Steve had been on the Helicarrier for a couple of days now, exploring, and he saw that the SSR he once knew had become militarized.
Loki's had been located in Stuttgart, Germany and Furry sent Natasha and Steve to go get him and the bring him back. Steve complied as he needed to get out and stretch his legs even if that meant going to another country and fighting a god. And as soon as Steve and Natasha had gotten to Stuttgart, they saw Loki blasting a cop car before he rounded up a bunch of civilians.
"Kneel before me!" Loki shouted so everyone could hear him.
No one kneeled.
"I said KNEEL!" Loki shouted as he made the copies he made of himself bang their staffs.
The people then kneeled in fear as they hoped that if they kneeled, they wouldn't get hurt or killed by this mad man. To the people of Stuttgart, this man was at a level of crazy they hadn't seen since the days of the 2nd world war and Hitler rising to power. In the crowd there were dependents of the jews and other prisoners who stayed in Germany after the war and they were scared that this man would finish what Hitler started. And the fact that the man was happy at what he was doing like this is what they were suppose to be doing all along, kneeling before him.
"Is this not simpler? Is this not your natural state? It's the unspoken truth of humanity that you crave subjugation. The bright lurer of freedom diminishes your life's joy in a mad scramble of power, for identity. You were made to be ruled. In the end, you will always kneel." Loki said
To many people, this was basically the same speech Hitler gave to turn people against the jewish population of each country they occupied. And he also went against communists, the Romani, Jehovah's Witnesses and people whose sexuality had been ousted. Though anyone who spoke up against the SS and Hitler also went to these prison camps.
Then a man, a man who could have been a child when the war ended, stood to his feet and looked Loki right in the eye.
"Not to men like you." The man said
"There is no men like me." Loki said
Loki was so brain washed that he forgot that he came to earth in the 1940's and made friends with then Crown Princess Elisabeth. And he had also forgotten that Elizabeth's father, then King George, had shown hm reports about the nazi prison camps and the people who have been taken there.
"There are always men like you." The man said
"Look to your elder people, let him be an example." Loki said as his staff wound up to fire a kill shot
The man stood proud as he said what needed to be said to the man who had shown his hand at being as bad ad Hitler. But before the blast got the the elder man, Steve jumped from the jet and made the blast hit Loki instead with his shield.
"The last time I had been in Germany and saw someone standing over a bunch of people like this, we didn't agree on much of anything." Steve said
"The soldier. A man out of time." Loki said as he stands up
"I'm not the one out of time." Steve said
Natasha then lowered the gun on the jet and aimed it at Loki's head.
"Loki, drop the weapons and stand down." Natasha said over the jet PA system
Loki then shot at the jet, but luckily Natasha had dodged the blast before it could come into contact with the jet. As Steve was fighting Loki, the crowd dispersed in fear as they didn't know if something would happen if they stayed where they were. After a few minutes of Steve fighting Loki without getting anywhere, the AC/DC song Shoot to Thrill came over the PA speakers and Steve knew who did that was.
"Miss me Agent Romanoff?" Natasha heard Tony's voice ask
Tony in his Iron man suit blasted Loki to his but and landed next to Steve on the ground
"Tony." Steve said
"Steve." Tony replied
Loki had surrendered around 11:45 PM that night, was placed into handcuffs and was loaded onto the jet after Natasha had landed on the ground.
May 1st, 2012
After midnight, closer to 1 AM, Natasha had radioed that they were over the British isles.
"He saying anything?" Fury said over the radio
"Not a word." Natasha said into her headset
"Just get him here, we're low on time." Fury said over the radio
In the back of the jet Save and Tony were talking to each other
"I don't like it." Steve said
"What? Rock of Ages giving up so easily?" Tony said
"I don't remember it being that easy. This guy packs a wallop." Steve said
Steve knew that the bad guys don't stand down as he had been told about the war with Voldemort and him not standing down.
"Still, you were pretty spry, for an older fellow. What's your thing? Pilates?" Tony asked
"What?" Steve
"It's like calisthenics. You might have missed a couple of things. Y'know, doing time as a Cap-sicle."
"Fury didn't tell me he was calling you in." Steve said
"Yeah, there's a lot of things Fury doesn't tell you."
There's a flash of lightening and a roar of thunder.
"Where's this come from?" Natasha asks
Loki leans forward a little, looking around.
"What's the matter? Scared of a little lightening?" Steve asks his prisoner
"I'm not overly fond of what follows." Loki said knowing tat this wants normal lightning
Loki looks to the sky as it darkened to a stormy color then there's a crash on top of the quinjet as something as landed on its outer hull. Tony, Steve, and Natasha look up shocked when the jet jolted and the sky darkened even more then what it was just minutes before. There seems to be a shadowy figure holding onto the quinjet which no one on the jet is happy to have as it is a security breach. There's another flash of light as Natasha speeds up the jet as to shake the figure off so she could do the job she is paid to do.
Steve runs to grab his equipment and he puts on his cowl while Tony grabs and puts on his helmet which attaches itself to the suit. Tony pushes a button and opens the ramp of the jet.
"What are you doing?" Steve asks
Before Tony can answer, Thor jumps down onto the ramp and forcefully pushed Tony in his Iron Man suit away, causing him to fall onto Steve. He grabs Loki by the neck in a way that will leave a bruise and jumps out of the jet like it was normal and no big deal.
"Now there's that guy." Tony says as he stands himself up and then helps Steve up.
"Another Asgardian?" Natasha asks in all hopes that Asgard isn't declaring war on earth.
"Think that guy's a friendly?" Steve asked
"Doesn't matter. If he frees Loki, or kills him, the Tesseract's lost." Tony said
Tony begins walking to the edge of the ramp.
"Tony, we need a plan of attack." Steve said
"I have a plan: Attack!" Tony said
Tony flies out of the jet and Cap makes for the parachute next to the hatch.
"I'd sit this one out, Cap." Natasha said
"I don't see how I can." Steve said
"These guys come from legend, they're basically Gods." Natasha said
Even though Natasha wasn't at the New Mexico incident, she had been by Clint and Phil about what had happened.
"There's only one God, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that." Steve said
Cap finishes strapping on the chute, grabs his shield, and dives out the plane, head first knowing he may get to the ground in the middle r at the end of the fight.
Thor and Loki crash down onto a cliff that seems like a bad idea as it is out in the open where Iron man and the others would find them. Thor throws Loki to the ground and in an audible thud, Loki groans in pain then laughs a bit at the situation he finds himself in.
"Where is the Tesseract?" Thor demanded
Thor and Loki were the only ones on earth who knew what the Tesseract really was.
"Oh-ho, I missed you as well brother." Loki said
"Do I look to be in a gaming mood?" Thor asks in anger
"Oh, you should thank me. With the Bifrost gone, how many dark energy did the All-Father have to muster to conjure you here? Your precious Earth." Loki spats
Another thing that Loki had forgotten with the brainwashing, Thor knows the best way from Asgard to Earth via Yggdrasil. Thor then drops his hammer, Mjolnir, and pulls Loki to his feet forcefully so they could look into each others eyes.
"I thought you dead." Thor said, his voice now soft
"Did you mourn?" Loki asks
"We all did. Our father…" Thor starts
Your father. He did tell you my true parentage, did he not?
"We were raised together, we played together, we fought together. Do you remember none of that?" Thor asks
Unknown to Thor, the man who brainwashed Loki amplified all of Loki's negative emotions that would have gone away in a century or 2 under normal circumstances.
"I remember a shadow, living in the shade of your greatness. I remember you tossing me into an abyss. I who was and should be king!" Loki said
"So you take the world I love as recompense for your imagined slights? No. The Earth is under my protection, Loki." Thor said
"Well yes." Loki says dismissively
"Then you miss the truth of ruling, brother. Throne would suit you ill." Thor said
Thor remembers all the times where he had to be the stand in when his father had to go into his Odin sleep and Thor hated it. Sure he had to put on a brave face for the public as they couldn't have a king that hated his job, but his friends and family knew better. Loki pushes past Thor and walks away, Thor follows.
"I've seen worlds you've never known about. I have grown, Odinson, in my exile. I have seen the true power of the Tesseract, and when I wield it…" Loki's rant had started but he was interrupted
"Who showed you this power? Who controls the would-be-king?" Thor asked realizing that his beloved brother was being mind controlled by someone.
"I am a king!" Loki yells
"Not here. You give up the Tesseract; you give up this poisonous dream! You come home." Thor said
"I don't have it." Loki said
Thor summons Mjolnir and holds it ready as he doesn't believe him
"You need the Cube to bring me home but I've sent it off I know not where." Loki said knowing what the All Father had told Thor.
"You listen well brother…" Thor said before Tony flies in, knocking him and Thor off the cliff and into a clearing.
Loki stands waiting as he knows his brother is brash enough to knock this mortal out and come back.
"I'm listening?" Loki said to himself
Thor and Tony crash through the trees to the ground, Tony lifts his faceplate.
"Do not touch me again." Thor says irritated
"Then don't take my stuff." Tony said referring to Loki
"You have no idea what you're dealing with." Thor says
Sure the realm of Asgard and gods were out of Tony's death, but he had a job to do and the man in front of him won't stop him.
"Uh- Shakespeare in the park? Doth mother know you wear-th her drapes?" Tony said jokingly as to throw the man off.
"This is beyond you, metal man. Loki will face Asgardian justice." Thor said summoning Mjolnir and being ready to fight.
"He gives up the Cube, he's all yours. Until then stay out of the way." Tony said
Tony's faceplate drops down so he can go grab Loki and take him back to the jet.
"Tourist" Tony scoffs as he takes a few steps away from the man.
Thor throws Mjolnir, hitting Iron Man square in the chest, sending him flying, landing on his back.
"Okay!" Tony said as he readies for a fight
Loki smirks from the cliff top where he had been left as Thor summons Mjolnir back and begins swinging it in circles for hi next attack. Tony gets onto his feet and fires a repulse blast at full volume to Thor which kicks the blonde through a few trees. Thor stands to his feet, summoning a bolt of lightning as Loki watches in joy the fighting from the distance as he wished he had a snack. Thor sends the bolt at Tony and the Iron Man suit protects him from the damage.
"Power at four hundred percent capacity." JARVIS said
"How bout that?" Tiny said smirking
Tony fires at Thor some more and the 2 stand ready then fly at each other, smashing through the trees and scraping up a cliff side. Trees are toppled as the 2 men crash to the forest grounds like it was an interpretive dance of sorts that the 2 were doing. Thor and Tony stand quickly and Thor sends in a left hook so Iron Man is about to punch but Thor grabs his fist before that happens. Iron Man is about to send in his left hook and Thor grabs that fist as well with an evil little smirk.
Thor begins to crush the right gauntlet of the Iron Man suit with ease andTony looks at the HUD which is alerting him. He groans and thinks and he lifts his palm, that is being crushed and he fires a blast at Thor's face it does nothing to Thor so he headbutts him.
Thor headbutts him back and Tony flies back into a tree before coming to a stop and launching himself at Thor in retaliation. Tony throws Thor into a nearby broken tree and Thor then stands and the two go at it for a bit longer a fist fight. Thor summons his hammer about to slam down on the chest of Tony but Tony ditches, causing Thor to fall on his face. Behind the rising Thor, Tony swoops in and punches him into the dirt like a child.
They get ready to sends blows at each other until Steve's shield ricochets off both their chest.
"Hey! That's enough!" Steve yelled to get their attention as he catches his shield.
He jumps down of the tree and approaches Thor and Tony.
"Now I don't know what you plan on doing here…" Steve started
"I've come here to put an end to Loki's schemes!" Thor said
"Then prove it. Put that hammer down." Steve said
"Uh, yeah! No! Bad call, he loves his hammer…" Tony started before Thor swings his hammer back, sending him behind away.
"You want me to put hammer down?" Thor asks
Thor leaps, swinging Mjolnir, Cap raises the shield over his head and when the 2 connect there is a loud boom and a flash of light. The 3 are thrown backwards and they slowly get to their feet and come together.
"Are we done here?" Steve asks
