Team Yamato was heading home with an accomplished mission. Turns out the two rogue ninjas were in the Mist Village's S-Ranked Bingo Book and have been on the run for 5 years. It was a two week walk back home, and for some reason, they had to rest. Yamato and Sai were sound asleep, Naruto tried, but he couldn't get that kid out of his mind. Sakura was looking at the crescent moon and wondered if Sasuke was alright. Was it a good idea to be helping a rogue ninja? And, who was that kid? Nothing added up. Thinking no one was awake, She began to sing an old lullaby. She never understood why it was in her head, but, for some reason, it calmed her down. Naruto was not far from her and heard the lyrics.

~Naruto was looking around, trying to find Rain. She was just like Sasuke, taking off without a word. It was driving him insane! One Sasuke was bad enough, but TWO?! He'd rather kick Sasuke square in the ass and hope it reaches to Rain! Finally, he found her, sitting up against a tree, looking at the full moon. Before Naruto could open his mouth, he noticed that Rain was singing something. He listened in and heard some of it.

Naruto couldn't move. Or, ask Sakura. All he could do was lay there, and remember that out of control kid. His one and only student.
'Rain,' He thought. '... I'm … I'm so sorry … I… I miss you … so much … I… I want you back …!' He felt so guilty. He had wished that he had remembered her sooner, but then he realized why. Meeting her as a Genin was forbidden. She tried so hard to do her mission correctly, but, unfortunately, she needed his help. 'cause Naruto was the only one that kid trusted with her life.

Sakura stared at the moon, wondering why she knew that song. Then, she realized that she had a file in her pack. She pulled it out, and it was a document envelope, and it was heavy. Against her parent's wishes, she secretly did a family history test to understand why her family was being so secretive. She opened it and saw that the tree went back to the 1200s. Amazing!
She saw the first page, and, of course, it was her and her parents. She flipped the next page and saw her grandparents on both her mother's and father's side. Turns out, the pink hair runs in the family. She noticed that her grandfather on her father's side had bright pink hair, and it was almost as long as Tsunade's, without the pony tails. She noticed that he had red eyes. Odd. She then looked at her paternal grandmother and saw a blond with purple eyes. Had to admit, she was lovely.
She also looked at the death dates. Both her father's parents passed away long before her parents were married. So, there was no way of finding them. She then looked at her maternal grandparents. Her maternal grandfather was, from the photo she was looking at, a very grouchy man. She also noticed a deep scar across his face. Very bizarre. Then, She noticed that her maternal grandfather had a boar forehead.
'Now, I see where I get my forehead from.' Sakura thought. As she began to look at her maternal grandmother, she discovered jade green eyes. They were beautiful. She also looked at the death dates. They passed away when her mother was very young. She began to think that no one in her family had siblings. She continued to see her family background. Every single member were farmers, no ninja training, they focused on farm work, and nothing more. She honestly thought that she had no ninjas in her family at all. That she was the only one. That was, ... until she got to the 8th generation.
She looked at the photo. Her paternal great grandfather had bright pink hair and noticed that he had jade green eyes. Must be a very popular color to love. She looked at the name of her ancestor and was shocked to see who he was.

'I'm …' Sakura thought. '... I'm a fucking princess …?!' She had no idea what to do. Should she show her parents the results? Or try to find the village her ancestors ruled? '... Wait … wait a minute! That village doesn't exist! How …' She thought it was a joke. Until she read the note.
"Jundogakure Village was destroyed when Queen Haruno passed. The land was taken over by another village, and most records were destroyed. Miraculously, The Daimyo's and Queen's son survived and fled. He suffered amnesia but remembered his family name, for it was inscribed on a lost charm supposedly given to him by his mother. As years passed, he married his wife, Miana Haruno, and had a son named Metande"
It was at that moment that Sakura started crying. Her bloodline was almost wiped out, and her ancestral village was gone?! No record at all, nothing! It was at that moment she realized. She sent a hair sample to the family history clinic, and they must have found a lost DNA connection. She looked even further.
"The Haruno Clan were well known for perfect chakra control, intelligence, determination, and Riddle Solving. Most records were destroyed. Location of Jundogakure Village is unknown. Kekkei Genkai is unknown"
"Uh … Sakura?" A voice asked. She looked up at Naruto. "You ok?" It took her a moment to regain her composure.
"... Yeah, I'm good." She said, stuffing her research into her pack. "Just, uh … reading a sad story."
"Sure." Naruto said. He rolled and supposedly fell back asleep. Sakura laid there, trying to fall asleep, but it was no use. She wondered if her parents had no idea. She'll have to look into it later.

It was daylight, and they were making it close to the Leaf Village. At that moment, Yamato looked around.
"Alright, everyone." Yamato said. "How about a 30 minute break."
"Fine with me!" Naruto said, with glee. "My feet are killing me!"
"Your feet are always tired, dickless." Sai said.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" Naruto screamed at Sasuke's replacement. Sakura rolled her eyes and continued to walk. She looked around and saw the trees were really thick. Perfect place to hide, believe it or not. She found a big tree and sat down. Luckily, it was just her, so she pulled out her family history results. She then found Miana's records.

She had enough. Her head was swirling out of control. She placed the file on the ground next to her. She tried to think of something different when she felt a presence. She sensed his chakra and recognized it immediately. "Almost forgot we were supposed to meet here, Sasuke." She said, She looked to her right and saw Sasuke in his Akatsuki robe. He walked up to her and took a seat next to her. He saw that she was really stressed. He noticed the file in her hand on the ground.
"Something you found out?" Sasuke asked. She sat there for what felt like forever. Finally, she took a deep breath in, and let it out.
"My parents don't know much about my family history." She began, "So, I did a Family History test, and ... I wish I hadn't."
"May I ask what you found?" She didn't do anything, but after a moment, she handed him the file.
"Your funeral." He took the file and read each page very carefully. He was quiet, until he got to "Kizyashi Haruno".
"You're a princess from an extinct village?!" He looked at her, surprised. She didn't know what to say.
"Apparently." She stated. "Almost every single record of my family history was destroyed." He didn't even know how to respond. "It's sheer damn luck that my DNA was in 'Lost Archives'."
"Who else knows about this?" He asked. Now, this was curious. He always wondered about her lineage, but DAMN!
"... No one." She was very confused about all of this. "Not even my parents. They won't talk about it."
"Do you know if there's a Kekkei Genkai?"
"... Not that I know of." As soon as he was about to say something …
"SAKURA!" Naruto's voice screamed. "Where the hell are you?!"
"Damn knucklehead!" Sakura growled. Sasuke shook his head. Some things never change. Both rose, and looked at each other.
"Here, ..." Sasuke said, handing her her file. She gently took it, but before she could turn, he pulled out the bottle she gave him two weeks ago. "Thank you …" She gasped. Did he-? No way! She took the bottle with her empty hand. As soon as she was about to say something, she felt something she had never felt before. A pair of soft, warm lips on her forehead. She couldn't move. This had to be a dream. It had to be. His eyes were closed. He slowly pulled away and gently lifted her chin. It was at that moment that the both of them began blushing. Both of them stared into one another's eyes for what felt like an eternity.
"SAKURA!" Naruto's voice screamed again.
"KNOCK IT OFF, I'M COMING!" Sakura turned around and screamed. She turned back to see Sasuke gone.
'... That had to be a dream!' Sakura thought. '... IT HAD TO BE …!' She then looked at her hand and saw the bottle. 'Where-... where did-?' She stared at it for what felt like forever. All of a sudden, she realized it. 'It … it wasn't…!'
"There you are!" Naruto screamed, walking up to her. "We've been looking everywhere for you, and-?" Naruto stopped mid sentence and noticed that Sakura was staring off into space, blushing. "Uh, Sakura?" He asked but didn't get a response. He then flew his hand in front of her face. "Hello?" She just stood there. Before he could say anything, Yamato and Sai came. Before Yamato could say anything, Naruto said a phrase that he dared himself never to use."Hey, Billboard Brow!" At that moment, she looked at him, with daggers, and a fist, holding the bottle, pulsing with chakra, and it was at that moment, the bottle shattered
"What does that mean?" Sai asked. As soon as Yamato could respond, Sakura took a fist to Naruto's face, hitting him with everything she had, sending Naruto flying six feet away.
"AHHH!" Naruto screamed, wishing there was a better way to snap her out of it. Sai and Yamato stood there, watching. She then walked up to Naruto, each foot pounding into the ground, grabbed him by the collar of his jacket, and began shaking him fiercely.
"You wanna repeat that again, you jackass?!" She snarled very loudly as she began attacking Naruto. Sai then noticed her file on the ground. He picked it up and saw the very first page.
'Family History Report …' Sai thought. He then looked at Sakura and Naruto. 'but … why …?'

Sasuke sat at the cliff, trying to put two and two together.
'Why did I …?' Sasuke thought. He tried to think about something else, but all he could think about was Sakura and what he had done. When he was twelve, the thought of him getting a crush, let alone falling in love with someone, was absurd! He had no time for it, but now … he even remembered the feeling he had when he placed his lips on her forehead. It was really weird, but his heart … sped up, and it caused him to quiver. It wasn't any of his business, but he often wondered if … his father went through the same with his mother … he then remembered what he had in his pocket. He pulled it out and stared at it. Was it a good idea? He wasn't gonna lie, he did want her back, but … would she be able to go through with it … they were on the same team a long time ago, and he really didn't want to hurt her in any way. Should he talk to her and see if she would …
"Sasuke!" A voice called out. It pulled him out of his thoughts. He rose, and quickly stuffed his item into his pocket. At that moment, Jugo, Suigetsu, and Karin appeared.
"You were gone for over an hour, and Karin got really worried." Suigetsu said, pointing at Karin.
"I WAS NOT!" Karin yelled into Suigetsu's ear. As Suigetsu and Karin were fighting, Jugo walked up to Sasuke.
"You alright?" Jugo asked. "You seem to have something on your mind…And you haven't been acting yourself since you were attacked." He scoffed, and walked past his team. Suigetsu and Karin stopped fighting.
"I'm fine." Sasuke growled and headed NE. "Let's go." Jugo knew that Sasuke had something on his mind but didn't want to bring it up in front of Suigetsu and Karin. Jugo followed him, then followed Suigetsu and Karin.

"Well, another mission well done." Tsunade said to team Yamato. Tsunade was looking over at the report, Shizune was standing next to her desk, holding Ton-Ton and saw that Yamato had filled everything out. "You four were able to find the rogue ninjas that have vanished for years."
"It was nuttin'." Naruto said, with a smile on his face. Tsunade looked at Sakura and noticed her hand was bleeding.
"Sakura, what happened to your hand?"
"Huh?" Sakura asked. She looked at it and saw the blood. "HOW THE HELL DID THAT HAPPEN?!"
"Remember, you pounded me in the face?!" Naruto snapped, glaring at his teammate. She began to heal it with her medical chakra. As soon as she was done, she remembered Sasuke's lips on her forehead. She stared at her hand, blushing. Tsunade, being one of the Legendary Sannin, noticed.
'Well, well, well, …' Tsunade thought. Someone took Sakura's heart … Lucky guy …!' "Alright, that will be all. You are dismissed until tomorrow." Everyone turned to leave. "Oh, Sakura! One more thing!" Sakura stopped dead in her tracks, and closed the door after everyone left. She returned to Tsunade's desk.
"Yes, my lady?" Sakura asked.
"I'm assigning you a solo mission. Don't worry, it's not for another four months." Tsunade said.
"What's the assignment?"
"The Daimyos of the five nations are having a big dance," Tsunade folded her hands in front of her. "And they asked me to send someone to make sure no one gets hurt."
"Why is it a solo?" Sakura was confused. "Normally, a team would be assigned for that."
"I understand that, …" Tsunade said. "... but I feel my best medical ninja will be able to handle it, on her own. You will need to blend in, and pretend you are a guest. These dances don't allow ninjas of any kind to be there. But, every now and then, we secretly send one in, to make sure the Daimyo stays alive."
"I see." Sakura said. "Is it a kimono event?"
"No. It is black tie, but only the Daimyos are allowed to wear kimonos. You will need something flattering, and appropriate. There's a dress shop in the next town, you need to go and find something that will work. If you like, I can send Ino with you, ..."
"No, ma'am!" It caught Tsunade off guard. "... I can manage …"
"Very well, …" Tsunade said. "Give it some thought. I'll see you tomorrow." Sakura turned and left the room.
"Lady Tsunade, ..." Shizune began. "You think she's ready for this?"
"Oink …" TonTon said. Tsunade sat there, wondering the same thing.
"... She'll be ok. I did teach her everything I know." Tsunade said.
