~ Time / Place ~
Chapter 1: The kunoichi who became a mage
"Eugh... where am I?" Naruko Uzumaki moaned softly, slowly opening her eyes.
Naruko is a fifteen-year-old girl, with slightly tanned skin, golden blonde hair that falls to her shoulders, a size D chest, bright blue eyes, three whisker marks on each side of her cheeks. She wears pants, and a simple gray jacket, torn, damaged and without shoes.
"You're finally awake, Kit!" A voice growled.
Naruko was surprised to hear a voice, one she recognized. It wasn't hearing it that surprised her, but the fact that it came from outside her mind.
She looks up and sees a black-furred fox with piercing red eyes and nine tails, sitting on a white sheet where she was lying.
"Kurama?" Naruko asked after a moment of hesitation, unsure if it was the same fox she knew.
"Yes, it's me! It seems your crazy idea has worked!" Said the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox.
Shaking her head again, Naruko sat up looking around, noticing that they were in a room that looked like a single bedroom.
"Does that mean we managed to escape from that bastard Hiruko?" Naruko said hopefully, not caring where she was, as long as she was finally away from that psychopathic dwarf, after he treated her like a lab rat for 2 years.
She remembered how it happened. After failing to retrieve Sasuke, she had been brought back to the village by Kakashi and had spent several days in the hospital, until Jiraiya offered to spend two and a half years traveling with him so she could become stronger. She had immediately accepted, thinking that with the training of one of the greatest ninjas in the world, she would become strong enough to bring back Sasuke.
But within a few months, she soon regretted her choice. The self-proclaimed super pervert had only given her some basics on Chakra control and Genjutsu dispelling before leaving to spy on women in the public baths. He explained that she had to first improve her chakra control, which was terrible, before getting down to business. Naruko found it useless, as it took her way too much time, whereas if she learned techniques, she could improve her chakra control during exercise, such as water walking or Rasengan.
She quickly realized that she wouldn't learn much with Jiraiya, preferring to do his vices rather than help him. She then summoned the toads to ask them to train her, but they just told her to be patient and listen to Jiraiya before returning to their world.
Then one day, while Jiraiya was still away for his research, Naruko had faced three people in strange outfits, who wanted to capture her to take her to a guy with the appearance of a mummy, named Hiruko, to be his new guinea pig. Naruko had obviously tried to defend herself, but having almost no real training from the Sannin of the Toads, she did not last long, even with the chakra of Kyûbi and was captured.
For two years, she had undergone many experiments to the point that she had lost the count after the 103rd test. The pain was excruciating and incomparable to anything she had experienced before, but she had not succumbed to madness or despair and held on, until she found a way to escape.
This happened thanks to the help of Kyûbi, whose real name is Kurama. The two years in isolation allowed him to talk with the fox and become friends with him to the point that he told him his real name and what had really happened the night he attacked.
She had combined her father's Detection ability with her Magic Circuit, which she had obtained during one of Hiruko's experiments, where he had put a strange golden orb in her body, which had the effect of destroying her Chakra circulatory system, in favor of a new one, called Magic Circuit. Thanks to the combination of her two abilities, she had managed to find a place where people had the same energy as her and with Kurama's ability to reappear every time he was killed, they had used all of the latter's chakra to not only destroy the place, like a bomb, but also to immediately reappear in the place that Naruko had spotted.
It was very dangerous and there was a high chance of failure, but in the end, she was free.
"I don't know where we are, but certainly very far from the Elemental Nations! But for some reason, my chakra has become like yours. Even my appearance has changed" Kurama growled seeing that his hair, once orange, has become black.
While this doesn't change the fact that he could still respawn whenever he or his host is killed, it does annoy him to have a different energy, forcing him to revisit his techniques, such as the Biju-Dama.
"So? Isn't that for the best? If we're not in the Elemental Nations, I don't have to worry about the Akatsuki hunting me and you don't have to worry about being locked up again." The blonde pointed out.
"And what about all your so-called friends? Won't you miss them and what about your promise to bring the Uchiha back to the pink harpy?" Kurama asked curiously.
"I was imprisoned and experimented on for two years and no one came looking for me, I doubt they even tried to find me! And that promise became void when Sasuke stuck a Chidori into my chest. As far as I'm concerned, the pedo-snake can take the Teme's body, I don't care at all." Naruko replied coldly.
Kurama narrowed his eyes to her. "When did you get the ability to think before you speak?"
"Around the same time, I had the memories, powers, and abilities of the Knight King forcibly implanted in me." Naruko stated, remembering that Hiruko was very fond of talking and had said that he had found the orb in ancient ruin, older than the Rikudo Sennin's time.
That was the reason he wanted her, because of her Uzumaki body, which could handle a great deal of energy and adaptation. Originally, he wanted to put it inside him, but the orb had rejected him immediately because of their incompatibility. So, he came up with the idea of using it to make her compatible before taking her body, like Orochimaru wanted to do with Sasuke.
But unfortunately for him, the idea that she could escape thanks to the experiments he had made her undergo, had never occurred to him.
Aside from her chakra changing to Magic, nothing else had changed about her, except for one thing under her lower abdomen…
But it wasn't the same for her mental. After receiving the orb, she had started having strange blurry visions, like memories. It wasn't clear, but she had realized that they were the memories of a person, named Artoria Pendragon, the King of Knights.
After her death, Merlin had removed her memories, powers, knowledge, and abilities into an orb and hidden in a cave, but not before enchanting the orb where only someone with the qualities of a worthy king could have it. His goal was for someone worthy of Artoria's powers to save the kingdom once again, or even the entire world, instead of using it for selfish or cruel reasons.
This was the reason why Hiruko couldn't absorb the orb, because even though he was an excellent leader, he wasn't a good king and even if he had managed to take his body, the orb would have withdrawn.
Thanks to Artoria's memory, Naruko had become more thoughtful and calmer. The time she waited for help to come get her made her realize that the people in Konoha didn't care enough about her, even as much as Jinchūriki, to risk their own lives, but instead of crying or getting angry, she had become indifferent. She preferred to find a way to escape and be truly free, rather than thinking of people who only hurt her or ignored her.
Kurama remains silent for a moment before speaking again. "Alright! Now we need to know where we are!"
Naruko nodded, but before she could get up, the door opened and a young woman in her twenties, wearing a black dress entered the room, followed by a rather older man.
"You're awake, good! We were worried when we found you in the crater!" The woman said cheerfully.
Naruko was slightly surprised when the older woman spoke to her. Not that Naruko didn't understand her, but because she didn't speak in her native language, but the one in her memories.
"Did you hear me?" the young blonde asked, seeing that her limbs were covered in bandages.
The man nodded. "Yes, this is Sister Lily, she is the one who treated your injuries. You were asleep for two days. I am Father Orsi Orfai." The man introduced.
A slight blush appeared on Naruko's face, imagining the older woman seeing her naked. She quickly erased the image from her mind and replied. "Thank you. I am Uzumaki Naruko."
"That's a strange name? You're not from the Clover Kingdom?" Orsi asked, raising an eyebrow in confusion.
"I don't know of any kingdom called Clover. I'm from the Elemental Nations. Perhaps you know of it?" Naruko replied.
The two religious people look at each other for a moment before shaking their heads.
"That doesn't mean anything to us, but we can try to look for that place." Orsi suggested.
But to her and Lily's surprise, Naruko shook her head. "No need, I don't plan on going back."
"Oh, okay. If you don't mind, what magic did you use to get here?" Orsi asked curiously.
"I don't know. I was escaping from a group of criminals, when the light appeared before everything went black." Naruko lied, knowing that it wouldn't be smart to have his abilities raised by unknown people, even if they healed him.
If there's one thing she learned during her captivity, it's that she shouldn't trust just anyone. Mizuki manipulated her into stealing the Forbidden Scroll, Sasuke nearly killed her, and it was because of Jiraiya's lack of vigilance that she was captured to be used as a guinea pig.
"It's curious, but I'm sure it must be the act of god that brought you here to save you." Said the sister.
"Well, I think it would be nice to introduce you to the…" Orsi began before being stopped by a loud voice.
"FATHER ORSI! IS SHE AWAKE?!" The person shouted before abruptly entering the room.
Naruko blinked several times at the energetic boy in front of her, but before she could say anything, the boy continued.
"NICE TO MEET YOU! I AM ASTA, THE FUTURE MAGE EMPEROR! WHEN I HEARD YOU FELL FROM THE SKY, I THOUGHT YOU WERE AN ANGEL! IS THAT TRUE? CAN YOU GROW WINGS? CAN YOU GLOW?" The boy exclaimed in excitement as his eyes glowed.
"Looks like a mix of you and that guy with a big eyebrow!" Kurama said amusedly, communicating in the blonde's mind, in order to avoid panicking with the others and having explained why he's talking.
"Asta, calm down. Uzumaki just regained consciousness and is in a place she doesn't know." Lily lightly reprimanded.
"It's nothing, but it's not the point of calling me by my name, you can just use my first name and address me informally." The blonde asked, never having liked formalities.
"Oh, sorry. I thought Uzumaki was your first name, like it was before Naruko." Lily explained.
*So, when people introduce themselves, they say their first name first and then their last name. * Naruko thought, finding it a bit strange, but it must have been because of the difference in culture.
"Thank you for taking care of me. I'll take the time to recover my strength and then I'll leave so I don't bother you anymore." Naruko thanked, lowering her head slightly.
"You're not bothering us. It's perfectly normal for us to come and help people, but do you know where you're going?" Father Orsi asked, seeing that the girl didn't know the area.
"I have no idea, but I can manage." Naruko replied, being able to take care of herself since she was a child, whether it was for food or clothes.
"Why don't you stay here until you figure out what to do. You'll have somewhere to sleep and eat." Orsi suggested, not wanting to leave the girl to fend for herself in an unfamiliar place.
"That's nice, but I don't want to disturb you!" the young blonde said quickly.
"Not at all and if you want to pay us back, you can help us with the cleaning and watch the younger children." Lily replied to this time with a smile.
"You should accept. Until we know where we are and what to do." Kurama added, knowing it was better to have a safe place to gather information.
Naruko remains silent for a moment before finally nodding. "Alright, I accept."
"Great, we have a new member in the family!" the boy yelled in excitement.
"Asta, Naruko stays with us until she figures out what to do." Lily said.
Naruko chuckled in amusement before thinking. *Maybe this new life isn't so bad. *
She no longer lived with villagers who looked at her badly or insulted her for something she had no choice. She no longer needed to worry about being captured by a criminal organization. She would no longer be betrayed or manipulated by others.
She was finally free to do whatever she wanted.
~A few weeks later~
It's been a while now since Naruko lived in the village orphanage/church and as promised, she had helped the group with their household chores and learning where she landed.
First, she had discovered that people didn't use chakra, but an energy called magic, the same one she possesses now.
Unlike chakra where it took training to be able to awaken and practice it, anyone who had magic could use it, as simply as breathing. So, it was not surprising for them to see a child using flames or wind at a young age.
However, even though all of them could use magic, they could only know one affinity, unlike a shinobi who can usually have two or three, but instead of only having water, fire, earth, wind or lightning, mages had various affinities, such as cloth magic or seed magic.
But while everyone had magic, Asta was the exception. No one knew why, much less that it was possible.
Father Orsi and Sister Lily had told her that she was in the Cover Kingdom, one of the four on this continent along with the Spade, Heart, and Diamond Kingdoms. They had also told her that the Clover Kingdom was divided into three regions: the Noble Lands, the Flat Lands, and the Forsaken Lands.
The Noble Lands were where the royal family, the nobles and those with great magical power were. Then the Flat Lands where the middle class were, who had magic neither too weak nor too great. And finally, the Forsaken Lands where they were, more precisely in the village Hadge and unlike the two previous ones, most of the people who live in these lands are poor and have weak magical power.
Needless to say, Naruko was disgusted by this ranking.
There was a similar hierarchy in the village between civilians and Shinobi where the latter had better prices, care and priority teams, but again, the Shinobi had to protect the civilians if there was an invasion and risked their lives in missions to fund the village.
Although when they told her that most nobles saw the others as commoners who only deserve their contempt, Naruko couldn't help but compare them to the clans of her village, in some family members saw themselves superior to others because of their family names or their techniques, especially the Hyûga and the Uchiha, when the latter were still alive.
When she met the rest of the church members, Naruko quickly became friendly with the children, unlike Kurama, who was annoyed whenever the children wanted to have fun with him, forcing him to return to Naruko's body to be left alone.
There was one person Naruko had a hard time getting close to though, and that was Yuno. The boy reminded her too much of Sasuke because of his appearance and indifferent expression. Luckily, she had quickly noticed that those were the only similarities. Unlike Sasuke, Yuno willingly helped people and talked with others, except maybe Asta, but Naruko could see that despite what he wanted to appear, Yuno really cared about his adopted brother.
He had often asked her about her place of origin and had offered to participate in physical activities. If it had been before her capture, Naruko would have gladly participated, but now, she took things more seriously and wanted to set an example for others.
That didn't mean she didn't encourage him to continue his dream of becoming a Mage Emperor, even if he didn't have magic. Seeing her own reflection with her old dream of becoming Hokage when everyone said she would never get there. She had given Asta some advice on training, which she had received when she was at the academy, even if it wasn't much, since the teachers avoided teaching him much, for fear that the demon would regain his powers.
Those few days spent with the orphans were the best times of her life. The food and the bed were not of better quality, but it was better than in her old apartment. She did not need to have an eye open if someone attacked her in her sleep. Moreover, unlike the villagers, the people here were friendly to her and the children came to her to play together.
Currently, the former kunoichi is standing inside a tower with the church members and a hundred people from most of the village. The wall was covered with various grimoires, of different colors and sizes. From what they told her, today was the Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony. An event that happens every year where young people who turn 15 receive their grimoire.
Naruko had changed out of her guinea pig/prisoner outfit to a dress similar to Sister Lily's, minus the bonnet. Although Naruko wanted to wear something more ordinary for the fight and to protect her, she didn't complain, knowing that they were making an effort to make her feel welcome, even if they didn't have much money.
When Naruko had learned that it was necessary for a mage to have a grimoire to cast spells, she had been surprised. She couldn't understand how a book allowed them to have new techniques. From her point of view, you had to observe and learn from others to perform a technique. They told her that when a new spell appeared in the grimoire, it was natural for them to use it, as if they had always known how to practice it.
Among the crowd stands Asta and Yuno. The former seems about to burst with enthusiasm and the latter remains unfazed. They had explained to him that having their grimoires was the first step to becoming a Mage Emperor.
"Don't you want to try to get a grimoire big sister Naru?" One of the young girls from the church named Recca asked curiously, making Naruko stop in her thoughts.
The children had accepted Naruko among them very quickly, even treating her like their big sister and naming her Naru, which had deeply touched the former kunoichi, since the children of the Konoha orphanage avoided her like the plague and made fun of her. It was not only the children, but the adults also treated her like a member of the village, even if she had only been here for a short time.
In just a few days, people accepted her, something she had never managed to do in her home village.
This makes her realize that if she is able to bond with people so easily, why did she stay in a village where no one wanted her? She could have left and found a place where people would accept her.
Well, she had never thought about it before. The idea of leaving the village to have a better life had never crossed her mind…
Or more accurately, the idea that something worse could happen to her outside made her stop. Sure, after what she had been through, it seems stupid, but at the time she was just a child and over time, she had gotten used to people's scorn and loneliness.
But now that she was free and accepted by people, she was never going to go back.
"I don't think they're for me, after all, I'm not from here." Naruko explained.
From the memories she received, Artoria had never used a grimoire to cast a spell. So why would she need one?
She had trained a little to control her magic and managed to make light appear on her entire body or part of it, revealing at the same time her type of magic. However, she still had not managed to reproduce her ninjutsu with her magic, except to walk on water, but there again, it is thanks to the ability she received thanks to the orb, that Artoria had had by the Lady of the Lake.
She was stopped in her thoughts when she saw an old mage wearing a robe and a brown hat arrive, descending into the air thanks to a magic carpet.
"Welcome to all the pretenders. I am the master of the Grimoire Tower, Drouot. Until now, no one in this village has managed to become a Knight-Mage, much less a Mage-Emperor. I hope that one of you will manage to become a Mage-Emperor one day... I AM VERY SERIOUS!" He said, yelling at the end, obtaining silence from everyone.
*Something tells me that old man dreamed of becoming a Mage Knight, but didn't succeed. * Naruko thought with a drop of sweat on her forehead.
"Where are his colleagues from the other towers already have Mage Knights and he is the only one where the villagers failed to become?" Kurama added, who was currently in his host's body.
"And now, let us award the grimoires!" Drouot finished.
The next moment, the grimoires began to glow, then float in the air before descending towards the young mages. Most were happy to receive their grimoire, but some were making faces, either because their grimoire was smaller than the others or didn't have many pages.
"Say… where's my grimoire?" Asta asked, in a pose as if he was waiting to receive something from the sky.
This caught everyone's attention, who stared at Asta in silence for a moment before bursting into laughter.
"Seriously, I've never seen that!"
"He has no magic, so don't be surprised that he doesn't have a grimoire!"
"Waste is still waste!"
Naruko gritted her teeth in anger as she saw people making fun of Asta. It was like when she failed her exam three times at the academy. The other kids were making fun of her, while the teachers didn't say anything or participate.
She was sorely tempted to punch each of them.
"You know that wouldn't help matters and wouldn't cheer the kid up!" The black fox warned.
*I know, but it pisses me off to see them making fun of Asta, when he didn't do anything to deserve it! *
However, the laughter stops when they see the grimoire Yuno is holding, which shines like thousands of fireflies grouped together, causing silence in the room.
"A four-leaf clover!" Drouot said in shock, shocking everyone in the room except Naruko, who looked at the others in confusion.
" Amazing! "
"It's impossible!"
"How can a commoner have a grimoire similar to the one in the legend!"
"I never thought I would see this!"
"A four-leaf clover! Like the first Mage Emperor!" Father Orsi said in disbelief.
"Is it so rare to have a grimoire with four clovers?" Naruko asked curiously, seeing that most book covers have clovers with three leaves.
"Very rare! To my knowledge, the only other person to have a four-clover grimoire is the first Mage Emperor!" Hadge's church father replied before tears of joy began to escape his eyes. "Yuno is our beacon of hope!"
"The clovers each represent a symbol. The first three are hope, faith, charity and the fourth luck." Lily added.
*I imagine that if a person awakened the Mokuton, the shinobi would have the same reaction. * Thought the young blonde, understanding their reactions better.
"It will be me, the Mage Emperor." Yuno proclaimed as if it were obvious.
People were surprised by the statement before bursting into joy and letting out cheers, while others remained silent, casting greedy or jealous glances towards Yuno.
Asta stands up from his position, keeping his expression somber before turning to Yuno. "Not so fast, I'll catch up with you soon. Because I am your rival and no one else!" The magic-less boy exclaimed with great determination.
Once again, the room was silent for a few seconds before bursting into laughter and mocking Asta.
For a moment, Yuno seemed surprised at Asta's words before regaining his calm expression and leaving, but not before saying a sentence towards the gray-haired boy.
"It's impossible."
Naruko frowned, seeing that Yuno's words had really hurt Asta, though he quickly regained his determined expression.
Sending the relationship between Asta and Yuno, Naruko couldn't help but compare it to hers and Sasuke's, before he betrayed the village. It's like seeing yourself in a mirror. She should try to talk to Yuno to make him understand Asta's situation and the feelings he holds for his adopted brother and rival, before he does something irreparable.
"Well, let's hurry back before them to prepare a feast in honor of Yuno! Today it's going to be potatoes!" Orsi said, as the children screamed in joy.
"You're father Orsi. I know you're happy that Yuno is his grimoire, even more so with four clovers, but you should go comfort Asta. Not only did he not get a grimoire, but people just started making fun of him." Naruko protested.
"Ah, yet he still seems the same, he doesn't seem injured." The church father said, seeing Asta yelling at everyone that he would become a mage emperor, even without a grimoire.
"You never thought that it could be a way to hide your sadness, so that others wouldn't be worried or sad. You might not have noticed it because you focus on others because they have magic." The young blonde said, shocking Orsi with her words.
"What, of course not! I would never do such a thing."
"Not intentionally, but you hope that the children will be able to help the church if they become a Mage Knight. Since Asta doesn't have magic, you think that he won't be able to become one of them and that's why you give Yuno more attention. Asta may be cheerful and hyperactive, but he's still human and humans have limits to what they can bear and I believe that Asta has reached his." Naruko continues.
"Father Orsi, I have to agree with Naruko. Asta always wanted to become a Mage Emperor and having the grimoire would have been the way to prove to everyone that he is capable, especially Yuno. I can't imagine how he must feel right now." Lily added, worried for the gray-haired boy.
"I don't know Asta very well, but I'm sure it will do him good if you comfort him. You raised him since he was a baby, you are the closest thing he has to a father! I may be in no position to say this, but a parent should not have preference over one of their children." Naruko finished, remembering when the Sandaime Hokage came to her to comfort her after she failed twice to become a kunoichi.
The words of the two girls were like bricks hitting Orsi's head. He had never thought about how Asta could feel. He had always seen him smile and be enthusiastic even after people attacked or insulted him. He always remained positive and Orsi thought he would stay that way.
The fact that Asta hides his true feelings from him under a cheeky mask never crossed his mind, as he watched the gray-haired boy grow up and he was sure he would have noticed, but after what the girls told him, he begins to doubt it. Trying to remember the times he saw Asta cry or hurt, he realizes that most of his memories are mainly focused on Yuno. Whether it's the congratulations or the help, most of the memories come from Yuno.
*Have I really neglected one of my children! Oh lord! * Orsi realized in horror.
He never wanted to hurt any of his children, either physically or emotionally, but perhaps because they were poor and couldn't afford to rebuild the church, Orsi had become more desperate than he thought and had put all his hopes on Yuno, ignoring Asta and his inability to use magic.
"You're right! I only realized now how distant I was towards Asta and only gave my support to Yuno. I… no, we're all going to help him! He may not have magic, but he's still a member of our family and family supports each other!" Orsi said with determination with all the worlds applauding in agreement.
All except Nash, who has remained silent since the beginning of the ceremony.
He didn't think that Asta or even Yuno would become Mage Knights. To him, things are as they should be. An orphan and an orphan, a noble and a noble, and a commoner and a commoner. No matter how hard someone dreams or works, they can't change who they are.
Yet, Naruko's words had troubled him just as much as Father Orsi. It made him think back to all the times he told Asta that he would never be able to be the Mage Emperor, much less a Mage Knight. To Nash, that was the reality and Asta was just too stubborn to accept the truth, but now, he himself realizes that he was perhaps a little too cruel, while Asta has always acted like the big brother he is.
He too should apologize to Asta and that even if he didn't believe in the dream, he shouldn't reject other people.
"Look at everyone up there!" A young mage exclaimed as he pointed to the top, drawing everyone's attention.
When everyone looked up, they were surprised to see a light as bright as the sun in the center of the tower.
" What is this? "
"I don't know, she just appeared suddenly!" The young mage explained.
"I've never seen anything like this in my career!" said Drouot, equally astonished.
Then, without warning, the light begins to descend at high speed, as if attracted by something.
"She's charging at us!" Kurama yelled, surprising his host.
Without thinking, Naruko raises her arms to try to catch the light and when she makes contact, the speed of the light propels Naruko back a few inches, partially destroying the library behind her and causing the ownerless grimoires to fall.
A few moments later, the light disappears, and everyone's eyes widen seeing what the young blonde is holding in her hands.
It was a grimoire, but it was different from the others. First of all, it was twice as big as a regular grimoire with over two thousand pages. The cover was blue with gold outlines and lines, but the thing that stood out the most was the symbol in the center of the cover. It was not a clover, but a five-peaked crown in gold, while the back of the cover depicted a cross of religions of the same color.
For the fourth time, the room was silent again. Too surprised by what they witnessed. The appearance of a four-leaf clover was in itself a unique event, but now, they just saw something that had never happened before. None of them knew what to say or how to react.
It was finally Naruko who broke the silence, looking at the grimoire with a confused and intrigued expression.
"So… I have a grimoire too?"
Chapter 1: End
The chapter is over! Naruko and Kurama appear in Clover after being captured by Hiruko's apprentices who had experimented on her. She meets Lily and Orsi, who after introductions, offers Naruko to live at the orphanage/church until she finds another place, which Naruko ends up accepting.
She then meets Asta and the other children, whom she quickly becomes friends with, but more time with Yuno, due to the appearance and personality which reminded her of Sasuke, but like the rest, she quickly became friends.
Then we get to the Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony and like in canon, Yuno receives his four-clover grimoire, while Asta didn't receive anything before leaving. As the orphanage/church group was about to prepare a meal to congratulate Yuno on his achievement, Naruko tells Father Orsi that he should go see Asta to comfort him, since it was his duty as the patriarch of the orphanage, but also as his father figure. Making Father Orsi realize that he unintentionally showed favoritism and wanted to make up for it.
Naruko's words also touched Nash, who also hadn't realized that his words had hurt Asta at times, even if he doesn't show it.
Finally, one last grimoire appears, attracting everyone's attention and rushes towards Naruko who manages to catch it. This grimoire is not only larger than the others, but also has a unique appearance, similar to a king's sword.
I hope you enjoyed reading and don't hesitate to give me your opinion ;-)
