Been a minute since this got updated, sorry about that. But we are past the holidays and in a whole new year, which means TheAwesomeCoolJay needs to be better! Seriously new year, new me, I will step up in the updating process. Anyway, enjoy today's chapter because the lore is about to get crazy.

Star vs. the Forces of Evil is owned by Daron Nefcy & Disney

The Diaz residence was usually a place with positive energy, but ever since their magical neighbors had to return back to their home dimension, that energy was gone. It has been a whole day since the Butterflies left, knowing that, Jackie and Janna decided to check on Marco. The two girls knew how close of friends both Marco and Star are, they hoped he was okay. Janna knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Jackie asked Janna.

"Of course, if anything can bring a smile to Marco Diaz's face is you." The little Filipino told her while pointing at her. "You should know this by now."

"And you should know how to talk to your crush."

"Heyheyhey Jackie Lynn Thomas come here you!" Janna quickly covering her friend's mouth and bringing her close to her. "I thought I made it clear to stop bringing that up."

"I know he likes me, but have you ever told him that you like him?" The skater girl tells her as she removes Janna's hand from her mouth. "Maybe you can be that girl who puts a smile to his face."

"It's you he likes and I'm okay with that." Janna responds with, while also messing with her hair in a shy manner. "As long as he is happy, I'll be happy."

Jackie was about to argue more about the subject but was stopped when Mrs. Diaz open the door. The girls greeted Marco's mother who happily greeted them back and welcomed the children in her house. When they came the girls saw Marco's father at the kitchen table and it appeared he was frantically going through the phonebook.

"Still looking for the best people to cheer up a sad little boy honey!" Rafael tells his wife, still looking at the phonebook. "Mi hijo you will be happy again."

"Rafael, I think we found a solution, or should I say the solutions have come to us." Mrs. Diaz responds revealing the two guests behind her.

"Oh good, kids his age." He said, closing and putting away the phonebook. "Please cheer our son up."

TheAwesomeCoolJay: Yeah, have kids help don't call professionals. Seriously by cartoon standards this sometimes work for the greater good.

Heading up the stairs, Janna and Jackie saw Marco's room but door appeared to be closed. Opening it up, the girls saw the boy sitting on his bed with his hoodie up, he was just sitting there while his monster arm was busy breaking wood boards. When Eddy saw them he stopped breaking the boards and smiled, he hoped they could help him.

"Good I was starting to get a headache." Eddy said, shaking the wood chips off him. "Tried to make a chopping competition but the sad sack hasn't moved at all."

"M-Marco, can we at least talk about this?" Jackie asked but received no answer from her boyfriend. "Please?"

"Dude don't be so hard on yourself, she only left to protect you." Janna explained to him.

"Wasn't Eddy enough." The young Diaz finally spoke. "Wasn't all that training I did with Hekapoo enough?"

Marco got off his bed and stared at picture of him and Star together at the beach. After all the adventures they had and all the trials they faced, Marco assumed their bond between them was strong and it would help them get through any type of trouble. Apparently, it wasn't strong enough.

"Maybe I wasn't a good enough friend for her."

Marco covered his face to hide his tears, but Jackie and Janna saw this and comforted him by hugging him. Eddy wrapped around his friend as well, this was a sad scene and proved to be even sadder because Star was watching the whole thing.

Mewni

Star and her parents were home, but currently they reside in the forest because Moon has sent soldiers to scout out Toffee's whereabouts. As they waited to hear back from them, Moon used the wand's magic to make it possible for Star to see Marco.

"No, you were the bestest friend a princess could have!" A very sad Star said to her wand.

"Star you need to stop watching that now." Her father told her, very concerned about his daughter's feelings.

"But he needs to know he didn't do anything wrong; he was my best friend!"

"I SAID THAT'S ENOUGH!"

River grabbed the wand and hugged his child, who frantically tried to break away and get back to the wand. Star stopped for a moment to catch her breath and realized her father was right, watching something like this wasn't going to make her feel better.

"Why did this have to happen?"

"Because I didn't finish the job when I was younger." Moon answering Star. "Let me tell you the history of Toffee and me."

Many years ago, in Mewni

Princess Moon has officially made history, at the age of fourteen, Moon now is the youngest Queen in Mewman history. Such a feat seemed impossible, but it became possible when a monster general killed her mother. Now the new queen stood in the castle in a room that consisted of the MHC and the people she trusted most.

"We need to attack now!" Mina tells everybody.

"Moon needs time Mina!" River responds to Mina's rash actions.

"He's right." Omni agreeing with River. "Even though they took one of ours, the monsters don't seem to be attacking us."

"It is strange, they have the upper hand, but they chose to just walk away." Hekapoo trying figure the monster's motive.

"It's just some weird monster trick, don't be fooled people!" Rhombulus trying to get them all to focus on the main subject.

As they argued on what to do, Queen Moon stood there in her own little world. Moon didn't pay attention to anything being said, all she felt was sadness and anger, and on her mind the monster who killed her mother. She wanted revenge, but the monster was a Septarian, which means he would just regenerate from anything she would blast him with. So, in order for her to do anything Moon had to go dark.

"Rhombulus!" Moon spoke, getting his and everybody's attention. "Take me to Eclipsa."

Present Day

"After I made a deal with another evil, I dealt with Toffee personally." The Queen beginning to end her story. "It was a success, but somehow he survived and promised to enact revenge by going after my own child."

"Talk about holding a grudge." Star responded.

"I wasn't taking any chances, so the moment I had you I decided to move our family somewhere safe."

"What about our home, how could we leave unguarded?" The princess curiously asked.

"I would never do such a thing." She replied, a little taken back by such a comment. "I left a force field up to make sure-"

"It's down!" A voice interrupting Moon.

The royal family turned to see one of the soldiers the Queen sent to scout for Toffee had returned. Unfortunately, he was badly injured, and it appeared he came back crawling.

"The force field is down my queen!"

"H-How powerful is he?"

"That's not the worst part your highness, I think I saw him with the Book of Spells."

As he passed out, both the Queen and King turned to their daughter to see a very disappointed face on her.

And that's the end hope you all liked it. So that explains why the Butterflies came to Earth, but ever wonder about Toffee's motives? Oh if you're wondering about the rest of the backstory being left out... that was intentional for next chapter.

With the Book of Spells, Toffee finally gets to have a serious talk with Glossaryck. Meanwhile on Earth, Marco decides to go to Mewni to help Star, but he is joined by a friend on this adventure. What is going to happen next?

Stay tuned guys, next part is going to be juicy. R.F.F. (Review Favorite Follow) PEACE!
