Happy birthday for my beautiful and cute Tohka!

I know that it's not April yet, but this fanfic is old, now finally in English.

Feel free to leave a review, I would appreciate.

An alternative April 10th

April 10th was a very special day for Tohka Yatogami.

It was no surprise to any of her closest friends that she was a singular spirit, since she had no memory of when she was human, she had to learn everything from scratch, soaking up information like a sponge soaks up water.

And her existence ceased to be lonely when she met Shidou Itsuka, who granted her a name that day.

April 10, then, became the day the spirit known as Princess became Tohka; her surname came later and not by the ingenuity of the spirit-sealing boy. It also became the day her whole life changed, and it was for the better.

Now, a long time had befallen of that fact and it was the end of her birthday.

"Hmm..." Tohka looked up at the ceiling of her room, in her ears a song with an enveloping, peaceful melody was being produced and sung by her friend Miku Izayoi.

The idol had made an effort to make a version of a song that Tohka liked a lot, it was a very simple song that talked about love and some desserts, called Amai Koibito.

She sketched a smile, it was the third time she had heard it today, she just couldn't stop listening to it and in making memories of the sweet memories she had created today.

"Everyone went out of their way today to make it a nice birthday for me." Her eyes like two crystals emitted a glow of happiness, she even blushed slightly from her cheeks, as she moved one foot in time to the music. "Shidou made delicious food, Mana bought those Italian sodas I hadn't tried; Italy must be great, I wonder if they sell pizza on every corner; Miku sang really cute and cheerful, Nia and Natsumi made a portrait of me; it's amazing, no one had ever made me one; Mukuro gave me a conditioner; I don't know how to use it, but she assured me it's great for my hair; even Origami gave me some clips for my hair..."

They had all given her something for her birthday and she was very happy, really.

However, when a fleeting thought suddenly crossed her mind, she felt that the situation was somewhat unfair. It wasn't just about returning this beautiful gesture to her friends.

They had not always been friends, in fact, several of them were very troublesome in the beginning, starting with Origami and ending with Mukuro. It was hard to believe that they were now so close and so dear to each other.

The friendship was indeed a miracle. Especially, in the situation they were in.

"Origami was really annoying when she was in AST... when she became a spirit she was even more annoying... well, she still annoys me, but... she's very different. And then there's Mukuro... she's... well, I don't remember everything that happened, because I got invested and she... well, I..."

She frowned as she couldn't concentrate at all well, she sat up and took off her headphones, she could still hear Miku's song, because her room was in complete peace.

"That me caused trouble too. I wonder if she's okay, inside me."

She hadn't thought of it that way until now and this gave Tohka something to think about.

This she didn't usually do, as every day beside Shidou and her friends was wonderful, and when there was trouble, well, she usually had to fight or protect Shidou. It was her natural response.

When there were problems that weren't solved that way, Reine and Kotori would always ask her that there was nothing to worry about, that Ratatoskrs, them or even Shidou, would know what to do.

But that wasn't the situation right now.

"If that me is inside me, then, also today was your birthday. If I wish you a happy birthday... Will it even reach her?" she shook her head, feeling stupid. "There's no way that can be done, is there?"

Tohka thought about it for several minutes, shuffling through who of all her friends could help with this problem, but ruling out Kotori and also Shidou, since she didn't want to worry them or make her give up on this.

Actually, although it sounded impossible, she did not want to give up.

This was because an uncertainty had arisen within her about who this "I" was that she didn't even know existed, because before Mukuro, she thought she was only herself when she lost control of her powers and emotions.

What does that self think of her?

How does she feel?

Does she also want to live a normal life?

Is she happy, is she sad, is she angry?

Will she also like Kinako Pan, like her?

"...She should also have a birthday like the one I had today...she would surely like it, maybe she would like to have friends and meet Shidou. I wonder if...she would love Shidou too..."

Now that she thought about it, that didn't please her, but she decided to stop thinking about it because she didn't want to be in a bad mood.

She was trying to get somewhere with all these thoughts, if only these could come true...

"…!" She opened her eyes wider than usual and jumped up on her bed. "I know what to do!"

The next day, Nia was working hard on her manga, but since she was behind schedule, she had asked Natsumi to help her. At first, she refused, but after she told her that she could borrow some video games, the green-haired girl agreed.

They started early and finished in the afternoon, so Nia took two beers out of her refrigerator, which was full of beers, sodas and frozen food.

"Hey, Natssun, do you want a beer~?"

"Are you drunk already, Nia? I'm underage..."

"Hey! This is the first one of the day, huh." She opened her beer and took a big gulp. "Ahhh~! You don't understand, this is the taste of freedom~."

"Yeah, yeah... Don't you have a soda or something?"

"Yeah, there's grape sodas in the fridge, go ahead and grab one..." she said as she sat down on the couch with a smile. "Thanks for your help, Natssun."

"Hm..." She let out as she checked the fridge and managed to find a grape soda among so many cans of beer. "How do you manage to survive on this?"

"I order food from home."

"I see... I do that sometimes, but only with the others, and I don't even order it myself..."

Then, the doorbell rang at Nia's apartment.

"Hm?"

"Oh, is it the stuff I bought a few days ago? I'll go, you relax."

Natsumi did so and Nia went to open the door.

"Tohka!?"

"What?" Natsumi was also surprised.

"Nia, I need your help!"

"Huh?"

A few minutes later, in which both Nia and Natsumi listened attentively to Tohka with her request and ideas, both were shocked.

"Tohka... are you sure you want that you to go out?" asked the green-eyed girl, very insecure and sweating a little bit from the forehead. "I know how aggressive she was with Mukuro... she even seemed to enjoy it...2

"We are all aggressive when we fight... besides, I don't know her, we don't know her, maybe that's why we don't understand her, but we shouldn't judge her just because of that. Also, that's one of the reasons why I want this to happen."

"All of that is... it's a plot twist that I didn't expect." The gray-haired woman sounded surprised, then took a big sip of her beer, finished it, and set the can down on the coffee table. "You are very talented, Tohka. I admire your rebelliousness."

"What is this woman talking about? Did not sleeping for two days affect her that much?"

"Huh? Nia, I'm not understanding you..."

"I'm talking about I like what you think! Actually, it's very interesting, but I think we should tell the boy, don't you think so? If we do this without telling him, he'll surely get angry, and I don't have to use Raziel to know that."

"But... I just want that me to be able to have a normal day, so can it be done, Nia?"

"Hmm... well, of course I can do it, and it will only be one day, it can't be that bad."

"Nia." Hope flashed in the plum-haired girl's crystalline eyes. "Please do it! I know it's a lot, even though you don't use your powers for selfish reasons."

"This is not selfish. Nia grabbed her shoulders and smiled at her. "It's kind, if anything."

"I think... yes we should tell Shidou..."

"If we tell the boy something, he'll go crazy and tell us not to do it. But well, we can do something. Let him know after what happens" she said with a smile and turned to the little girl to wink at her.

"Nia?! What do you mean by this?"

"Don't worry, Tohka, I have a plan! Besides, if something bad happens, the boy will just have to kiss you to undo my spell~."

"...! It's true, so, no problem, right?" she asked very excited and somewhat anxious.

"Okay, then..."

"Wait!" Natsumi stood up and planted herself between the two of them. "What if she gets mad about this?"

"I was told that she was calm until Mukuro did something with Shidou that upset her... so, hn... it sure was Mukuro's fault..."

"Well, it was all Mukuro's fault back then..." The two looked at Natsumi because of the tone she used. "W-What?"

"Okay... Natssun, you're still my assistant, bring my notebook and tools!"

"Haa..." She walked towards the mangaka's work room. "This is a bad idea..."

"Okay, Tohka. Step back a bit." Nia concentrated and even closed her eyes to remember... things she really didn't want to remember.

However, this was the only way to access a lot of her powers. The truth was that she was grateful that the boy had finished off the infamous Isaac Wescott with such an extravagant technique: Secret Art: Roaring Flash Blast Wave.

So she was able to take back her Sephira completely, returning to where she belonged before that fucker stole her.

"Thank you, Nia. I'll even serve as a model for your manga if you ask me to, I'll do whatever you ask!" Tohka looked at Nia's determination as she retrieved her nearly complete astral dress and Raziel.

Nia made a few sketches in the notebook Natsumi brought her, before going all out on using Raziel, thinking of the best way for the reverse version of Tohka to come out without her having to suffer.

She first did it in the notebook and explained it to her assistant.

"Why does it look like a pagan ritual?"

"What, pagan?" asked Tohka, cocking her head to one side.

"Shhh." Nia put her index finger in the middle of her mouth. "It's like in a fairy tale, the princess drinks the poisoned tea and goes into a deep sleep that only a kiss of true love can wake him up."

"Am I going to drink poison?"

"No! It's an analogy, you're just going to drink beer and that's where the real plot begins."

"Oh."

"Raziel is scary..."

"I know, I know, but this will be for the sake of... What shall we call her?"

"Tohka two? Just kidding..."

"Hahaha."

"We can't call my other me... hmm..."

"Hm... Raziel, another way to call Tohka without losing the original meaning? Oh, very good." She smiled at Raziel's information. "Tenka, we'll call her Tenka."

"Tenka..." said both girls, convinced of the name.

That's how Nia made the corresponding drawings on Raziel and Tohka didn't fight against Raziel's influence, she took a beer, opened it and drank it.

Then, Tohka had a kind of vision where the Kinako Pan disappeared from the world, something that affected her fatally to the point of reversing. Which happened at that moment, in front of them, in a passive way, without any destruction.

"...!"

There were some changes in Tohka, very minimal, like her expression, the color of her eyes and even the color of her hair, it was darker now, her eyes had a different shade and her look was more serious, much less friendly than normal.

"Unbelievable!"

"I can't believe it, you really did it..." Natsumi swallowed saliva, expecting the worst.

"…"

"…"

They looked at her and she looked back at them, Natsumi didn't feel so much tension, but Nia started sweating because she didn't know how to start. So, she did the first thing that came to her mind.

"Um... Miss Tenka, welcome to the real world, would you like a beer?

"H-Hey, Nia..."

"No." Tenka folded her arms and sighed. "I can't believe she did this, that silly..."

"Hm?" The mangaka blinked a couple of times.

"I could hear everything... I'm always listening..."

"That makes it all easier then. Tohka wants you to have a happy day, that's why she asked for my help."

"Hm..." She turned from looking at Nia to see the green-haired girl, who looked away with some trepidation.

"H-Hello... I'm Natsumi...2

"Nh... actually, it's a waste of time. I'm not interested in any of that dating or going to school or anything like that."

"She's acting cool, but who knows if when she stops being like this, I'd better be as nice as possible, or should I run away through a window? Ugh."

"Hey, I understand that, but Tohka went out of her way to give you this day, even I. Are you seriously not going to try?"

"Nh..." She frowned at Nia, but she too became serious.

"Tohka thought about this deeply, just for you, Tenka. Do it for her if you don't feel like doing it for you."

"..." She looked away with some annoyance. "I guess... I can try... And where is her food source?"

"F-Food source?"

"Are you talking about the boy?"

"Yeah, that weak guy" replied with disdain and slight amusement.

"Oh, so you're interested in the boy~."

"Watch your mouth."

"…!" Natsumi walked away from Nia, she was getting closer and closer to the door. "I knew this was bad!"

"Hey, I didn't mean it in the romantic theme, though if the sack comes to you, you can put it on, eh~."

"Hnn..." She frowned at Nia and stopped standing with her arms crossed, lowered her arms, but clasped her hands.

"If he causes you amusement, you have my approval, Tenka."

"...?"

"If I tell you where he is, you can have all the fun you want with him. He must be relaxing right now..." She checked on Raziel. "Oh, he's in his room, reading a racy manga, jeez, hahaha."

"A what?" She arched her eyebrow, confused.

"Oh, that you have to see, I have to see!"

"Geez, Nia... poor Shidou, but he'll be fine, I'm sure he'll be able to steal a kiss from her in case things get ugly... yeah."

Natsumi almost made a prayer in her mind as Nia smiled with amusement.

The blue haired boy was in his room, lying on his bed, reading a manga that his good friend Tonomachi had lent him, he said he wouldn't regret it, and the truth was he wasn't, with every page he was getting more immersed in a fantasy with a voluptuous sensei who had to do him a very special favor so he could pass the anatomy subject.

He thanked god that his little sister wasn't home, he was perfectly alone, in total privacy, that's why he hadn't locked the door.

That... was a mistake.

"S-Sensei... nnh... nng... aah..." Shidou said, with a pleasant voice as he continued with his activity.

Then, the door to his room opened.

"Waaah!" Shidou threw the manga to the floor and turned his body to cover himself. "What's wrong, Kotori!? I already told you to knock before entering!"

"Don't yell at me like that, slave."

"...!?" Confused, but intrigued, he decided to investigate the origin of that authoritative voice. "T-Tohka...?"

"..." She walked towards the manga that the boy had thrown away.

"...! No, don't look at that, Tohka!" He left the bed and moved quickly to take it from her hands, but she easily dodged him. "Huh?"

"Hmp, weak."

"What's wrong with Tohka? It's her, but she doesn't behave like her, is she Natsumi? But why would she transform into Tohka? Just for a joke?" He tried to take it from her, but she dodged all his attempts with an amused smile, until when he was close, she kicked him and sent him rolling on the ground.

"Heh~. Well, let's see what you're hiding here."

"Natsumi, this isn't funny!"

Tenka opened the manga in the middle and started to look at what was going on, then continued reading, Shidou blushed and felt like his life was about to end.

"…What kind of disgusting manga is this?" She walked over to the window and threw it out with force.

"That wasn't even mine!"

"Of course, you were just reading it, in your room, where everything is naturally yours."

"Hnn…" Shidou stood up and walked over to her. "What's wrong with you?"

"I see you're quite stupid, it seems like you only serve as a food source, you haven't noticed. Fine, nevermind."

"Wait, why do you sound like… like that time at the cafeteria with Mukuro?"

"Ah, yes, I still remember that bitch."

"Tohka!"

"I'm not Tohka, my name is Tenka now."

"T-Tenka?"

Shidou couldn't keep up with her, how had this happened? Why had it happened? Who was the culprit?

"And from this moment on." She grabbed his clothes to pull him closer.

"…!"

"You're my slave~. So, I'm hungry, make something to eat."

"W-What? I'm not going to be your…"

"Ah, you think you can go against me? Hmp, fine, try it." She smiled confidently and stepped aside to make her astral dress appear.

"…!" Shidou took a step back, feeling the pressure of Tenka's powers. "I don't understand… how did this happen to Tohka without anyone noticing? Kotori hasn't called me, nor has Reine, there's no alarm… I'm alone, the only thing I can do now to return her to normal is… that's it."

"Fine, slave, since you want to rebel, give me your best shot, I'll let you start the fight, out of charity."

"Hn…" He approached her and took her chin and got close to her face. "I like dangerous girls like you, but I know that beneath that strength lies a sweetness, so, let's go out together, my sweet Tenka~."

Shidou added a wink to his approach.

"…" She stood there blankly for a few moments, but then slapped Shidou.

"Ught!" He immediately went down to the ground.

His suffering didn't end there, as the girl made her astral dress disappear to change into the casual clothes from before, but it was only for comfort, as she jumped a little to land right on Shidou's spine.

"Aaaah!"

"You're disgusting; it seems I'll have to teach you some manners first."

"What!?"

Then, a message arrived on Tohka's cell phone, that is, Tenka's right now. So she took it out and read the message, so she passed the cell phone to Shidou.

"It's for you."

"Eh…?" He took the device, still with Tenka on top of him and no intentions of getting up. "…Wait, what? Nia did what!? Tohka asked for it!?"

The boy had to read the message twice, only then could he understand that this had been Tohka's wish, a noble wish that came from her heart.

What was stronger than that?

For Shidou, perhaps something stronger would be the tears of the girl he loved, he was very weak when it came to such things.

"Haaaa… okay, I understand…" He handed the cell phone back to her and Tenka save it, looking at the young man with slight doubt.

"What are you talking about?"

"Tenka… let me be your slave, please!"

"…! Heh… hahaha. That's what I wanted to hear." She stood up and the boy was able to get up. "Now go to the kitchen, where you belong."

"Ugh… okay, I'll make you something you like, what do you want?"

"Nothing soft and I don't want any kinako bread…"

"Really? You don't like kinako bread?"

"No."

"…This day is being very strange."

"Move, I'm starving, slave."

"Yes, yes…"

Shidou then prepared pasta with meat for his new "owner", still very stunned by what had happened and also thought that now he would have to pay Tonomachi for his H manga, although he had to go buy it first… Why couldn't his life be something easy?

After that, Tenka demanded that food be fed to her mouth, then she asked him to massage her shoulders, then she asked him to play a good movie for her and if it was bad, she would punish him; fortunately, that didn't happen, Tenka liked the action movie that the boy put on for her.

Shidou had to take Tenka out of his house when he knew that Kotori was about to return and he didn't want to cause a stir, so he took her outside to save his skin.

"Where are you taking me, slave? And let me go." She pulled her hand away from him.

"Sorry… um, let me think about where we could go…"

"Hm… okay, I'll go with you, just pick a good place where I won't get bored. There are still more hours left, if you don't, Tohka will be sad that you didn't treat me well."

"That was manipulation, they are definitely different! But that's not the problem now… something that a tough girl like her might like… hm…"

When he found the perfect place for that, Shidou took it upon himself to take her there.

They went to a batting area, Shidou had to buy some chips for Tenka, as well as for himself, then he gave a baseball bat to the girl, who, seeing the boy's demonstration, was a little surprised.

"It looks easy, but it's somewhat difficult to hit the ball well, but I guess it won't be a problem for Tenka, right~?"

"…Are you challenging me, slave? Give me that bat."

"Sure."

She took it and waited for the ball to arrive, then she hit it, but it shot out at a low height, not like Shidou's that had shot up.

"Hnn…" She frowned. "That was practice."

"Oh, yeah?"

"Shut your mouth, you're distracting me." She readied herself again while Shidou ate some chips, enjoying his revenge.

"Oops, excuse me, Tenka."

"Bastard." Tenka gave the next ball her all, but it just couldn't achieve the effect that Shidou had achieved before.

She tried about four times and couldn't do it, so Shidou decided to grab her by the shoulders.

"…! What do you think you're doing?"

"Helping you, you have to use your hips more and also the movement of the bat you use isn't right, it's at a certain angle."

"Nnh… I don't need your help…"

"No, you don't need it, but I want to give it to you."

The young girl looked away, with a slight blush on her cheeks.

With Shidou's assistance and advice, Tenka performed a perfect home run, as her strength was clearly superior.

"…!" Tenka's eyes sparkled slightly and she smiled naturally. "Did you see!? It was so easy, slave!"

She turned to him and rested the baseball bat on her shoulder, then picked up a boneless and ate it, still smiling slightly.

"I'm glad you're having fun."

"…! Well… not bad." She looked away, but then looked at Shidou. "When I go back to sleep, tell Tohka that… thank you."

"…" He nodded and smiled happily. "Tohka will want to have a memory of this, but she won't be able to, just like that time, so… will you let me take a photo, Tenka? Just for Tohka."

"Nh… okay, you can take it now."

Shidou took out his cell phone and took a photo of Tenka, still holding the bat in the same position and smiling a little.

A photo that Tohka would treasure for the rest of her life as soon as she saw it.
