' he thought before they walked through the portal and arrived back in his living room. He cleared his throat and looked around. "Mom? Dad? We're back!"

"Marco!" He heard his Mom call before his parents quickly began to make their way downstairs. "Where were you? You two just disappeared on us yesterday, why didn't you let us know you were staying the night in Mewni?"

"Sorry. We went to have dinner with Star's parents and…well…you might wanna sit down because it got a bit…bigger." He admitted cautiously, trying to find the right way of breaking the news to the two of them. "Some… information about me and Star's relationship came up and well… it escalated things a bit when Star's parents heard."

"Wait…so…they know about…." his dad questioned with surprise, getting a slow nod out of Marco with a blush. "Ah, I see, I guess they didn't take it well and you had to flee the castle?"

"Not….exactly. We actually stuck around longer for a banquet, and feast, along with a…special party." He said, glancing at Star and saw she was practically vibrating in anticipation. 'Ok, got to get to the point before Star just tells them outright.' He thought as he cleared his throat. "They uh…. They kind of held a last minute… wedding?"

"Oh! That sounds wonderful." his mom smiled. "Who got married?"

"Us! We got married! I married Marco and I loved it!" Star shouted, eagerly showing off her new wedding ring.

"Star!" Marco cried out as his parents looked at them in shock.

"I'm sorry! I couldn't hold it in!"

"This… this is amazing! Congratulations!" Rafael said, smiling at the two newlyweds.

"You got married without us?!" Angie let out, sounding hurt and distressed.

"I'm sorry mom! It came out of nowhere and was last minute, so we didn't get a chance to really send out any invites! The only people that showed up were whoever Star's parents could find on hand."

"Well that won't do! Before you two go on your honeymoon you're going to have a real wedding, with us!"

"I'll get started on the invites!" Rafael piped up with eagerness.

"Good, and Marco, go and find us a cake; I should have my wedding dress, we should be able to get Star into it."

"Mom, I'm not really sure-" Marco started before Star cut him off.

"Sounds great! Oh this is gonna be fun Marco! Twice the cake, we get to have our other friends attend, a second wedding night~" She listed off, whispering the last one into his ear.

"Do you ever run out of steam?" he whispered back.

"Never~" She chuckled with a grin.

(Timeskip)

"And that's how me and your father got married twice!" Star finished with a pleased smile, head on Marco's shoulder who rubbed her back. "Ahhh, still feels like just yesterday~"

"Yep, it was a crazy week for sure." Marco said with a nod. "Plus that's not even including the bachelor and bachelorette parties we had before the second wedding."

"Wow, that was….amazing." smiled their daughter, letting out a mental sigh of relief at how she was worried it would be worse. She cleared her throat and looked at them curiously. "So, what happened after you two got married? Did you have to move out of grandma and grandpa's house?"

"Well we stuck by for a bit longer, but they did help us save up money to get a place for our own. Just because your mom was a princess at the time didn't mean her parents were gonna just pay for everything." Marco informed with a chuckle.

"And that's why we tell you the importance of hard work." Star pointed out seriously. "It sucks we know, but trust us when we say it WILL help you as you grow up."

"Got it, will do!" Their daughter said with a nod. 'Wow, ending the story on a life lesson instead of something explicit mom and dad did, that's a welcome change.'

"And when the second wedding was done? BOY did we get right down to trying every and I mean EVERY single position in the book~" smiled Star, making Marco facepalm. "I had to learn several new spells just to clean the room up, let alone the wooden floors."

"Oh come on!" Their daughter cried out, covering her eyes as she tried to banish the mental images that statement had materialized in her mind. "I don't want to know that!"

"The book was called the Kama Sutra and we kept trying to make another baby, but most of your father's baby juice landed everywhere else BUT where it needed to be." Star kept going before gasping and looked at Marco. "That reminds me Marco! We need to ask our little girl how she'd feel about being a big sister."

'At this point i'm surprised I'm not one yet.' She thought in frustration.

'I love her, I really really do, but damn it Star, you're gonna make our daughter turn into an angsty teenager before she goes to school!' Marco thought with exasperation, his wife not looking bothered.

'Ahh, I love my life~'
