Erik had not realized that he said his thoughts aloud, he saw Kunzite and Azurite looking at him curiously wondering why he was so absent minded
Erik cleared his throat about ready to explain himself only to be interrupted by Kunzite "he might have accidentally spoke his thoughts aloud Rose" Kunzite said eating his food
Erik was surprised that Kunzite was helping him out "y.yes it was merely a slip of the tongue, I was entranced in my thoughts...I hadn't noticed that I said it aloud
"Ah...is that so" Rosegold said clearing her throat as she looked away flustered and blushing which caused Erik to blush in embarrassment at his own response
Kunzite had a look of indifference while Azurite looked pretty annoyed "I can't stand this romantic atmosphere, get a room you two" Azurite hissed
"Oh..." Rosegold said as her smile turned devious and teasing "could you possibly be jealous because you have yet to meet your soulmate" Rosegold said smirking
"You wanna go...I'll take you on here and now" Azurite said pulling his sleeves up ready for a fight making Kunzite facepalm at the scene
Erik watched as the younger twin and youngest daughter argue, then he looked over at Kunzite who looked like he was about ready to snap for once
Kunzite took out a cigarette and bit into it lighting it up with his lighter as he slowly inhaled and let exhaled letting out a puff of smoke which caused Rosegold and Azurite to cough
"W.what the hell...cough cough...Kunzite you said you stopped smoking" Azurite said coughing "you two irritate me with your dumb arguments" Kunzite said
This made both Rosegold and Azurite flinch "he started it" Rosy said pouting "I don't care who started it...I'm going to end it" Kunzite said tapping his foot on the ground looking less than calm
"Azurite you may not have found your soulmate yet but that doesn't give you the reason to start an argument just because your jealous" Kunzite said scoldingly
"Rosegold just because you have Erik does not mean you get to purposely provoke Azurite for not having a soulmate...so don't brag so nonchalantly like that" Kunzite scolds
Azurite and Rosegold knew this was Kunzite telling them both to stop acting like immature children and Apologized to each other "I'm sorry" they both said in unison
Erik was a bit baffled but then couldn't help thinking to himself 'is this his way of getting them to make up...it's pretty effective to say the least...'
Later in the day after dinner...
Erik helped Kunzite clean the dishes, which was a perfect opportunity for Erik to have a one on one talk with his stoic faced Brother-in-law
Erik cleared his throat as he was about to speak "do you want to ask me something?" Kunzite asked still scrubbing the dishes with the soap
"You seem to be the calmest of your brother and sister...yet you pretend to be upset when they argue? Why's that?" Erik asked curiously
Kunzite washed off the soap from the dishes and cleaned off his hands "I don't like it when they argue it makes me...not angry...but depressed" Kunzite said
Erik was surprised at this response "I wasn't always this emotionless, at one point in my life I wanted to end it all...only because I wasn't given a soulmark" Kunzite said
"I feel quite envious of my brother and sister...they deserve to be happy, yet I don't want them to worry about me...I focus on making them happy so I can be happy too" Kunzite said
Kunzite leaned against the counter and looked at the ground "I'm doing it for their sake rather than mine...I'm not going to dwell on something I can't have" Kunzite said
Erik felt sympathy for Kunzite because he felt that as well when he realized he couldn't have Christine as his own and put a hand on his shoulder
"I'm sure you'll get someone one day, have faith in yourself" Erik said in a comforting way making Kunzite's eyes widen slightly then closed his eyes
Kunzite gives a rare smile with closed eyes "My sister...really is lucky to have a soulmate like you around" he said making Erik surprised but thankful that Kunzite approved of him
