The scene opens at the sight of a young man in a room alone, lying on his bed and staring up at the ceiling, deep in thought. He looks a bit like Odysseus when he was younger, though there are some differences, such as the way his hair looks, and his eye color. He begins to speak. "It's just me, myself, and I... stuck in my bedroom! Living in this world you left behind..." He says, sighing slightly. "Dreaming of all these monsters that I'll never get to fight, but boy, I wish I could, so I could bring the world some light... 'cause I'm stuck with your stories but no clue who you are... and no idea if you're dead or just too far..." He states, some sadness having tinged his voice. He stands up and heads to the window, gently reaching down to scratch Argos' ears, as the dog had taken to sleeping by Telemachus' side lately, as though to protect him. Telemachus begins to speak once more as he continues to stare out the window. "Somebody tell me! Come and give me a sign! If I fight those monsters, is it you I'll find?" He asks, determination and excitement filling his voice as he speaks again, smirking slightly as he begins to imagine himself fighting things, his father's bow in his hand.

"If so, then: Give me sirens and a cyclops! Give me giants and a hydra! I know life and fate are scary, but I wanna be legendary!" He says, unable to stop his mind from wandering as he imagines himself standing side by side with his father, though his mental image of the man is foggy and unclear, as he's never actually met him. They're both fighting the monsters he'd mentioned as he continues to talk. "I'll fight the harpies and chimeras! The Minotaur, even Cerberus! I know life and fate are scary, but I wanna be L- L - L - L Legendary!" He says, leaving his room, making sure to stay out of the sight of others as he continues to speak his thoughts aloud. "There are strangers in our halls... Trying to win the heart of my mom but she is standing tall! A hundred and eight old faces of men who call me small!" He says, slight anger appearing on his face as a suitor brushes past him, hitting him in the shoulder, but not bothering to stop and apologize, merely continuing to walk through the palace even as Argos growls up at the suitor. Telemachus looks down at the ground, clenching his fists a little as he speaks again. "They keep taking space and it's not much longer we can stall!" He says, before he enters a storeroom, a place he knows he won't be bothered by the suitors in, Argos following him. "Cause they're getting impatient... Dangerous too... and I would fight them if I was half as strong as you!" He says, thinking back to how one of the suitors had ripped an Amphora filled with wine out of his mother's hand when she'd been trying to be polite and hand it to him.

As he speaks once more he leans back against a wall and slides down, sitting on the floor as he stares up to the ceiling of the store room, Argos laying down next to him. "Somebody help me! Come and give me the strength! Can I do whatever it takes to keep my mom safe?" He says, closing his eyes, his mind wandering once more as as he talks, resting a hand on Argos' head. "If so, then: Give me sirens and a cyclops! Give me giants and a hydra! I know life and fate are scary, but I wanna be legendary!" He says, opening his eyes and slowly standing, motioning for Argos to follow him as he leaves the store room and begins to walk towards the central hall of the palace. "I'll fight the harpies and chimeras! The Minotaur, even Cerberus! I know life and fate are scary, but I wanna be legendary!" He says, as he begins to hear the voices of the suitors from the central hall start to reach him. "Where is he? Where is the man who'll have you to wife? Oh!" They say, clearly speaking of Penelope. Hearing this makes some anger enter Telemachus' heart, but for now, he ignores it and keeps walking as the suitors keep talking. "Where is he? Where is the man with whom you'll spend your wife? Cause it's been twenty years!" They say, causing Telemachus to stop walking, wincing at the thought as he echoes them. "Twenty years!" He says, the suitors not having noticed him yet, even as he stands in front of the entrance to the central hall. "And we still have no king!" The suitors say, causing Telemachus to begin to speak his thoughts aloud. "Give me a chance! A single opportunity and I'll overcome these obstacles and scrutiny and-"

Telemachus, standing by the entrance, has finally been noticed, and his thoughts are interrupted by the man the suitors seemed to consider a leader of sorts, Antinous throws a piece of bread at him, hitting Telemachus in the face with the food the suitors had been given as the older man speaks. "Boy! When's your tramp of a mother gonna choose a new husband?" He asks, as the piece of bread that he'd thrown at Telemachus falls off the younger man's face, as Telemachus turns to face him rage upon his face, the suitors almost cheering for a fight as they watch. "OH!" The suitors say, drawing attention to the conflict occurring. "Why don't you open her room so we can have fun with her?" Antinous continues, smirking towards Telemachus. "Don't you dare call my mother a tramp!" Telemachus yells out, glaring up towards the older man as he begins to walk towards him. "OH!" The suitors say again, echoing themselves as Antinous stands up and walks towards Telemachus as well, his smirk not fading as he looks down at the younger man. "I just did. Whatchu gonna do about it, champ?" Antinous mockingly says, poking Telemachus in the chest as if he's daring him to do anything. Telemachus takes a deep breath, as if to calm himself, but it doesn't work, his anger flowing through him even more as he grits his teeth and closes his eyes, speaking his thoughts aloud one last time, showing what he really thinks of Antinous. "Somebody tell me... Come and give me a sign... If I fight this monster, is it you I'll find?" He asks, opening his eyes, glaring up at Antinous, not caring how much taller and stronger the older man likely is compared to him as he raises his arms up and prepares to fight him.
