Welcome back to Raven Academia.
However, this is a Prequel arc before we jump in and start season 2. Starring Shota Aizawa how he became a DEO agent, and how he learned about aliens. This arc would also focus on Starfire and how she came to Earth and earned her human identity as Kori Anders. We are also going to see Miss Martian and how she became 1B's homeroom teacher instead of Vlad King.
The story takes place a year before the chapter "Junior High Sucks." So before Rachel and her friends start 9th grade.
Let's Start.
Raven Academia
Prequal: Eraserhead and Starfire, part 1.
Prequal Pilot
Shota Aizawa's POV.
Today is the last day of the third semester, and it will be the start of a new school year in April, among the twenty students that would continue their Hero journey at UA High, there were only a small handful of twelve students left.
Among those twelve students that I had the honor of working with was the problem child, Togota. He started very rough and very close to being expelled by my own hands, but he had improved a lot, and thanks to the donations of STAR Labs the boy was able to find a new material of fabric for his Hero costume. That wouldn't phase off from his body and ending up wearing his birthday suit in public.
If he continues striving, he could graduate along with his peers, Amajiki and Hado. For now, I am done doing this pesky paperwork.
This year was quite a tornado with all the students training and some that I had to expel or transfer to general studies, and I'm very thankful for STAR Labs for increasing security and fonding to the Support course.
However, I wouldn't call this year quiet, ever since the school started its journalist club, and the pesky first year, Vicki Vale, wanted an exclusive interview about the Hero Course with me or Vlad King for her radio show, The Livewire.
I can say that Ms. Vale isn't a quitter, she had an interview with Vlad King about the latest chapter in his life, He got a job offer to teach at Shiketsu.
Speaking of, my co-workers are expecting me to head to the teacher's lounge they're having a Farewell party for our Vlad King. I should attend to give out my respect to Kan, he has been teaching at UA for longer than me, for the last 8 years.
My girlfriend and her son even picked up a gift for me to give to Vlad. I just hope he doesn't mind a gift card at the Two Whales Diner.
On the way to the teacher's lounge, I carried my paperwork with me, I didn't plan to stay at the party long, I still had paperwork to submit, have dinner with my family, and go on patrol too. I know that Yamada and Kayama would say that I'm acting more like our friend Iida because my daily day and night routine is the same every day.
Well, what could I say, my relationship with my girlfriend has been very serious, especially since her son and I connected, like father and son.
There are also my Hero patrols, where every single patrol is about stopping a heist, or mobster meetings. Sure, I'm still young, but going to a club and partying isn't for me. Family life and being Eraserhead is for me.
As I walk closer to the lounge I see the students of 1B, heading in the other direction. I guess they had enough of the party and said their goodbyes, which means I had missed a lot of the party and perhaps Kan's farewell speech.
I brace myself knowing my colleagues would stay stuff about missing out on a good time and goodbyes.
They have the right to say shit about me.
As soon as I opened the door, there was loud cheering from my colleagues, all of them were wearing party hats, the floor was dirty due to confetti, half of the sheet cake was already eaten, and each of my co-workers had a bottle of root beer.
"Hey, look who is fashionably late."
My eyes twitch as I face the man of the hour. "Kan, sorry for being late. I have finished the paperwork." I said waving the papers I had. "Anywho, my girlfriend and I got you a gift."
I handed him the gift as he started opening the gift wrapper. "uh, a 30-dollar gift card at the Two Whale Diner. Thanks, Aizawa for the gift card." He said putting the gift card in his wallet. "I too have a gift for you."
"A gift for me?" I was about to ask Kan what he meant, but I felt Yamada's arm wrap around my shoulder.
"Hell yeah he does, It's my idea." Present Mic said with a cheeky smile on his face.
I sigh if the idea came from Yamada, I felt it would be obnoxious. However, I worried that Kan took Yamada's advice, and I'm now regretting not coming to the party when it started. I gulped as Kan went to the center of the room and the rest of my co-workers lined up in a semi-circle. Kan raises his root beer bottle to the sky.
"My dear friends, I have been blessed to work with you all, and it saddens me that this is the end of my journey here at UA." he paused. "Though I may have worked longer than most of you, and some who had been here longer than me. I cherish all the positive and negative memories that were made here in the walls of our beloved school. I want to say thank you to the Former Principal Ichijo, Recovery Girl, Lunch Rush, and Maijima for welcoming me when I started all those years ago. I want to personally thank Midnight. When she was the former homeroom teacher for Class 1A we used to have heated rivalry pinning our students against each other for the spirit of competition, our annual battle trials against one another.-
–" Don't forget the Jimmy Jab games! Woo!" Midnight cheered. "Long live the Jimmy Jab!"
"Yes, Long live the Jimmy Jab Games!" Kan pointed a smile at Midnight as she chugged down her root beer. "To Ishiyama, I want to thank you for being my mentor during my first year of teaching. I will never forget your wisdom in teaching, You son of a bitch!" Ishiyama just chuckles. "Jokes aside everyone. I will miss working with you all, especially you." He pointed at me. "Shota, I'm going to miss our friendly competitions with pinning our students against each other over the years since you became a teacher. Though I may not be a gloating man, Yamada advised me that this is my last day at UA, so perhaps I should."
I wasn't sure what Kan meant about wanting to gloat and by looking around to my other co-workers, it seems they're part of this plan. I sigh, I guess this is somewhat my punishment for being late for Kan's party, I just have to be a man and take it.
Yamada rolled in a trolley that had the smart TV attached to it, and as soon as he turned it on Kan connected his phone to the TV by Airplay. "Let's just say I have a slideshow to show everyone. Ever since the Jimmy Jabs games had started way back when Kayama was the homeroom teacher, it has been a yearly tradition including giving the loser class a punishment. For the last 4 years, Aizawa and Class-A had lost to Me and Class-B. So my special gift to you Aizawa is to watch every single punishment you took and share it with the rest of our co-workers and friends. Prepare your eyes, everyone, because it's going to be wild."
I look away in shame, I recall every single punishment that Kan had me to do during each Jimmy Jab game, and because I'm the teacher. I had no choice but to embarrass myself to my students and the entire school.
I just hope my girlfriends and her son don't see the upcoming photos.
Kan presented the first photos, it was the first loss of Class-A since I became their home teacher. The Punishment was I had to wear this ridiculous old lady costume for a whole month.
"The first photo was Aizawa wearing his version of Mrs. Doubtfire." the rest of my co-workers laugh at the photo. "As you see Aizawa is wearing a blue cardigan and a red checkered skirt, but what's important is what he was wearing underneath." He pointed at me. "As we know, looking at Aizawa right now he looks like a scrawny unattractive scarecrow man."
"Kan, watch it," I said warning him to use his words carefully, I felt offended by how he described my body.
"Sorry buddy." He said."I continue, underneath those clothes isn't a scrawny unattractive scarecrow man!" He removed my shirt. "He has muscles! He had to wear fake boobs and ass to make himself into Mrs. Doubtzawa." Kan showed more photos of me as Mrs. Doubtzawa, as I took my shirt back from him.
"Did I have to take my shirt off just to show that I have abs?" I said frustratedly.
Kan continued his slide show, the year after Doubtzawa ended. "The next year when Class-A lost the Jimmy Jabs games, Aizawa had to wear a sexy version of the cowardly lion. He had to wear that costume for an entire week."
My co-workers laughed remembering that week that I had to be the Cowardly Lion. I face palmed recalling that during that week I met my Girlfriend's parents for the first time. I looked like a pervert wearing that sexy costume. "Why me," I mutter under my breath.
Kan showed a video that he took when Class A once again lost the Jimmy Jab Games. "This next clip is not just a photo but a music video cover, to pay tribute to Fiona Apple's criminal." The laughter got louder, even Recovery Girl laughed. She even fell off her seat and kept laughing at the music video that Vlad made me do.
Then again it's mostly lip-syncing.
I've been a bad, bad girl
I've been careless with a delicate man
And it's a sad, sad world
When Aizawa will break a boy just because she can— Kan, I had enough.
My co-workers laughed harder and some ended up laughing while on the ground. "Alright, I should wrap up my farewell speech, but I do have one more video of Aizawa, and it is his most recent addition to the gallery of shame."
I turned pale white, recalling what I did for this year's loss to the Jimmy Jab games, and who I had to do the punishment with. "Oh no, Kan you can't!" I begged him, but he didn't listen and he played the video.
This year's punishment for the Jimmy Jab was the loser, which is myself recreating the dance music video of Beyonce's Single Ladies dance, with two of my best students as my background dancers, Togota and Amajiki.
We also had to wear the matching outfit from the dance video.
Hearing the non-stop laughter of my co-workers I decided to leave the teacher's lounge and drop off my papers at Nezu's office. It was interesting he wasn't at the party, he probably said his goodbyes to Kan earlier today. I just need to submit the paperwork and come home to my girlfriend before I do my patrol tonight.
As I get closer to Nezu's office I notice that Nezu came out from his office and with him was an African American woman with purple-dyed hair tied in a cornrow braid.
I had never seen this woman before, and why is she acting so casual with Nezu?
Like who is this woman?
I better just introduce myself. "I hope I'm not interrupting I was here to submit my paperwork sir, but who is your friend?"
Nezu chuckled. "It is not an interruption Aizawa, my friend and I were just catching up," Nezu said. "But where are my manners? This is the best time to introduce Class B's newest Homeroom Teacher to you." He gestures his paw to her. "Shota Aizawa this is my old friend's niece, She and her uncle helped me and my mother when we arrived in Japan, all the way from America this is Megan Morse."
The young lady in front of me was awkward, switching greeting gestures from a handshake to bowing down. She ends up doing courtesy while pretending to have a skirt. "I'm sorry, I'm new to Japan and greetings differ from America. I know the language, but not everything from the book…"
I gave her an awkward smile. 'She reminds me of Rachel Iida, she was too courteous, and was awkward when meeting someone new from a different country.'
"Hello, Megan."
'Did she just use the catchphrase from the sitcom, with the same cooky gesture that the main character does at the sitcom?' I thought.
"Can we start over Shota— I mean, Aizawa— wait is it Shota Aizawa, or Aizawa Shota, I'm not sure which is the family name, or the first name?"
'Umm, she does remind me of Rachel Iida, and the rest of the Iida siblings. They love Hello Megan the sitcom. I should help her out.' I thought.
"Sure, in Japan because we are not personally close like relatives. You may call me Aizawa." I said to her. "It is nice to meet you, Morse, Welcome to Japan and UA High."
Nezu chuckles. "Why not I give you two some time to get to know each other, while I give Kan my best wishes." He pats the back of my leg. "Be kind to Megan, she is a good egg," Nezu said as he left for the teacher's lounge.
"Let's walk and talk, shall we?" I asked her.
"We shall." She nodded as we headed to the exit.
I went to ask my first question about her. "So according to Nezu, you are Vlad King's replacement for the upcoming school year this April. So, it is safe to assume that you're a Pro Hero too?"
She nodded. "You are correct, I am a Pro Hero too, back in America was known as Miss M."
Umm, I never heard of her. Nezu mentioned that he is old friends with her uncle. "May I ask, who is your Uncle, is he a Pro Hero too?"
"Umm, let's say my Uncle John is a Pro Hero, but lately his work is more on the office rather than on the field," Megan said. "He does have his own Hero Agency back in Metropolis."
"Uh, the home of the best apple pie, by any chance you brought some?" I joked.
She chuckled. "No, I wish I did bring some, but when I do come back to visit I'll let Bibbo know that you're a fan of his famous apple pie." She said. "But it may take at least a year or two before I return to America. I am here to work not just as a Teacher, but as a Pro Hero too."
"I see, what Hero Agency do you plan to work for?" I ask curious about what agency she works at.
We reach the exit, and this might be the last time that we'll see each other before April. "To answer, your question Aizawa. I'm extending my Uncle's Hero Agency here in Japan. We extended the Manhunter Agency back in America, states like Nevada, Happy Harbor Rhode Island, and DC."
"Washington?"
"Um, sure." there was an odd pause when she mentioned DC.
Megan touched my shoulder. "I'm looking forward to working with you, Aizawa. I might bring an Apple Pie for everyone. Though It wouldn't be as great as Bibbo's apple pie. I'm not as great of a cook as him."
We wave each other goodbye. Nezu was right Morse is a good egg and I am looking forward to working with her. Now I have to deal with a new problem what to serve for dinner. It was my turn to cook and I didn't have time to brainstorm what to serve for Joyce and her son. Perhaps take-out would be a good option for now, but from what restaurant, we had fish last night, and we had burgers last week. They both like Filipino food, but Kalaw's are rebuilding their restaurant. Oh, where can I find a place that serves Tapsilog?
"Hey Aizawa, if you're looking for a Filipino restaurant that serves a good serving of Tapsilog, I suggest going to Diawatan Family Diner, they serve the best Tapsilog, it's just three blocks south at Earl Street, you won't miss it," Megan said.
"Thanks, Morse." I thanked her.
Diawatan Family Diner uh, sounds like a great place to get Tapsilog.
Uh, Morse was a lifesaver, it almost felt like she read my mind.
At Space.
Somewhere in the Milky Way, A spaceship roams the deep.
The velvet-colored spaceship itself was bean-shaped with two wings, and inside the spaceship was a single passenger, she was female with long and wavy rose-colored hair and had orange skin, and emerald-colored eyes.
The alien is heading to her destination. "This is the Space-Craft Velvet-Arjent codename, The Starfire. This is the pilot speaking, Princess Koriand'r, I repeat this is Princess Koriand'r, can you hear me Tamaran S.S, I repeat can you hear me, Tamaran S.S?" she talked to radio communications hoping that someone heard her message. However, no one responds. "X-hal." She mutters under her breath. "I repeat this is Space-craft Velvet-Arjent Codename, The Starfire. This is Princess Koriand'r asking if S.S can hear me?"
The princess sighs as she hears static from the other end of the comlinks. "Apologies, My Princess, this is Gal'r of Tamaran S.S., I hear you loud and clear. What's your report princess?"
The Princess smiles. "Gal'r please send a report to the King and Queen that I had just passed the planets Jupiter and M'arzz, according to the intel from War World, Mongol himself. That the Tamarian Traitor stole a spacecraft from him, and the coordinates of his stolen spacecraft. The last update was the ship landed on this mud ball planet, called Gaia." She said. "However, to my ship is gaining access to this planet's satellites. The locals call their planet, Earth."
"That is great news, Princess, I found it amazing that Mongol didn't hire Lobo to deal with the Traitor," Gal'r said on the radio.
The Princess rolled her eyes. "It wasn't easy, Mongol wasn't happy that a Tamanrian stole one of his ships, I had to pay him eighty thousand units to make sure he didn't hire the Czarnian mercenary." She said, "Unbelievable, The traitor is disgracing herself everywhere she goes, if she continues her outrage. The Green Lantern Corp would be after her too."
The alarm in the ship alerted the ship as the princess checked the monitors and on her screen, a single spacecraft was firing her ship.
"Zornuts! Gal'r my space-craft is under attack!"
"By who my Princess?!"
The camera zoomed in to show who her attacker was, she paled to see where the spacecraft belonged too.
"No, that cannot be. The SpaceCraft belongs to the Citadel," The Princess said. "I thought the Citadel empire got Demolish, Green Lantern Abin Sur, and other members of the Green Lantern Corp had brought them to the intergalactic Court at the Tribune, for their war crimes on Tamaran."
The princess noticed that radio communications were breaking, fearing that the enemy ship destroyed ship communications.
"Zornuts! Gal'r! Gal'r!... Damn it! I'm on my own." The princess went to flicker on some buttons on the ship, however, they didn't work. "Damn, the weapons aren't working."
The Princess has no chance but to flee and prays to her Goddess that she'll survive this encounter.
Aizawa's POV
A little while ago, I started dinner with my small family. I decided to take Morse's recommendation to try out this new Filipino restaurant and they didn't disappoint, they had Chicken Adobo with boiled eggs which is the family favorite. Now small chuckles surround the dining room table at my condo. I'm currently listening to my girlfriend Joyce talk about her work today, which is nice before I start my night patrol.
"So during my waitress duties at the Diner today. I was holding a tray of burgers for this table, and before I reached my customers, there were these two loudmouth college boys who wanted to rumble with each other. I went to confront them and say to them. 'Oi! You two boys take it outside, or I will Chun-Li your asses! So sit back down and finish your damn bacon!' and I snap my fingers." Joyce said, and I laughed at her story. "After that, the whole diner cheered for me for telling those boys off. There were even two policewomen who cheered and gave me high fives."
Even Hitoshi chuckled. "Mom, did that happen today at work?" he asked her.
She nodded. "Yup, I even receive tips from everyone, and the two officers even asked me for a selfie with them." She pulled out her phone. "They even airdrop the photo to me." Joyce showed her selfie, showing that she did take a selfie with the two police officers, and she even took a selfie with the two college boys, I guess they apologized for their behavior and took a selfie with Joyce.
Hitoshi and I chuckled. We were surprised that it did happen."That is amazing, Mom, you were Awesome." Hitoshi praises his mom, which makes Joyce very happy.
"Thank you, Hitoshi," Joyce said. "Today was so much fun, but how was the last day of school Hitoshi?"
I smiled at Hitoshi. "Yeah, how was your last day of 8th grade?"
Hitoshi played with his food, I sensed he is nervous. "Nothing much, the graduation ceremony for the 9th graders wasn't much special. Rachel Iida and I just came come and watched, That's so Raven." Hitoshi said. "Then she left before you came home… Shota."
Joyce hummed in agreement. "Oh yeah, Rachel was here, She just left just before you came home Shota. She is such a sweet girl."
The mention of Rachel brought some nostalgia during a time when I was still a student back at UA. I haven't seen Tenya Iida or Rachel for years. I still hang out with Tensei and he does mention them during our meet-ups as either Shota or Eraserhead.
Also, Joyce and Hitoshi had no clue that I already met Rachel and Tenya. Joyce and I have been keeping our relationship a secret, due to my job as a Pro Hero. I never mentioned that I knew the Iida siblings back in high school, because It was never mentioned before, and I'm not much of a bragger myself, it isn't like I'm Yamada
Though I did catch that small pause from Hitoshi before he said my name, it sounded like he was about to call me, the big D word, Dad.
I mean, it wouldn't be weird, I have been dating Joyce for years now, since graduation, and since then I also watched Hitoshi grow. He isn't the 7-year-old little boy that I met all those years ago. Plus what I feel for Joyce and Hitoshi is very strong and serious. I wouldn't mind if he starts calling me, Dad.
I looked up at the clock and noticed that I should get going now, I should let them know. "That's interesting Hitoshi, it sounds like you're friend like sitcoms."
He nodded. "Yup, she does…" he said while avoiding eye contact with me. "I—"
"I, what Hitoshi?"
"I—" Hitoshi looked around the room like he was trying to find an excuse. "I gotta go—- Yeah, that's what I mean. I have plans with Rachel and Tenya to see a movie and get some ice cream." he nervously said.
"That's right, Rachel invited you to see that new ninja film, Romeo and Juliet, but as ninjas." Joyce said.
I have to admit, I would like to join Hitoshi and his friends to watch the movie. It does sound like a very interesting plot, but I can't, I have a patrol to do. "I wish, I could come with you, Hitoshi, and meet your friends, but I have a patrol to do."
It saddened me when I saw Hitoshi's disappointed face. I believe he mentioned his movie night with his friends was his invitation to invite me. Joyce evened hummed in disappointment, she did mention the movie directed to me.
I hate that I disappoint them, I loved them so much but I do have a duty to do. "I'm sorry Hitoshi, I promise that I'll make it up for you."
I sensed that Hitoshi wasn't happy, he even sighed heavily in disappointment, he even rolled his eyes at me and left. "Sure Whatever, Shota." Just like that, I spoiled the dinner.
Joyce stood up and grabbed my scarf. "Well, I'm very disappointed in you, Shota. You probably guessed that mentioning the movie was his way of inviting you to bond and be part of his world by meeting his friends." Joyce said and I nodded along as Joyce wrapped the scarf around my neck. I too was disappointed for not joining Hitoshi. She sighs. "Shota, I know you care for Hitoshi, but I'm not making you choose duty over… well, your own family."
I blushed hard when Joyce mentioned the big F word, I do love them so much, Joyce and Hitoshi helped me from the darkness that is my grief when Shirakumo died. I do want them to be in my life in the years to come.
"Joyce, you know I love you and Hitoshi so much, but Eraserhead is needed out there too. I promise I'll make it up for Hitoshi, and I will meet his friends."
She sighs. "I do understand that Eraserhead is needed outside these closed walls, but just know that Hitoshi won't be a kid forever, and he needs his dad now. Don't wait for the last moment, or you'll lose him forever."
Joy is right, Hitoshi isn't going to be a kid forever. He is reaching the age when a boy would rather hang out with his friends, or go out on dates. Soon he'll be eighteen, decided to move out, and find himself a handsome fellow to marry, then he'll never want to hang out with me and catch a movie about the stories of Shakespeare and turn them into the ninja genre.
I lean in and have my forehead touch Joyce's forehead. She smiled as our eyes stared at each other. "Right, Joyce. Hitoshi is growing up, and I want to be part of his life in this crazy journey of his life. I promise I'll spend more time with Hitoshi and Eraserhead."
She rubbed our noses together as we blushed. "I know you can do it, and be in Hitoshi's life." I felt her soft lips touching mine as he embraced me in a loving kiss. "Now, go out there and save lives, Eraserhead."
I gave Joyce one more kiss on her lips, as I left the condo by leaping off the window.
The night is fresh for Eraserhead and what dangers await me.
Megan's Pov.
During a nice young evening like tonight, with my cat on my lap in my very comfortable condo. I rest while drinking a nice warm Jasmine tea and watching my favorite sitcom on DVD.
It felt like nothing could ruin my relaxing first night in Japan after moving from America. True, I still have duties to do as a Pro Hero before I hit the bed, but for now, I just want to rest and enjoy this quiet time.
*Ring* *Ring*
I sighed heavily that my quiet night had ended as I got a video call from my Uncle. I went to grab my tablet computer and answer the upcoming call. "Hello Uncle, how are you?"
My Uncle's picture appeared on the video and it appeared he was in my office. However, the office he was in wasn't the one located in Metropolis but rather the new location by Shibuya. Which means one thing. "Uncle, by any chance that you're in Japan?" I asked him. "I recognize the office that you're in." I saw the motivation poster that I bought for my office behind him, and the Funko Pop of Raven Symone on top of the filing cabinet. I was certain about where is he at this moment.
"Yes, Megan, I am at your office." my Uncle said. "Sorry my dear I'm just using your office temporarily. The new location of the agency is new and it needed temporary supervision, who better yet done by me."
I didn't mind my uncle doing some temporary supervision, but I feel irresponsible for not being able to help out in the office at this very moment. The main reason why we moved the agency was not just to help out the people of Japan against unseen threats, but it was also the promotion that my Uncle gave me, making me the second in command while I was in the field as Miss M, and my partner is busy during important office work. "Uncle, I wouldn't mind flying by and helping out, It wouldn't be a problem," I said, wanting to help out and set up the agency.
My Uncle gave me a gentle smile. "Megan, It's fine Alex Danvers is here to help me out, if anything Miss M is needed in the field."
I smiled to learn that my partner, Alex is helping out and setting up the agency, but I am still upset that I'm not able to help.
Before we could continue our chat the screen of my phone had a notification alert, and on the video, the lights in the office were flashing green light which isn't a good thing because it meant one thing.
"Megan, there is a report that two UFOs just reached Earth's Mesosphere." My Uncle sends a live video to my screen to show me the UFO's status, and by looking at the current status of the two UFOs, it isn't stopping at the Mesosphere and it heads closer to Earth and it isn't getting any slower. "Megan, this isn't good two UFOs' are heading to Earth." he pauses as he reads the current status of where the UFOs are heading. "This is not good. They're heading to Japan." He turned to me with a serious expression. "Megan, I'm sending another field to investigate, and I'm assigning you too. This is a strict search and rescue mission. If there are any life forms in those UFOs it will be important that our agency would be the one to rescue them before any Hero Agencies would."
I understood the importance of getting to the UFOs first. The Pro Heroes wouldn't understand what to do once they do make contact with the life forms that might be in those space crafts.
I end the video chat with my uncle and I jump up off my couch and shift into my Hero costume, including shifting my dark olive-colored skin into my original eggshell white colored skin, but I'm keeping my braids.
I flew out my Window not as Megan Morse, but as Miss M. to help and rescue those two Space-Crafts.
Koriand'r Pov
At Earth's Mesosphere.
My space-craft is under attack by the Citadel ship.
I have no clue who the pilot is, or why they're firing. The pilot commanding the space-craft could be a mercenary hired by the Citadel.
'Which is now a fallen empire, like good luck getting bounty reward money, jackass.'
However, that's not the point, this ship is after me, and the fact they shot first without reason meant they were here to kill me, and my space-craft's weapon systems are busted.
What makes it worse is the only strategy I can do is to flee, but I cannot leave this planet this could be my only chance to fulfill my mission.
I had to fight back, even if it meant I must be the one to fire, not my space-craft.
For the last six years of my life, I was a slave for the Citadel. Forced to do their bidding and harsh labor work, to try to break my willpower because I was their heir to the throne of my beloved planet. I won't let history replay itself because I am stronger than before.
My eyes glowed emerald as I set my ship to autopilot for it to land somewhere far but not out of my reach, as I got ready to fight. I press the eject button sending me flying away from my ship, and my long hair rose colored hair ignites in flames as a warning to the enemy ship in the hopes that it shall stop. I wish not to harm the enemy ship unless I have to. However, the ship didn't stop its assault I flew away getting closer to this planet's atmosphere.
I see this land's unique architecture, it was so different and brighter than the ones in Tamaran my own words couldn't describe their unique beauty compared to Tamaran. Which made me think, that this planet has living beings and intelligence. Surely they have a society that has law and order. Maybe this planet's official authorities could handle the pilot controlling the enemy ship once the ship made contact with the residents of this mud ball planet, which benefit me in my mission.
I turn my attention to the ship. "I wish you no harm." I channel my righteous fury and concentrate my rage on a single hand as it glows emerald as the stored-up radiation turns into a magnificent bullet, as I get ready to shoot out this single energy bolt against the ship. "But, you leave me with no choice!" I fired out my energy bolt directly to the wing of their ship creating an imbalance and ensuring it would crash land in the harbor nearby. I watched the ship crash land safely at a nearby beach, surrounded by garbage. I just hope that this planet's police force works exactly like the Green Lantern Corp because I don't have time to worry about the safety of the pilot, I have a mission to do.
Aizawa Pov
A little a while ago.
I sighed as I stopped my car and parked it near the public parking lot, as I got out of my vehicle frustrated.
There wasn't any crime to stop tonight, nor did a cat need to be saved from a tree, nor did an old lady need to get across the street. I just looked up to the stars and hope that my wish would come true in the hopes the universe would rewind time. To spend time with Hitoshi and meet with his friends, because Joyce is right. Tonight could have been different instead of being out here as Eraserhead, I could have been with Hitoshi as Shota Aizawa.
Hell, I could have been more to Hitoshi, Probably be the big D-word that I've been wanting for him to call me, but instead, I was a whole different D-word tonight.
Instead of being a dad for him, I was a dickheaded hero tonight.
When I was with Joyce and Hitoshi, I wasn't Eraserhead or the Classroom A homeroom teacher. I was in my most valuable version of myself, I was just me. They know my good traits and the negative ones too, no one knows who I am behind closed doors besides them.
When Oboro Shirakumo died, I walked the path of bitterness and sorrow. I distanced myself from my friends and I didn't take therapy seriously, it was during my last year at UA High that I was truly on the edge of a cliff.
I wasn't even standing on it but rather hanging on to the cliff.
At the time I didn't have the strength to move on and continue to live the dream and be Eraserhead once again. I was thinking of letting go of the cliff and returning to general studies. I didn't feel like I was worth being called a Hero, because I couldn't save a friend.
It was until I entered a goofy-looking Diner, called Two Whales, and that is when I spotted Joyce.
She was a high school dropout, and at the time I didn't know that she was also a teen mom, but what we had wasn't love at first sight, but rather she healed me with food.
Joyce too had a dark cloud hovering over her head, because her boyfriend and Hitoshi's birth father died, in a car crash by a truck.
Also just like how I lost Shirakumo, she too watched it happen helplessly.
Even with that grief that will never go away, raising a body as a teenager, and losing her co-parent from a car accident was heavy for Joyce. However, she didn't give up and kept living despite all the grief she was feeling.
That was also why I fell in love with Joyce, she was able to find light from the darkness that is her grief.
I do not doubt in my mind that Joyce Shinso is stronger than me when it comes to our willpower, and she has so much to give.
Yet, I disappoint her tonight.
Perhaps it isn't too late to spend more time with my family, and perhaps Joyce and I are ready for an upgrade to our relationship.
I can always give apology gifts tomorrow and I can show Joyce that I am her man.
I blushed at the plan to make love with Joyce.
However, Before I had the chance to end my stargazing and go back home to my girlfriend. I notice something strange happening in the sky.
It was hard to tell because of how far it looked, but I couldn't be mistaken what I was seeing, it looked like one of the stars was getting bigger.
My eyes widened to realize it wasn't getting bigger it was getting closer and it was on fire, by appearance, it was hard to tell due to distance, but the burning aircraft was heading to the dumpy Takoba Municipal Beach.
I have to get near there unless there is anyone who needs saving, I need to dial emergency contact and let them know what happened.
Now.
I jumped off my vehicle as I reached my destination, and by looking at the scorch marks on the sandy grounds I could tell that something big went crashing down from the sky.
I went to investigate to see that the sand turned to glass, perhaps from the heat, and the crashed item had been pushed out of the garbage aside. The unknown object from the sky kept going and brushed off the garbage in front of it.
'So, the object that fell from the sky was headed west. I should get there in case anyone is hurt.' I went closer to the crash site and there was a lot of smoke coming from the unknown object that fell from the sky.
As I get closer to the crash site, I cover my mouth and nose by using the hem of my shirt to block off the smoke so thick it was almost like a black mist. But at last, I finally saw a blinking red light. I believe that there is a survivor from this crash site, and this mysterious object could be an aircraft. Perhaps from Ferris Aircrafts and they're probably testing their fighter jets, and one malfunction. Hence probably what caused the crash landing in the first place.
I finally reached the crash object and I was caught in surprise to see what I was seeing because from a far I described, it was a falling star. After all, it was indescribable. Now that I'm closer I can say that this was an aircraft.
Perhaps a fighter jet from Ferris Aircraft is based on this jet's shape but in green.
"IS ANYONE HERE!" I shouted out hoping anyone could hear me. There must be a pilot controlling this fighter jet. "I REPEAT, IS ANYONE HERE, I'M A PRO HERO, I'M HERE TO HELP!"
Before I could shout once more, I heard a voice.
"I'M OVER HERE!"
The voice was nearby and it was a male voice with a deeper tone. "I'm coming!" I rushed to the injured pilot right to their driver seat and their door was broken.
Due to the smoke, I could only figure out his silhouette, and I could tell they were muscular and big as much as Endeavor, or All Might.
"Everything is going to be fine, I got you!" I reached out an arm towards him so I could get him out of his seat, and so I could lift him from his shoulders. "Alright, I got you!"
"Alright, let's get out of here!" he said as he leaned closer to my shoulder. The way that he was leaning closer meant he was injured and hurt.
"Is there anybody else in this aircraft?" I asked him as we got closer to a clearer spot to have him lie down and rest.
He coughs. "No, it's just me, this spot is good for me to rest."
I slowly put him down for him to rest and for me to catch my breath. I do home the ambulance does come soon. I inhaled so much smoke, that isn't good for both of our lungs. Tonight was insane I just witnessed a fighter jet crashing down at the beach. I am glad that I saved this man's life.
Speaking of, I haven't had a good look at him nor introduced myself. "My name is Eraserhead, and who would you… be?" I pause a bit to finally see what he looks like. The man was muscular with silver skin and in a silver and black jumpsuit, including silver gloves and boots. There was also a black diamond insignia on his chest with a red circle in the center. He also has a broken right arm by the looks of his… blood.
Wait, is he bleeding, silver?
What the hell is he, who bleeds silver?
"Thanks a million for the rescue, and let me introduce myself. My name is Val-Yor."
Now that's a wrap.
I have been wanting to return to Raven Academia, but it took a while to make a plan for this prequel arc, and honestly, it was fun. I got a chance to bring out a different side of Aizawa, outside the Homeroom teacher and Eraserhead. It was nice to write a version of Aizawa to be vulnerable and to be happy within his personal life behind closed doors.
I also realized when I wrote the romance between Aizawa and Joyce it was based on Lois and Clark, as you can see Aizawa has his arc between a father and a Pro Hero.
I'm looking forwards to writing the prequel before we enter season 2 of Raven Academia, I already have a plan for who would fight who in the sports festival, and what DC Hero is with class 1B.
Guest reviewer, yes There would be a relationship between an MHA character and a DC character, the guessing game and the waiting is more fun, rather than just telling.
Last December I created a discord channel, you can find the link on Wattpad in the same chapter on the Wattpad version. Sorry FFN readers, but the link ins't available in FFN, only on Wattpad.
Til Next Time.
Mabuhay!
