Door to the Truth
We open to a grey void like with nothing in it, nothing except for a familiar blue robotic Hedgehog floating in this void, LED eyes closed. It was Metal Sonic, Emerl's best friend and rival briefly turned enemy before he came back to his senses.
Metal grunts and comes too opening his eyes and looks around asking out loud "Where am I…?"
All of a sudden a voice speaks out to in within the void and told Metal "Stay asleep."
Metal gasps and moves so that he was floating in a standing position as he calls out "Who's there?!"
"You should remain asleep." The voice tells Metal. "Here, between light and dark."
"Between….what?" Metal asked confused. He then remembers someone and asked "Makoto! Where's Makoto?! Together we closed the door to darkness. After that…"
"You came drifting here by yourself." The voice finishes up the sentence "You did not have the strength to overcome the darkness. Or…maybe you were close to it."
"Hmph. As if I'm some kind of demon bot." Metal said to that scoffing annoyed.
Turn from the light. Shut your eyes." The voice tells Metal "Here, blanketed by the darkness, sleep is safety. Sleep is eternal. But…" All of a sudden a blue card appears from a spark of light in front of Metal.
Metal looks at the card which showed on it the world of Hollow Bastian and asked "What's this?"
"It is a door to the truth." The voice explains to Metal "Take it and your sleep ends, as you take the first step toward the truth. But know this: the truth will bring you pain. Will you still go? There is no return to the security of sleep."
Metal thinks for a moment then takes the card and tells the voice with a smirk "This seem like a boring place to take a nap anyway."
"That was very well said, Metal Sonic." The voice said "Another thing to note, this journey you chosen to go on, you will not go alone, you will immediately be joined by another soul you can become a strong ally."
With that the card glows a blinding light that overwhelms Metal he had to close his eyes.
When the lights dimmed Metal looks around shocked at the room he was in now, what floor and walls with a large double doors ahead of him.
Metal looks at the Hollow Bastian card in his hand and said "A door to the truth, huh…"
"So, another soul finds themselves trapped in here." A voice said. Metal jumps and summons his Soul Eater and sees walking up from a corner a black and blue alien looking cyborg in silver and blue insectoid like armour. "A jumpy one too."
"Who are you?" Metal asked him,
"My name is Prince Vrak of the royal family leading the Armada…or I used to be, since then I found myself drifting until some figures in weird armour and cloaks found me and brought me here." The figure said "I have been stuck in this room without any way to progress. You are the first face I have seen since arriving."
"Where is here exactly?" Metal asked.
"I am not sure, I was in and out when the figures brought me here I think it some kind of castle." Vrak said shrugging and points to the doors "I tried opening those doors to leave as they're the only way out but won't budge, they need something to open."
Metal looks at the card and said "Maybe this is the key to opening it. What do you say want to work together to get out of here?"
"I suppose that is the only option I have." Vrak said thinking "Very well, for now we are partners"
"Alright then, oh and I'm Metal Sonic" Metal said and goes to the doorway and holds up the card to the door.
The card vanishes and the doors open and both Metal and Vrak are engulfed in a blinding light as their adventure together begins, their adventure to move up from the basement…of Castle Oblivion.
There we go an aventure begins, what will Metal encounter with his new ally Vrak.
