Lately Mirabel had been getting these dreams lately then ever she had been waking up with memories of her Tio, she was just questioning her powers she had been having a strong connection to those memories and she couldn't help it. Her darling husband had seen the change as well and not that he was scared he was used to it he's powers also had a similar situation with these cases.
He was surprised however to see that it was distracting her from work and spending time with the family and seeing the astral projections getting much more frequent and stronger she had been to the land of the dead several times to check if he was gone but Nothing. She sighed after her last order of the day she was fed up with it she couldn't get her head around it, Miguel sat down with her and smiled cuddling into her to comfort her.
"I just don't know what's going on". Mirabel sighed annoyed and she felt like she was gonna cry
"It's okay Mi Amor we can figure this out". Miguel smiled reassuring
"How? I have checked multiple times he's not there". Mirabel sighed
Miguel knew it probably had something to do with Bruno's powers he had a very strong feeling that somehow it was trying to connect the two again .
"Maybe it's got something to do with his powers ". Miguel suggests
His wife looked up at him with curiously and she wanted to know more to see where this was headed and what made him draw that conclusion.
"What do you mean?" She coaxed
"I mean Mira, what if after you left his powers change and what if he can reach through time maybe he's pinpointed where we are". Miguel suggests
Mirabel never thought of that maybe when she left his powers had changed and he could reach through time and maybe that's how she can communicate with him in her dreams. Her powers leave her with such surprise when they chooses to.
"I haven't thought of that". Mirabel gasped
Mirabel kissed Miguel's cheek as a thank you for coming up with the suggestion and Miguel smiled glad he could help her .
"I might try that tonight see if it does me any good, I will finally be able to get rid of this pain ". Mirabel replies
"I'm glad Hermosa, I haven't seen you smile lately ". Miguel saddens at the fact his darling wife hasn't been doing well.
Mirabel smiled and came closer and wrapped her arms around his neck.
"You know without even trying you make me smile everyday ". Mirabel replies
"How's that?" Miguel coaxed
"Just by being yourself Musico". Mirabel winked
"And I take that with pride Mi preciosa Esposa". He smiled
"You'd better, now come help me with dinner ". Mirabel replies chuckling
Later that night as the couple settle into bed and Mirabel fell safely into her husband's arms as they cuddled and she drifted off to sleep into dream. She felt as though she was pulled somehow into a deeper as if she was floating like she was stuck and couldn't move just yet she was moving, Her mind was obviously up to something.
Mirabel was near a white door and wondered what was happening as she opened the white door she was met with memories of her Tio when she was little. Reading and cuddling with him and helping clean up his room, or trying coffee for the first time and helping clean his room.
'What is happening?' Mirabel sighed
Just then she saw someone it was only a flash but she swore it was something.
'Hello? Who's there I'm not going to hurt you'. She reassured whoever or whatever was there
She had moved away from the door and went without thinking what was on the other side she clearly was curious to see where this was going to go.
'Wait hold on'. Mirabel begged
'I'm sorry miss I don't know what you mean'. The voice called
'Please turn around'. She asked
'I can't do that you might be scared'. The voice said
'I won't I promise, I've had worse'. She joked
When the mystery figure turned around she knew from the moment she heard the voice that it would be him after all these years. When he turned around she couldn't believe her eyes when she saw it was Bruno albeit looking a little different with his hair tied back and the bags under his eyes completely disappeared, yet he still looked like the same man and she knew from those green eyes.
He was actually here standing right in front of her and she couldn't believe it after 18 years after leaving he had finally come to see her even if it was a dream.
' I'm sorry miss I can't … my powers they somehow work in-' He rambled
Mirabel looked at him with glassy eyes and Bruno could see her and he stepped closer to comfort her.
'Are you Okay Miss?' He asked
Mirabel nodded and smiled.
When Bruno looked closer at the woman he noticed her smile and her eyes, like Julie's and her figure like Gus. No it couldn't be he lost her to a stupid vision years ago but he never gave up hope she was still alive even after Alma had told him to stop.
'I know you'. He whispers to Mirabel
Mirabel's face lit up with hope as she looked at him waiting for him to make the connection.
'May I?' Bruno asked
Mirabel nodded as he cupped her face with his hand and she leaned into his touch and that's the moment he knew it was her.
'Mira? He called still cautious as if it was actually her
She nodded with glassy tears threatening to spill out and Bruno hugged her tight smiling finally she was here he knew she was alive he just knew it!
"H-How d-did, I'm so sorry I didn't mean- He started rambling through tears sinking to the floor
Mirabel was heartbroken he thought such things as she joined him on the floor hugging him tight reassuring him it was okay as they both cried happy tears to be reunited finally. When they finally pulled back they looked at each other smiling .
'Mira, Mariposa you just-" He stopped
' I know I've got a lot to explain but I want to tell you one thing'. Mirabel asked
'Anything'. He held her close
'Thank you for everything, For protecting me and raising me and then never stop looking for me'. Mirabel smiled as he cuddled close like they used to
'Always Mariposa always '. He kissed her forehead gently
As he looked at her again he couldn't help but see how she had grown and how much she looked like Juile and Daphne.
'You grew so much Mija, like your mother and Daphne'. He sighed
'Figures you would say that'. Mirabel chuckled
'Mira, I haven't seen you in 18 years give your old Tio a break'. He lightly slapped his arm lightly
Mirabel sighed and smiled her Tio did have a point.
'Are you happy with them?' Mirabel changed the subject
'Of course, But we do miss you even Mamá ' Bruno said
Mirabel was shocked at the revaluation she thought That Alma could care less about her and Bruno could see it on her face.
'I know, you had every right to run but you're still her granddaughter she regrets everything she did her apologises mean nothing but still I figured you should know'. Bruno exclaimed
Mirabel nodded understanding where it was coming from and although she hated the woman for what she did she still does love her.
'Tio I know about that, I just don't think I'm ready to give a second chance yet'. Mirabel replies
'I understand Mija '. Bruno nodded
'Like you always do'. She winked as she got up and then helped Bruno up
'Are you happy where you are Mija?' Bruno asked
'Si, more than I ever have been I found a family that loves me for me and treats me with respect and cares for my input '. Mirabel replies
Bruno smiled happy for his darling Mariposa and glad she found solace and comfort in a family that cares for her and loves her for her and not for her name.
'I'm happy for you Mariposa '. He hugged her tightly
'You're not mad ?' She coaxed
'Mija, I'm glad you got a life of your own, we didn't deserve you from the way we treated you '. Bruno saddens at that statement
'Tio, look at me you did nothing wrong, you thought you did what was right by me and for that I'm forever grateful '. She tilted his head up to meet his eyes
'I'll always be there for you and love you no matter what'. Bruno smiled
'I know'. She hugged him tight
When she woke up she was beside Miguel as the sun entered the room knowing it was time to start the day, She then realised it worked she couldn't believe it now knows how to communicate with her Tio .
"Mira, Are you Okay?" Miguel grumbled
Mirabel then kissed him passionately as a thank you, Miguel was taken aback but reciprocated the kiss.
"Well, that's one way to wake me up". Miguel chuckled as she pulled away
"It worked, it actually worked ". Mirabel replies
"Really?" He was surprised
Mirabel nodded and sighed.
"So what happened?" Miguel asked
"Well, he told me how he'd been searching for me and how much he misses me and I told him how I was and he said he was happy that I built a life for myself and he said that he'll always love me no matter what." Mirabel Continued a sparkle in her eyes
Miguel loved seeing his beautiful wife smile like that and it made him happy and he was in heaven as he listened to her explain what happened .
Later that day as she finished work she noticed a note near her music box upon the self and she smiled as she read it.
'I'm here Mariposa always no matter what '
"I know Tio". She mumbled softly
As she cleaned up Her workshop the smile couldn't help stay for the rest of the day. Miguel could see how happy his Mirabel was and he change it for world.
"You seem happy". Miguel entered the workshop
"Why wouldn't I be". She answers not looking up from sweeping
Miguel laughed softly as he gave her quick peck and then noticed the note near her music box and smiled.
"I know it's not a dream". Mirabel replies
"Nethier do I Amor ". Miguel smiled
They knew that Bruno was happy and that's all that matters and Mirabel knew that no matter what happened. Bruno would always love her and no distance can break apart a strong bond of niece and uncle not ever again.
