"Urgh, finally~! Flying was a lot more boring than I thought it would be!" Irina groaned as the two families walked out of the airport nearest to their destination, Issei rolling his eyes as their parents simply looked amused at the two's interaction.

"You were asleep for most of the flight and when you weren't sleeping, you were either annoying me or stuffing your face with food."

"I was not! Mom~ Tell Issei I was not annoying him."

"You were, sweetie, but he found it endearing."

"Really?" Irina asked with a hopeful look at her mother, who nodded before the young girl turned to Issei only to give him a deadpan stare as he quickly shook his head.

"I did not. You kept interrupting the favourite parts of my book." Issei answered as they continued walking, to which she huffed and crossed her arms before Issei blinked as he felt his father's hand on his shoulder.

"It's good to see you're eager, buddy, but you might want to stay close. We're no longer at home, so you might disappear without us knowing." Gorou spoke with a slightly nervous smile and Issei's eyes widened as he realized what his father meant before giving a sheepish smile and nodding.

"Right. Sorry, I guess the excitement got to me."

"It's okay, Gorou. Most of the airport security are always on the lookout and the crime rate here is very low. See?" Touji said while gesturing with his head to the side and the Hyoudou family looked in the direction just in time to see a squad of five soldiers dressed in tactical armour and assault rifles hidden amongst the crowd.

"There are more hidden as civilians and even more hidden as airport staff so the moment something happens, yo can expect at least half of the airport to be on the case."

"Uh…okay, that's impressive." Miki spoke with wide eyes and Reina giggled as she patted her friend on the shoulder.

"Believe me, it took Irina and I a few trips to get used to it. Just know that Issei and Irina are protected at all times."

"That does put my heart at ease. So, are we near the hotel or what?" Gorou asked as he turned to Touji, who smiled while shaking his head as he took out his phone and pressed a few buttons.

"We still have 20 km to go, but I think our ride should be here right about…now. Ah, here it comes." As Issei turned to see what car was coming to pick them up, his eyes widened at the trio of black SUVs driving up to them, the Shidou couple laughing at their friends' slack-jawed faces while Irina giggled at Issei's wide eyes.

"…Are you sure you're not something bigger than a pastor?"

"Ah, I forgot to mention. I'm also the regional manager of the Christian churches in the entirety of Japan." Touji said with a chuckle as he patted Gorou on the back before nodding to the car as a man climbed out from the front seat and opened the back door in the middle car.

"Now then, let's head over to the hotel."

"…I'm in heaven." Issei whispered in awe as he caught sight of the library hidden behind a pair of doors in the luxurious hotel they were staying in, Irina looking a bit amused at her friend's excitement as Issei shook with happiness while rushing forward.

"Hold it right there." Gorou spoke as he caught Issei by his collar, Miki looking amused as the Shidou coupled shared an amused look.

"B-But! But Dad~! It's right there!" Issei whined before grumbling as his dad simply pulled him back and placed him at his side.

"First, we go to the room. Then, we unpack and THEN, we can do the library if there's time."

"Fine~ but I can take a book out, right?"

"Unfortunately, not. The hotel is very strict on its books seeing as every book in it are the first edition copies of the original texts that the Vatican church themselves possess." Touji answered as they walked towards the counter, Issei blinking at his words before slowly turning to his dad with a pleading look.

"Nope. Room, unpack and then library."

"Urgh~ fine." Issei grumbled as he followed after his dad, who rolled his eyes with an amused look before snorting as his wife gave him a wink.

"Good work."

"Oh, it was nothing. Besides, he's probably going to unpack in about thirty minu-!"

"Mom, Dad! Let's go and put the clothes away!" Issei spoke from where he was holding the elevator door open, Touji blinking as he looked down at his hand only to see just the key to the Shidou family's room.

"…Forget that. Give him ten minutes and everything will be packed out neatly."

"Ah, the smell of an abundance of paper that have been preserved for hundreds of years~ There's no smell like it." Issei whispered with a blissful smile as he walked into the library, taking a deep sniff with closed eyes while Irina, Miki and Reina shared a confused look.

"Auntie Miki, is Issei always this weird?"

"Only when he finds books that he has not read yet." Miki answered, Issei rolling his eyes as he walked forward and towards the rows of book shelves in front of him that were nearly the size of a two story house.

"Um, young boy. I would ask that you please step away from the books unless you have proof of your stay in our hotel." A mature voice spoke up in Italian and Issei turned to see a man that looked to be in his late fifties walking towards them, the young boy blinking before looking up as Reina stopped in front of him with a smile.

"Apologies, sir. This is the son of my friend and he has a love for the academic."

"Ah, a bright mind that yearns for knowledge, eh? That's rare in our current times. I don't suppose you have a keycard to show that you are indeed staying here?"

"We do, mister. Mom, he wants to see the card." Even Issei was surprised as fluent Italian flew from his lips before he could think about it, his mom looking a bit surprised before she processed his words and took the keycard to their room out of her purse.

Reina did the same and the man looked at both keycards before smiling and nodding as he stood upright and adjusted his tie.

"Apologies for the hostility, but some of the books in here are very valuable pieces of history so we have to be on alert."

"Completely understandable, mister. Have a lovely day."

"And to you as well, young boy." The man spoke with a smile and a nod before walking away, Issei smiling and waving at the man before blinking as he felt someone poking his shoulder, turning to see Irina looking at him with a shocked look.

"Since when can you speak Italian?"

"Uh, I don't know."

"You don't know?" Reina asked with a raised eyebrow, Issei shrugging before grinning as he rushed towards the nearest book while Irina's mother frowned as she looked at a frowning Miki.

"You believe him?"

"A bit, but it is quite weird that he is able to speak it fluently when we have never given him any books on the Italian language or that were written in it." She muttered as she watched her son pick out a book, her frown deepening as she watched him go into what their family called his 'reading mode' as his attention was entirely focused on the book while Irina giggled as she sat down next to him while taking out a fictional book of her own.

'I need to talk to Gorou about this.'

'So, I can just instantly translate any language, huh?' Issei thought with a frown as he had four books placed open in front of him, one of which was one of his own books that he brought from Japan that he also got stamped to show that it was his and not the library's.

The other three books were those that he found inside the library, of which he found out were written in Italian, Russian and Latin.

However, as he read it, his mind instantly translated it into Japanese for him to read, a frown appearing on his face as he also found that he was able to quickly process the information faster as well.

'I mean, I did notice that I can read faster after Gramps and I trained for a few years, but I've never been able to read this good at all.' That was not the only thing he noticed over the past few days since he and his friends and family appeared in Italy.

There was also the fact that the auras of every single one of Mr. Touji's bodyguards were just as bright as Mr. Touji's aura, even if his was just a bit brighter.

However, the third thing he noticed and the biggest out of them all…was how pure and refreshing the air of the Vatican City was.

That wasn't even the tourist from Japan in him talking considering the amount of carbon gases his country pumps out.

No, he was talking about the purity of the air itself, which smells and tastes like heaven itself and it felt as if the air was rejuvenating his body, with him waking up more and more overjoyed since he woke up every morning.

'Is that because the Vatican City is seen as the centre for Christianity and angels originated from the Bible that is closely linked to the Christian religion? If so, that might be why I feel like I'm getting stronger bit by bit every day.' Issei thought with a frown before shaking his head as he closed the books in front of him, looking to be in thought he looked over to see his mom reading a novel while Irina was busy with some kind of drawing.

Looking over her shoulder, he was not surprised to find her drawing Linia, the whip-sword female hunter from Yokai Hunter that uses an acrobatic style to swerve around her opponent's attacks and then kill them with an elegant display of skill & power.

'The arms are too long & the hair too dark. Then again, she's the better artist of us two, so I can't exactly criticise.' Issei thought with a shake of his head as he stood up, grunting as he picked up the three heavy books of the library before walking to place them back in their places.

However, it was as he placed the final book away that he felt something shift in the air of the library, the young boy frowning as he looked around and found an eerie silence in the air.

"Uh, mom?" Issei whispered/ called out as he walked back to the table his mom and Irina were supposed to be at only for his eyes to widen as there was no one there.

'Okay, okay. W-Well, maybe they left to go pick up something at the room, right?' Issei thought with a shaky smile as he walked towards the doors to the library and noticed how not even the librarian was at his desk, going to open the doors before squeaking as he nearly fell into an abyss.

Hanging onto the doors with gritted teeth, Issei groaned as he pulled himself back into the library before slamming the doors shut, taking deep breaths to calm his racing heart as he was wide-eyed at the fact that he nearly died.

'W-W-W-W-What the hell is going on here?!' The young ten year old thought as he spun around, looking around to figure out just what was happening before freezing as a low menacing chuckle came from inside the library.

Without hesitation, the young boy leapt over the librarian's desk and landed with a soft grunt, curling up under it just as he heard a footstep echoing in the silent library.

"This is why you can't trust a spell made by a damned human. It must have thrown him out and given him to the Dimensional Gap. No, if that happened, then the dimension would have fallen apart since his life is linked to it." An elegant yet malicious voice spoke up as the footsteps neared the desk before Issei suppressed his flinch as fingers began to tap on it.

"Hmm, I didn't see him at the tables and he didn't fall out, which leaves only one place for him to be. So, unless you want me to accidentally kill you through the desk, why don't you come out out, little Miracle Child?" The voice spoke with a hiss as Issei heard what appeared to be claws scratching at the desk, gritting his teeth as he clenched his shaky hands before nodding as he spun around to have himself facing where the voice was coming from.

"All right. You leave me no choice, then. I'll count to three or I'm pulling you through the desk. One…two…hah, fine. Th-!"

"THREE!" For the first time since his training, Issei shouted as loud as he could while pulling on his voice, watching in shock and awe as the world in front of him was ripped away by a devastating shockwave, closing his eyes to keep the wood chips from going into his eyes as the world around him exploded.

As the sounds of explosions and destruction died down, he slowly opened his eyes to look around only for his eyes to widen at the sight of the library being completely destroyed, his eyes instantly focused on the screaming being lying in the background.

One of their black-feathered wings were torn off and lying to the side as the man laid on a destroyed book shelf, jagged and sharp wooden stakes stabbed deep into his left side and his left thigh while blood flowed profusely from the right eye of the being.

Issei felt sick at the sight of the man lying on the floor, but had to force himself to slowly move forward, making sure to pick up a flat wooden plank that covered his entire body before jumping as the man turned his glare to him.

"You fucking bastard! I'll kill you! I'll rip your corpse apart and kill your family with it! I'll-!"

"You WON'T!" Issei shouted once more with a glare as he heard the man's threat, the man wheezing as another shock wave picked him up and slammed him back first into the far wall.

Wanting to get out of here, he gave a quick and sharp whistle and turned around just as he watched an air blade flying through the air, the sound of flesh being sliced and a heavy thud on the floor making him flinch slightly before he took a quick peek as he heard something rolling across the floor.

He quickly spun away as the blank eye of the man's decapitated head looked at him and suppressed his urge to vomit as he watched the world around him shifting, his eyes widening as all damage to the library was repaired within mere seconds before the sounds of panicked voices appeared once more just as Issei found himself back in the library once more.

"Issei!" I blinked as he heard Irina's voice, turning to see the girl rushing towards him with tears in her eyes before she hugged him in a tight grasp.

"Did you find hi-Issei! Issei, are you okay?!" His mother asked as she quickly raced over, the librarian looking just as concerned before he watched as the man frowned the moment he caught sight of him.

"I-I'm fine."

"Where were you? Did you go outside?" His mom asked before frowning as he shook his head and looked hesitant.

"Y-You wouldn't believe me if I told you."

"Ise, you can tell me anything, okay? I won't judge you, sweetie. Now, where were you?"

"Before you do that, young man, I must ask that you wait until Sir Touji comes before you speak."

"Why do we need to wait for Tou-!" Miki stopped talking as the doors behind them burst open, a bit surprised & concerned to see the man in question walking in with a bloody sword along with his guards spreading out into the library.

"Scan it from top to bottom. I want to know just how in the Lord's name they got through the seals."

"T-Touji, what's going on?" Miki asked and Touji blinked before letting out a sigh as he saw Miki looking at him with a cautious and concerned look while holding a confused Issei and a crying Irina behind him.

"…Hah, come on. I'll explain it to you and Gorou."

A/N: And Issei's first fight was a landslide as he beat up his first Fallen Angel with ease.

For anyone thinking that it was too easy, this isn't a powerful Fallen Angel(compared to others) and there was a combination of the blunt force from a shockwave and large wooden stakes that stabbed him.

Also, sorry for the weeks of no uploads, but I was feeling burned out(Is that the right term? Eh, we're using it) with this story so I decided to stop writing for a few weeks to recharge my brain but now I'm ready.

Anyway, as always, read, enjoy, review and until the next one…

Ba-Bye~!
