One day Lestrade discovers a small homeless boy named Sherlock, living down in the dark of the tunnels beneath London with his protector and friend, John. Slowly Lestrade learns of the sad life the two have lived so far and how they came to be alone in the world. In an unsteady voice, much too high to be professional, the reporter announced the fate of the plane, John's plane. They thought it'd be the other way around. They thought they'd have more time. But turns out they don't.

Sherlock was dead. John Watson was in mourning, unable to leave their flat, too miserable to stay. A technician arrived at the door with ginger hair and eyes that were so, so sad. He left without a word.

Rated T for language and themes. John storms out of apartment 221B after being annoyed by Sherlock for several hours. However, the military doctor leaves his coat at home and gets sick. Luckily, he has Sherlock, who is even willing to put off cases until his recovery.

Dr. John Watson wakes up in Bismilah Rehabilitation Center, with no memory of how he got there, and a Moriarty playing innocent. The only way John can leave is if the doctors confirm he is "fixed, and "remembers". But with the crazy patients, and inconvenient happenings, John isn't so sure he can ever leave.

Sherlock is confronted by the American military and given a series of IQ tests. While they are meant to reveal Sherlock's intellegence, they force Sherlock to delve into his mind palace and see who he has really been thinking about for such a time: John Watson. (for Viv24)
