Chapter Four: Remembering
Sakura was getting ready to head to the next town over to find something that will work for her solo mission that's not due for another three months. But, it didn't give her enough time to actually think of what she wanted to wear. Completely humiliating. She had collected her funds, and Tsunade lend her some extra, just in case she didn't have enough. She was heading for the village gates, when someone called out to her.
"Sakura!" She turned to see Ino running toward her. "Let me go with!"
"Ino, what are you talking about?" She asked, not wanting to hear the answer.
"Lady Shizune told me that you were going dress shopping, and I HAVE to be a part of it!"
'Great …' Sakura thought, not too thrilled. 'This is the last thing I need. Knowing Ino Pig, she'll probably put me in something extremely revealing to make all the men drool over me!' Ino took note of her expression.
"What are you thinking, Billboard Brow?!"
"BACK OFF, INO PIG!" The two women glared at each other, but quickly got over it. The two women went to the town where formals were definitely up for purchase. Both of them entered a building. It was a formal store where the outfits were either on sale or on discount. They began to look around. A middle aged woman who had orange hair and blue eyes looked up from the cash register to see them.
"Oh, hi!" She greeted them. "Anything I can help you with?"
"I-" Sakura began.
"She's gotta big date with a real hottie in three months, and she needs something that'll knock his socks off!" Ino interrupted. Sakura glared at her friend out of the corner of her eye, a sweat drop appearing on the side of her head.
"We got some things that might work." She said, "Follow me, and the name's Jenna." She came from behind the register, to reveal a black blouse with black dress pants, and a name tag that read "Jenna" in Kanji. They went into the back, and quite a variety for formal dresses. Ino looked through the racks, and came across a black thin spaghetti strap dress that looked like it would show off extreme curves, along with extreme cleavage, with a deep cut on the back, and it reached mid upper thigh.
'This would be perfect!' Ino thought as she draped it over her arm. Jenna looked at a different rack and found a red halter top dress, that was knee length, with a slit on the right side. She looked at Sakura, then back at the dress. She draped that one over her arm. Sakura was looking around when she came across one. She looked at it.
It was an ankle length white dress, made out of silk, that did show off curves, the sweetheart neckline looked like it would reveal cleavage, but not too much. She picked it up, and got a closer look at it. It had V- cut on top of the hips, and jewels embroidered in at random places, making it glow in different colors when angled in the right direction. She checked the size, and saw that it would fit her perfectly. She also noticed that there was extra fabric around the lower thighs near the ankles, making it ideal for ballroom dancing.
"Did you find anything, forehead?" Ino asked. Jenna looked at her with complete, total confusion.
"Yeah, I did." Sakura replied.
"Let's head to the fitting rooms." Jenna stated. Jenna and Ino were waiting outside one of the fitting rooms, when Sakura came out in Ino's choice, blue in the face.
"WE HAVE A WINNER!" Ino announced. All of a sudden, Sakura started gasping for air.
"?" Ino and Jenna were confused.
"I …" Sakura began, panting really hard. "I can't… breathe …"
"DAH!" Both women began to panic.
"Get her outta that!" Ino exclaimed. They tried on Jenna's choice. Unfortunately, it was one size too small.
"When is this event?" Jenna asked.
"In less than three months." Sakura said.
"That doesn't give me enough time to alter anything." Jenna stated. "I have five other orders ahead."
"Sigh," Sakura sighed. Then, she remembered the one she picked out. She looked to her right, and took it while it was on the hanger. "Let me try on this one." She said, heading back into the fitting room. She put the dress on, and to her surprise, it fit perfectly! She could even bend, sit, crouch, everything necessary.
"Come on, forehead!" Ino exclaimed. "Let's see it!" She stepped out and Jenna's jaw dropped quite a bit, but Ino wasn't a bit impressed.
"I don't know,…" She began. "honestly, black would be perfect on you."
"Seriously, Ino." Sakura began. "This is the only one that actually fits, and not have to worry about ripping it."
"Alright, we'll go with that one." Ino gave in. "Then, we gotta find you some really awesome dress shoes!" Her eyes lit up.
"Unfortunately, we don't sell shoes here." Jenna said. Ino began to shed waterfall tears, streaming down her face.
"I'm ok with this one." Sakura confirmed.
"Great!" Jenna hollered with joy. "Take it off, and I'll ring it up." She went to the register while Sakura went back into the fitting room to take off the dress. Sakura brought it up to the register.
"So, how much is it?" Sakura asked.
"It's 124,040 Ryo." Jenna stated. Sakura's and Ino's jaws dropped. That was almost everything she had, and what Tsunade gave her! But, she needed it for the mission, which was coming up, very quickly. The dress was bought and paid for. "Thank you, come again!" On their way back, while Sakura was carrying the dress in a special carrying bag with a hanger, Ino began rambling on about what her missions were entailed, and the new customers at the flower shop, it was a ear killing walk back to the village. The second she walked through her bedroom door, hung the dress up, she plopped on her bed, letting out a sigh of relieving stress. She looked up at the ceiling. She began to remember someone. And the colors of her outfit.
'She,' she began thinking. She then looked at the bagged up dress again. 'She always wore that white tube top, with that one sleeve.' She remembered her and Naruto getting into out of control arguments, and how in the end, they would laugh it off. She was so much like Naruto, it was terrifying. But then again, she also saw parts of her, Kakashi, and …
'Sasuke' She remembered that one time he placed a gentle, and impossible to believe, romantic kiss on her forehead. It threw her off, a lot. She began blushing, and automatically began to wonder what it was like. Being held by him. Accepting and returning kiss after kiss. Their hands, entangling into each other's hairs. His hands feeling every trace of her nude body- WAIT! What was she thinking?! This was Sasuke! Uchiha! He wouldn't go that far with her! Last she remembered, he turned her down so many times! Not him! She had a hard time believing that he would say the three simple yet choking words that would get her to practically beg him to take her, remove every article of clothing off of her, embrace her body with his hands, loving, lustful gaze, feeling his lips all ov-
TICK! TICK! TICK!
Sakura was brought out of her trance, to have her look out her balcony window. She let out a sigh.
"Thank Kami." Sakura said.
"CHA! WHO THE HELL IS THAT?! IT WAS GETTING SO DAMN HOT!" Inner Sakura screamed. She went on to the balcony, looked around and saw a brown hawk on the right side of her balcony.
"Hey, there." She greeted. She noticed that it was a messenger hawk. But, she didn't know whose it was. She found a piece of paper tied to its leg. She took the piece of paper, and the hawk took off. "Hey, I was gonna give you some … food." She watched the hawk fly, leaving the village. She looked back at the piece of paper. It was folded into four pieces. She opened it up, and read the contents.

One Week, Come Alone
She was stumped to say the least. It wasn't too far from the village, but who was it from? Then, she suddenly remembered back at that mission, looking for those criminals.

Sasuke saw Sakura and began walking towards her. Neither of them said a word or thought about hurting each other. As they got closer, Sasuke passed Sakura in his Akatsuki robe but slipped something into Sakura's hand. Sakura stopped and looked at Sasuke

'S-Sasuke …' her eyes were shaking from realization, and total shock. She was gonna have to come up with some way to fool Tsunade, Shizune, Naruto, and the others. She looked at her calendar. Thankfully, she had that day off and she didn't have any plans, but even if she did, she could reschedule. She had to see Sasuke. As a ten year old kid once stated:
"One can Seek Redemption"
Sakura subconsciously began trying to figure out what to wear.
'I think I have a push up bra somewhere, and my new boots might-' she began to shake her head, violently. 'Sakura Haruno! This is NOT a date!' She mentally told herself, over and over again. But, her heart was saying, "this is TOTALLY a date!"

Taka were waiting for Madara Uchiha to give them a new mission, but nothing was coming up, yet. Luckily, the inn his cousin owned wasn't far from the coordinates to the location he just sent Sakura. He didn't tell Taka, or anyone. For some reason, he had to see her. He did want to destroy the Leaf. But, remembering that kid. How she would say that her and her legal guardian would always travel, being a part of every single A ranked, S ranked mission he was given. Now, he was forever grateful that he killed Orochimaru. And to Itachi. Now that the curse mark was removed from Sasuke, he didn't have to worry about his children, if he ever had any, have to suffer seeing things that no 3 year old should see, every night in her mind. He then began thinking about what her partner had explained the day he slapped her across the face, for something, he admits now, saved all of Squad Seven's future.
"People in the village where she grew up began calling her 'Uchiha Bastard Child' plus, three Chunin from home try to gang rape her in an alley, and she didn't even lift a finger to fight back. Our sensei also taught us that everyone in the village is family. Especially our fellow Shinobi. They're brothers and sisters in arms. We protect one another"
Sasuke felt beyond guilty for hitting her like that. Anyone who tries to insult or do anything to his family, they're gonna be answering to him. No one calls an Uchiha a bastard child and gets away with it! All of a sudden, as thought popped into his head. Standing in front of a priest, in a black kimono, along with a montsuki, with a black haori, a hakama and a kuromonpuku. Along with tabi socks and zori sandals, the Uchiha Clan fan embroidered onto both the kimono and the montsuki with huge honor.
He imagined looking to his left to see Sakura in a shiromuku, with a Iro-uchikake embroidered with cherry blossom petals, scattered all over the place, with fused colors of white and pink surrounding the edges of the Iro-uchikake, an obi with scattered cherry blossom petals embroidered all over, two cherry blossom hairpins on each side of her head. She turned to see him, her jade green eyes shining brighter than ever, than they have ever had before, pink lipstick painted to delicately that-
"Sasuke!" A male voice called out. Sasuke jumped a foot into the air, completely surprised, and getting ready to attack. Suigetsu threw his hands in the air, to protect himself from what might happen. "Hey! Woah! Woah." Sasuke calmed down, and lowered his hand from his katana.
"What is it, Suigetsu?" Sasuke asked, extremely annoyed.
"We're getting ready to move." Suigetsu turned around, the sword once owned by one the 7 legendary swordsman, Zabuza, strapped onto his back. "We should be at that one inn by the end of the week."
"Hnn!" Sasuke said, letting him know that he got it. They then proceeded to head to Jugo and Karin.

A week had passed, Sakura was heading to the gate, in her usual attire. It was just some weird meeting. That's all. One no one can know about. She continued to head to where she was going, with one thing going through her mind.
'THIS IS NOT A DATE! THIS IS NOT A DATE! THIS IS NOT A DATE! THIS-'
"Hey! Sakura!" A male voice called out. She turned to see Izumo Kamizuki and Kotetsu Hagane sitting at the gate entrance supervising anyone who enters the village.
"Oh!" Sakura exclaimed. "Hey, Izumo! Kotetsu!" She greeted them.
"Where are you off to?" Kotetsu asked.
"I'm just, … uh …" Sakura tried to come up with an excuse to make them believe she wasn't heading for a rendezvous with an S ranked criminal. "I'm gonna explore the forests outside the village. A little sightseeing, I guess."
"Really?" Izumo questioned. "When did you start taking up that?"
"I .." She was blushing a very deep shade of red.
"Ah, let her go, Izumo." Kotetsu said. Everyone looked at him. "She might be able to find new herbs that the village may be low on."
"Eh … RIGHT!" Sakura stated. "You're totally right, Kotetsu. " See ya!" She waved her hand 'goodbye' and went on her way. 'Thanks, Kotetsu!' She thought. 'I owe you one.' Both men watched her depart, with mischievous grins on their faces.
"Did you see how red she went?" Izumo asked, turning to his partner in crime.
"Yep!" Kotetsu stated. "No doubt about it …" The two of them said four words in unison.
"She's on a DATE!"
"Finally, she's getting over Sasuke."
"Yeah, never thought I'd live to see the day." Kotetsu leaned forward, resting his chin on his hand. "I wonder who got to her."
"Whoever he may be, has to be approved by Lady Hokage, Kakashi, and Naruto." Izumo stated. "Plus, her parents."
"Yeah."

Sakura made it to the location from the coordinates that was given to her by what she assumed to be Sasuke's messenger hawk. There was a small clearing, not big enough to be seen by Sai on his art drawing of a bird. She sat down, up against a tree and looked at the cloudless blue sky. She was lost in her own little world. She then began to imagine herself in a shiromuku, with a Iro-uchikake embroidered with cherry blossom petals, scattered all over the place, with fused colors of white and pink surrounding the edges of the Iro-uchikake, an obi with the same cherry blossom petal embroider, and Sasuke in a black kimono, along with a montsuki, with a black haori, a hakama, a kuromonpuku, tabi socks and zori sandals, the Uchiha Clan fan embroidered onto the montsuki with huge honor. He would turn to look at her, completely mesmerized by how she looked, cupped her face with his hand, both of them leaning, slowly closing their eyes, li-
RUSTLE!
"Ahh!" She screamed, jumping three inches off the ground, looked to see a black cat, holding its paw up, indicating that it was injured. "Hey, little guy." Her voice was calm, gentle and sweet. "Come over here." She told the cat to come to her, motioning her hand to do so. "I can take a look at that for you."
"Meow!" The cat meowed, and limped toward her. The cat was now right in front of her, as she began to pet him. He purred with delight, and allowed her to take his paw, and examine it.
"You got a really bad cut on your leg."
"Meow!" The cat cried out in pain. She placed her hand over the infection, and began to use medical chakra to heal it. She failed to realize that Sasuke had just arrived as the cat stopped in front of her. He watched intently as she healed the cat's leg. Her face glowed by the green chakra, causing her eyes to be even greener.
"There." She said, stopping her chakra. She quickly dug into her pocket, pulled out some medical bandage wrap, and wrapped the cat's leg. "You should be good."
"Meow!" The cat said, and licked her hand. She knew it was his way of saying, "thank you" and he turned around and headed back to the forest. She watched it scamper away, seeing Sasuke standing right there. She immediately gasped, startled by his appearance.
"Sasuke!" She exclaimed. Sasuke walked up to her, and took a seat next to her. "Why didn't you say anything?"
"…" Sasuke couldn't figure out what to say. He couldn't tell her that he was caught off guard by her eyes glowing from that medical chakra. "You ..."
"Huh?" Sakura was confused.
"You said that … Naruto was seeing Hinata Hyuga." He began. Since when was he curious about someone else's life? "How … how's Kakashi …?" She was blown away from that question. But, she looked at the sky, wondering where to begin.
"He's ok." She began. "I guess he's still bummed out about the fact that Naruto and I were able to get the bells from him."
"?!" Sasuke whipped his head to look at her, his face written with total shock and disbelief. "HOW DID YOU-?!" He couldn't believe it! He almost had those stupid bells, but then he got pulled underground, up to his neck! She even thought he was talking head, screamed and passed out! There was no way!
"He didn't get to read the new book Naruto got him, when he came back to the village after two and a half years, and had his Sharingan out. He gave us from dusk to dawn to get them, and it wasn't easy." He listened, very intently as she recapped that retake test. "Our time was almost up, and that's when Naruto realized that Kakashi Sensei had one weakness, and we used it to our advantage!"
"What was it?!" Sasuke almost begged. He had to know, he had to know!
"Master Jiraiya was the author of the "Icha-Icha Paradise" series he loves to read so much, and since Naruto was his student and went with him for that two and a half years, we were able to make Kakashi Sensei believe that Naruto knew the ending to the book he got him, and that Naruto was gonna say it." She finished, and began laughing. Sasuke's jaw dropped. "He covered his ears, and since his Sharingan was out and working, he could read lips, causing him to clamp his eyes shut, letting us get the bells!" She couldn't stop herself from laughing. After a few laughter's, she ended her tale. "Turns out Naruto was asked to proofread it, but only got through six pages, got bored and didn't finish it." She then began to giggle. She didn't notice that he was fuming with anger, and embarrassment.
'That … fucking … SIMPLE?!' Sasuke thought. She turned her head to see Sasuke with his angry facial expression. One that she remembered, all too well.

"There." Sakura began, just finished peeling the apple in her hand, as Sasuke sat in the hospital bed, staring at his legs. "Now, to cut it up into even slices." Sasuke's anger grew until it went to an exploding point. "Here, Sasuke." She said, handing a sliced apple piece, on a toothpick to him, along with holding a plate of apple slices.
Sasuke slapped the plate out of the way, with so much force, the plate shattered on the wall, the slices all over the floor.
"Sasuke, what was that for?!" Naruto asked.
"Fight me!" Sasuke demanded his second tomoe Sharingan in full bloom.
~oOo~
Sakura looked at the ground, and realized that she pissed him off. Yet, again.
"I'm sorry, Sasuke …" She said, barely above a whisper, causing him to look at her with confusion.
"About what?" He asked. He saw that she was beginning to blame herself for something. "You didn't do anything."
"That look on your face, just now."
"?"
"It … it was the same as that day at the hospital." She stopped, afraid that he would go do something. Sasuke was confused, but then he had a flashback.

Sasuke slapped the plate out of the way, with so much force, the plate shattered on the wall, the slices all over the floor

Sasuke immediately felt his heart fall to the pit of his stomach. He was so livid at Naruto's growth that he took it out on her. When she was just trying to give him a decent snack, then what that hospital was giving him. They sat in silence for a very long time, until Sakura got to her feet. Sasuke looked up at her with confusion.
"I …" She began. "I gotta get going. No one will know … of us meeting." She began to walk away, when a hand grabbed her wrist.
"YEEP!" She screamed, as she turned around and immediately felt an arm around her waist, and a hand placed gently on the back of her head. She froze. They stood there, Sasuke Uchiha, holding Sakura Haruno, in a caring, loving embrace.
"I …" Sasuke began, after a moment of silence. "I wasn't mad at you, that day…" She gasped. "it was … everything that was going on. My brother … wanting Naruto … his power … getting ahead of mine … him saving you…" The last sentence had Sakura gasp, forcing herself to be able to look up at his face.
"What did you just say?!" She saw him look away, blushing. "Were you … were you jealous?!"
"Erm …" Sasuke was trying so hard to hide his growing red face. "No, I wasn't." He quickly said. She looked at him, and began laughing.
"Am I to understand that you wanted to be the only one who saved me?!" She couldn't believe it! Sasuke Uchiha! The number one student! Back at the Academy! Top of their class! JEALOUS! She may never let this down. All of a sudden, she felt a soft pair of lips on her forehead.
'Is …' Sakura thought. 'is this happening again?!' She gained a bright pink blush. After a stunned, realizing moment, she looked up at him, as vise versa. Both of them stared at each other's eyes heavily, blushing for an unknown amount of time. Whatever it was, whether it was gravity, or bodies moving on their own, not listening to their brains. Sasuke leaned in, as Sakura began to stand on her toes, leaning in upward. Both slowly began to close their eyes, lips millimeters from touching each other.
"HEY, SAKURA!" The two of them heard a very familiar voice, and it was enough to clench a fist, ready to pound him. "YOU OUT THERE, OR WHAT!"
"Naruto…" Sakura growled, beyond livid. The symbol of anger appearing on top of the side of her head.
'You've gotta be kidding, you idiot …' Sasuke thought, very much ticked off, as well. It was at the point where his eyebrow was twitching with annoyance. He placed his hand on her head, causing her to look at him. His face was apologetic. "Please forgive me, Sakura." She was confused, until she felt a hard thud on her head. She slipped out of consciousness.
'Sasuke' She thought, before everything went black.
~oOo~
"Sakura!" She heard a voice cry out. "SAKURA!" She slowly opened her eyes to see Naruto holding her.
"What happened?!" Naruto exclaimed, worried beyond recognition. "When I got here, you were out cold!" She looked at him in a haze, but then remembered what was about to happen right before he began hollering. Her facial expression went from hazily confused to beyond livid.
"YOU IDIOT!" She screamed, placing the perfect right hook into his face, sending him flying.
"DAHHHH!" Naruto screamed. He crashed into some trees, then flattened onto the ground, back first. "What did I do?" He asked, completely dizzy, confused, and stricken with fear.
Hey, Chapter 4! I'm sorry I had to delete this fanfic and re upload it, but for some reason it wasn't updating the chapters, so I had to re do them. Unbelievable. Anyway, sorry about all of this.
