Hello everybody
First spoilers for the recent Daredevil Born Again Disney show, though the real obvious stuff should be known by now. Still a fair warning.
Unlike the fairness, my friend Aragorn_II_Elessar with his coauthors for Brainstorm_Sorcerer, or Gussygus28 received on the Champions & Wars story over on . What do I mean? Some jumped up little jerk using guest review throwing a toddler fit spoiled the first episode of Daredevil Born Again for Foggy being killed and demanded as an entitled brat the story not do that.
This idea I was floating around this morning but after seeing that well blame the guest for the last nail.
Really is a symptom of a larger problem for the toxic Foggy fanbase in the MCU fandom. Well, that and every single reviewing site losing their living heads is like goodness, you guys flipping out like John Wick on a rampage after Wick's dog died.
Even Charlie Cox, who I normally respect given he actually likes playing Matt, only putting aside his support of Matt being ruined in She-Hulk garbage says he is upset Foggy dying cause Foggy was the heart of the MCU. Right… this guy was much less the heart of the Netflix show, let alone everything from Marvel.
Yeah, Foggy the same guy who did nothing but judge Matt since finding out for pretty much the remainder of season 1, then all of season 2 as if he was some moral god, blaming everything wrong on Matt, acting like he has a right to Matt's personal life of Daredevil is a disease, refusing to listen to his supposed best friend? Yes, this person who at most I ever got lukewarm on a good day with, like in season 3 when he finally came around is the supposed heart of MCU and justifying this kind of outrage? Bullcrap.
Really to all the Foggy stans I'm glad Franklin Nelson is gone since he is far overrated. Not as much on considering Robert Downey Jr./Tony to be on his pandering/can do wrong/creates more problems than he solves and such, but still.
Get out your pitchforks and cry me a river next to Kaite/Laurel's death from Arrow as I can easily see similar outrage for now, Saint Foggy. All this acting like the whole universe is dead when it's supposed to be about Daredevil for Matt Murdock, not Foggy Nelson's adventures.
Disney screwing over Wilson Fisk/Vanessa pairing a twisted couple who love each other, for Vanessa cheating on Kingpin leaves me more ticked off than Foggy dying.
Lastly thanking Stand with Ward and Queen/Doctor Skywalker alongside Aragorn II Elessar for their aid.

Nighttime, Loft in New York City – January 2026
Stepping over to a wall Matt Murdock presses his hand against it moving the hidden paneling aside on revealing various shelves containing his gear. Reaching out Matt unlocks a small wooden box running his hands over the metal red batons inside, letting his fingers adjust to the familiar texture.
"You are returning, aren't you? Just never can resist the excuse" Foggy says a few feet away.
"Things have gotten worse from corruption, random violence both Wilson as Mayor with Vanessa running their criminal enterprises in private. Hector Ayala is right about somebody having to step up after I quit, a lawyer can't keep Nicky Torres in one piece. Even Karen knew I was fooling myself" Matt says.
"You are wrong Matt, like always. You rebuilt your life after my murder by Poindexter, you have a successful firm with Kristen, with a chance to be happy with Heather. Only going back to wearing a mask? To have Fisk come after you again, for what? No doubt he'll hunt down that Spider guy. Hector is sitting facing losing his freedom and case cause just like always with you types you never care about the consequences, the people in your life" Foggy replies bitterly "But why waste my breath? Even the danger of the Sokovia Accords didn't stop you despite everybody having powers being put at risk for imprisonment, a little anti-vigilante bill is nothing for your darker half."
"Enough Foggy" Matt says in a quiet, harsh tone.
"Just imagine all the good you do as a lawyer? Do you have any idea what would happen to every single case if your darker half ever came into public light? The side that wanted to beat up those illegal cops at Nicky Torres's apartment. You never let anybody else look out for you. I mean not even Fisk seems like he wants to start tiring feuds, not that I think he should be Mayor or be anywhere other than prison with his wife" Foggy says.
"Because you don't look after me," Matt replies harshly whirling on Nelson "You have judged me ever since discovering my secret. Not once did you listen. Even when I thought we got past this you still didn't tell me about Benny being at your place or in danger. I am done apologizing for who I am, I am done taking the blame for everything that went wrong in our lives. "
"If you do this your life will be nothing but tragedy and you will never know peace. Just feeding an addiction" Foggy says.
"During this past year, I have tried it your way of only being a lawyer, and like the last time prior to Midland's Circle, it didn't succeed. Only the law isn't perfect, and Daredevil keeps people alive. I'm sorry you were not one of them" Matt replies, "Goodbye Foggy."
As Foggy seems to fade Matt steps back over to the shelves.
Short time later, in NYC - January 2026
Garbed in his red outfit Matt Murdock races along the rooftops with stopping near, an edge when hearing below is some members of a cartel harassing a family, including a kid.
Waving knives and threatening to carve up the people with sending them to their friends and family in grocery bags for fun. Angrily frowning Daredevil quickly moves downward using the pipes, ledges, and a ladder where upon nearing the ground rapidly throws out a baton striking one of the man's hands removing him of a weapon, causing four men and three females to look towards the vigilante.
"Let them go" Daredevil growls while catching the baton on a return arc.
The cartel members rush forward towards the vigilante who in minutes has them beaten down onto the pavement with broken arms, legs, ribs, and damaged skulls including eyes, jaws, and noses. As the cartel members lay on the ground, a few drift into a state of unconsciousness.
"Get home," Daredevil says.
"Are you really back?" one of the would-be victims asks.
"I am" Matt replies.
Aiming a baton upwards Daredevil presses a button firing a cable with being pulled onto the roof and into the night. For the first time in a year, Matt feels like is born again once more.
