Stretchy Mom Stopping a Train Ride
Elastigirl looks out the window of the private jet with Winston and Evelyn to see the city they are about to land in as the stomping ground for Elastigirl's new start of hero work to help show why heroes are important in this world.
"Look at that. New Urbem. You wanna make a big crime fighting statement you go where the crime is big." Winston smiled, feeling excited for this big gig.
"Strange thing to be excited about, Winston." Elastigirl commented, crime isn't something one should be excited about unless you're the bad guy doing the crime.
"It's like a superhero's playground!" Winston pointed out.
"(Maybe to some other heroes I know, but at least in this case it's for a good cause to bring heroes back to America.)" Elastigirl thought smiled, knowing that Bob would love for a big chance like this if he were still here right now.
Of course, if he were here then he wouldn't have found new love with Izuku and felt more in her life, but she still holds love for Bob of the times they had together before his heroic death.
"(I sure hope Izuku is ready to be a dad.)" Elastigirl thought chuckled.
(With Izuku and the Parrs)
The Parr kids have gathered at the dining table with Izuku who just finished making some eggs for them, Dash wanted to have some Sugar Bomb cereal to some sugary fun, but Izuku stopped that before it could begin.
"Sorry Dash, but your mom said to finish the Honey-O cereal first." Izuku poured the Honey-O into Dash's bowl much to his dismay.
"Man, it's going to be weird not having mom around. I just hope we don't go through the weird phase like last time." Karen mentioned, causing Violet and Dash to shiver from that memory.
"What happened?" Izuku asked.
"Sorry dude, but we all promise to NEVER, EVER talk about that time again." Dash shook his head.
"It's personal." Violet said.
"Hey, how about we talk about how awesome mom is going to be with her mom to help improve the hero imagines! I bet she's going to stop a bank robber while rescuing a cat from a tree." Karen believed.
"Let's wait until your mom calls to know how it's going." Izuku said before looking out the window to see the bus for Violet and Dash is here.
"Okay, bus is here! Get going!" Izuku said.
Violet and Dash rush out of the house, Izuku manages to get Dash's homework into his backpack and wave goodbye to them.
"And that's my cue to be off." Karen walked out and handed Jack-Jack to Izuku.
"Found a job?" Izuku asked.
"Yep, and it pays well. Hope you have a good day." Karen hugged Izuku and gave Jack-Jack a little kiss on the forehead before leaving.
"Looks like it's just you and me, little buddy." Izuku smiled at the baby who giggles and made a big stinky in his diaper.
"Good thing I didn't have to deal with this kind of problem with Eri." Izuku sighed.
(Back with Elastigirl)
Elastigirl is hiding inside an alleyway on her hero bike doing a stakeout patrol to wait for a crime to happen while listening to the police scanner.
"All right. All locations, we need to know where you want us." One police reported.
"Stand by." Another police ordered.
"Wow, I never thought I would be in a stakeout position again to wait for crime to happen. It feels really strange." Elastigirl chuckled.
(With Winston and Evelyn)
The Deavor siblings are seen together inside a van with monitors and scanners to help them keep track of what is going on and help Elastigirl from this side.
"Relax. You're smack in the middle of the worst crime area in the city. It's perfect. It's a superhero's playground." Winson said.
(Back with Elastigirl)
""It's a superhero's playground." Right." Elastigirl said the words at the same time as Winston, then felt like talking about the past with them.
"You know, after we went underground my husband used to listen to a police scanner waiting for something to happen. And I got mad at him for it. But after his death, I ended up doing the same thing." Elastigirl mentioned with a soft chuckle.
"Sounds like you wanted to keep his memories alive more than you realize." Evelyn commented.
"Yeah, I'm such a hypocrite." Elastigirl admitted.
"All unit." One policewoman said in the scanner.
"Something's up." Elastigirl quickly listened to the scanner.
"We've been picking up some chatter about potential disruptions to the hovertrain's opening ceremony." The policewoman reported.
"Disruption or threat?" One policeman asked.
"Both. Station's at Fifty-Fourth and Nottingham." The policewoman answered.
(With Winston and Evelyn)
"A potential threat! Perfect!" Winston believed with a light punch on Evelyn's right shoulder.
"Fifty-fourth and Nottingham. Go, go, go!" Winston said and Elastigirl rode off to the potential threat to stop it.
(With Izuku)
Izuku went to check up on Violet who is doing her hair with a hair dryer to make herself look flowing. He has to admit that she looks very cute trying to look her best for that date and has her own charm just like her mom.
"(Whoa, easy there, Deku. That girl is going to become your daughter-in-law, no need to make it extra weird.)" Izuku thought reminded himself that he already has enough girlfriends to last a lifetime.
"Violet." Izuku called out, getting her attention even though she is still using the hair dryer.
"After the movie, you are to return home by 10:30." Izuku ordered.
"11-ish?" Violet tried to convince Izuku to let her be out a little longer than the curfew time.
"Nope, unless you agree to the term then I'll just have to make it 9:30." Izuku threatened to decrease the curfew time for her to be out.
"Fine, fine, 10:30." Violet sighed.
"Thank you. Enjoy the movie and make sure you two don't go into any places that may seem like a "shortcut" unless it's absolutely safe or call me for anything." Izuku advised.
"Okay, okay, I get it. Sheesh, you're still in high school and yet you keep in being a dad." Violet commented.
"Became like that when I took Eri in." Izuku shrugged before leaving.
"Shit, why is he so hot?" Violet asked, then realizes what she just asks herself.
"Ew, no! He's dating your mom, Violet. Besides, you got a date with Tony and it's going to be awesome! Plus Ultra!" Violet peptalked herself to get ready for her date.
Izuku is in Jack-Jack's room reading him a bedtime story from a children's book.
"In the county of Noddoff the Frubbers of Freep are all giving in to the sweet succor of sleep." Izuku read softly and gentle putting Jack-Jack to sleep, then tucked him into his bed with a gentle "boop" on his nose.
Izuku went downstairs thinking he could use a little TV time then looks over to see Karen is helping her little brother with his math homework, it looks a little struggle, but the young woman has it handle.
"Okay, let see what we got here." Izuku turned on the TV to see if there is anything on.
There were a few channels that have movies on, but none of them were up to his own taste unless they were about superheroes or other things involving superheroes util he stops at one channel.
"Oh, here's that Stitch anime I was told about. Guess they have it on America too." Izuku said.
"Alright Dash, we're done. Now you can do what you want for the rest of the night and try not to run on the bed again." Karen stretched her arms.
"You got it. Night!" Dash speeds off to his bedroom.
"You do math?" Izuku asked Karen.
"I do what I can, best I could do is help Dash at least get a B- on that math homework." Karen explained.
"Hey, I thought you put Jack-Jack to sleep." Karen was puzzled by what she is seeing.
Izuku was confused by what Karen meant until he heard TV channel was change and look over to his other side to see Jack-Jack is awake, on the couch with him, and somehow out of his crib.
"That's weird, I know I read the story and put him to sleep." Izuku grabbed the remote and turned off the TV.
"Did you bring him here?" Izuku asked Karen.
"Wow, I feel almost hurt for you to accuse me of such a thing." Karen pretended to be hurt with a chuckle.
"Besides, I was busy helping Dash with his math homework." Karen said.
That's a good alibi since he just saw them together at the table, but then how did Jack-Jack get out of his crib, go down the stairs, and made went all the way here to the couch. It's something no baby should be able to do.
"(I don't think Jack-Jack has gotten a Quirk, he's not four and he doesn't appear to be having any chances in him either.)" Izuku thought looked at the baby while picking him up.
"I'll go put Jack-Jack back to bed." Izuku walked away to get Jack-Jack to sleep again.
There is a big mystery from Jack-Jack, but Izuku doesn't think it's anything to take seriously though he has put that thought in the back of his mind.
(With Elastigirl)
The open ceremony of the hovertrain is going well with the mayor of New Urbem giving a speech for everyone to enjoy the train before they get on.
"Mayors often brag about their cities and I'm no exception. And I'm willing to admit that New Urbem is not the only city..." New Urbem smiled.
Elastigirl is watching over the sight of the ceremony to be on the lookout for the potential threat the police got info about, but so far nothing has happened yet though she is not letting her guard down.
"Are you sure the police are gonna be okay with this?" Elastigirl asked.
"Sure. You're making life easy for them." Evelyn answered.
"Well, I think most police forces still haven't forgiven us for the last time we made life easy for them." Elastigirl mentioned what happened 15 years ago.
(With the Deavor Siblings)
"I know the Chief of Police. There won't be a problem." Winston promised.
"And hey, maybe you can take a page out of Izuku and his Japanese classmates about reacting to the danger faster than most would." Evelyn advised.
(Back with Elastigirl)
"I'm just saying." Evelyn said while Elastigirl rolled her eyes.
"...on budget and ahead of schedule to launch our magnificent new hovertrain. It can get you where you need to go at ridiculous speeds. The future is open for business!" New Urbem Mayor cut the ribbon with the big golden scissors to open the new hovertrain.
The cameras caught everything with the ribbing cutting and the music is playing in honor of the new hovertrain with the people cheering, then people who were chosen to partake in this ceremony boarded the train including the mayor itself.
"(That kind of traveling would be really great for train traveling, maybe Japan would request one for themselves.)" Elastigirl thought smiled.
Elastigirl felt glad that the train ceremony went off without anything bad happening, but she may have jinxed that when the hovertrain was about leave and suddenly stops just when it was about to head out.
"Wait. The train has stopped." Elastigirl believed something is wrong here, especially when the train started to move backward. "It's going the wrong direction."
"It's going the wrong way." New Urbem gasped.
"I'm going after it." Elastigirl quickly moved out to chase after that train.
Elastigirl tries to catch up the best she could, but the train is moving faster than her bike could keep up.
"This thing's really moving. 100 and climbing. How much track is built?" Elastigirl asked.
"About 25 miles." Evelyn answered.
Elastigirl races through the street of the city following the train along with a few police cars coming in to help however they can, but that won't do any good if no one could stop that train from going away.
"No one can shut this thing down?" Elastigirl asked.
"They've tried. No-go." Evelyn said.
Elastigirl drove past one car.
"Is that Elastigirl?" One man was shocked as he recognizes that heroine despite the complete color change.
The police ahead keep chasing through the street, but they suddenly saw they were about to crash into another car and hit the brakes to stop themselves which unfortunately getting trap in traffic.
"Overrides?!" Elastigirl asked.
"They're locked out of the system." Evelyn said.
Elastigirl separated her bike into two to make her body stretch when she saw a traffic, she jumps and have to back reattaches to create the momentum to soar over the traffic getting to the other side of the street.
"What about a fail-safe?" Elastigirl asked.
"Not enough time." Evelyn answered.
"(Fucking damn it, isn't there something we can do. The end of that track is a dead-end with one part being complete and it will be dead for the passengers!)" Elastigirl thought refused to give up as there has to be a way to stop that train.
"How much time?!" Elastigirl asked, hoping to beat that time of death.
"Less than two minutes! There's a shortcut. Cut through the culvert up ahead!" Evelyn informed.
Elastigirl took that shortcut of a tunnel leading her to an abandoned building and jumps through a window and rode inside that building.
"I don't know if I can stay with it!" Elastigirl feared, but she couldn't let that stop her.
She jumps through another window driving from rooftop to rooftop, the only thing she could think of is to get on board that train, but it's moving too fast for her to get there until she spotted a path that could be risky enough to work.
"Plus Ultra!" Elastigirl was determined as she rode through the narrow path on top of some I-beams and on top of a crane.
She narrowly rides on the side of two buildings until she finally made it to the train on top, but a tunnel is coming up and literally split her bike on each side of the tunnel to race toward the back of the train then jump ahead once they exit the tunnel.
Elastigirl put the reserve on her bike and made her body light into a parachute to get back on top of the train, but another tunnel is coming up and this time there would be no room for her bike to make it through leaving her no choice but to abandon the bike as she flattens herself to fit through the tunnel.
Once the train exits the tunnel, Elastigirl wasted no time getting to the front of the train to see the conductor trying to get his attention, but he reacts to nothing with his eyes glue on something. She moves to the end of the conductor cart, unhooking it from the rest of the cart and turns her body into a parachute to slow down the train from going over the end until it stops.
Elastigirl sighs in relief that that is over, but the conductor cart came in bumping into the other carts making them push a little forward but not enough to make them go down.
"(Now to see what is going on.)" Elastigirl thought went inside the cart.
"Is everybody all right? Is anybody injured? Are you all right?" Elastigirl asked around, making on the people if they are hurt or anything. Luckily, there is no physical damage to them and just a little scared.
With the people okay, Elastigirl moves into the conductor to get some answers.
"Your story better be good." Elastigirl said, but the conductor isn't listening like he's in a trace. "Hey. Hey!" She slapped him a little, and then the guy finally woke up.
"What happened?" The conductor asked, genuinely confused about what just happened as he was doing his job to move the train but everything else is blank.
Elastigirl looked over to the screen to see there is a message, a message specifically for her.
Welcome back, Elastigirl. -The Screenslaver
"(Screenslaver?)" Elastigirl thought wondered who this new villain is, and what was the point of controlling the train if it was just to greet her.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
Elastigirl was right to be at the hovertrain ceremony when it went out of control in the wrong direction, and now she knows the villain who did it calling themselves Screenslaver. It looks like things just became darker for our stretchy heroine in her attempt to bring heroes back to America.
KO comment, favorite, and follow through of how this story will go!
