A New Day, A New Worry
The sun had barely risen over Adventure Bay, casting a soft glow on the newly rebuilt Lookout. Ryder sat at his desk, studying the mysterious letter left behind by their unknown visitor. His fingers ran over the textured paper, his mind racing.
Who was G?
How did they get inside?
And more importantly… what did they want?
A soft knock at his door pulled him from his thoughts. "Come in," he said, setting the letter down.
Chase entered, his posture tense, his brown eyes scanning Ryder's face. "Did you get any sleep?"
Ryder sighed, rubbing his forehead. "Not really. I've been trying to figure out what this letter means."
Chase walked over, glancing at the paper. "We don't know who G is. But one thing's for sure—they wanted us to know they were here."
Ryder nodded, his jaw tightening. "They bypassed all of our security. That means they're smart… and dangerous."
Chase's tail flicked. "I don't like this, Ryder. If someone can get inside without us knowing, then the Lookout isn't as safe as we thought."
Ryder met Chase's gaze. "Which means we need to find out who G is—before they make their next move."
Gathering the Team
Ryder called a team meeting in the main room. The pups gathered quickly, sensing the seriousness in his tone.
"We need to talk about what happened last night," Ryder said, placing the letter on the table.
The pups stared at it, their ears lowering.
Skye's pink eyes narrowed. "That was here when we got back… but how? No alarms, no signs of entry."
Rocky frowned. "Whoever left it knows what they're doing. They got in and out without a trace."
Marshall shifted uncomfortably. "So… what does it mean? Are they threatening us?"
Ryder exhaled. "We don't know yet. But we do know that G has been watching us. They said we 'caught their attention.'"
Chase stepped forward. "That means we're being tested. This wasn't an attack—it was a warning."
The room fell silent.
Zuma's ears flattened. "Dude… that's kinda creepy."
Rubble frowned. "So what do we do? Just sit here and wait?"
Ryder shook his head. "No way. We need to go on the offensive. We're going to start looking into every possible lead. G wants our attention? They've got it."
An Unexpected Lead
As the pups discussed security upgrades, a notification flashed on Ryder's command screen.
"New email?" Skye asked, tilting her head.
Ryder frowned. "It's… encrypted."
Chase stepped closer. "Can you open it?"
Ryder typed quickly, bypassing the encryption. The email loaded, revealing a single line of text.
"You're asking the wrong questions. If you want answers, meet me at the docks at sunset."
The pups stared.
Rocky gulped. "Is that… from G?"
Ryder's eyes narrowed. "Looks like it."
Chase bristled. "It's a trap."
Ryder smirked slightly. "Probably."
Skye flapped her wings slightly. "So… what do we do?"
Ryder's voice was steady.
"We go. But on our terms."
The Docks at Sunset
The sky was painted in shades of orange and purple as the PAW Patrol arrived at the docks. The air was cool and salty, the sound of waves gently lapping against the wooden piers.
Ryder stood tall, his ribs aching slightly, but he ignored the pain. He scanned the empty docks, his team at his side.
"Keep your eyes open," Chase murmured, his muscles coiled like a spring.
A shadow moved in the distance.
Then—a figure stepped forward.
A tall man in a black trench coat, his face partially obscured by the shadows. His eyes locked onto Ryder, and a slow smirk curled across his lips.
"Ryder," the man said smoothly, his voice calm but unsettling. "I've been waiting to meet you."
The pups instinctively formed a protective circle around Ryder.
Ryder's expression remained firm. "Who are you?"
The man tilted his head.
"Gideon."
A chill ran down Ryder's spine.
This is him.
The man who had been watching them. The man who had broken into the Lookout.
Gideon stepped closer. "You're smarter than I expected. You came prepared."
Chase growled lowly. "Yeah? And why are we here?"
Gideon's smirk widened. "Because, Ryder… you're about to become part of something much bigger than you realize."
Ryder's fists clenched. "What do you want from us?"
Gideon's green eyes flickered. "Oh, Ryder. You're still thinking too small."
He leaned in slightly.
"It's not about what I want."
"It's about what's coming."
Silence.
The waves crashed in the distance.
The pups stayed tense, waiting for a move.
Gideon chuckled softly. "See you soon, Ryder."
And in the blink of an eye—he was gone.
The Aftermath
Ryder stood frozen, processing what had just happened.
Chase was the first to speak. "What… was that?"
Ryder exhaled slowly. "A warning."
Marshall's voice was barely a whisper. "But… a warning for what?"
Ryder didn't answer right away. He stared at the spot where Gideon had vanished.
Something was coming.
And now, they had to be ready.
