It was a normal day at the school. All the students were seated and the teacher Miss Cheerilee who was a magenta Earth Pony with a light pink mane and tail came in.
"Let's quiet down, please." She said. "We have a very important lesson to get to." So the class quited down.
"Thank you." Said Cheerilee. "Today we are going to be talking about Cutie Marks."
"Boring." Said an Earth Pony filly who was pink with a purple and white mane and tail.
"You can all see my Cutie Mark can't you?" Asked Cheerilee gesturing to her Cutie Mark which was 3 smiley faced flowers. "Like all ponies, I wasn't born with a Cutie Mark." She explained. "My flank was blank." She showed them a picture of when she was a filly.
"Aww." Said a light peach colored filly with purple glasses and a red mane and tail. "She's so precious."
"Then one day, when I was about your age, I woke up to find that a Cutie Mark had appeared." Cheerilee then showed them a picture of her as a teenager.
"Look at her hair." All the kids started laughing.
"Yes, I know but honestly, that's how everypony was wearing their mane back then." Said Cheerilee. "I had decided to become a teacher, and the flowers symbolized my hope that I could help my future students bloom if I nurture them with knowledge." She explained. "The smiles represented the cheer I hope to bring to my little ponies while they were learning." She concluded. "Now, can anyone tell me when a pony gets his or her Cutie Mark?"
The peach pony named Twist raised her hoof. "Oh, oh, oh!" She said. "When she discovers that certain something that makes her special!"
"That's right Twist." Said Cheerilee. "A Cutie Mark appears on a pony's flank when he or she finds that certain something that makes them different from every other pony." Said Cheerilee. "Discovering what makes you unique isn't something that happens overnight and no amount of hoping, wishing, or begging, would make a Cutie Mark appear before its time."
As Cheerilee spoke the pink filly known as Diamond Tiara was trying to get Apple Bloom's attention.
"Pssst." Diamond Tiara whispered. "Pssst."
Apple Bloom tried to ignore her but Diamond Tiara kept trying to get her attention. "Pssst!"
"What?!" Apple Bloom asked annoyed.
Diamond Tiara then pulled out a piece of paper. Apple Bloom turned to a grey filly with a silver mane and tail wearing blue pearls and glasses who had a spoon Cutie Mark. She was gesturing for her to give her the paper.
Apple Bloom took the paper from Diamond Tiara but Cheerilee saw. "Apple Bloom!" She said. "Are you passing a note?"
Apple Bloom stuttered. "Uh, I. Um..."
"What is so important that it can't wait after class?" They then looked to see the note was blank.
"It's blank." Said Cheerilee.
Diamond Tiara only laughed. "Remind you of anypony?"
Apple Bloom looked at her blank flank while the room was filled with laughter and whisper.
Soon school ended and all the foals exited. Apple Bloom was looking sad as she exited.
Twist noticed this and tried to cheer her up. "Want some sweets?" She asked. "I've got some peppermint sticks." She told her. "I made them myself."
Apple Bloom shook her head.
"They'll make you smile!" Said Twist.
"No." Apple Bloom told her.
Just then Diamond Tiara and the silver filly known as Silver spoon showed up.
"I don't know why we had to sit through a lecture about getting a Cutie Mark." Said Diamond Tiara. "I mean waiting to get your Cutie Mark is so last week." She claimed. "You got yours." She told Silver Spoon. "I just got mine. We all have them already." She then turned to Apple Bloom and Twist. "I mean almost all of us have them already. Don't worry you two, you're still totally invited to my cuteceanera this weekend." Diamond Tiara told them.
"It's going to be amazing." Claimed Silver Spoon.
"It's a party celebrating me and my fantastic Cutie Mark." Diamond Tiara said. "How could it not be?"
Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon then did their own secret hoof-shake, which consisted of them bumping their hooves twice, then their elbows and finally their flanks. "Bump bump sugar lump rump."
Apple Bloom was annoyed. "Give me a break."
"See you this weekend." Silver Spoon said.
Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon them laughed. "Blank flanks."
This made Twist and Apple Bloom sad.
Later at Sweet Apple Acres Apple Bloom was complaining to Applejack who was harvesting apples.
"It's not fair!" Said Apple Bloom. "It's just not fair!"
"Don't get your mane in a tangle." Said Applejack. "You'll get your Cutie Mark." She told her sister. "Everypony gets one eventually."
"But I don't want one eventually!" Said Apple Bloom. "I want one right now!" She told her. "I can't go to Diamond Tiara's cuteceanera without one. I just can't."
"Course you can." Said Applejack. "You know I was the last pony in my class to get my Cutie Mark and I couldn't be prouder of it." She told her. "I knew my future was to run Sweet Apple Acres and these bright shiny apples sealed the deal."
Applejack them gasped. "Come to think of it Granny Smith was the last one in her class too." She revealed. "Same as Big McIntosh."
Apple Bloom was unimpressed. "I really don't see how that's supposed to make me feel better. It probably means that being the last one in your class to get a Cutie Mark runs in the family." She then realized. "Runs in the family. Runs in the family! Runs in the family!" "You've got apples for your Cutie Mark, Granny Smith has an apple pie, Big McIntosh has an apple half, my unique talent must has something to do with apples!" She then cheered. "Apples apples apples!" But then crashed into a bucket of apples. "Oops, apples."
Later Applejack and Apple Bloom were selling apples in Ponyville.
"Get your delicious, nutritous apples here." Said Applejack.
"Delicious and nutritious, and so many uses!" Said Apple Bloom before eating an apple. "You can eat them." She then hit an apple with a racket. "Play with them." But the apple hit a pony.
"Hey watch it."
"Create fine art for your home with 'em." She then threw one on a canvas of an painting pony. "You have to be crazy not to get a bushel of your very own."
Applejack then pulled her back and laughed nervously. "She's so creative."
Apple Bloom then noticed a pony walking by. "You sir, care to buy some apples?" She asked.
"Uh no thanks." He said.
Apple Bloom then popped out in front of him. "Why not?"
"I have plenty at home." He said backing away.
Apple Bloom then appeared behind him. "Are you sure?"
"Yes I'm pretty sure." He said.
Apple Bloom then appeared in front of him again. "You're pretty sure. But you're not absolutely positively completely super-duper sure, are you?"
The pony was now nervous. "If I buy some apples, will you leave me alone?" He asked.
"Alright." Said Apple Bloom.
The pony then gave Applejack some bits, took an apple and left.
"You forgot your change."
"Woo hoo!" Cheered Apple Bloom. "That's how you sell some apples and get a Cutie Mark!" Apple Bloom began looking at herself. "So, what does my Cutie Mark look like? A shopping bag full of apples? A satisfied customer eating an apple?" She then realized there was no Cutie Mark. "Maybe I gotta increase my sales figures first."
Apple Bloom then appraoched a pony going through the apples. "You touch it you buy it!" She shouted. "We take cash or credit."
"I'm sorry ma'am." Said Applejack to the frightened pony who ran away. "Ma'am!" Applejack then turned to Apple Bloom. "Now Apple Bloom, you can't just-" But Applejack stopped when she saw what Apple Bloom was doing now.
Apple Bloom was putting apples into a pony's saddle bag. "That'll be four bits."
"I didn't put those in my bag." Said the pony.
"Likely story." Said Apple Bloom. "Four bits lady."
"Apple Bloom." Said Applejack shoving a hoof in Apple Bloom's mouth.
"I am really really sorry about that." Applejack told the pony before looking at Apple Bloom. "She's new."
Applejack then put some apples in the pony's bag. "Here, take these, no charge."
The pony however did not look satisfied so Applejack gave her more apples.
"And these." Said Applejack. But the pony still wasn't satisfied so Applejack put a bucket of apples on her back. "And these." Said Applejack.
Despite the fact that she was struggling to carry everything the pony smiled and walked away.
"Y'all come back now." Said Applejack. "You here?" Applejack then glared at Apple Bloom.
"What?" Asked Apple Bloom.
"Sorry little sis, but your apple selling days are over." Said Applejack before taking Apple Bloom's apron.
"What?!" Said Apple Bloom. "But how else am I supposed to get my Cutie Mark?" She then took her apron back.
"Home." Said Applejack. "Now."
Applejack then sighed. "Listen, sugarcube, I know it's hard to wait for your very own Cutie Mark but you just can't force it." She said. "Besides you're not that grown up yet." Applejack then got an idea. "Ain't there other fillies in your class without one?"
"Well, Twist doesn't have hers yet." Apple Bloom told her.
"Do you think you'd feel better if you went to the party with her?" Asked Applejack.
Apple Bloom nodded.
"Well there you go." Applejack told her. "Bet you and Twist would have a great time together." She said. "Now run along and find your friend."
"You sure you don't want me to stick around until the end of the market?" Apple Bloom asked.
Just then the pony who owned the racket Apple Bloom used earlier found it coverd in mushed apples. "Hey who's been using my racket?!" He asked angrily.
"Yeah I'm sure of it." Said Applejack.
Later Apple Bloom went and knocked on Twist's door.
Twist then answered. "Oh what's up Apple Bloom?"
"So I was thinking, maybe we could go to Diamond Tiara's cuteceanera together." Said Apple Bloom. "I don't have a Cutie Mark, you don't have a Cutie Mark."
Twist however looked unsure. "Um well." She then opened the door and revealed a surprise. Apple Bloom gasped... Twist had her Cutie Mark. It was two peppermint candy canes making a heart shape.
"Isn't my Cutie Mark swell?" Said Twist. "I've always loved making my own favorite sweets, but it took me some time to discover that it was my super special talent." She explained. "Pretty sweet, huh?"
"Yeah pretty, sweet." Said Apple Bloom dissapointed.
"Hey, this doesn't mean we can't go to the cuteceanera together." Said Twist. "You're still gonna come to the party, are you?"
Before Apple Bloom could answer Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon walked by. "Of course she will." Said Diamond Tiara.
"It's not like being the only pony there without a Cutie Mark would be, like the most embarrassing thing ever." Said Silver Spoon.
The two fillies then laughed which made Apple Bloom feel bad.
Later Apple Bloom was sad and alone when Rainbow Dash showed up.
"Woah, looks like somepony's got a dark cloud hanging over her head." Said Rainbow Dash as Apple Bloom really did have a dark cloud over her head.
"Let me do something about that." She then pushed the dark cloud away.
"What's the matter kid?" She asked.
Apple Bloom took a deep breath. "There's a cuteceanera this afternoon and everypony in my class will be there and they'll all have their Cutie Marks and I wanna get my Cutie Mark but I'm no good at sellin' apples but I really wanna go to the party but how can I go to the party if I don't have my Cutie Mark which my big sister says I'm gonna get eventually but... I WANT IT NOW!" She said with emphasis.
"Cutie Mark?" Asked Rainbow Dash. "I can get you a Cutie Mark like that." She used her tail to make a snapping sound.
"Applejack says these things take time." Said Apple Bloom. "I have to just wait for it to happen."
"Why wait for something to happen when you can make it happen?" Asked Rainbow Dash.
"But Applejack says that-" Apple Bloom started but Rainbow Dash cut her off.
"Hey, who are you gonna listen to?" Asked Rainbow. "Applejack, or the pony who was first in her class to get a Cutie Mark?" She said. "I always liked flying and all but I was going nowhere in a hurry." Explained Dash. "It wasn't until my very first race that I discovered a serious need for speed and KAZAM! This sweet baby appeared as fast as lightning." She finished.
Later Rainbow Dash was having Apple Bloom do push-ups.
"That's right." Said Rainbow Dash. "That's right, stretch out those legs! Gotta be nice and loose!" She continued. "The key here is to try as many things as possible as quickly as possible." Rainbow explained. "One of them is bound to lead to your Cutie Mark. Are you ready?"
"I'm ready." Apple Bloom declared.
"I said, ARE YOU READY!" Dash repeated.
"I'M READY!" Apple Bloom declared.
They first tried juggling.
"Juggling, go." Said Dash before blowing her whistle.
But while she did well at first Apple Bloom eventually fell over.
Next was hang-gliding.
"Hang-gliding, go." Said Dash before blowing her whistle again.
But as Apple Bloom started running ready to glide she tripped again. "Woah."
Next was Karate.
"Karate, go." Dash blew her whistle.
Apple Bloom jumped. "Hiyah!" But as she tried to kick a punching bag she ended up hurting herself and falling to the floor.
After that was kite flying.
"Kite flying go." Dash blew her whistle.
Apple Bloom began flying her kite and did a good job of it. However her kite eventually crash landed and got ruined.
Last was Ultrapony Roller Derby.
"Ultrapony Roller Derby, go." Dash blew her whistle one last time.
Apple Bloom started roller derby but a bunch of mean looking foals were behind her. Eventually she fell over and started literally rolling which caused the others to crash into her. Apple Bloom skated away sheepishly.
Later Apple Bloom sat down while Rainbow Dash looked through a list of everything they did and still had to do. "Tried that one, tried that one, tried that one." Dash kept repeating.
Apple Bloom then saw Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon walking by. Diamond Tiara was also carrying a huge present. Apple Bloom quickly hid behind a bush and watched.
"Your new outfit is like, perfect for the party." Said Silver Spoon.
"I know." Said Diamond Tiara. "It totally shows off my Cutie Mark."
"I love being special." Said Silver Spoon.
"Can you imagine how embarrassing it must be to be not special?" Asked Diamond Tiara.
"I don't even want to like think about it." Said Silver Spoon.
Dash kept looking. "Tried that one, tried that one."
Apple Bloom was starting to lose her confidence. "I'm doomed. Doomed!" She said. "I'll never find something I'm good at."
Suddenly Pinkie Pie came out of nowhere. "You look like you'd be good at eating cupcakes."
"Eating cupcakes." Said Apple Bloom with a smile.
"Eating cupcakes." Dash repeated skeptically.
"Eating cupcakes." Said Pinkie before hopping off.
Apple Bloom then turned to Rainbow Dash. "I really appreciate all your help Rainbow Dash." She said. "You're a really great coach and I really learned a lot from you and I'm sure I can learn a lot more but I've got cupcakes to eat. See you at the cuteceanera." She then ran off after Pinkie Pie. "Hold on Pinkie Pie, I'm coming."
Soon the two were at Sugarcube Corner. "I can't believe I didn't think of this." Said Apple Bloom. "A cupcake eating Cutie Mark, it's so obvious." She said. "Now where are those cupcakes? I'm ready to chow down!"
"I don't have any cupcakes." Pinkie pointed out.
"Oh." Said Apple Bloom.
Pinkie Pie then gasped. "But you look like you'd be good at helping me make some." She said putting a chef's hat on Apple Bloom.
"I guess a making cupcakes Cutie Mark could work too." Said Apple Bloom.
Pinkie Pie then began singing.

All you have to do is take a cup of flour
Add it to the mix
Pinkie sang as she put flour and candy into a bowl of mix.
Now just take a little something sweet, not sour
A bit of salt just a pinch
Apple Bloom balanced a lemon on her nose then dropped it when she saw Pinkie.
Baking these treats is such a cinch
Add a teaspoon of vanilla
Pinkie balanced a cupcake pan on her nose while spinning it around. She then flipped over a spoon of vanilla.
Add a little more, and you count to four, and you never get your fill of-
Pinkie then began hopping around
Cupcakes! So sweet and tasty! Cupcakes! Don't be too hasty
Apple Bloom was having trouble balancing pans on her head so Pinkie helped her out.

Soon Apple Bloom was working in the kitchen. But all she made was a mess and when she pulled out her cupcakes but she burned them. "Hot hot hot!" She said as she held the pan.
"Ooh those look much better than the last batch." Said Pinkie before eating one. Apple Bloom also ate one. But while Pinkie enjoyed them Apple Bloom spat them out.
"I guess I'm not cut out to be a baker either." Apple Bloom sighed before walking away. "I just have to face it." She said. "I'm gonna have a blank flank forever."
"What about that." Pinkie said and Apple Bloom then saw a patch of white on her flank.
"What about what?" She asked. "Is there something on my flank?" She asked getting excited. "Is there? Is there? Is there?"
Apple Bloom then looked at her reflection in a reflective bowl and gasped. "A Cutie Mark!" She said. It's a, a measuring cup? No, a mixing bowl? No, are those cupcakes? A tower of cupcakes maybe?"
Pinkie then blew it away revealing it was just flour. "Flour, it's flour." Said Pinkie. "Yay! I guessed it!" She said hopping. "What game do you wanna play next?" She asked. "Please say bingo, please say bingo." She begged hopping.
Suddenly Twilight and Luna came in.
"Woah." Said Twilight. "What's been going on here?"
"It looks like a twister hit this place." Luna said.
"We've been making cupcakes." Pinkie explained. "Wanna try them?"
Luna and Twilight looked disgusted. "No thank you." Said Twilight. "Not that they don't look delicious."
Apple Bloom then approached them. "Twilight, Luna, you have to help me."
"What's the matter?" Asked Twilight.
"Is everything okay?" Luna asked.
Apple Bloom took a deep breath. "Diamond Tiara's cuteceanera's today and everypony in my class will be there and they'll all have their Cutie Marks and I want to get my Cutie Mark but I'm no good at selling apples or hang-gliding or making cupcakes, but I wanna go to the party but how can I go to the party if I don't have my Cutie Mark, which Pinkie Pie says I can't just make appear, but I need it to appear right now!"
"Okay!" Said Luna. "Let's take this slowly and who's Diamond Tiara?"
"Uh I don't follow." Said Twilight. "How can I help?"
"You can use your magic to make my Cutie Mark appear." Said Apple Bloom.
"Oh no Apple Bloom." Said Twilight. "A Cutie Mark is something a pony has to discover for herself."
"Please Twilight." Apple Bloom said. "Just try."
"I'm sorry but-"
"Oh, please please please please please." Apple Bloom begged.
"All right, all right." Said Twilight.
"Oh thank you thank you thank you." Said Apple Bloom.
Twilight then used her magic and a Cutie Mark appeared on Apple Bloom's flank. It was a wagon of apples. "Yes I knew you could do it." But Apple Bloom spoke too soon as just as quickly as the Cutie Mark appeared it vanished.
"I'm sorry sweetie." Said Twilight. "But I told you."
"Try again, try again!" Said Apple Bloom.
Twilight let out a sigh and tried using her magic a bunch more times but everytime Twilight put a Cutie Mark on Apple Bloom it just vanished.
"Told you that not even magic can make a Cutie Mark appear before its time." Said Twilight.
Apple Bloom had given up after that. "It's hopeless, hopeless!" She declared. "I just won't go to the party. I can't go." She said. "Everyone will just laugh at me and make fun of me and call me names!" She told them. "It will be the worst night of my life!"
"I'm sure it won't be as bad as all that." Said Luna. "It's not like you'll be the only human there."
"Easy for you to say Luna." Said Apple Bloom. "You may not have a Cutie Mark but you still have your precious Signer Mark, so you don't have to feel left out."
"Well yeah, my Signer Mark is one of the few things that makes me feel less awkward about being the only human in a world filled with talking ponies." Luna admitted.
"Well at least your popular." Said Apple Bloom. "Everypony loves you. Not just because you vanquished Nightmare Moon, but because of your connection to Her Greatness." That's when Apple Bloom realized something. "That's it. Luna you think you can get Ancient Fairy Dragon here. I know she can't give me a Cutie Mark but maybe she can get the other foals off my back."
"Apple Bloom I'm not taking advantage of my connection to Ancient Fairy Dragon like that." Luna said calmly but firmly. "I'm sorry."
"Forget it." Said Apple Bloom. "There's no way I'm going to that..." Apple Bloom then looked around to see that the event had started. She gulped. "Party."
As ponies ate food and celebrated Apple Bloom hid behind a giant pony made of chocolate.
"How could I have forgotten the time?" She asked herself. "How could I have forgotten Pinkie Pie was hosting the party?" She said. "How could I have forgotten it was at Sugarcube Corner?"
Pinkie Pie then came and put a party hat on Apple Bloom's head. "Don't forget your party hat Forgetty Forgetterson." She said before hopping off.
Apple Bloom began sneaking around before hiding behind a cake. "I have to get out of here before anypony sees me."
Snails then came and took a bite out of the cake Apple Bloom hid behind.
Diamond Tiara then appeared. "Hey! It's my cuteceanera." She said. "I'm supposed to get the first bite of cake."
Apple Bloom continued sneaking around. She hid behind some baloons before a blue Unicorn began popping them with his horn.
Apple Bloom kept sneaking around until she got underneath a table of punch.
Apple Bloom then saw the front door. "Okay Apple Bloom, almost there." She said. Apple Bloom began moving the table by walking underneath it. Then a pink Earth Pony came secretly slurped from the punch on the table.
Eventually Apple Bloom made it to the front door. But before she could walk out she bumped into Applejack. "Apple Bloom you made it!" She said happily. "After I heard about Twist, I was afraid you wouldn't show up." She admitted. "I sure am glad you came to your senses about this whole Cutie Mark thing. These things happen when these things are supposed to happen. Trying to rush them just drives you crazy." But while Applejack said all this Apple Bloom was trying to get passed her but couldn't because instead of walking around Applejack she was walking into her. "I'll let you be. Looks like your friends want to talk to you."
Apple Bloom then saw Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon appraoching her. Thinking quick she used the cloth from the table she hid underneath earlier and covered blank flank with it.
"Well wel well." Said Diamond Tiara. "Look who's here."
"Nice outfit." Silver Spoon mocked.
"Just something I uh, put together last minute." Said Apple Bloom.
"It really shows off your Cutie Mark." Said Diamond Tiara. "Oh wait. That's right. You don't have one."
"I have a Cutie Mark." Claimed Apple Bloom.
"Uh what?" Said Silver Spoon. "Since when?"
"Since earlier today." Said Apple Bloom.
"Oh really?" Said Diamond Tiara. "Let's see it."
Apple Bloom then got nervous. "I shouldn't. I couldn't" She said. "My Cutie Mark is so unbelievably amazing, I'm afraid that if I show it off everyone will start paying attention to me instead of you." She said which made Diamond Tiara nervous. "Outshined at your own cuteceanera." Apple Bloom continued. "Can you imagine how embarrassing that would be?"
This made Diamond Tiara change her mind. "Uh forget it." She said. "I didn't really wanna see it anyway."
"Okay well I'm gonna go mingle." Said Apple Bloom. "Enjoy your party."
But while Apple Bloom was walking she stepped on the cloth which caused her to fall over and bump into a table the record player was on stopping the music. The cloth had also fallen off revealing her blank flank.
Everypony was staring at Apple Bloom. "Oh no."
"Wow that is an amazing Cutie Mark." Silver Spoon mocked.
"Nice try." Said Diamond Tiara.
"Blank flank." They both teased.
The whispering and teasing continued until...
"Do you got a problem with blank flanks?" Asked a voice.
Gasps echoed across the room. All attention turned to two young fillies hinding underneath a table. One of them was an orange Pegasus filly with a magenta mane and tail. The other was a white Unicorn filly with a light pink and lavender mane and tail.
"I said, you got a problem with blank flanks?" The Pegasus repeated as she and the Unicorn came out from underneath the table.
"The problem is I mean she's like totally not special." Silver Spoon said.
"No." Said the Unicorn. "It means she's full of potential."
"It means she could be great at anything." The Pegasus added. "The posibilities are like endless." She mocked Silver Spoon.
"She could be a great scientist, or an amazing artist, or a famous writer." Said the Unicorn. "She could even be mayor of Ponyville someday."
"And she's not stuck being stuck up like you two." The Pegasus told Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.
This caused everypony to laugh.
"Hey!" Said Diamond Tiara. "This is my party. Why are you two on her side?"
"Because..." The Pegasus and Unicorn then revealed that they didn't have Cutie Marks either.
Apple Bloom gasped. "You don't have your Cutie Marks either?" She asked. "I thought I was the only one."
"We thought we were the only two." Said the Pegasus.
"I for one think you are three very lucky fillies." Twilight said as she and Luna walked up to them.
"Lucky?" Asked Diamond Tiara. "How can they be lucky?"
"They still get to experience the thrill of discovering who they are, and what they're meant to be." Twilight told her.
"And they got all the time in the world to figure it out" Said Applejack. "Not just an afternoon."
All the other foals walked up to them and admired the three fillies.
"Wow Apple Bloom!"
"I wish I could be a scientist."
"Maybe I got my Cutie Mark too soon." Said a pink Earth Pony filly.
"Hey what's everypony doing?!" Asked Diamond Tiara. "This is my party, everypony's supposed to be paying attention to me."
But the other foals kept ignoring her.
"Whatever. We still think you're losers." Said Silver Spoon. "Right Diamond Tiara?" She then tried to do their hoofshake. "Bump bump sugar lump-"
But Diamond Tiara stopped her. "Not now Silver Spoon." The two then walked away.
"Name's Scootaloo." Said the Pegasus.
"And I'm Sweetie Belle." Said the Unicorn.
"Apple Bloom." Apple Bloom introduced herself.
Later as the party continued the three fillies talked while Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon watched. Diamond Tiara was angry.
"So I was thinking now that we're friends." Said Apple Bloom. "I mean we are friends, right?"
"How could we not be?" Asked Scootaloo. "We're totally alike." She said. "We don't have Cutie Marks, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon drive us crazy."
"Totally crazy." Added Sweetie Belle.
They all shared a laugh at that.
"Well, now that we're friends." Apple Bloom continued. "What if the three of us work together to find out who we are and what we're supposed to be?" She suggested.
"Ooh, ooh!" We could form our own secret society!" Sweetie Belle suggested.
"I'm liking this idea." Said Scootaloo.
"A secret society, yeah." Said Apple Bloom. "We need a name for it though."
"The Cutie Mark Three?" Suggested Scootaloo.
"The Cutastically Fantastics?" Sweetie Belle suggested.
"How about, The Cutie Mark Crusaders." Suggested Apple Bloom.
They had a winner.
"It's perfect!" Said Scootaloo.
Suddenly a bright flash engulfed the room. It was Ancient Fairy Dragon.
"Ancient Fairy Dragon." Said Luna.
The ponies all bowed in her presence.
"Rise my ponies." She said.
Ancient Fairy Dragon then approached the newly named Cutie Mark Crusaders. "Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo."
"You're Greatness." They all said in unison.
"I heard that you three plan to join forces to achieve your Cutie Marks." Ancient Fairy Dragon said. "Over the many centuries I have watched over Equestria I have seen many ponies achieve their Cutie Marks." She continued. "But never have I seen anyponies let alone three individual ponies of all three species come together to achieve their Cutie Marks. It warms my heart to see you three together like this."
"It does?" Asked Scootaloo.
"Yes for it was I who brought the Unicorns, Pegasi, and Earth Ponies together." Ancient Fairy Dragon revealed.
"Really?" Asked Sweetie Belle.
"That's amazing!" Said Apple Bloom.
"Know that I wish all three of you the best of luck in your journey to find your Cutie Marks." Said Ancient Fairy Dragon.
"Thank you your Greatness." Said Apple Bloom.
"One final thing." Said Ancient Fairy Dragon. "If any of you feel in need, come to me and I will offer you both gudiance and wisdom."
"We'll remember that." Said Scootaloo.
With that Ancient Fairy Dragon vanished in another radiant light.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders cheered.
"This is gonna be so great!" Said Sweetie Belle.
"We're gonna be unstoppable!" Said Apple Bloom.
"What do you say we celebrate with some of these delicious cupcakes?" Said Scootaloo.
Scootaloo was about to bite into one but Apple Bloom stopped her by shoving a hoof into Scootaloo's mouth.
"Not the cupcakes!" Apple Bloom said before taking her hoof out of Scootaloo's mouth. "Trust me."
"Let's see if there are any cookies." Said Sweetie Belle.
"Yeah." Said Apple Bloom.
"Come on." Said Scootaloo.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders then walked off while Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon stared in both shock and surprise, mouths wide open at the approval the Cutie Mark Crusaders had just gotten from Ancient Fairy Dragon.
Meanwhile Twilight wrote a letter to Princess Celestia.
"Dearest Princess Celestia, I am happy to report that one of your youngest subjects has learned a valuable lesson about friendship. Sometimes, the thing you think will cause you to lose friends and feel left out..."
Later Celestia read the rest of the letter. "Can actually be the thing that helps you make your closest friends and realize how special you are." She finished before looking at her own Cutie Mark.
