Harry always thought that Ed was strange. When facing Boggarts in DADA maybe something will be revealed that will help Harry understand the mysterious foreigner better. OotP AU. Set in Brotherhood post-Promised Day but Ed still has his Alchemy and Automail because of reasons.

In a battle against his own past and the unknown future, Edward struggles to get himself and the other Amestrian souls back home.

A rewrite of the first chapter of my old fic "Keeping A Promise." After the death of his wayward apprentice, Nicholas Flamel, Edward Elric promises to protect Harry Potter, the child who saved the Sorcerer's Stone.
