Out in a high way in the Badlands, heading out of the neighborhood. Aqua was riding her glider and following along an yellow car. Beside her was an Ursula racing with a Silvally and a Togekiss flying high. The bear was carrying Terra, the chimera Daphne and the Jubilee Ven, all the while Litzia had her blade turn into a witches broom and used it to fly behind. Trailing behind them was Great Tusk and Donphan, rolled up into tires and out pacing the lot. Earl was left quite impressed as he kept to the wheel. "Oh, they're on a roll." They found a spot on the side to park, connecting to light grassy plains and craggy canyons. As the lot stopped, the Megalosaurus asked in an attempt to remember a fast lesson. "If I'm guessing right, this ought to be the other hot spot for any of those ground guys, the rock heads and any fire types that... wouldn't want to be living in the Volcano."
He stared blankly, thinking he remembers most of the description correctly, Daphne got off of Chimery and let the driver know. "The lava's something only the select few of fire types can even survive in. Heatran for example is known to migrate through the lower crust of the planet. The hot, hot sun rays are an alternative that some fire types are comfortable with. In fact, they have more more in common with certain rock and ground types too, who would take in the dryness and steer clear from water unless it's to drink."
She started a march as the band got themselves ready. "So let's look around. Robbie, you go with-" She wiggled a finger to Ven and Terra. "These two." and did the same guessing to Charline and Yanmy. "Charline could use some insight on Yanmy." She asked the ladies. "Aqua, Litzia, you know your pokemon well enough?"
The two nodded and had Charline come along as Daphne prioritize the odd one of the bunch. "As for you Earl, someones' gotta keep on eye on you, just in case they see you as a defenseless target."
Earl took offense and stomped out. "Defenseless?! I'll have you know, I am the Might Megalosaurus. The Great Lizard!" Robbie took his chance at his father's expense. "Yeah, but when you have monsters who will use flamethrower breaths, smog and can run you over with a bull dozer..." His tone turned more serious. "you're going to get killed."
Charline's amused at her own chance to tease her father. "Never thought Dad would get into what the kids are doing."
Earl got out of the car stubbornly. "It's a fad, you'll be over it when these guys are brought over to some conservation program." Daphne cringed. "Sheesh, you don't got to be too old to help another out. Like it or not, you gotta adapt to survive." She has Chimery on guard as Robbie took out a pokeball and let Kroko out. Ven, Terra, Robbie and theri companions headed to the plains as the ladies and their companions headed to the canyon.
Leaving Daphne with the Megalosaurus and checked the cragged land scape while walking down the road. "Now, let's see." She had Earl follow her. "Let me know if we run into a local."
The Megalosaurus found that eagerness fool hardy as the girl noticed a shrubbery with burrows. The girl signaled that the Dinosaur stays by the Silvally as she crouched and sneaked behind a rock, finding a trio of distinct mammals that were watching something in a burrow and stepping back as dirt was sent flying. Bursting out was a ball of brown spikes that landed, unrolled and presented a collection of bugs for the locals, showing a light yellow hedgehog with a set of two nail claws and dark blue eyes. A Sandslash. The right specimen for the average joe.
Daphne took out a smoke bomb and tossed it as a ways to make a smoke screen, stepping into it as the Sandslash was distracted while the mammals noticed the gray cloud. "Hey, what's that doing there?"
Sandslash turned and was drawn by the noise of a tossed rock, exposing his back to a quick ball.
Tap! Shake! Bop! Click!
The mammals were off guard by the sudden capture as Daphne stepped out and gave the Alolan Greeting. "Alola and sorry about that one. He needs to be relocated and this guy needs a body guard in case we run into some bigger monsters."
Chimery lead Earl into the conversation, the mammals weren't impressed. "You mean this guy?!" They looked at each other and smirked in mischief. "You could get a jog from our friend here."
Earl stomped against the disrespect. "Oh I'll start jogging when I've decided to have you three for dinner. I could use a good chase!" Daphne puffed her cheeks at the roaring Dinosaur and stood in between the two parties. "Hey, out here, we're all friends."
She opened the ball to let out a Sandslash that was in a daze, realize he was surrounded and readied his claws, the girl crouched and got on her knees. "Hey, Sandslash. I got a big job for you."
The kind aura brought the hedgehogs attention, he watched the girl point a thumb to Earl. "If you see any dark monsters wanting a go at him, protect him." The Sandslash understood as Daphne used the Dex to get a read at his capabilities, she grew more hopeful. "Okay this can work. Sand Rush for an ability. Swords dance, bulldoze, rapid spin and knock off for the moves." She thought out loud as she stood up. "I should ask the magic guys if they can help conjure up sandstorms... but for now, you're quite the specimen."
Sandslash blushed and scratched himself. (Well... I have worked around these sands for a bit.) He looked up to Earl and turned to wave to the mammals with the grubs. (Take care guys, try not to get eaten.)
The mammals waved back and went into their burrows, letting Sandslash join the party as Daphne spotted something further ahead and lead, she tossed the ball to Earl. "So, now that you got a partner, you should know that sometimes a pokemon won't know exactly what to do without a strong voice to guide them. Unless you see a ghost, repeat after me. Rapid spin out of there, swords dance and bull doze them away!"
Earl grumbled. "This is ridiculous." Daphne clapped. "Repeat!" Earl hand wave that he's listened the first time. "Alright, alright. Spin out of there, dance a little and bull doze them."
Sandslash gave a squeak as Chimery huffed. (Close enough.) The hedgehog rolled up and spun for speed before dancing in vigor and leaping ahead to smash into the earth, making a shock wave that bulldozed some stones into dust. Earl's stubbornness made way for amazement. "Say that's actually not bad. I'll bet we can pave a hill down and make a house in half the time with these guys."
Chimery laughed as Daphne showed a wide smile. "You can say that where I come from, that's what construction workers and certain pokemon are capable of doing." Earl was even more convinced. "Richfield is crazy to want these guys outta here. We can make productive stuff together."
Shortly, they saw something going on at a distant pond with dry patches of plants. A mud brown horse with orange hooves, an orange muzzle and dreadlocks stomped away for the water to flow, giving moisture to the local fauna and the birds. Daphne used this one as an example as she readied to let out Ola'ola.
Pop!
"Good for labor and sometimes they can produce valuable goods for improve building. Mudsdale's mud is good for pottery and use to be something houses were made from." She advised to the Dinosaur. "You're taking the lesson to heart, but facing a physical attacker like Sandslash against a Mudsdale is-" She paused in a second. "not advised. So, you should let us handle this."
Earl wanted to see how the great horse fights and invited Sandslash for a show as the girl approached from the side. "Hey Mudsdale." The horse saw the girl approaching and turned mellowy, finding a Dinosaur watching as the girl gave a gracious bow. "It's time we get you to a new home. So you'll need be in a ball." She snapped her fingers at her Ribombee. "Ola'ola. Stun spore!"
The bee fly twirled fast and unleashed yellow powder, stunning the Horse that gave it his all for a heavy slamming leap. Daphne cringed. "Roll away!"
Ribombee did so and dodged the slam before tossing a barrage of moon blasts. Mudsdale took one blast and found himself unable to move, he took another as the girl stepped back and readied a heal ball. Tossing fast and show casing how a pokemon of nearly any size can fit in one of those. Bop! Bop! Bop! Shake...shake...shake... click!
Another capture from an expert.
Daphne picked the ball up and brought out the Mudsdale, who looked hearty and healthy. She gave him a pet on the side as he relaxed. "There we go." She checked the Dex for any data. "So the ability matches what I was afraid of. He knows High horse power, sand storm, body press and heavy slam." She gave Earl the heal ball and instructed. "So, this is what you have with you. Mudsdale's pretty slow but he can take some damage. Especially on the physical side. Stamina means the more he's hit, the greater his defenses can become. Which compliments body press, that grows stronger for the high defense. Sandstorm also happens to be what Sandslash needs to speed up."
Earl put together what it means. "So he takes a beating and keeps working through it?" It sounds familiar to the conditions he's use to working in and wanted to make a point clear. "Look kid, that is purely coincidental." His voice turned cheerful as he welcomed the Horse like he's kin. "But I'm liking it." He asked the Mudsdale. "Who knew we'd have something in common." The Mudsdale laughed with the Dinosaur. (It's a nice surprise, my friend!)
The merry three continued onward for what felt like half an hour, with Daphne tagging along and watching the search. It wasn't long until there was sight of a small oasis with lush grass, distinct trees and a gorgeous view. Earl was quite pleased and lead the way in. "Say, I didn't know this grows all the way over here." On a step in the grass, he appreciated the natural view. "Plenty of water, lots of grass, I'll bet if your car breaks down on the way to town, this can be a good stop to wait for help." Close to the waters edge is a light green hill with a light brown tree that had light green leaves, Earl approached the rising sapling. "Look, there's even a new tree growing here." He leaned on it and caused it to instantly move. As if he pushed something by accident.
Stomp! Stomp!
The hill turned to find it was really the shell of a large turtle. One larger than Daphne imagined, he had an annoyed scowl and orange eyes that quickly turned red. "A Torterra." Earl took a step back and called to the Horse. "Don't worry, we got this." He laughed as Torterra set his glare at the Mudsdale that realize he's about to have a bad time. Earl requested. "Musdale, whip some sand and give this guy an old press."
Daphne cringed more as Mudsdale stomped up a sand storm, Torterra glowed green and channeled into his throat before firing a three seed barrage of bullets.
Dealing super effective damage, the first shot hurt quite a bit, yet Mudsdale built up his stamina and shrugged off more. The Horse used that vigor to leap a body press against Torterra and shove him a ways across the oasis. Daphne used her smoke bombs to sneak around the trees and toss a surprise ultra ball at the turtles back leg. "Huya!"
Tap! Shake! Bop! Bop! Click!
The Torterra was captured and Daphne took the honor of letting him out, the turtle growled deeply. (What is the meaning of this?!) Mudsdale panted and sweated in apology. (We didn't notice you.) Torterra found that dim witted of an excuse as Earl awaited for approval. "So Miss Champion, think I'm exceeding your expectations now?"
Daphne had the urge to scream out what went wrong, saw Sandslash wanted to criticize and tried to keep herself professional. "Well for one, Torterra's the kind of type you would NOT use these guys against unless you know what you're doing. Grass types have an advantage over ground and if Torterra was using something like wood hammer, Mudsdale would have been toast."
It took Earl a second to realize that he carelessly caused an encounter that would have went horribly wrong, the Champion saw shame and breathed out calmly. "But you did do exactly as I instructed you. It's just we didn't expect a grass type like this to show up out here. So this was mostly my fault." She whispered to the grown up. "I've only been a Champion for a couple months."
Earl breathed out humbly. "Jeeze, looks like that prestige isn't all it's crack up to be. So anything you need to know about this big fella? He's pass off as one of those environmentalists."
Daphne felt that was accurate. "You'd also be forgiven for mistaking a Torterra for a little hill and you'd mistake a herd of them for a forest. Small pokemon will sometimes use those trees they got as a nest." She asked the Torterra. "We're trying to relocate the pokemon that got stuck in this world. I'll bet if we present you to the people, they'll see how one with nature you all can be." She imagined hopefully. "You might even make some friends."
The Torterra simply headed where the group traveled, as a second patrol down the road. Earl could tell a grouchy mood. "Looks like someone missed their coffee." Daphne knew that was the case. "Pokemon of this power often don't listen to rookie partners that well. But we can work around that." They headed back with Torterra, more confident in their watch.
At the plains
Ven, Terra and Robbie were searching around with the aid of Virtu, Donphan and Kroko. The teenager was quite amazed at the Porygon2 as he was told about the evolutionary process. "A pokemon that was made from a computer program and upgraded to further enhance her capabilities? Just about anything can be a pokemon, even those who aren't discovered yet."
Virtu blushed as the Great Tusk caught a scent and started stomping. Ven found the specimen more and more incredible. "When you know your tech, anything is possible." Robbie agreed to that as Donphan took notice of her mentors behavior, she spotted something as Terra prepared, not aware of the teenagers admiration towards evolution. "Coexist with nature and society could advance beyond what literature would tell you."
Kroko noticed the others preparing for something and saw something sneaking behind the boys. A duo of brown lionesses with a long fiery mane flowing across their backs. From the front is a Pyroar with a more traditional, lions mane. Surrounding the band were a six cub pack of Litleos that joined in a combined roar. The male called out. (So you finally decided to challenge the Pride, Donphan!)
The Great Tusk took a step and grunted over to Donphan and Terra, it was more that they would be the ones to challenge the lot. The trainers stepped back into a pile as Donphan looked around at the foes, Virtu beeped in sync to the Donphans stomping as Kroko sized up the two felines.
Terra whispered fast. "You take care of the Lionesses, we'll handle the rest!" He and Donphan approached the Pride as the Pyroar duo took a fast step back and unleashed a hyper voice blast. Kroko was sent flying as Virtu braced with her eviolite and wasn't liking her time. She downloaded data as Robbie ordered fast. "Dig under and wait until you get the que!"
The Krokorok grunted and dived into the earth as Ven licked and experiment. "Virtu, let's try trick room and get this under control!" The Porygon2 gave a fast glow and distorted the dimensions, affecting the whole arena before following with a fast thunder bolt for the left lion. Robbie found that as the chance and took a step. "Follow that noise!" Rumble! Rumble! Burst! Kroko dug up and pinned the lioness down in a knock out. The right snarled a fast flamethrower and Virtu took the blow before countering with another bolt, giving Kroko the chance for a finishing foul play. The boys took out a great ball and tossed.
While that was happening, the Litleos unleashed a fast barrage of embers as the Pyroar king jumped high and brought about a fire spin. Donphan rolled back to dodge the embers and took the heat of the spin as Terra ordered. "Rapid spin and bulldoze!"
The Donphan spun fast to break out of the flames, she jumped wide as the Pyroar worked himself up. The Litleo's cringed as the armored elephant crashed to the ground and bounced a bulldozing shock wave, knocking them all to the ground as the male took the blunt. The arena distorted and the Pyroar used it as a chance to scream a hyper voice, Donphan was forced into a spin and sprinted to close in, using her trunk to knock the Pyroar down and end the conflict. Terra took a great ball and tossed it at the alpha before feeding six pokeballs into an air vortex and launching them at the Litleos.
Shake...shake...shake... click.
With that resolved, the Great Tusk took a stomp and had rocks rise to toss the balls towards Terra. With Ven and Robbie picking up their captures. Ven brought out a bag to put the balls in as Virtu scanned. (Searching...) Blip! (No further pokemon detected around here.) The band cleaned up as Ven channeled a gentle light to heal the fighters. "Nice and fast."
Virtu lead back to the road and was the first to find a small scuffle, Daphne, Ola'ola and Chimery were in a fight against four strange dark shrews that were dual wielding pistols. Two more sneaked through shadows and tried to make an attack at Earl, who hid behind a Mudsdale that set up a sand storm and took the shots. Allowing Sandslash to set up a swords dance and roll forward for a bull doze stomp.
A massive, odd colored Torterra sprinted at the two in a head long rush and stamped them into shadows, Ven gave a blink of light and appeared in the middle of the group. He tossed his blade to the sky and had it slice open a crack in the sky, raining down pillars of light that ensured the heartless would be driven away. The band caught up and Earl tried to stand up, shivering at his first experience while Daphne notice the bag. "Caught everything over there?"
Ven tied the bag to his hip. "According to Virtu. Found these guys by the road?" Robbie was close to the large Torterra and was impressed. "*Whistle* Some quality. That's got to have been a tough one to catch."
Daphne nodded. "He was, but your dad had the hang of it..." she shifted her eyes away. "mostly." Robbie heard that, was speechless and looked to Earl and Mudsdale, looking proud at what they accomplished. The son that was use to having the last say to his father, didn't quite want to admit defeat and walked around the turtle to check him out, grass and all. "Got to say, one look at this guy and I'll bet Dinosaurs will want to know about the facts. Instead of just listening to what ever Wesayso makes up."
Earl forgave the initial confusion and had a laugh with him. "They can carry a workload and take some load out of us joes." He was a little worried about the monster surprises. "Come on, let's see if Charline need us, those monsters you told me about are really showing up."
At the Canyon.
Aqua and Litzia jumped down a few ledges as Charline had a comedic slide, with Yanmy and Minior easing the fall. The teenager was impressed by some story telling as Glimmora descended down in song. "So Yanmy's whole thing is hitting fast and hard, and apparently there's a move she can learn that will help her evolve."
Aqua nodded. "That's all we're telling. But there's a particular rock move that triggers a mutation, making Yanmy more accustomed for a world like this." Charline guessed. "Like the giant insects you see at the swamp?" She asked her partner. "Do you know that move?"
Yamny blushed nervously. (Well... it's not that I don't know it.) She eased her breathing. (Evolution is a commitment.)
Rumble!
The ladies heard rumbling and crouched to keep themselves hidden, finding a working project committed by a trio of rock types. A cluster of dark rocks and red gems known as Gigalith was stomping to have rocks fall in formation as a Steelix burst from a wall and burrowed into another, stepping out of the cave was a Golem that was hauling a cart. The Megaton went to putting the rocks in the cart for later use as a walking humanoid salt monster approached with a couple of small stone water cups and placed them on a make shift stone table by a make shift fountain. It sprinkled a spec of salt into the cups as a way to make it flavorful for a rock type.
Golem helped Gigalith have a sip and helped himself, Charline took a moment to realize. "I see, they use the electrolytes to make the water more quenchable for them." For rock types that are known to hate water, a little salt in their drink isn't the worst thing to consume, Glimmora floated over to whistle in a chime. (Ever working towards making the earth home.)
The Golem was the first to turn fast and saw intruders, growing concern as to why they would arrive. (What are they doing down here?!) Gigalith stomped towards his work and asked. (Did we hit something down there? Is there something up there that's splitting?)
The Glimmora shook no. (Not that we've seen, for that is not what we seek.) The salt monster looked to the make shift spring as Golem looked over to a cup collection. (Well, if that's the case. Make yourself at home, we got water and Garganacl can give it a little) He waved his hands back and forth in a kind of dance. (ionization there.)
He readied a scoop for Glimmora and the Minior in particular, letting Garganacl sprinkle a salt crystal. The Minior shattered it's shell and had a sip as Glimmora tapped her crystal face in the brew for a refreshment. The salt beast turned to the band of trainers and growled in a low tone. (They're here for us?)
Yanmy nodded and caused the Golem to jump in astonishment. Glimmora sang in hymn. (For the good of you all, an exodus to a new home must come to pass. We are to challenge you for the right of capture. If you don't mind.) Golem and Gigalith didn't mind the calling as the Garganacl shrugged his shoulders and marched into the tunnel. (I'll find Steelix and Rhyperior.)
Litzia sent out Pix, who tip toed to the Glimmora's side. The Gigalith unleashed a rushing sand storm as Golem gave a light stomp. Aqua snapped her fingers on command, letting the Glimmora take in a crystal power of ground types. "Scratch these two up with a mortal spin and go for a tera blast!"
The Glimmora turned purple and spun like a top before rushing at the rocky duo, leaving the two with a case of poisons. Litzia aimed her finger at the Gigalith. "Tickle the Gigalith's guard!" The Clefairy waddled over fast and tickled the Gigalith into a laughing fit, leaving Golem confused and rushing a high horse power kick as the Gigalith tried to fight the laughter and leap for a heavy slam that while super effective, left Clefairy bouncing for more. Aqua shouted. "Spin around that and finish this!" The Glimmora dodged Golem and knocked him prone with a blast of crystal earth.
All the while, Yanmy flew over the megaton and dropped an ultra ball on his head. The Yanma dived after the Gigalith and let loose a super sonic screech that left the rock beast dazed and stunned. Left wide open for another tera blast as Litzia flickered to the back of the rock beast and tossed a ball. Shake...shake...shake... click!
The battle was one and the ladies let the rock duo out for a remedy, Charline and Yanmy had a peak at the tunnel as the band prepared and found it leading to a leftward turn. Sloping downward into steps that were clearly made for those who can't roll. Leading deeper beneath the surface and to an underground lake that has long nourished the world above. A natural beauty to behold, least until dark oil monsters slithered out of the shadows and made a lunge for the teenager. Yanmy eeked and unleashed an air cutter blast as Aqua and Litzia flew over to do combat, with Glimmora out of her tera power and firing power gem blasts while Pix kept to Litzia's head and gave a helping hand clap. The ladies conjured a constellation of crystals and light, bombarding the encroaching darkness.
Golem and Gigalith charged into action, the duo stomped a rock slide to burry the heartless and make way for a fight occurring in a right curve, at a sandy hide out.
Garganacl stood between a pack of Crude Spewers and the water, using a wide guard to block a splash of oil while a Steelix smashed a Spewer with a heavy slam. Giving a rocky dinosaur with a club tail and a horn for a nose, time to bombard the foes with a rock blast from his palms. The Garganacl side stepped from a pounce and sprinkled salt on the heartless, making it dissolve away alarmingly fast. The ladies hurried to the brawl, gaining the notice of Steelix, who coiled upward and growled. (Hold it, what are people doing down here?!)
Yanmy eeped and flew forward to plee. (We're seeing fighting down here and came to help!) She hurried to let loose a bug buzz that convinced the burrowers that help did arrive. Glimmora chimed in her strange glow. (To make this riddle simple, a wicked heart is seeking to bring harm to you and use you to harm the world.)
Rhyperior drill rushed another monster and growled. (Someone's behind these monsters? So how we gonna flush 'em out?) Glimmora turned to Aqua; who, along with Litzia, sensed a dark aura close by. They turned fast and found three chains shoot past them and making contact with the chests of Rhyperior, Steelix and the slow Garganacl. The iron snake and the drilling beast were in a dark shock as Garganacl's chain started to rust. The ladies and their companions turned to find a black coat man with a taunting wave as the Steelix and Rhyperior started to go limp. Garganacl used all his strength to pull out the chain and pant, he, Gigalith and Golem prepared as Steelix and Rhyperior jerked to a dark, soulless trance and make a rush after the band.
Gigalith and Golem counter charged as the Garganacl fired a blast of salt cure on Steelix, sending it back a ways as Aqua sent out Milady and joined in a victory dance. They rushed at the Rhyperior as one as Steelix burst in a dark aura and was ready to slam to the ground in an earthquake. Yanmy eeked, flew to Steelix's face and unleashed a hypnotic wave to send it to sleep. Rhyperior was sent rolling from a double grass slash, Litzia found her chance to glide after Steelix and Rhyperior, using her blade to undo the dark locks and send them falling over in relief. Warp!
The Black Coat warped in the middle with his blade and balked. "Say goodbye!"
He fired at the four, watched the ladies deflect and warped, ignoring a Charline that was having difficulty keeping her focus on the sight. She turned to Yanmy, who was having her sights at each blink, giving an idea. "Yanmy, can you keep up with that?" The dragonfly zipped left and right in a speed boost. (Sure can!)
The Black Coat teleported to get an upper ground and was quickly met by a fast flying Yanma who let loose a point blank bug buzz. She followed with a strange glow that conjured fossilized rocks and pelted the crook. The Black Coat warped away to try and regain balance, only to be intercepted and given another loud buzz. He turned at the teenager that was trying to keep Yanmy on the focus, she was caught off guard by someone calling out. "There he is!"
Charline misunderstood right as the Black Coat warped to her personal, she ducked and turned to get away from a downward slash. Surprisingly, she managed to smack the Black Coat away with her tail, she stood up in frustration and glared at the Black Coat. "Don't you know it's impolite to sneak up behind a dinosaur! We got tails you know!"
Right as the Black Coat was about to strike, a barrage of bullet seeds knocked him towards a wall. "Hey what do you think you're doing?!"
A cloak of sand made way for a sprinting Sandslash that delivered a smack to knock the broken blade away as a Krokorok burst from the earth and pounced on the man. The Black Coat let loose a pulse of darkness and sprinted to pick his blade back before turning to face an angry father, the Great Tusk, the rest of the Wayfinders and a Daphne on her Silvally. The Silvally had a pink color to him as he readied a multi attack claw. Daphne jumped off as Robbie caught up and helped Charline keep balance. The Black Coat was at the end of his patience and had a dark glow. "Burying you losers!"
He warped to the lake and charged up a dark orb, Ven let out Bursty and Alakazam, the boy and Ultra Beast knew in sync and gave a glide to the Black Coat's personal. The boy glowed in yellow light as the Blacephalon glowed in shadow, they worked together to give the Black Coat a vicious slashing that knocked the orb loose. The Alakazam flew to the orb, caught it in a psychic hold and teleported away. In a few seconds, the Alakazam returned in a blink and a rumble was heard from above, something exploded and it was not a small one.
The Black Coat warped to try and get a clear shot, only to be blasted in the back by a combination of flames, from Terra and the Cadet. With a force of will, rocks came rushing at the foe that escaped into a stronger psyshock cluster, courtesy of Alakazam.
Zip!
The Great Tusk rapid spun into a wheel and rushed through the water before making a twister and leaping for the crook. With a strike of his trunk, the Black Coat was sent flying to a wall. It was a fight he wasn't going to win and he made a corridor, right as a Celebi and Ribombee flew in view and fired an energy ball, moon blast combo, knocking him through as a finisher for the battle.
The band had a moment to try and regain their thought and Earl shook in dread, Robbie was greatly concerned for the danger the world is in. "Man, that guy has issues." Charline agreed with her brother. "Tell me about, absolutely no manners." She used a finger to scratch Yanmy under her chin as Earl asked the travelers from another realm. "That dude's a psychopath that you know?"
Aqua was seeing Litzia and Daphne hurry to the injured pokemon. "Definitely. We deep in that tunnel network that he was looking for a chance to get rid of us in one seismic mishap."
She was impressed at the one pokemon that resisted. "Garganacl really did step it up compared to what normally happens to a wild pokemon." Daphne figured as she readied some medicine for Steelix and Rhyperior. "It's probably the metal hooks, which don't like that salt and the fact his ability, purifying salt, makes him resistant to ghost type attacks. Like how an occult maniac uses salt for a spell circle."
Litzia channeled a gentle light and gasped at the word occult. "OOOOH! The salt helps ward off the dark energy?"
Rhyperior and Steelix were waking up in a shake as Terra and Ven used simple ultra balls to capture them fast, letting them out as the oldest of the Wayfinders helped piece together the events. "If we're done here, we now know who else is making trouble. If he's where those heartless are coming from, could that mean he's working with Richfield?"
Earl dreaded as Robbie thought with Terra. "It wouldn't be the first time that Richfield has sold people out." Charline added her concerns. "Looking to do... something to these guys and make them act like rabid shrews." She looked to Yanmy, then to her father, who was having a matching expression with an annoyed Torterra. "Wesayso's going to make things a lot worse if we don't hurry up."
Earl turned to the trusty Mudsdale as a way to show case a point as Sandslash hurried to his side. "We could use the details on the way back." As the band readied their return, Daphne felt the corporations name ring in her head. "We...say so? Does this corporation call the shots around here?" Earl rolled his eyes. "And anyone who says otherwise gets the oligarchical whipping."
Back at the Sinclair Home.
Fran, Kangaskhan and Ethyl watched something on the television, in pride to what they accomplished. In a news channel, a brown dinosaur by the name of Howard Handupme finished giving a report on the weather. "In other news, it appears we have a development on the case of the mysterious creatures that were appearing in the corners of Pangea over a week ago. Local house Wife, Fran Sinclair gave us an interview with one of our guests, Ms. Kangaskhan."
The stay at homes watched an interview from earlier, with Fran, Kangaskhan and a relaxed Marowak that was entertaining Baby and the Calf. An interviewer was feeling bamboozled at the monstrous misfits. "Miss Sinclair, you've invited these monster looking guys over into your house and somehow you and your family are still in one piece. How is this happening?"
The Kangaskhan mother crossed her arms and had a crossed look in her eyes while Fran had an aura of elegance. "Well a lot is possible when you sit down, talk about your problems and listen. These so called monsters arrived from a place beyond the light, lost and looking for a new home. That all there is to it." The interviewer looked to his camera crew as Fran continued. "We're working on helping them find a more suitable place to live and they'll need all the help they can get."
The interviewer was understanding that, but asked in regret. "However, given that you're the wife of an unemployed tree pusher, how are you going to make that happen?" Fran took a silent breath. "If you see some strange people with these kind of companions, they're making this little miracle happen. Let them know what you can do to help, it will make a difference." The stay at homes watched the end of that report and Ethyl was quite proud of her daughter. "You did the right thing, now all we got to do is hope this truth sticks."
Fran sighed bitterly. "I've done all I can to make sure the truth gets out before Wesayso tries to garble it down in their nonsense." Click! "Honey, we're home!"
Earl and the Wayfinders arrived, with Daphne having to take the back door and open the wider glass door, just so Mudsdale, Golem and Gigalith can come in. Torterra wasn't even half way in the house. Following Earl was the trusty Sandslash, Kroko and Yanmy. Fran gasped. "Goodness. Are these all the ones at the highway?"
Daphne showed a case. "Not all of them. Just the ones who would fit." Ethyl shared a look with a Torterra that wasn't exactly comfortable. "Sorry that we're not living in a mansion, even before times were tight we were living off of this guys paycheck."
Earl hmphed. "Well sorry I couldn't live up to being the 1% but at least I brought your interdimensional cousin." Torterra gave a huh as his partner spat some spite towards his inlaw. "He says hi."
Torterra immediately fired a bullet seed at Earl, forcing him to run and hide while the grand mother tried to calm the turtle. "Take it easy, we're all friends over here. Now, you all look like you've heard a real horror story, you figured out what those moguls are up to?"
Ven reported in disappointment. "Not yet, but a crook from our place is out here and he's going to do... really bad things to make these Pokemon attack the locals if we don't hurry. He's tried to hurt friends and family when they can't defend themselves. So we're having a friend ward off any of those monsters that try to get close." The stay at homes saw hints of a blocky salt monster lining their homes with salt. Earl gave up denying the super natural. "Well, look at the bright side, pretzels are sounding real good around now."
Robbie ignored his father's bumbling. "Give Sodie a bit and it should keep the monsters from coming in." He insisted to Kangaskhan and Marowak. "We'll even drop off some power houses if this weirdo in a black coat shows up around here." The thought counted and Charline listed more places close by. "Now we got to drive up to the beach and check the woods again. Think now's a good time for swim suits?" Aqua hand waved from an awkward thought. "Not today." The family saw a band of rock types and a Steelix working together to make a stone barricade, Golem, Rhyperior and even Steelix could pass off as a native to the land.
Up the Volcano.
Koraidon and the Goughing Fire looked on the Badlands, where they saw an explosion take up most of the sky. Koraidon's normally friendly mode turned to a cold glare. "He's actually here." He turned in frustration. "What does he think he's doing? This world has nothing for him besides us."
The Goughing Fire kept by the alpha and had a mutual worry, he looked to the fire types that were having concern of the explosion. "And if our guess on who he's working for is right, the future of this world is going to be cooked if we don't do something."
Rumble!
The fire types woke up to the sound of a rumble that wasn't from the volcano, looking around to find dark frosty clouds surrounding the summit. A deathly chill that seeped even to those of flame. Emerging from the darkness was eight frost bitten Darksides. Magmortar, Charizard and Typhlosion stood together as one, heating up at the instant. Charizard mega evolved and unleashed a mighty heat wave while Typhlosion unleashed an eruption at maximum power. Two of the dark sides fell back into the darkness as a smolder while Magmortar gave a small dance and burst into a plume of lava, heating Typhlosion and the Heatran that saw a particular Darkside at the north charging an ice blast. She stomped and roared a flash fire magma storm, trapping it in flames and causing the foe to melt. The remaining five charged up in sync for a charged up icy explosion. Goughing Fire leaped at the orb and scattered it with a breaking swipe as Koraidon rolled up into a wheel and charged through another. Strangely, the Darksides crossed their arms and emit an aura that brought about a suffocating smog.
The fire types were quick to run out of danger, Heatran was lagging behind and was having a shine in her crown, preparing for a flash cannon.
Blink!
Just then, a figure in a Black Coat warped into view with a charged broken dark blade and tossed a locking chain at the lava dome. Causing her to roar out and thrash against a corrupting power. The Darksides burst into a storm of chaotic frost as the fire types were in shock. They were blind sided by chains from the shadows as Koraidon had a view of who did that, he began to see a fiery orange and the pupils of his eyes shrunk to resemble an angry serpent. He roared and sprinted on all fours, the Black Coat jumped away from a breaking swipe as the Goughing Fire followed with a heat crash. The Black Coat warped away from a telling attack and readied to aim a chain at the two. "You'll be all I need to scorch every last one of these Dinoaurs off the face of the world! So stand still."
Koraidon was forming a crystal shine in his being as a wall of green cells rose to block the chain attack and the frosty blast. A particular cell had a mixture of a blue and green core, with eyes looking at the two dragons. "Regroup, we need the Keybearers for this."
The command was enough to snap Koraidon out of his bestial rage and realize a fight on the volcano, right at the moment, would be cataclysmic. He and Goughing Fire made a run to the ledge and leaped as the cell wall slithered with them into a cluster, landing at the foot, where a Magcargo and Rapidash were watching the chaos unfold. The Goughing Fire hurried to get the lava snail on his back as Koraidon roared out an order. "Come on, it's not going to do us any good if that darkness gets you too!" As the fire types were left stunned, the volcano began to erupt.
