Scepter's snippet thread and future story ideas

-NewGuest123: Glad you approve of the Rule of cool. BTW, thinking of adding my own OC chapter of space marines into the story. Still thinking on it, but they would be descendants of loyalists Sons of Horus. What do you think?
-Mental attacks, swarms, and necromorphs like the hive mind at the end of Dead Space one would together posse a threat to the Autobots and Decepticons. Yeah, thinking on it, most IPs have stuff that would keep me up at night.
-Thanks! I'm still thinking on the cult, but I plan to have it widespread within the remaining intelligent human population with detractors like Mae's parents. I think it would be interesting to show the contrast between Mae's well meaning parents, and Mae who had become a full blown fanatic and worshiper of Six.
-TK0421: Swarms, mental attacks, and hive minds would pose the most threat to the Autobots. They would be able to hold their own. But the danger is still there from thousands and even millions of people turned into mindless and mutated husks. Mental attacks would be effective as it can distract them from situations that require their attention.
-Essentially. Giving someone like Pellaeon or another trustworthy official full authority over the military will be a deterrent to Moffs and other officers and make them think twice before doing something that could reignite the war.
-KingDiamond55: Thanks! Trying to show Mae as someone who worships the dirt that Six walks on. My idea is that her parents are well meaning and care about her daughter, but Mae has become very devoted to him and has become one of his most fanatical followers. Much like any other good parent who sees they child joining a cult. Especially when she begins praying to him and seeing him as essentially a demigod. Still thinking on it.
-SCAF definitely deserves more love in fanfics and the like. Glad you like my SI marker idea. Right now, I'm thinking on having it be the black marker as that gives it more time to prepare for what's coming like figuring out a way to shield minds from psychic attacks, create defenses against the moons, hinder the rise of unitology, etc. Don't know about other markers though.
-Kingtheon722: Orks are definitely the ones having the best time. Nice ideas about the dynasty for the Rouge Trader. Also, good idea about the SI in the Dredd movie. Don't know much about the universe too, but the movie was good. Need to think on it more.
-Your ideas are pretty good, my man. Though personally, I'm leaning more towards the SI being Kimball, as it seems he can make more of an impact that way.
-Blagoj: Pretty much. If I do it, the story would be Perseus and Pantheon being an expy of XOF from Metal Gear. And not they're both working together to restore their respective nations to what they once were.
Forever we Fight (Killzone: Colonel Radec self-insert)
Summary: Being reborn as my favorite character from the Killzone series and inheriting his entire life and memories was quite an experience for me. Still, even with my newfound change, I still didn't hate humanity, even in spite of all the Helghast have been subjected to over the years. Let's see if I prevent all the pain and misery that was going to kick off, while still making sure the Helghan Empire and her people prosper. Glory to the Helghast.
Dying was painful, especially so since I got shot in the lung which caused massive internal bleeding. But it was nothing compared to this.
Helping to streamline logistics to support a planetary invasion.
It's been a few years ever since I was reborn in the body of Colonel Radec, after the original had suffered a concussion when he was a mere 2nd lieutenant during an anti-terrorism campaign in the outlands of the Helghan country side. With all of his memories embedded it in, it was quite a jarring experience. It wasn't helping matters that people who had worked with me had notice my change in behavior.
Especially, my wife, who was apparently my personal secretary and former elite shock trooper that served in the Helghast 5th Army, 3rd armored regiment - 1st shock battalion. The same unit where she and the original Radec had met.
Huh, didn't know that the original Radec was married. Didn't remember reading that in the lore or getting that impression during his cutscenes in Killzone 2.
Neat.
Still, I was able to pass it off as me recovering from the concussion and dealing with the medical issues that arose from said incidents. Since then, I rose through the ranks of the Helghan military and shook hands with the highest levels of the Helghan government and even had the ear of visari himself. Who put me in charge of training the next generation of officers, thanks in no part to my stellar record of leading men in combat. Passing down my combat philosophy and battle doctrines to the youth who showed great promise in becoming leaders . Even got to name the academy after myself.
Nice.
But while I did all that in the open, what truly had my attention was upcoming war. I knew that one day Visari would order the invasion of Vekta so that the Helghan people could reclaim what was theirs. Something I didn't blame them for in the slightest since I knew just how bad they had it, nor did I judge them for hating the entire universe for losing almost everything they worked for.
Still, as much as I sympathize with them for their plight and wanted them to flourish, I also didn't want millions of people to die. Not just on the Helghans side since I knew their planet would be completely destroyed, but for the Vektans too. As I didn't believe that they didn't needed to suffer for crimes their ancestors committed.
So, after years of planning, coordination, and manipulation, it was time to make my move to hopefully ensure peace between both sides.
I just hoped the war-mongering bureaucrats and nutcases didn't mess it all up.
Author's note: That's it for now. Hope you enjoyed this new idea.
As always, take care, guys. And remember...stay frosty, gents.
