Welcome to chapter four or technically five. Everyday I kinda regret titling my first chapter, chapter zero.
We're finally in a different dimension and get to see some new characters
I love and appreciate all the reviews the story has gotten thus far. And with no more stalling let's start.
Ch. 4 Security's new Stripes
Yuri darted between streets. "Judging by the agricultural and how crappy everything is around here I'm certainly in the slums of the synchro dimension." Yuri thinks to himself darting his head around to keep his eyes on his surroundings.
"Damn those shitty bracelets! They always interfere with me!" Yuri grumbled to himself. "Right when that duel was reaching its climax! In fact I would've had a lot more great duels if it wasn't for those damn things! I would've gotten to beat Fusion sooner, would've gotten to capture Yuzu Hiragi!" Yuri wined out loud with a grimace.
Hours had passed and Yuri's movements had slowed to a crawl. "I used more energy in that duel than I thought." Yuri hissed. "I'm exhausted." The fusion summoner petulantly grumbled.
He took one more staggered step before collapsing to his knees. Yuri with the last of his strength pushed his back against a wall his eyelids twitched rapidly. Yuri's predator instincts screamed at him to find a better place to hide before passing out but exhaustion often overpowered one's best interest.
Yuri was suddenly jolted awake! It was odd feeling, something alien to his life from before.
"Citizen! Citizen! Citizen!" Said a firm assertive voice he was to blame for Yuri's abrupt wake.
Yuri blinked repeatedly clocking who was in front of him he was faced with three basic officers of Sector Security.
"Good. You've come to. We found you unconscious and wanted to make sure you were ok. Are you in need of medical attention?" The center officer asked.
Yuri's eyes widened and he raised an eyebrow. "No, no I'm fine you can move on." He said a bit put off.
"Are you sure if you are homeless we can direct you to a soup kitchen. You appear to be in your adolescence there have been many more orphanages built in the Commons as of recent." The center officer explained his voice sounding artificial as if this information was forced on him.
"Huh." Yuri blurted. "Isn't this the place infamous for its extreme classism?" The predator thought to himself confused.
"Do we really have to do all this crap?! He's still a common why can't we treat them like we used to?!" The right officer questioned annoyed.
"I agree, but the Administrative Council passed that pact for equal rights between Tops and Commons." The center officer explained. "Worst part is they're making us enforce this crap. Didn't have to deal with this shit when Roget was around." The man grumbled.
"I'm literally still right here." Yuri thought baffled at their audacity.
"Hey!? Wait your Yuya Sakaki aren't you?" The left officer blurted shocked.
"Well this was inevitable. At least I'm being mistaken for Yuya and not Fusion." Yuri thought to himself. "Yes yes it is I Yuya Sakaki the great entertainment duelist. Now I must be going to spread smiles and all that." Yuri says preparing to walk away.
"No no no. It was you winning the friendship cup that changed everything. So if we beat you we'll show everyone that it's a ton of crap." The center officer said.
"Oh it is way too early for this shit." Yuri thought to himself fed up. Yuri hoped up using the center officer for footing then jumping off of him onto the wall and then jumping from it to the other side of the street.
"What?!" The center officer grunted in pain.
"Huh I didn't know Yuya Sakaki was an acrobat!" The left officer yelled.
"Ok, first of all I am not Yuya Sakaki, and second of all you have much greater things to worry about than my acrobatic abilities." Yuri says slyly igniting his duel disk the purple rim of the sword like projection shining.
"Wait your duel disk looks weird especially the blade." The right officer uttered confused.
"Oh you don't recognize a duel disk of this style? That's odd when your former boss once used a duel disk just like this one." Yuri mocked a sinister smirk on his face.
"Wait your one of those damn fusion duelist we were warned about after the friendship cup. They told us your duel disks looked different. You've exposed yourself!" The center officer proclaimed.
"Wow quite audacious of you to insult my dimension when not long ago your entire department was under the thump of one of us. Actually almost your entire dimension was under his thumb." Yuri said snarky.
"Grrth Shut your mouth!" The center officer shouted. "Boys let's crush this punk even if he isn't the Friendship cup champion he's still one of those fusion scumbags let's stomp him and gain city wide respect." The officer exclaimed activating his duel disk.
"Right!" The other two officers.
"Oh heh does fodder ever learn there place." Yuri chuckled.

"Well then I'll be starting us off. I play the Allure of Darkness! I discard my Predaplant Cordyceps to draw two cards." Yuri stated. "I summon my Predaplant Spinodionaea! I then play Double Summon this card gives me another normal summon this turn I now summon my Predaplant Moray Nepenthes!" He says as his two Predaplants appeared on the field.

"And with that I end my turn. Take it away boys in blue~." Yuri says with a wink.
"I hope you won't mind if I don't read you your rights! I draw!" The far left officer yells." "I summon Jutte Lord and when this is monster is summoned I get to special summon another Jutte monster appear Jutte Fighter!" The far left officer explained.

"It's time I show your pathetic plants who's the true predator! I tune my Jutte Fighter with my Jutte Lord! Hunt! Goyo Predator!" The officer shouts as a beast like fighter wielding a Jutte took the place of the two monsters.

"Now Goyo Predator attack his Predaplant Moray Nepenthes!" The far left officer ordered his monster charging and crushing Yuri's dinosaur.
Yuri: 4000 - 800 = 3200 LP
"When my Goyo Predator destroys a monster I get to summon it to my field!" The Left office explains his monster pulling Moray Nepenthes from the graveyard.

"And with that I end my turn." The left Officer says.
"Just like my fellow officer I summon Jutte Lord and use it to special summon my Jutte Fighter!" The right Officer says.

"I then tune them together to get my own Goyo Predator!" The right officer shouted.

"Now Goyo Predator destroy his Predaplant Spinodionaea"! The right officer demanded.

"And of course since Goyo Predator was the one to destroy your monster I get to recruit it to the force!" The right officer boasted.

"And with my new recruit I'll attack you directly, Spinodionaea! Attack him directly!" The right officer commanded.
Yuri: 2400 - 900 = 1500
"Sadly when a monster under Goyo Predators control deals damage it's only half. Turn end." The right officer says.
"My tur-" The center officer began before getting cut off.
"Tsk Tsk I activate my trap card Predator Killer!" Yuto says.
"Huh no way you have a trap card that destroys are Goyo Predators!?" The left officer blurted.
"You have nothing to worry about this card only works on the real deal. With this card I can destroy Predaplant monsters in exchange to draw cards. I'm tributing both of the ones you stole." Yuri mocks with a condescending grin as a can sprouts from the card resembling weed killer spraying a purple liquid destroying Yuri's stolen monsters.
"Grr! What does a few more cards mean you're losing this turn! I draw!" The center officer growled. "Heh guess what scum! It isn't just your dimension that can wield the power of fusion." The center officer boasted revealing a polymerization spell card in his hand. "Roget before he left gave us quite the gift. I play Polymerization! I fuse my two comrades Goyo Predator's into the monarch of officers! Fusion Summon Goyo Emperor!" The center officer roared as what looked to be a Classical Japanese emperor as you would see on an ancient painting appeared on the fusion spiral.

"Oh so Roget gave you peons Polymerization?" Yuri notes stroking his chin.
"You know Roget!?" The center officer asked.
"Oh of course I knew him. He was one of the inane trenchers the Professor had try and teach me. He ran out after the twelfth time I corrected him." Yuri explained then let out a snort laugh. "Moron." He added.
"Now Goyo Emperor! Destroy him!" The center officer ordered.
"I activate the effect of my Predaplant Cordyceps I banish it to summon the two Predaplants in my grave." Yuri countered.

"You idiot! When Goyo Emperor destroys a monster I gain control of it and I can tribute that monster to attack again! Goyo Emperor continue your attack!" The center officer raved.
"Bold of you to assume a true predator would ever play defensive! I activate my quick play spell! Flash Fusion! Merge plants grown from my demonic garden grown to kill and form a beast of new terror! Fusion Summon! Level 7 Predaplant Chimerafflesia!" Yuri chanted as a monster that looked like an amalgamation of vines with an open bulb on top leading to a mouth of sharp teeth.

"That monster is still to weak! My combo will still work!" The center officer snapped.
"There you go again getting hasty~ whenever a monster battles Chimerafflesia that monster loses one thousand attack points and Chimerafflesia gains them." Yuri explained in an artificially sweet tone.

"Damn I... call off my attack." The center officer grumbled. "Since the battle is over my monsters attack is back to normal!" He shouted.

"I'm not done I play Goyo Last Job with this card officers get there second chance to fight the good fight! This card revives all Goyo monsters in the graveyard without there effects." The center officer explained.

"Turn End!" The center officer spat clearly frustrated.
"And since the turn Flash Fusion was used is over Chimerafflesia goes to my grave." Yuri explains his monster shattering to pixels.
"Heh get on with your turn and we'll end this!" The center officer heckled.
Yuri lightly snickered. "I play my own Polymerization! Time for me to show you the real power of fusion! Two beautiful flowers with an insect-alluring fragrance! Now become one, and from the hell beneath your petals, give birth to a new terror! Fusion Summon! Appear! Poisonous dragon with hungry fangs. Level 8! Starving Venom Fusion Dragon!" Yuri chanted as his trusty ace dragon emerged from the fusion spiral.

"That, monster... it's terrifying!" The three officers stammered shaking.
"Whenever my trusty hunting partner is summoned it gain the combined attack points of all special summoned monsters!" Yuri explained grinning wickedly.
"No way!!" The center officer shouted in shock.

"10-900,!" The right and left officer stuttered in fear.
"Time for me to show you frauds what a real fusion monster is capable of. I play Predator Dead Seeds this card allows me to banish Predaplants in my grave and for the number I banish, my opponents monsters get Preda counters!" Yuri explains with a grin as Preda counters sprout from his trap card latching themselves to the Goyo monster.

"There levels being lower doesn't change a damn thing!" The center officer barked.
"Now I discard my Predaplant Squid Drosera! When this card is discarded one monster on my field can attack all the monsters that have Preda counters." Yuri says.
"Wait!" The right officer yelled
"That!" The left officer grunted.
"Means!" The center officer screams.
"You lose~" Yuri chirps with a wink his dragon soaring up spreading is energy like wings then descending with many vines destroying the three monsters.
Officer 1: 4000 - 8500 = 0
Officer 2: 4000 - 8500 = 0
Officer 3: 4000 - 7400 = 0
"Aaaah!!" The three officers scream.
WINNER: YURI
The glint in Yuri's eyes dissipated. There it was again that odd feeling of emptiness he had felt when he had defeated the Fuma brothers. Yuri let out a deep sigh he moved his arms in front of himself they were, perfectly still. The memories of how his body shook after his duel with Hell Kaiser and during his duel against Shun and Yuto.
Yuri pulled from duel disk Starving Venom's card looking at it in a moment of contemplation. "Well partner what do you think?" Yuri asks looking to his ace card taking a moment and lightly nodding his head in recognition. Yuri shuts his eyes and places Starving Venom back into his duel disk. Yuri slowly exhaled. It was an odd sensation not enjoying himself.
His whole life even when a vague feeling of solitude had overtaken him he still found enjoyment in everything he did. Even long after he had stomped his pathetic classmates in the Academia orphanage that joy would linger but now the excitement of crushing the weak only lasted as long as he was doing it. But there were feelings that lasted.
Yuri's mind drifted to his summoning of Predapower Fusion Dragon and its clash with Yuto's Anthelion Dragon, then to when he was staring down Hell Kaiser's Cyber End Dragon, and finally what Yuri was know discovering as the happiest moment of his life. The life or death duel he had with Yuya Sakaki and as he did a, smile appeared on Yuri's face. Those were feelings that lasted.
That settled it he was done dueling weaklings. Why would he do something that wasn't enjoyable. Now the hard thing was finding actual worthy opponents.
"HEY WHATS GOIN ON!" A man roared clearly concerned he was in the same Sector Security garb as the three Yuri had defeated moments before with a few slight altercations for reasons Yuri could only assume on he was currently atop the standard Sector Security D-Wheel.
He threw off his helmet to get a better look at the situation and got off his D-Wheel. He had duel colored hair teal on bottom and an off shade of purple on top going into several tuffs.
"Chief we're sorry. He's a monster we stood no chance." The center officer choked out.
"Don't worry I'll take it from here!" The man said clenching his fist.
"To think I'd be relying on a Common!" The center officer thought to himself frustrated.
"Ok to set the record straight they started it." Yuri interjected with a deadpan expression.
The man blinked a few times. "Wait, Yuya?" The man said with an inquisitive tone. "Uh it me Shinji, Shinji Weber. I know Sector Security wasn't the best last time you where here and these guys still got a lot of changing to do but progress is happening. I mean look at me." Shinji said pointing to himself.
Yuri's eyes half shut and his jaw hang a little wide. "Twice in one day? It seems this one knows my standard counterpart personally." Yuri thought to himself.
"Chief that isn't Yuya Sakaki. He's from the Fusion dimension." The center officer said through grunts.
"The Fusion counterpart? Right Yuya's not from here. It's that Yugo guy that's our version." Shinji thought to himself.
"You! What is your purpose here?" Shinji asked his voice stern his demeanor shifting from worried leader to serious officer.
"Oh aren't you gonna read me my rights officer~. I mean shouldn't you be begging for forgiveness? Your men did just assault me without a reasonable charge. If I were you I'd just leave before I take this to your superior." Yuri says confidently putting in just the right level of to make his annoyance sound legitimate.
"Quit your prattling you're a war criminal you have no rights here!" Shinji spat those words hurt to say like spitting out sharp blades.
Shinji stood in a lavish park in the Tops he was noticeably younger about half a decade or so.
Moments later Shinji was being assaulted by an officer of Sector Security. A top woman had supposedly felt "threatened" with Shinji being there.
He had luckily not been sent to the facility but he had received the worst beating of his life.
"You can't do this! I didn't do anything!" The younger Shinji cried.
"Shut it! Ya damn common your kind have no rights here!" The officer let out a beastly growl.
Yuri blinked a few times and tilted his head to the left. "He's zoning out." Yuri noted in his head. "Not to nitpick but I'm not actually a war criminal. I was just on a different side." Yuri corrected smugly
Shinji shook his head fearlessly from right to left. "Enough! If you won't surrender quietly I'll just have to duel and beat you!" Shinji shouted resolutely.
Yuri closed his eyes and grimaced. "Apologies, but I just made this whole resolution about not dueling weaklings, and you don't really cut it." Yuri groaned as he explained.
Shinji's jaw dropped. "Oh Shut up we're dueling!" Shinji spat.
Yuri frowned and darted off jumping up one of the walls grabbing the top of the roof hoisting his body atop it.
Shinji grit his teeth throwing his riding helmet back on his head and hoping on the D-Wheel riding after Yuri.
Yuri jumped from rooftop to rooftop keeping his keen eyes on Shinji who was driving alongside the buildings.
"Stop and I might show you mercy!" Shinji shouted staring at Yuri.
"Hm, how about no." Yuri says placing his pointer finger against his left cheek.
Yuri leapt to the next roof and smirked. This one was a little longer and gave him enough space to build up more speed.
Yuri jumped off the building full speed landing on a truck presumably one the Sector security officers used when traveling as a bigger group. Not losing an ounce of his momentum Yuri sprang himself up grabbing the ledge of a building that was a story taller than the rest. Yuri pulled himself up rolling onto the roof. Kneeling a top it Yuri darted his head around looking for further routes for his escape.
Shinji gritted his teeth. "Damn! How'd he do that? I'll need to reroute to a higher street!" Shinji spoke aloud to himself. He then ruffled his hand into his helmet onto his ear. "This is the Chief of Sector Security Shinji Weber. I'm requesting for a redirect onto the lower streets of Neo Domino approximately three elevations higher than I am now!" Shinji requested into his com.
Yuri was now focusing on getting high. "That moron can't follow me up here with his bike." Yuri smugly murmured to himself.
Taller building were rare in the commons the two story one Yuri was on currently was notably taller than the ones around but Yuri could eye a three story one. Probably the tallest building in the commons. Yuri smirked his devious mind at work.
Yuri went to the opposite direction of his goal. Acrobatics was one of the many things the Professor focused upon with there studies, and Yuri was the best of the best only second to Sora Shiunin when it came to jump height and raw speed.
Yuri sprinted with a speed that seemed out of place for a human. Leaping with a spin to maintain his momentum. Yuri could tell he had undershot just slightly, On instinct Yuri reached out pressing a button on his duel disk triggering the activation of its blade it digging into the side of the building giving Yuri leverage to pull his body onto it.
Yuri smirked. "Heh catch me know Copper!" Yuri said to himself picking himself up.
"Eyes on the target send back up to my location!" Shinji said his fingers threw his helmet onto his ear.
Yuri looked up his expression falling his eyes going more round and his mouth open in shock forming a goofy pout.
"No more room to run Scum!" Shinji shouted.
Yuri grimaced. "Damn soon I'll be surrounded and then I'll be forced to duel these weaklings!" Yuri wined in his head.
"Checkmate I got him there is no way out!" Shinji thought to himself.
"Grr, I only have teo routes out of this situation. I could jump from the building. But I doubt even I could come out of that unscathed. I'd be easy to catch then." Yuri mulled over. "Then my only way out is to get up to the street he's on and escapes from there." He calculated in his head.
"Let's play a little game of chicken." Yuri said aloud to himself.
Shinji stared down at Yuri from the higher street. He was roughly fifteen feet above Yuri. "What's he planning." The Common muttered.
The purple haired predator darted to the other half of the building using the entire length of the building to build up speed.
Shinji's expression intensified as he say what Yuri was doing "He's crazy!" The officer yelled in shock.
Yuri jumped up waisting no movements trying to do anything to get higher. Reaching his dominant arm up Yuri understood that he hadn't quite made it high enough to reach for it but Yuri knew how he was surviving.
Shinji leapt from his bike getting to the edge of the elevated street nearly falling off from the edge reaching out barely managing to grab Yuri's hand.
Yuri smirked despite dangling dozens of feet in the air. "It's like I thought. This one's the sentimental type." He boasted in his head tightening his grip pulling himself up from Shinji onto the road itself.
Shinji pushed himself up. "Are you insane?!" Shinji spat glaring at Yuri.
"Actually I wanna ask you the same question. Saving your enemy how stupid could you be? I swear all the people my other slef surrounds himself with have the same idiotic beliefs." Yuri spoke gesturing with his hands to exemplify his befuddlement.
"Trust me I don't deserve to be compared to Yuya." Shinji said looking down. "Its now my job to keep things peaceful in this dimension but I won't lose my self in blind hatred i'll give you one more chance to come quietly." Shinji said raising his head to look Yuri in his eyes speaking with determination.
Yuri groaned. "These people just don't get it." He thought to himself aggravation growing in him.
The synchro officer and the former fusion soldier stared at each other for a few moments. The road began to lightly tremble.
"Good." Yuri thought to himself. Yuri pulled a card out from a separate compartment of his deck. "Do you know what this card is?" Yuri asked smiling sweetly throwing down a spell card.
A violet flash illuminated the street causing Shinji to divert his vision to not get blinded.
"What was that? Did he change dimensions?" Shinji thought to himself irritated.
As the light subsided Shinji widened his eyes jumping back as a large truck possible for moving furniture passed him on the street.
As Shinji's eyes followed it he recognized a figure dressed in purple a top it.
"The hell." The officer muttered jumping back onto his bike bursting off to follow the truck.
"Hm he's already following. He's got good instincts people usually take longer to figure out violet flash. Still doesn't matter." Yuri thought to himself in calculating manner from atop the vehicle. He then rolled from his spot from its edge to near the front.
The driver side window was open the hair of the driver slightly moving from the passing air. Suddenly a boy with purple and pink hair was outside the window his head upside down from the top of the truck.
"H-Huh!?" The man blurted.
Yuri's eyes squinted in a callous glare. "Drive." The predator said coolly causing the driver to break out in a sweat only nodding his head hastily as a response.
Yuri pulled himself back upright a top the moving vehicle his vibrant hair rushing from the strong wind. "This is damn annoying!" Yuri complained out loud placing his right hand over his left shoulder popping his back. "But this can't be avoided I'll squash this bug and try and find something more interesting." He complained.
Shinji's bike raced after the truck by now he was only ten feet behind. "Crap since he's not on a d-wheel I can't put him in a forced duel! The street should redirect to a blockade but this acrobatic punk will just escape again beating him in a duel is the only way to stop him long enough to catch him!" Shinji said to himself his frustration boiling.
A helicopter soared dozens of feet above the current chase a women wearing close reminiscent of a cowgirls stood at its door holding a microphone and a camera near here.
"Melisa Claire here. We've got quite the chase for you today folks! The chief of sector security Shinji Weber is personally pursuing a perp who's commandeered a vehicle without even stealing it." Melisa states staring at the camera playing up the drama of the situation. She turned her head to the situation and then blinked rabidly her expression changing in shock. "Wait is he pursuing Yuya Sakaki!?!!" The woman shrieked the camera focusing on Yuri.
A home in the commons.
Crow Hogan was placing food on a table several kids where sitting at it more then Crow had before.
"Man I gotta start turning away strays." Crow said rubbing the back of his head. He then turned to the counter a small tv was there and on it was playing the news. Crows eyes went slightly wide.
"Yuya?" The common gasped.
Another location in the commons.
Yugo was sitting at a small table holding a slightly rusted knife and fork in each hand. "Come on Rin I'm hungry." The banana haired duelist wined.
"Geez are you a kid? How did you even survive without me?" Rin chided entering the room with two plates with cooked meals on them.
"Yeah, yeah keep on nagging I missed that side of you too." Yugo said happily digging in.
Rin gained a beat red blush and began to do the same in a more subdued manner.
A small television that was being used for background noise flipped channels for a news broadcast cast.
Yugo tilted his head to get a look dropping his fork. His eyes widened and his pupils shook with anger.
Rin looked to Yugo and then the screen her expression going pale. "No..." she muttered.
Yugo got up the levity and joy the boy usually carried himself with was gone he grabbed his helmet and was about to exit the room.
Rin got up herself grabbing Yugo by the wrist her fellow common turning his head to her.
"What?!" Yugo spat his tone furious.
Rin recoiled and Yugo's face softened. "Yugo, I want revenge just as bad as you but, can we really beat that guy?" Rin said looking to him.
Yugo grit his teeth looking to the ground. He clenched his fist the memories of his climactic duel with the predator flashing in his head. "I couldn't do anything." The synchro counterpart muttered solemnly. "Even with the help of those two I didn't stand a chance." Yugo said the words hurting as they came out more memories welling up of when Edo and Kaito assisted him and they all still ended up facing a defeat that nearly led to the destruction of the dimensions.
Yugo turned his head slowly his eyes locking onto the screen. It currently displaying Yuri standing atop the truck. Yugo's eyes twitched.
Back at the street.
Shinji's D-Wheel purred. Shinji could catch up to the truck if he wanted but he knew that didn't matter. "What the hell am I supposed to do!?" Shinji grunted with frustration. "Why did take this job in the first place." He muttered weakly.
Shortly after the defeat of Zarc
Shinji stood within the Hall of dominion before the Administrative Council of Neo Domino city.
"Welcome Shinji Weber. I am glad you could make it today." White Taki said speaking with his ever present grin that was both inviting as well as eerie.
Shinji frowned. "Why did you call for me?" Shinji said more demanding than asking.
"Speak with more respect Mister Weber." Azul chided.
Shinji's grimace increased. "Just explain!" The common shouted.
"I do not like your tone. But as you wish." Gael says.
"As you know after the exploits of Yuya Sakaki in the Friendship Cup there has been a new found inspiration for equality amongst Commons and Tops." Bordeaux explained.
"Yes and with us in need of a new leader of Sector Security after the betrayal of Rodget giving the role to a Common seemed to be a good step." Grey said.
Shinji's eyes widen and looks to the ground. "If you're looking for a Common wouldn't Crow be better?" Shinji asked his body shaking.
"Yes!" White Taki chirped happily. "We in fact offered this position to him first." White Taki explained happily.
"Huh!?" Shinji blurted in surprise.
"Yet he sadly turned down the position. He was truly the ideal man for the position a semi finalist in the most recent Friendship Cup one of are dimensions best. But he said no and we can't do much about that." White Takj said sounding slightly more somber than usual but his smile remained set.
"So I'm your second choice?" Shinji said.
"Oh you do not need to sound so disappointed you still made it to the second round and lost to the winner of tgr entire tournament your obviously a very skilled duelist. At least qualfied to lead Sector Security's officers." White Taki praised. "Aswell Crow Hogan may be better respected as a duelist but as a representative for the Commons you are by far the best choice. With your many, stunts. For the sake of getting the Commons better treatment." White Taki added choosing his words carefully.
"Your attempted rebellion." Bordeaux interjected.
Shinji breathed in and out. "Quit trying to butter me up! Dont think I even want this job! Your officers treated me and my fellow Conmons like trash my entire life! Why would I want a job like that!" Shinji cried out.
"Hmm yes. You owe this city nothing you especially you owe the Tops nothing and you certainly owe us nothing. But your a kind person." White Taki said.
"What?!" Shinji yelled in suprise.
"You've been fighting for the rights of Commons all this time and I know you'd rather keep fighting then give up because of old wounds." White Taki said.
Shinji looked to the floor he grit his teeth clenched his he would've drawn blood if it wasn't for his gloves.
"What do you say Mr. Weber?" White Taki asked.
Present day.
Shinji's D-Wheel reved louder then before. "Even if im just here to fill a quota I'll do my best with this position and steer Neo Domino towards a better future." Shinji declared to himself in thought looking up to Yuri's location atop the truck.
Yuri's duel disk activated it's blade extending a purple glow illuminating where Yuri stood.
"Your buzzing has gotten annoying enough to warrant being swatted. At least attemp to be entertaining for the short while you'll last." Yuri said his tone neutral.
"Dont underestimate me!" Shinji barked tge duel disk on his D-wheel activating.
"DUEL!" They both say Shinji loud and determined Yuri seemingly uninterested.

"I'll start! I draw!" Shinji yelled. "I summon Battlewasp - Arrowhead the Seeker!" Shinji said.

Synchro Summon level 5 Battlewasp - Azusa the Ghost Bow!" Shinji chanted as a femine wasp that was both white and purple weilding a bow appeared.

"My turn I draw." Yuri said unenthused. "I'll atleast praise you for using some unique cards. But bugs really? The best you got?" Yuri said playing up confusion.
"Underestimate my cards all you wants. Bugs may be weak on there own but together they'll stop you!" Shinji shouted.
"Well if your that confident I hope you dont mind if I start a little ruff." Yuri said slyly smirking with a twinge of anticipation. "I summon my Predaplant Camellia Chameleon!" Yuri said as a plant like chameleon with yellow and pink highlights appeared on his field.

"That doesnt save your monster fool." Yuri interjects as Dragostapelia crushes Azusa.

"Tch!" Shinji grunted.
"Now I end my turn." Yuri said clearly bored.
"My move I draw! When ever I control an insect I can special summon this monster from my hand! Here's another Pin the Bullseye!" Shinji explained.

"Yeah I tune my Stripes the Sickel with my three Pin the Bullseye. Use your wings to make a storm follow its ways, with your poleaxe open a way to the truth! Synchro Summon! Come, Battlewasp - Halberd the Charge!" Shinji chanted as a large insect weilding a halberd appeared on rhe field.

"My monsters stronger? But I assume you must have sone sort if effect to remidy that?" Yuri said lazily.

"Turn end. Now can you at least manage to make your struggling entertaining?" Yuri asked annoyed.
"Gah! I draw!" Shinji shouted. "Damn I haven't managed a thing I need a stronger monster to conquer his fusion monster." Shinji thought to himself filled with frustration.
"I should wrap this up soon. The longer I toy with this bug the longer the law enforcement of this dimension has a chance to cut me off." Yuri thought to himself.
"Now I play Battlewasp Reborn with this card I get to bring back a Battlewasp monster from my grave with out its effects." Shinji states.

"When Hama is summoned using a Synchro monster it gains a second attack. Now Hama the Conquering Bow! Destroy his Dragostapelia!" Shinji ordered his monster firing an arrow from its bow towards Dragostapelia.
"Hm, good job." Yuri said neutral faced with a slow clab. "You may destroy my monster but It won't get to keep it's effect. Dragostapelia will use it's effect to place a Preda counter on your Hama." Yuri said before Dragostapelia was destroyed.

"Somone upset?" Yuri mocked with a smirk.

"I mean it's kind of hard not to with me up here and you down there." Yuri said smiling pointing to his elavated position above the truck to Shinji's lower one on his D-Wheel
"Shut it! I-I end my turn." Shinji snaped.
"He's so easy to rile up." Yuri thought to himself then drawing a card before sighing. Yuri looks to his hand of cards his other hand stroking his chin. "Alright this works." Yuri said to himseif.
Shinji grit his teeth. "He's not even taking this seriously!" Shinji seethed. Shinji breethed in then out. "No I make that my advantage." Shinji muttered to himself memories of the glares he had gotten from Tops and Sector Security flashing in his head. Shinji gained a determined look.
"Don't look down on me. This for us all."
"My move I play Predapractice this card allows me to special summon a Predaplant monster from my hand. Come out Predaplant Philodendron Viper." Yuri said still nonchalant as a plant like viper slithered onto his field.

"WHAT!" Shinji blurted his bike going a little unsteady from shock.
"Carnivorous beast, venomous serpant and insect conquering merge. Now become the dragonic king of all plants rein and cast judgement on your prey. With your almoghty power. Fusion summon. Level 9 Predaplant Triphyovertum." Yuri chants lacking his usual energy as a massive three headed pant dragon emerged from the fusion spiral.

"Now Triphyovertum attack him directly." Yuri commanded as his massive beast flapped it's wings making the air around them even more intense then furing three dark purple beams from it's three mouths onto Shinji nearly blasting him off the street.

"GAH!!" Shinji loudly grunted desperately trying to straighten out his D-Wheel.
At Crows home.
Crows face dropped the children around him getting scared at the sight of there caretakers horror.
"Damn I should've just taken the job! Shinji... Don't die!" Crow said clenching his fist and gritting his teeth.
Back at the street.
Melissa Claire's helicopter flew in the air slightly off tilter from the force of the solid vision that made up Yuri's monster.
"Wowie folks Shinji Weber has been nearly taken out! Lets hope are new chief of sector security can bounce back and win this duel." Melisa said struggling to stand on the helicopters rim as it readjusted.
Shinji continued to struggle with the wheel until he finally was able to get back the bike back to being straight.
"Turn end. Go on struggle. Do what you can on your last turn. Bug." Yuri said still ominously uninterested.
"Thats it keep looking down on me you'll be shocked soon." Shinji thought to himself. "My turn I draw! I banish the Battlewasp Reborn in my graveyard to resurrect a Battlewasp in my grave though that monster will be banished when it leaves the field. Return to my field Azusa the Ghost Bow!" Shinji states.

"Oh I thought you'd summon a stronger monster." Yuri added.
"Unnecessary I play Battlewasp Drone this card becomes a monster with both zero attack and defense points but it has a level of my choosing." Shinji explained.

"There's something you should know about my Azusa it's both a Synchro monster and a Tuner monster." Shinji explained.
"Hm!" Yuri hummed with a twinge of expectation.
"I tune my Battlewasp Drone with my Azusa the Ghost Bow! Tear down the wall of the haughty villains with the power or our gatbered bonds! Synchro Summon! Appear now, Level 12! Battlewasp - Ballista the Armageddon!" Shinji chanted as a massive metalic red wasp with a ginormous stinger with a missle on its back alongside thrusters.

Yuri let out a whistle. "Well im shocked you actually managed to suprise me, and bring out some worthy prey as well. Well done." Yuri praised genuinely yet still condescending.
"When Ballista the Armageddon is special summoned I banish all the insect monsters in my grave and your monster loses five hundred attack and defense points fir each that is banished!" Shinji shouted.
"Oh~" Yuri grined.
"My Battlewasp Halberd the Charge, Hama the Conquering Bow, three Pin the Bullseye's, Arrowhead the Seeker, Sting the Poison, Arbalest the Raidfire, Stripes the Sickle! Thats nine monsters so it loses 4500 attack points!" Shinji explained as Ballista the Armageddeon blast a green laser from it's top spike.

"You've done it! Go for Shinji!" Crow happily yelled with a wide smile shocking the kids around him.

"DO IT!!!" Yugo screamed at the small television pumping his fist in the air.
"Has he done it?" Rin asked herself.

"Move in." A man with long dark red hair that went up and parted up into tufts and also his hair wearing a green vest with a grey undershirt with a white tie said looking to a women on a computer who began to type fiercely.
Back at the street
"Not bad." Yuri complimented. "But not good enough! I banish the Predaplant Cordyceps in my grave to summon two predaplant monsters from my grave. Now revive both Predaplant Flytrap and Philodendon Viper!" Yuri explained show noticbly more excitement.

"But what does it's level matter?!" Shinji asked annoyence and worry bubbling up.
"It matters because of my Triphyovertum effect. It gains the attack points of all monsters with Preda counter." Yuri explained.
"What?!?" Shinji gasped.

"That makes are monsters equals." Yuri states the obvious.
"Damn! Ballista the Armageddon! Continue your attack!" Shinji called as there two monsters clash and destroy each other.
Yuri's eyes widen slightly in confusion. "Really?" The fusion weilder uttered.
"When Ballista the Armegeddon is destroyed by one of my opponents monsters I get to summon three of my banished monsters." Shinji explained shocked.

"Now Halberd destroy his Philodendron Viper!" The officer commanded his bug crushing the plant like snake.
"Heh impressive." Yuri noted with a sniker.
"NOW Hama the Conquering Bow! Attack him directly and end this duel!" Shinji roared as his monster unleashed a volley of arrows in Yuri's direction.
As the arrows approached Yuri he began to, break out into laughter.
"Hehhahahahehha." Yuri laughed nearly doubling ocer clutching his sides.
"Huh!" Shinji blurted.
"Oh ok you,ve done it! This was fun." Yuri said wiping a tear from his eye why still fighting off laughter.
"What! Don't act like your in control you,ve lost this duel." Shinji grunted.
"Aww it's cute you thought you stood a chance. Why I wouldn't call this a challenge you were able to fight back enough to make this a littke fun." Yuri explained.
"Shut it what are you even saying!" Shinji growled.
"I'm the worst kind of opponent for you. Your just a little bug who wandered into the jaw of a venus flytrap." Yuri said slowly like a predator stalking his prey.
Shinji felt a shiver go up his spine as he broke out into a cold sweat.
"I play the quick play spell Chimera Fusion! This card allows me to perform a fusion summon on either of our turns now with my Predaplant Pterapenthes and Spinodiona I fusion summon. Two beautiful flowers with an insect-alluring fragrance! Now become one, amd from the hell beneath your petals, give birth to new terror! Fusion summon! Appear! Poisonous dragon woth hungry fangs level 8 Starving Venom fusion dragon!" Yuri chants as his trusty hunting partner takes to the field.

"My turn~" Yuri grined his hair flaping in the wind. "Starving Venom Fusion Dragon. End it." Yuri ordered his partners wings extending with energy then destroying Shinji's Hama.

"GAHH!!!" Shinji screamed being blasted off his bike amd nearly off the street.
Yuri looked on as Shinji was sent flying. It wasnt quite the feeling of nothing Yuri had felt when defeating Sector Security but it was far off how Yuto and Shun had managed to make him feel.
"Not enough." Yuri muttered then looking to the other side of the truck noticing several sector security officers with Goyo Emperors summoned.
"He may of defeated the Chief but the rest of Sector Security has come to stop his escape!" Mellisa Claire said into her camera.
"Well that's a problem." Yuri said nonchalantly rolling his eyes.
Yuri continued to stare at the oncoming blockade until the street slightly ahead of the truck opened up.
Yuri shrugged. "Well lets not throw away blessing." Yuri said to himself leaping off the truck into the opening.
Finally done. This one was a lot of work.
Sorry for the long wait but I'm becoming busier as of late leaving me less time to write.
Excuses out of the way we've concluded are first chapter in the Synchro dimension and Yuri has realized what I've been building to throughout the story.
I don't think it's a drastic character shift especially considering his reaction to losing to Yuya
So yes at this point Yuri has become invested in dueling actual challenges instead of just crushing fodder.
Now I know that many people probably didn't care to much about Yuri's opponent Shinji in this chapter but he is one of my favorite arc v original characters and I also wanted to take advantage of this being post the main series by developing how things have changed since the main series.
