Hello everyone!
Instead of our regularly scheduled random chapter, I have decided to take part in the season of spookiness and write you a Halloween special! Because why not! Everyone loves
Halloween except for the people that don't! If you don't like Halloween then please go on ahead to the next chapter, or if there isn't a chapter kindly await the posting of the next chapter X3
Without further ado, I present to you my readers…
"Trick or Sniffle"
Several several years ago, before the espionage of Beacon Academy and Ruby's journey into the kingdom of Vale, she was an adorable little wolf girl. Now this wolf girl, having been known as Ruby (of course), was rather mischievous and fast. Her ability to round corners and then disappear when being chased was unmatched in the dark gloomy castle that was her home.
Cinder was just warming up to the girl when Halloween began rolling around, a human holiday for dressing up as monsters and pestering people for candy and sweets. At least that is what everyone celebrated today, there were some interesting stories about the past and what happened on this particular evening.
But that didn't matter right now, what did matter was the fact that Ruby and Cinder had concocted the perfect plan in which to squeeze some delicious sweets out of Salem. It involved a particularly large amount of glitter, a small fluffy costume, and a lesson in puppy eyes.
That last part was very important and crucial for if their plan failed and just irritated Salem. Ruby was prepared, her costume was a fluffy Ursa with a hood that was just a little too big for her head. It kept falling over her eyes and making her run into things.
Now Salem was doing what Salem always did on a nice cool evening like this where nothing was going wrong and no diabolical planning was required. She was sitting with a steaming mug at her side and an old book in her hands, a pair of spectacles adorned her face.
A small spattering of giggling could be heard just outside the room followed by much hushing and whispering. Shutting her book with a rather loud sigh, Salem put it onto the table and looked towards the doors with an almost exhausted expression on her face. Raising Ruby had been extremely taxing on her mental health, raising any kid would but the wolf girl was somehow far worse.
Maybe it had to do with the fact that she was part grimm and practically a chimera in that regard, a gremlin who seemed to have boundless energy and never stopped to rest. At first she had been very cute, adorable even, but with the realization that she could run as she got older… well… lets just say the castle with many pointed crystals had to be baby proofed.
The doors burst open and what could only be described as a wall of black, orange, and purple glitter spilled forward. It got everywhere. There was not a surface in the room not covered by the typhoon… the hurricane… the disaster that is glitter.
Ruby and Cinder came sliding into the room to meet the gaze of a now fuming Salem, magic crackling around her fingers. Rising from her chair she was about to yell at the girls when… she was stopped by an impossible to stop force.
Puppy dog eyes.
The mistress of all evil, queen of the grimm, ruler of magic, empress of the dark lands, many other titles I can't remember at the moment as I write a short special, was stopped in her tracks by the moon like silver eyes that seemed to tear up on command for this moment. A small sniffling could be heard, Cinder having taught her well in the art of sucking up to people so they wouldn't get mad at them.
Long story short, candy corn was obtained and the glitter storm was forgiven on the grounds that it would never be allowed in the castle again.
No glitter was harmed in the making of this special
This was purposely short and simple, giving just a little insight into Ruby's childhood as a daughter of grimm and Salem.\
Happy Halloween!
