-TK0421: Wrote down exactly what I was thinking, dude. She might not outright defeat the New Republic, but she would for sure organize the Imperial Remnants into a much more powerful faction that they were in canon. Make it clear that what remains of the Galactic Empire and the New Republic are on more or less equal footing.
-NewGuest123: Yeah dude, every species would look out for themselves first and foremost, whether they admit it or not. My head canon is that the Turians found a new species and though it would be an easy victory to get a new client species.
-I'm glad you like the Mass Effect idea! Hope you enjoy this one too!
-AdmiralDan09: Yeah, essentially the idea I had in mind.
-KingTheon722: That sounds like a really good idea! Good work, man!
-KingDiamond55: Pretty much, wrote down what I was thinking. Six and Rosenda would work together like during the events of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, but for the most part would be spread out as there are many things they have to do. But they would keep in contact with one another.
-FakeDaVinci: I honestly haven't at this point. But your suggestion has started turning the gears of ideas in my head. Maybe, I'll post a snippet of what you suggested here in the future.
-I think there was a Halo x Last of Us crossover fanfic I read at one point. Though, from what I remember it didn't update for a while and I don't remember the name of it.

A Warmaster's Return (Warhammer 40k The Roboutian Heresy: AU of Zahariel's The Roboutian Heresy fanfic)
Summary: Horus Lupercali fell at the hands of Sanguinius, the brother whom he loved most, at the siege of Terra. Ten-thousand years later, the Imperium of Man is under siege once more by the denizens and servants of the warp. However, he has returned, just in time for the latest Black Crusade and the reawakening of the Arch-Traitor. For while the warp may bring incomprehensible horror and destruction wherever it goes, it may also allow the faithful to receive hope. In this time of never ending war, no one is more needed than the greatest of the Emperor's sons.
A myriad of thoughts were going through the head of Horus Lupercali as he gazed upon the assembled crowd before him who treated him with reverence and awe. Not really surprising given that it's been ten-thousand years since his supposed recorded death with no one certain as to how the Emperor's favorite son had managed to return to the Imperium in its time of need. Not that even Horus himself knew, but that was not important.
Despite it being several years ago, it felt as if it had just happened yesterday when he found himself on Fulgrim's homeworld of Chemos led by his son turned traitor, Fabius Bile. He still remembered how he had nearly came to blows with the Emperor's Children garrison before he was able to prove he was in fact Horus Lupercali, much to the shock of the Astartes and PDF troopers present. Not that he could really blame them once they had explained that Fabius had a clone of him under his command, a vile being that he had personally slain along with Fabius during the final hours of the battle. Still, he was unsure if Fabius was in fact dead after he had been informed that despite many claiming to have slain the disgraced member of the Emperor's Children.
After Horus had prevented the destruction of Chemos and saved the third Legion, he had been escorted with all speed to Terra with an escort of Emperor's Children. During the journey, he had managed to get up to speed with what was going on throughout the rest of the galaxy and the Imperium.
To say it was a massive shock would be the understatement of the millennium.
Once he had arrived back on Terra and managed to prove that he was Horus and not some clone or some other foul scheme by the ruinous powers. He had been allowed to land on the Throne world and be granted an audience with the Emperor, with the image being forever burned into his mind.
What followed was a long conversation between father and son, but in the end he was given a mission by his father. One that he would see to no matter the cost. To bring back hope to the rest of humanity and guard its citizens from those who would see them all dead. In addition, he had been given back his old position as Warmaster and a retinue of Custodes to speak as the Emperor's voice and aid him in the battles to come.
Horus had since been very busy, as he immediately began coordinating the armies and defensive lines of the Imperium. Not to mention the meeting with the High Lords of Terra who had become even more pompous and arrogant than he had last remembered them to be.
Shaking his head out of his internal musings, his focus was back on the present. Gazing among the crowd of Astartes that had come to aid him in the upcoming battle.
Among the sea of the green power armor that his son's wore, there were the colors of other legions that had remained loyal through the heresy. His own Sons of Horus, the Night Lords, World Eaters, Emperor's Children, Iron Warriors, and even a contingent of Death Guard. A company that had just been rotated out of a grueling deployment of a purge of a growing xeno empire on the fringes of Imperial space. Though, there were no Word Bearers, Thousand Sons, or Alpha Legionnaires among their ranks. Not that surprising given that the Word Bearers were spread out on the borders of the Imperium, the Thousand Sons never had a huge number of warriors and were currently spread out. Finally, the Alpha Legion...well, was the Alpha Legion. Enough said.
Still, the Imperium was fighting on many battlefields. What he had would be sufficient for his planned crusade.
"Father..." The Son of Horus would had been chosen to wield his Talon said as he knelt on one knee as he handed the weapon out to him. Despite his best attempts to conceal it, the Warmaster could tell that his son was nervous. Not really shocking, as Horus had recognized him as one of the secret cabal of his sons that had planned to assassinate him when the Sons of Horus fleet carrying the Mournival had arrived. He had forgiven all his sons that housed these thoughts once he had been informed of the War of the False King, but the shame of planning to kill his gene-father nevertheless weighted heavily on him.
Accepting the weapon that was given to him as a gift from the Fabricator-General of Mars at the time for his ascension to Warmaster, he locked it on his right arm as he placed his left hand on his son. Giving him a smile as he helped him up. At the same time, the power began coursing through him, as if the Talon itself was cheering at finally being reunited with its long lost master.
Accepting the Worldbreaker from from of the four members of the Mournival that stood beside him, he turned back to the sea of super-humans and lifted the maul for all to see. Prompting the cheering and hollering from all those present. With many of the regular humans, that being but not limited to Imperial Navy commanders, Imperial Guardsmen, tech-priests, and Sisters of Battle joining in with just as much enthusiasm. With many of the Adeptus Sororitas prostrating before him as they bowed their heads so low they touched the ground.
Despite, everything he had seen and learned in the past few years and the steadily growing depression inside him at the current state of things, Horus couldn't help but smile. Not matter what was to come, he would lead the loyal legions to victory and bring about the Emperor's dream for humanity. To prove himself worthy of the title bestowed upon him.
Author's note: So, if it's not clear this is an alternative universe fanfic of Zahariel's The Roboutian Heresy 40k fanfic. In which, Horus, the Greatest of the Primarch's and the favorite son of the Emperor, is brought back. At which point in the story, I'm still thinking on it but I'm thinking of having him appear during the Fall of Chemos where he saves the Emperor's Children legion from destruction. Again, all credit goes to Zahariel for the fanfic idea and for creating the story and for the inspirastion for this snippet.
As always, thanks for checking this out and I will see you all next time.
Take care, gents, and remember... stay frosty, gents.
