The scene opens within a dark, sparsely lit cave, where there's multiple sheep and goats to be seen. One of the sheep is suddenly hit by an arrow, and the others run away. The scene pans, and we're shown that it was Odysseus himself who shot the sheep. He smiles, and calls out to his men. "Over here!" He loudly says, as Polites, Eurylochus, and 26 other members of Odysseus' crew approach. Polites is shocked at the amount of sheep, cheese, and goats he sees. "Look at all this food! Look at all these sheep! I can't believe that this cave has all this for us to keep!" Euryloches throws his arms around the shoulders of Odysseus and Polites, smiling. He's clearly impressed. "I've gotta hand it to you both. This is quite the treat. There are enough sheep here to feed the entire fleet!"

As he says this, Odysseus gains a look of confusion and concern. "It's almost too perfect... Too good to be true... Why would the Lotus Eaters pass up on all this food?" He questions, bringing a hand to his chin as he thinks. Suddenly, someone enters the cave. They're gigantic, towering like a humongous statue over Odysseus and his crew. "Who are you?" They ask, a single, red eye glaring down at them, a snarl upon their face visible even in this dark cave. Their eye darts around, and they spot the dead sheep laying upon the ground, the arrow that slew it still in its body. This unknown person is clearly not a human, but a cyclops. As nobody moves, the cyclops walks over to the sheep, gently picking it up and holding it, a look of pain and anger appearing on its face. Odysseus calls out to the cyclops. "Hey there!" He says, the cyclops' breathing becoming heavier as its anger grows. "We're just travelers! We come in peace." Odysseus says, trying to explain what happened, and why the sheep is dead.

As the cyclops turns to Odysseus, putting down the sheep, his eye gains an accusatory glare to it. "You killed my sheep... My favorite sheep... What gives you the right to deal a pain so deep? Don't you know that pain you sow is pain you reap?" The cyclops' face once again gains an angry expression, full of malice. Its sharp teeth give the snarl on its face an even more horrifying look. "Time to drink your blood over where you stand. Your life now is in my hand... Before I'm done, you will learn that it's not so fun to take. You came to my home to steal, but now you'll become my meal. A trade, you see? Take from you, like you took from me." It says, pointing directly at Odysseus. Odysseus begins to try to explain what's going on.

"There's been a misunderstanding! We never came here to steal! But now that I see we've done some damage, maybe you and I can make a deal!" He says, reaching behind him and pulling out a goat skin that was full of wine. "I'll give you our finest treasure! So long as we leave alive, you can keep the world's best tasting wine!" As he says this, he offers the goat skin to the cyclops. "Wine?" The cyclops asks, gently taking the goat skin in his hand. "Have a drink! One sip and you'll understand, the power that's in your hands! A wine so fresh, you'd never wanna eat human flesh again! Then we shall be on our way! No bloodshed in here today! A trade, you see? A gift from you, and a gift from me!" Odysseus says, as the cyclops drinks the wine. As he finishes it, he puts down the goat skin and wipes his mouth with his arm. "Ahhhh. I'd like to thank you. Stranger, what's your name?"

As Odysseus smirks, he answers the question the cyclops had asked him. "My name is Nobody... Nobody... Nobody!" The cyclops nods, a smirk appearing on his own face as he points at Odysseus. "Nobody. For your gift, I've one to reply." Odysseus smiles, feeling some relief as it seems the cyclops is going to agree to let them go. "I'm so glad we see eye to eye." He says. The smile on the face of the cyclops grows, becoming less of a smile and more a feral snarl. "Yes. You shall be the final man to... die." Odysseus, confused, can only respond with a single word, horror upon his face. "What..." He says, as the cyclops lunges forward. As Odysseus sees this, he turns and lets out a scream, trying to warn his men. "WATCH OUT!" He yells, reaching a hand forward, hoping that his words reach his men fast enough.
