A/N: This is my very first time writing an omo fanfic so I hope you all like it! Leorio is one of my favorite characters from HxH, and I have yet to find an omo fic about him, so I decided to write one myself! (This takes place about a month after the Zoldyck family arc, technically the arc started in July according to Google, but let's just pretend it happened earlier for the sake of the story!)
—--
Leorio sat on a bench in one of Yorknew's busiest train stations, his leg bouncing restlessly as he waited for Kurapika. It had been two months since they had last seen each other, and they had arranged over text to meet a little earlier than they had told Killua and Gon. The others wouldn't be arriving for another couple of days, giving Leorio and Kurapika some rare time alone before the group reunited.
He took another sip of his oversized soft drink, barely registering the taste as he drained it far too quickly. It wasn't just excitement making him fidget—it was something deeper, something he had been trying to ignore but could no longer deny. Over their time together, his feelings for Kurapika had shifted from friendship to something far more complicated, far more intense. And now, with every passing second, the thought of seeing him again sent his heart pounding in a way that had nothing to do with nerves and everything to do with love.
Leorio crumpled his empty cup in his hand, barely noticing as the ice inside shifted with the motion. He had downed the drink far too quickly, but it hadn't helped settle the nervous energy buzzing in his chest. He exhaled sharply, running a hand through his hair in an attempt to distract himself. Any minute now.
Then, just as he was about to check his phone for the third time, a familiar voice cut through the hum of the train station.
"I was beginning to think you'd drink the entire station dry before I got here."
Leorio's head snapped up, and the moment he laid eyes on Kurapika, his heart skipped a beat.
The blond stood a few feet away, his blue tabard swaying slightly with the movement of passing travelers. His hands rested lightly on his sides, his expression calm but touched with the smallest, knowing smile. His hair, slightly tousled from travel, caught the overhead lights, making him look almost unreal.
Leorio shot up from the bench so quickly he nearly knocked over a passerby. His excitement overrode any attempt to play it cool. "Kurapika!" He grinned, warmth spreading through him at the sight of his friend. Every ounce of him wanted to pull Kurapika into a hug, but at the last second, he hesitated. Would that be too much? Instead, he settled for an overly enthusiastic wave, which probably looked ridiculous, but at least it was safe.
Kurapika chuckled softly, his eyes shining with something unreadable yet undeniably gentle. "It's really good to see you again, Leorio." His voice was warm, genuine—a contrast to the reserved demeanor he usually showed others. "Two months apart felt longer than I expected."
Leorio scratched the back of his head, his grin widening. "Yeah, tell me about it! I was starting to think you forgot all about me."
Kurapika shook his head, his smile softening. "That could never happen."
Leorio felt his face heat up at that but pushed it aside with a laugh. "Well, good! 'Cause I was about to send out a missing person's report if you took any longer."
Kurapika hummed in amusement, taking a step closer. "You'd do that for me?"
Leorio huffed, crossing his arms dramatically. "Obviously! What kind of friend would I be if I didn't?"
Kurapika studied him for a moment before letting out a quiet chuckle. "A very good one, I suppose."
Something in the way he said it made Leorio's heart thump harder than it should have, but he forced himself to brush it off. "Alright, enough sentimental stuff! You must be exhausted from traveling. Let's get your stuff and find somewhere to eat—I know a great place that won't completely drain my wallet."
Kurapika's lips quirked up, and he nodded. "That sounds perfect."
Leorio, ever the gentleman, grabbed Kurapika's small travel bag before he could protest, hoisting it like it weighed nothing. As they walked through the bustling station, Leorio stole a quick glance at Kurapika, who looked oddly peaceful despite the chaos around them.
Yeah… two months had definitely been too long.
As they walked through the busy streets of Yorknew, Leorio carried Kurapika's bag with ease, gesturing animatedly with his free hand as he rambled about everything and nothing at once. Kurapika listened with a small, amused smile, occasionally chiming in with his usual calm remarks.
A few minutes into their walk, Leorio felt a slight discomfort in his lower abdomen. Nothing major, just a faint urge to relieve himself. He ignored it without a second thought—after all, they were almost at the restaurant. No big deal.
They soon arrived at a cozy Italian place, tucked between towering buildings. It wasn't too fancy, but it was nice enough that Leorio felt like it was a step up from the street food he often defaulted to. He held the door open for Kurapika, who gave him a small nod of thanks as they stepped inside. The warm scent of garlic and herbs filled the air, and the soft glow of candlelight gave the place a welcoming atmosphere.
After they were shown to their table and seated, Leorio leaned back in his chair, stretching slightly before glancing up at the waiter. "Hey, you guys got a restroom here?"
The waiter shook his head apologetically. "Sorry, sir. No public restrooms."
Leorio froze for half a second before quickly covering up his reaction with a casual wave of his hand. "Ah, no worries."
But internally? Internally, he was slightly worried.
Still, it wasn't a huge deal. He could hold it. He'd gone way longer without peeing during the Hunter Exam, and that had been way more intense than this. He was a grown man—nineteen, but still!—and he could handle something as simple as waiting until after dinner.
Kurapika hummed in approval as he looked over the menu. "I haven't had Italian food in a while. This was a good choice."
Leorio grinned. "Yeah, yeah, I know. I've got impeccable taste."
Shortly after they placed their orders, the waiter returned with a bottle of red wine and poured them each a glass. Leorio eyed his glass for a moment before reluctantly pushing it aside. The last thing he needed was to make his problem worse.
Kurapika, however, immediately noticed. His sharp gaze flickered between Leorio and the untouched glass, one brow slightly raised. "That's unlike you."
Leorio blinked. "Huh?"
Kurapika gestured toward the wine. "You're not drinking. You usually enjoy this sort of thing."
Leorio felt a bead of sweat form at the back of his neck. Damn it, why does he have to be so observant?
He couldn't exactly admit the truth. That would be way too embarrassing. So, to avoid suspicion—and more importantly, to avoid looking weird in front of Kurapika—he grabbed the glass and took a sip.
The rich, smooth flavor coated his tongue, and he hummed as if he was simply savoring the taste. "What? Of course I'm drinking! What kind of meal is complete without a little wine?"
Kurapika didn't look entirely convinced, but he let it go, taking a sip from his own glass.
Leorio, meanwhile, internally winced as the warmth of the alcohol settled in his stomach. Great. Just great.
If he thought things were bad before, now he was actively making them worse.
—--
Leorio leaned back in his chair, exhaling contentedly as he patted his stomach. "Now that was a damn good meal."
Kurapika nodded, setting down his napkin neatly. "It really was. I almost forgot how much I enjoy Italian food."
With a grin, Leorio waved the waiter over and casually asked for the check. He was expecting something slightly pricey—it was Yorknew, after all—but when he glanced at the total, he barely held back a wince. Much more expensive than he had anticipated.
16,500 jenny.
A little more than he had on hand, but he could cover it with a quick transfer from his account. Still, it stung. He swallowed the urge to complain, instead flashing his usual confident smirk as he pulled out his wallet. "I got this," he said smoothly, sliding his card into the reader like it was nothing.
Kurapika glanced at him. "Are you sure? I don't mind splitting it."
Leorio waved him off. "Please, what kind of gentleman would I be if I let you pay on our first—" He stopped himself just in time. "—uh, first meal back together?"
Kurapika blushed a little bit, but pretended not to notice the slip. He simply nodded in thanks, and Leorio let out a quiet breath of relief as he finished the payment.
However, as he stood up, a different kind of problem made itself aggressively known.
He stiffened as a sharp wave of pressure pulsed through his bladder, making him tense up instinctively. Oh, shit. It was much worse now. The wine definitely hadn't helped.
Leorio took a slow, controlled breath and straightened his suit. No big deal. They'd just leave, get to a hotel, and he'd be able to finally relieve himself. He could handle that. Easy.
Or at least, that's what he thought—until a horrible realization struck him.
He never booked a hotel.
His face paled slightly. Crap. Crap. Crap. He had completely forgotten to reserve a room in advance. And in a city like Yorknew? This wasn't some small town where they could just stroll into a cheap motel and call it a night.
And then, as if the universe wasn't already kicking him hard enough, another awful realization hit him right after that.
After paying for dinner, he only had about 15,000 jenny left in cash.
Leorio groaned quietly, running a hand down his face. "Hey, uh…" He glanced at Kurapika, forcing a sheepish grin. "How much money do you have on you right now?"
Kurapika blinked at him before casually pulling out his wallet. "Around 30,000 jenny. Why?"
Leorio sighed. 45,000 jenny total. Not much at all, considering how expensive lodging was in Yorknew. And there weren't any Hunter-exclusive hotels nearby that could give them a discount.
He let out a deep breath, adjusting his glasses. "Alright, change of plans—we gotta find a hotel that fits our budget."
Kurapika tilted his head slightly, clearly intrigued. "You forgot to book a place, didn't you?"
Leorio placed a hand over his chest, feigning deep offense. "Forget is a strong word. I simply… left it open for flexibility."
Kurapika sighed, but there was a small, knowing smile on his face. "Right."
And so, their search began.
—--
Yorknew was not kind to travelers on a budget.
Everywhere they checked was either fully booked or ridiculously overpriced. They walked through the city streets, checking signs and asking at front desks, but they kept getting the same responses.
"No vacancy."
"Cheapest room? 80,000 jenny a night."
"We're fully booked through the next two weeks."
Leorio could barely focus on the rejection after a while. Because with every passing minute, his real problem was becoming impossible to ignore.
His bladder was aching now. The pressure had built up so much that he could hardly stand still whenever they stopped to ask about a room. His fingers twitched at his sides, and he kept shifting his weight from foot to foot, trying desperately to keep things under control.
This was not the kind of situation he wanted to be in—especially not in front of Kurapika.
He clenched his jaw, his hand tightening into a fist at his side. Come on, man, just hold out a little longer. You've been through worse.
But even as he told himself that, his body was not cooperating. Every step sent a small jolt through his overfilled bladder, and every time they stopped to ask about a hotel, he had to subtly tense up to stop himself from squirming.
Kurapika, thankfully, didn't seem to notice. Or if he did, he wasn't saying anything.
Leorio took a shaky breath as they walked down yet another street, still searching for a place to stay. He could barely even care about how much money they had left at this point. All he cared about was finding a damn hotel room, because if they didn't, things were going to get a whole lot more humiliating very quickly.
Kurapika walked beside Leorio, keeping his usual composed expression, but his mind was far less calm than he appeared.
He wasn't oblivious—he had noticed the small things. The way Leorio had hesitated when mentioning their "first" meal together, the slight nervous energy when they first reunited, and now… the clear tension in his posture.
But Kurapika didn't say anything.
He had known for a while now that he felt something for Leorio—something deeper than friendship. He just never let it show. He was far too skilled at keeping his emotions in check, and he wasn't about to risk ruining what they had by acting on them.
Still, he was curious.
Leorio, on the other hand, was an open book. Even when he tried to play it cool, his emotions were written all over his face. And right now, Kurapika could see that something was off.
Leorio kept shifting his stance slightly, his stride not as relaxed as usual. His hands were fidgeting more than they normally did, and his voice had a subtle tension to it every time he asked about hotel vacancies.
Kurapika's first thought was that he was just stressed about their lack of lodging. It was understandable—Yorknew wasn't the easiest place to find an affordable stay. But as the minutes passed, and as Leorio's discomfort became more pronounced, something clicked in Kurapika's mind.
He glanced at Leorio out of the corner of his eye, watching the way he tensed slightly whenever they stopped walking. The way he seemed almost restless, shifting from foot to foot.
Kurapika was observant. And this wasn't just stress.
A small, amused thought crossed his mind. Could it be…?
He decided to test it. "Leorio," he said, his voice calm as ever, "are you alright?"
Leorio stiffened for a fraction of a second before forcing out a laugh. "Pfft, what? Me? Of course, I'm fine!" His voice was a little too loud, a little too forced. "Just, uh… a little annoyed that we can't find a damn hotel."
Kurapika raised an eyebrow but didn't push. "I see."
He's lying. But for now, Kurapika let it go.
Because whether Leorio admitted it or not, it was clear to him now.
Leorio needed to find a hotel. Badly. But not just for a place to sleep.
And for some reason, he was trying incredibly hard to hide it.
They kept walking through the streets of Yorknew, the pressure on Leorio's bladder steadily increasing with each passing minute. He could feel his stomach tightening, his breath shallow as he tried to ignore the growing discomfort. His earlier confidence had turned to frustration, his stride more strained now.
Kurapika walked beside him, still cool and collected, though he couldn't help but notice how tense Leorio was becoming. His friend's usual easygoing demeanor was gone, replaced by a subtle nervous energy that only grew with every step they took.
Leorio was desperately trying to keep it together. But as they passed another row of buildings, the pressure became too much. No. No, no, no. He felt the familiar, uncontrollable feeling of a leak.
For a split second, he froze, his hand instinctively shooting down to his crotch. He hunched over slightly, trying to discreetly stem the damage. His heart was pounding, his face flushed with embarrassment.
Kurapika glanced over, his eyebrow lifting slightly. He had seen the slight movement, but he didn't say anything immediately. Instead, his voice, as calm as ever, came out with a gentle concern, though there was a subtle amusement in his eyes. "Leorio, are you alright?"
Leorio's face flushed deeper. He straightened up quickly, forcing a grin, though it was clearly strained. "Yeah, yeah! I'm just—just cold, that's all." He fake shivered theatrically, though the night air was anything but chilly.
Kurapika tilted his head, eyes narrowing slightly. He didn't buy it for a second. "Are you sure? It's not that cold out."
Leorio, desperate to cover up his discomfort, laughed nervously. "Of course, I'm sure! Just… not used to this kind of weather, that's all. You know how it is."
Kurapika gave him a knowing look but didn't press any further. "Alright, if you say so."
Leorio, still gripping himself briefly, slowly took his hands away, trying his hardest to maintain control. He wasn't sure how much longer he could hold it. He silently prayed that there wasn't any visible stain on the front of his pants, feeling a small surge of relief when he realized there wasn't. But that didn't solve his problem—he still needed to find a hotel.
As they continued walking through the city, Leorio couldn't help but feel a new sense of urgency. They had to find a place soon, any decent place with a toilet in the room, or his night was about to get a whole lot worse.
—--
Leorio was doing his best to keep it together, but his body was betraying him. He walked slower now, each step making him feel more desperate. The pressure on his bladder was unbearable. He could feel himself starting to lose control again, and this time, there was no stopping it. A small, involuntary spurt escaped him, and a faint stain appeared on the front of his pants. He froze, mortified, his face burning with embarrassment.
Kurapika, ever observant, noticed the subtle change in his friend's posture and the slight shift in his expression. He slowed his pace just slightly, but didn't draw attention to what had happened. Leorio cleared his throat and, feeling the weight of his discomfort, muttered, "I… I really need to find a restroom soon."
Kurapika looked over at him, his voice calm but gentle. Kurapika found the taller man's need very amusing, and… arousing? Why would he be aroused by Leorio needing to use the bathroom? It didn't make any sense, but nevertheless, Kurapika felt blood rush to his lower body involuntarily. "We'll find a place soon, Leorio. Just a little longer." There was a softness in his tone that seemed to reassure Leorio, though he couldn't tell if Kurapika truly understood the extent of his desperation.
Leorio nodded, trying to ignore the tightening pressure. He walked slowly, focusing on putting one foot in front of the other, barely holding on. He couldn't risk looking too panicked—especially not in front of Kurapika, who was walking beside him with his usual composed air.
It wasn't much longer before they turned the corner and spotted a hotel in the distance. The illuminated vacancy sign practically felt like a beacon of hope. Leorio's heart raced with a mix of relief and renewed desperation as he saw the sign next to it: "30,000 jenny a night."
Finally.
Leorio could barely contain his relief. He sped up a little, his legs moving faster as he tried to make it to the entrance without fully losing control. The thought of being able to relieve himself soon pushed him further, but at the same time, it only made the pressure worse. His bladder, already at its limit, screamed for release.
They reached the hotel doors, and Leorio couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of triumph. He was so close to getting some relief, he could almost taste it. And yet, every step made his bladder feel like it was on the verge of giving in.
"Let's get this room and—" Leorio started, trying to stay composed, his tone a little strained but still hopeful.
Kurapika, calm as always, nodded. "Right, just a little more." Kurapika felt his face heat up.
Leorio and Kurapika stepped into the elevator, the small space feeling much too cramped for Leorio's growing discomfort. He shifted from foot to foot, willing the elevator to move faster. It felt as though time was stretching on forever as the elevator ascended slowly, the soft hum of its movement only adding to the tension.
Leorio's mind was a swirl of frustration and relief, knowing that the end was so close, but that only made his need worse. With each floor they passed, his body seemed to rebel against him, and just when he thought he might make it through the elevator ride without incident, another leak escaped, more than the last one. The front of his pants was now noticeably damp, a stain spreading larger than before. At this point, he was pinching himself through his pants to prevent himself from completely pissing himself in the elevator.
Kurapika, who had been silent up until now, glanced at Leorio with a slight tilt of his head, his usual calm expression barely concealing his arousal. He didn't say anything, but the faint look in his eyes spoke volumes—he tried his best to look concerned for his friend, but he couldn't completely hide that this was really turning him on.
Leorio, trying to hide his increasing anxiety, forced a smile, though it was shaky. "Just… just need to make it to the room," he muttered, glancing up at the numbers on the elevator display as they slowly ticked up.
Finally, the elevator reached the 8th floor. Leorio quickly stepped out, trying to move as fast as he could, but it was clear that the pressure was becoming unbearable. He clenched his damp manhood harder now, his mind was laser-focused on the door to their room, which was just a few steps away. He prayed he could make it.
They reached the door, and as soon as it opened, Leorio and Kurapika stepped inside, the toilet finally within reach. But just as the door closed behind them, Leorio's body gave out. His stomach tightened, and he realized with a mix of disbelief and frustration that he couldn't hold it anymore.
He stood frozen for a moment, his face flushing red, a sense of defeat settling in. Despite all his efforts, it was happening. The hot liquid rapidly gushed out of his tip, burning from the immense pressure. The piss spread across the front of his pants, some leaking straight through and pattering on the floor. It expanded down his pant legs, coloring them a darker blue. Despite Leorio helplessly gripping his cock, the force of his release caused piss to shoot through the front of his pants and through his fingers, causing a fountain-like stream directly from his aching cock.
Leorio let his head fall back onto the door, groaning pleasurably at the sheer sense of pure relief and ecstasy he was feeling right now. It felt so good to let go. He had yet to realize, but it was slowly making him hard. He continued to release for another 10 seconds before the stream tapered off into a halt. Leorio finally realized what had just happened and who it just happened in front of. As well as realizing his semi hard-on.
Kurapika, who had been standing just a few feet away, was intently staring at him, face red as can be. He was astonished by what had just happened right in front of him. Oh my god. That was… Kurapika looked down, realizing he was fully hard through his tabard, and it was very visible. Just then, Leorio slowly straightened his head, looking at Kurapika with the most embarrassed expression he could achieve. "I-I couldn't hold it any longer.." Leorio said, sheepishly. He then noticed Kurapika's expression, he was blushing very hard and breathing more heavily than normal. Leorio looked down his body and saw a bulge through the front of his tabard.
"I can explain!" Kurapika hastily spat out, "Y-you were making all of these weird n-noises… who wouldn't get a little excited?" Kurapika was incredibly embarrassed, maybe even just as embarrassed as the man facing him with soaked pants was.
Seeing Kurapika aroused like this somehow made the taller man blush even harder than before, making his cock twitch and harden fully. "Did that actually turn you on, Kurapika?" Leorio said his name with such seduction while he walked towards him, not paying any mind to how wet his pants are or the slight puddle on the carpet.
Kurapika gulped at how sexy the man before him was, even more so being soaked in his own urine. "L-Leorio, I think I have feeli-" Kurapika's words were cut off by Leorio crashing their lips together and pulling their bodies close. Before Leorio could make another move, Kurapika took charge and semi-shoved Leorio against the wall, obviously not hard enough to hurt the man. The blond looked up at the taller man with his beaming, scarlet eyes, eager and hungry. Kurapika then got onto his knees, staring at the man's large bulge through his soaked pants. He quickly unbuttons the garment and pulls them down to the taller man's ankles, revealing his striped light blue and white boxers, which were completely soaked as well. Kurapika pulls down the boxers in a swift motion as Leorio's sizeable member perks up, clearly aching to be touched.
"Kurapika! D-Don't do that, it's dirty!" Leorio exclaims as Kurapika starts to lick the other man's member. Kurapika looks up at him with furrowed eyebrows and those sultry, beautiful scarlet eyes. "But I want to, Leorio." Without a second thought, Kurapika gives Leorio's tip a quick suck before taking his whole length into his mouth. "Ungh! Fuck, Kurapika~" Leorio can't help but moan in pleasure at the feeling of his crush suddenly sucking his cock.
The smaller man continues, bobbing his head and using his tongue to pleasure the taller man. Leorio places his hands on the other man's head and starts thrusting into his mouth, causing Kurapika to choke slightly. He gags on the huge cock and lets the tears run down his cheeks as he sucks, causing Leorio's thrusts to grow sloppier and his moans to become more erratic. Leorio grips Kurapika's head and slams his cock all the way down the other man's throat before releasing his load. Leorio grunts out his partner's name as he orgasms, filling his mouth with his cum. Kurapika swallows and releases the tall man's member from his mouth, panting.
Before Leorio has a chance to compose himself, the smaller man pushes him to the ground and climbs on top of him, grinding their hips together. Leorio is already hard again. Kurapika takes his tabard off, revealing his pale, slender body, and starts to tug at Leorio's shirt. Leorio takes the hint and sits up, helping Kurapika to remove his own clothes, exposing his dark skin and toned abs.
After the taller man has taken his shirt off, he grabs Kurapika's hand, and they both stand up. They start kissing passionately, pressing their bare chests together. The blond moves his hands over the other man's chest, admiring his broad, muscular physique. He starts kissing and biting Leorio's neck, causing him to let out soft moans. Leorio moves his hands to the blond's ass and starts grinding his erection against the other man's.
Kurapika groans in pleasure at the friction, and Leorio takes the opportunity to pick him up and lay him down on the hotel bed.
Leorio moves between the smaller man's legs and presses their lips together. Their tongues explore each other's mouths, and they start moving their hips together, creating a sensual rhythm. As they continue to kiss, the raven haired man slowly pulls the other man's boxers down, revealing his dripping cock.
Kurapika stops kissing Leorio and looks up at him, a look of longing on his face. The taller man smiles, and he leans down, licking the other man's cock, savoring the taste of his precum.
He licks his way down the shaft and starts to prod his tongue against the blond's light pink asshole. Kurapika yelps in response, never having this done to him before. "Leorio! Ahh, that feels.. w-weird!" Kurapika is overwhelmed with pleasure as Leorio licks his tight hole, and continues to stick a finger in. He begins to slowly finger the smaller man in order to prep him for what's to come, and Kurapika is definitely not trying to hide his pleasure. His seductive moans fill the room as Leorio adds a second finger into his hole. Kurapika can't believe how good this feels, and Leorio can't believe he gets to do this to the man he's had feelings for for some time now. Leorio was just about to take his fingers out when- "AAH! LEORIO~!" Kurapika suddenly calls out when Leorio hits a certain spot. "Does that feel good sunshine?" Leorio says in his most seductive voice. Kurapika just moans in response.
After a minute, Leorio stops and grabs the other man's leg, putting it over his shoulder.
He suddenly presses his cock against the other's prepped hole, and the blond's eyes widen. "L-Leorio? What are you d-AHH!"
Kurapika gasps when he feels the head of Leorio's cock slowly slide into him.
Leorio grunts in response, enjoying the tightness of the smaller man. He pushes his cock in all the way and starts thrusting slowly. "Mmmh! L-Leorio~ It feels so good~"
Leorio looks at the blond, his eyes hazy with lust, and starts thrusting faster. Kurapika's face contorts in pleasure, and he grabs the other man's shoulders, digging his nails into his skin. The taller man groans and starts slamming his cock into Kurapika's hole.
The blond's body shakes as he feels Leorio's big cock hitting his prostate over and over again. "Fuck! Oh, god! L-Leorio!" "Can I cum inside of you, Kurapika?"
The blond's eyes widen, and he moans loudly. "Yes, please, ngh~.. Leorio!" Kurapika grips the other man's hair, screaming his name as his orgasm approaches. "Aaahh!! Cumming~!" Kurapika cums hard, covering their stomachs in his seed.
Leorio follows shortly after, burying his cock deep inside the blond, moaning as he fills him with his warm semen. He rides out his orgasm, slowly thrusting into the smaller man.
They lay together, panting and spent.
Leorio slowly pulls out and looks at the other man, his expression one of guilt. "Oh, god, Kurapika... I'm sorry I couldn't hold it."
"I didn't know that... that would turn you on so much." Leorio says, still slightly panting. "I had no clue either, I'm glad it did though. That felt amazing." Kurapika said, blushing. "We should probably clean up and shower." Leorio admits after looking at the state of their room. "Yeah, definitely." Kurapika says, giggling slightly.
Kurapika grabbed a spare towel from the bathroom. He tossed it over the wet spot on the carpet, smoothing it down with his foot. "We'll let the cleaners handle the rest," he said matter-of-factly. After tossing their soiled clothes into a laundry bag, they made their way to the bathroom. Kurapika had turned on the shower and the warm water was flowing steadily in streams out of the shower head. "Leorio.. do you think I could wash your hair for you?" Kurapika said nervously. "Of course, sunshine." Leorio said with a warm smile.
—--
The warm water cascaded down Leorio's back, soothing away the tension from the long, exhausting night. He let out a sigh, running his hands through his damp hair before Kurapika gently swatted them away.
"Stay still," Kurapika murmured, working shampoo into Leorio's hair with slow, careful movements.
Leorio huffed a small laugh. "Didn't think you'd be the type to offer to wash someone's hair."
Kurapika's fingers continued their steady rhythm, massaging his scalp with a touch that was both delicate and firm. "I wouldn't do this for just anyone."
Leorio swallowed. His heart thumped loudly in his chest, and he was glad Kurapika couldn't see his face at that moment. "Yeah?"
Kurapika hummed in response, his fingers threading through Leorio's hair with a kind of absentminded gentleness.
For a while, neither of them spoke, the sound of running water filling the silence between them. It wasn't uncomfortable—just unspoken things lingering in the air, waiting to be acknowledged.
Leorio was the first to break the silence. "…I was thinking earlier. About how we met."
Kurapika's hands stilled for a fraction of a second before continuing. "What about it?"
Leorio chuckled. "I was kind of an ass, huh?"
Kurapika let out a soft, amused breath. "You were a bit brash. But I didn't exactly give you the best first impression either."
Leorio sighed, tilting his head slightly under Kurapika's hands. "I don't think I realized how much you meant to me until the fourth phase of the Hunter Exam. I remember when we were confronted by Hisoka—I panicked so badly. I didn't care about anything else in that moment. Just you."
Kurapika was quiet for a moment, rinsing the shampoo from Leorio's hair. "I felt the same way when you went into that cave. And later, when we opened the testing gate to get Killua." His voice softened. "That you're someone I trust completely."
Leorio's heart clenched. "You never told me that."
Kurapika finished rinsing his hair and slowly ran his fingers through it one last time before stepping back. "I never said it out loud," he admitted. "But I've known it for a long time."
Leorio turned to face him, water dripping down both of their faces. "You know, I don't think I expected to get so attached to you," he said, his voice quieter now. "But I did. And… I don't think it's just friendship anymore."
Kurapika held his gaze, his expression unreadable. "I know," he murmured. Then, after a small pause, "I feel the same."
Leorio blinked. "…You do?"
Kurapika nodded once. "I do. I mean, I tried to say it earlier before you kissed me." The blond slightly chuckled.
Leorio let out a small, breathless laugh. "Damn. And here I was thinking I was just making a fool of myself."
Kurapika's lips quirked up in a rare, gentle smile. "You do that all the time."
Leorio groaned. "Way to ruin the moment."
Kurapika chuckled. "It's fine. I like you the way you are."
Leorio's chest felt impossibly warm. He reached out, brushing a few damp strands of hair away from Kurapika's face. "Yeah?"
Kurapika nodded. "Yeah."
They stood there for a moment, the weight of their words settling between them in the gentle warmth of the shower. There was no rush, no need for anything more than this simple acknowledgment.
After they finished, they dried off and changed into their pajamas. Leorio flopped onto the bed with a content sigh, stretching out before turning to Kurapika. "You're staying here too, right?"
Kurapika nodded, slipping under the covers beside him. He lay on his side, facing Leorio, his expression unreadable but softer than usual.
Leorio hesitated for only a second before reaching out, wrapping an arm around Kurapika's waist. "Is this okay?"
Kurapika exhaled softly, shifting just slightly closer. "It's okay."
Leorio smiled, closing his eyes as the warmth of Kurapika's presence lulled him into a comfortable drowsiness. Just before he drifted off, he heard Kurapika's quiet voice.
"Goodnight, Leorio."
Leorio tightened his hold just slightly, his voice barely above a whisper. "Goodnight, sunshine."
And with that, they fell asleep—together, comfortable, and finally at peace.
