Inkaliber: Hey guys! Got another chapter hot and ready for ya. I… HEY! Who messed with the script!? I swear I had one more chapter before the big meetup.
Deadpool: No idea, Boss. I can scramble the rocket guys and the bald ghost to sleuth for clues. I can also make yummy pasta.
Inkaliber:... What did you do? Did you do this?
Deadpool: GASP! I cannot believe you would accuse me of feeding the old script to the Saibamen and writing up this new one after I realized it wasn't one of Nappa's adult magazines he left lying around… LOVE YA BY!
Adran: Deadpool, we gotta work on your ability to lie. *Whisper* Just stick to the plan!
Deadpool: CAN'T TALK! RUNNING BEFORE I LOSE MY BALLS FOR A WEEK!
Inkaliber: UGH! I'm gonna un-alive that guy soon. Let's just read some reviews and get on with this.
P96822- LOL! I get that reference. Good to see that I'm not the only one that thought of using Sun Wukong's legendary weapon as a Shengong Wu. I'm glad you like the idea of Sam dating again.
Speedykitten1643- Yeah she really needed the help. Glad to see some support for Sam X Tim. I'll make sure to do a quick PM on the last chapter (update chapter for those on FFN) to let people know when a story in the universe is undergoing its run.
Fuyu_FoxWriter- Writing the elderly/parent group was definitely fun to do. It is indeed true that the group now knows the Paris kids are on their way to Amity Park.
KitsuneStorm365- They do indeed deserve all of the tea. We'll see if Tim and Sam last. Kim was a little too upset about Ellie stealing the candy he won from the bet to notice, lol!
darknessslayer- LOL! Alfred having the conspiracy board just so he can determine who needs what kind of tea and how much of said tea. I love it.
Lilyofthestars- I'm not sure about the adults not being smart but it is indeed fun to see the calm and collected characters be in the same chat. It has indeed been fun for the Paris group. Omi just needs to regain trust for Jack.
Fregreg- Thanks! I figured this would be a good moment for a nice and calm moment.
Wanderingsage7- I'm glad that you've been enjoying the character interactions. There's about to be a lot more in person interactions, lol!
OceanaMM- I'm glad I released it just in time, lol! You'll find that the Gotham Brunch Club has been added to the username list. No worries.
LunarCouncillor- LOL! Making the breakfast club was fun for me. It's not that he has a low opinion of Tim but knows that anyone can get carried away. Not to mention Tim did give up some of his favorite coffee which is something he doesn't normally do. Kim giving up the secret by accident, however, felt completely in character. XD
Penumbral_Writer- We'll see just what kind of friend Alfred gets. LOL!
Rocky- Glad you can see it.
Chase- That does sound like an interesting interaction. I'll have to think on that.
Gwen- It was something mentioned many chapters ago. Kind of something I did for fun and only recently brought back in again.
Cody- Only time will tell if Omi can come to trust Jack again.
XxXNightcoreQueenXxX- I see what you mean. I added the current relationships and the versions of the characters to a comment on your comment. I will say that it has been interesting to work with all the characters so far.
That looks like everyone so let's get started. I don't own Miraculous, Danny Phantom, Marvel, DC, or any other series that show up here. I do own any original characters, concepts, creatures, and places that work their way into the story unless stated otherwise.

Amity Park, Illinois
Ember could be seen sitting atop one of the roofs in Amity Park, tuning her guitar as she tried to think of a new song to play at her next concert. She hadn't gotten to actually perform in front of a crowd that wasn't hypnotized or ghosts before so she really wanted to make something good. She tried to play a few notes, only to groan as the tone at the end wasn't what she wanted. The specter played some more notes, using different combinations as her frustration began to build. Eventually she set her guitar to the side, groaning in anger.
"Why am I having such a bummer artist's block!?" cried the ghost girl. "I can't be losing my edge when I'm about to have my big debut on stage! I'll be ruined before I even begin! This blows big time!" She flopped onto her back, groaning in annoyance as she pulled at her flaming hair.
She laid there for a moment, thinking about what she would do. That was when she heard it, the riff of her one hit wonder. "Is that… my song? Whoever's playing it is hitting all the right notes. That better not be another rocker trying to steal my thunder."
She quickly took off across the city, trying to find who was playing her music. At the same time, Jagged Stone was playing said guitar instrumental slowly on his own instrument. He had a sad smile on his face, looking down at the metallic strings as they vibrated.
"Almost there," stated the man to himself. He looked up, hearing laughter as his smile turned to a more natural look. Tony had left for an Avengers meeting and some trouble in New York, leaving the group to themselves mostly. The graduates were a little more rambunctious than before, likely due to their last destination coming up. Ellie sat across from Juleka at one of the table seats, playing a game of Connect Four with her.
"Aha!" cried the ghostly child. "Count 'em and weep!" She dropped one into place, crossing her arms. "I win, I win!" Juleka tried not to burst out laughing, her eyes looking over the board.
"Good to know you can count but I think you jumped a little too early," teased the Tigress hero. "Count my pieces again." Ellie did as she was told, quickly finding that there was a row of four for the opposite color already. "Good game." The ghost girl groaned, bouncing her back into the back of her seat.
"OH COME ON! How do you keep doing this!?" She held her hands in her face, Scamp popping his paws up on her stomach in an attempt to comfort her. "This game is cruel and unforgiving!" Juleka finally laughed as the phantom child hugged her spirit guardian close.
"You really are Danny's girl. Dramatic and cute all at the same time." Ellie rolled her eyes, snickering.
"Thanks MOM… You didn't hear me say that." The model girl sighed slightly, shaking her head.
"Not that I don't love it but Danny hasn't exactly put a ring on this finger yet. Still, I'm glad you think of me like that." Ellie blushed slightly in embarrassment, giggling while Scamp rubbed against her.
"GOTCHA THIS TIME!" cried Rose. The ghost girl screamed as she was hugged again, Rose spinning around with her. "You will be hugged and you will like it! So says Auntie Rose!" Ellie kicked her feet playfully again, groaning.
"Stop treating me like a baby! Put me down!" A laugh was shared amongst the youngsters in the group, Jagged snickering himself. Now this was a moment that could inspire some good music. Dick stood up from the passenger seat, carefully walking to the main area.
"Heads up, everyone!" informed the impromptu tour guide. "We're almost at our final destination here in the states!" Jagged grinned, popping up from his seat.
"We gotta make a stop real quick," requested the rocker. "It's a personal thing, something I've wanted to do ever since I started ma whole career." Dick nodded his head, waiting to hear the location. Ember floated in the air, looking around for whoever had been playing her song. She shivered, realizing what part of town she was in.
"Let's just get this over with," sighed the rocker ghost. "Whatever dipstick was playing my song better not be another ghost chick." She then spotted the large coach bus parking outside the nearby cemetery, her eyes narrowing. "A tour bus? What famous person wants to visit this cruddy place?"
She flew over, her curiosity getting the better of her. Jagged stepped out, a bouquet of white lilies and a cassette tape in his hand. Penny soon followed after him, Juleka and Ellie following out of their own curiosity. Ember narrowed her eyes, focusing on Ellie. "Why does that kid look like Babypop?"
Luka was the last one out, the rocker ghost quickly following the group further into the place. Jagged looked over each of the names as he walked, trying to find the right grave. He clenched the items in his hand a bit, shivering.
"Come on," whispered the living rock star. "Ya gotta be here." He finally walked past a tree, his face settling into a sad smile. "Across from the oak tree, just like in life." He approached a slightly chipped tombstone, Ember hiding on top of the tree.
"WHAT IS HE DOING!? THAT'S-" She covered her mouth, noticing Scamp as he looked around. 'A SPIRIT GUARDIAN! I WAS ALMOST TOAST!'
Jagged slowly knelt down, placing the flowers at the base of the stone. He then looked at the cassette tape in his hand, sighing. Juleka stepped forward a bit, looking over the name on the grave.
"'Amberlyn McLain,'" read the model girl. "Why does that sound familiar?" Jagged placed the tape on the edge of the stone, propping it against the main tomb.
"Finally got this back to ya, Amber," stated the rocker. "I know I haven't written in a while but I had ta take some time after I got the letter sayin' ya went off ta rock on in the next life. Wish it could've gotten to ya before… the fire. You really had a rockin' voice." Ember narrowed her eyes, only to hide herself in the tree better as she shivered.
"No," gasped the ghost rocker. "No, no, no, no, no. Gustave!? It can't be!" Jagged took a good moment before standing up, brushing off his pant leg.
"Right. Guess that's enough of a detour." He turned towards the group, rubbing his eye a bit. "We've got a rockin' city to visit." Penny took his hand gently, squeezing it without saying a word.
Ember watched the group leave, waiting until they were out of sight before floating down to the grave. She looked at the cassette tape, making sure nothing would harm her as she picked it up. She looked over the writing, her hands shaking.
"This… this is my song. He kept it… all these years. He LIKED my voice. After all these years…" She clutched the object close, as if she could hear the low-quality audio from when she first played it back for herself.
She heard the sound of tires pulling off, not even noticing the cassette tape sinking into her as her eyes widened. "They're going to Amity Park. Gustave… you came all this way to see me. There isn't a ghost of a chance you're leaving without saying hi… HOOVER DAM PHANTOM AND HIS STUPID PUNS!"
She suddenly took off into the sky, unaware that a trail of burning music notes popped in and out of existence behind her. While all this was going on, Danny scrambled to put together a decent outfit in his room. He couldn't wear his galaxy jacket with the time of year it was but that didn't mean he couldn't wear the shirt Marinette made. He slid on the accompanying jeans, making sure the shoes still fit. He then brushed his hair in the bathroom mirror, making sure no one was looking before he manipulated the curls into a soft and plush style.
"Perfect," sighed the boy with a smile. "I can never go back to having normal hair." The boy stepped out into the main hall, rolling his wrist as he heard giggling. He looked towards the kitchen, slowly approaching it with his eyes narrowed. He looked inside, groaning as he covered his eyes to avoid seeing his sister leaning her back against the counter in nothing but one of Jason's dress shirts and a pair of white panties while said young man was holding her chin.
The duo immediately stood straight, Jazz pulling the borrowed shirt down a bit. "GUYS! Not in the kitchen! Jules and the others will be in town any minute now and you're still not dressed, Jazz!" The redhead sibling cleared her throat, blushing thoroughly as she nodded her head.
"R-Right," began Jazz. "Sorry. Excuse me for a moment." She walked past, Jason unapologetically watching the way she walked. When the duo was alone, Danny flashed a glare at the fellow halfa as the young man took a sip of water.
"You better put a ring on that BEFORE you get my sister pregnant." The Red Wraith choked on his drink, not expecting the sudden comment. "You two make it very obvious you go that far and Jazz still has a life in college. Mom and Dad would kill you and hunt your ghost if they found out you two were doing this before a ring got involved. Then again we're both already halfway there." The violent Gothamite cleared his throat, looking towards the original ghost boy.
"You did that on purpose," huffed Jason. "...Well played." Danny's frown remained, nodding his head in response.
"I mean it though. Jazz doesn't deserve the reputation having a kid without being married would bring. You two are really close and she cares about you enough to give herself to you. That's not something she gives to any guy." Jason looked Danny in the eye, seeing the tone of his gaze.
"Just like Dick… Just as long as you don't get that girl of yours pregnant either. You really need to make sure your door is locked before you sneak off to see her." Danny looked away, blushing deeply as his face was several shades of red. Before anything else could be said, Tucker came running into the room.
"Rose just let it loose over the group chat!" cried the buff nerd. "They're in Amity right now!" Danny's eyes widened, the boy activating his ghost powers as he phased through the roof. "And he didn't even stop to hear me say where they're at." Jason huffed a laugh, hands on his hips.
"Just like Dick." Tucker looked towards him, the hothead waving him off. "I'll tell you later. We need to start getting things ready for when they pop in." The duo walked away from the kitchen, Tucker running back quickly for an apple before rushing off again.
Danny flew around the city, looking for any coach bus he could find. He spotted one, going invisible as he peeked his head through the metal. It looked like some kind of metal band, the ghost boy groaning.
"Nope," sighed Danny. "Definitely not them." He flew off, later poking his head into one where an actor of some kind was sleeping. "Not it either." He flew off, the actor sitting up with a startled huff.
The ghost boy peeked into every tour bus and coach bus he could find, trying to locate Juleka and the others. Eventually the whole city felt a slight chill, something that wasn't common at all during the summer season. Danny eventually sat on the tallest building in town, sighing as he looked down at the place he called home. "Where are you guys?" He narrowed his eyes, seeing a floating figure sneaking around.
He watched Ember carefully move, the ghoul acting like something would see her. "Ember? What's she doing? Better check it out." He flew after her, going invisible again to stay out of sight.
The Paris group's coach bus finally came to a stop, a red light keeping them from going for a bit. Ember watched them from atop a building, little green fire notes popping in her hair as she leaned against the siding of the roof. She was about to take a risky closer look, only for Danny to become visible in front of her. "Mind telling me why you're stalking people now, Ember?" The rocker ghost jerked back, holding her hands up.
"T-truce!" cried the ghoul. "We made that truce and I ain't overstepping my boundaries." Danny hummed, trying to believe her.
"Then you'll have no problem telling me what's up. Well?" Ember sighed, sitting on the ledge as she looked down at the coach bus.
"My old pen pal visited my grave today and he's in that bus. He… he came all this way from France to give me back my cassette tape I sent him years ago and he LIKED my music. I couldn't just let him leave without saying hi but… I'm scared. What if he treats me like everyone else treats ghosts?" Danny sat beside her, smiling at her.
"I think I get it. You're afraid he won't see the girl behind the soul." Ember smiled weakly, nodding her head.
"You're getting better at understanding these things. He probably doesn't wanna see me anyway. He's got a girl who I'm pretty sure is more than just an assistant, two kids, and a mini you. Not enough room for an old flame that never really burned." Danny looked at her, narrowing his eyes.
"Ember, you at least deserve to say hi to him and have closure. This won't mess with your obsession and, after everything you've been through, I think you deserve to have a happy ending. You're the hottest record in the Ghost Zone. This guy can't top that, assistant or not. He'd be proud of you."
Ember chuckled as she held her hands together, the notes that popped up in her hair sticking around for a bit longer. "...Wait, mini-me?" The rocker looked at him, nodding her head.
"Yeah, but a girl. She had a spirit guardian with her too… Wait. Is she-" Danny shot up, a grin on his face.
"My girls!" He zipped off, leaving Ember to hold her guitar as she shivered. The coach bus began driving as the light turned green, Danny turning invisible again as he peeked inside. He grinned, seeing the group going about their preparations for the next stop. Kim picked up a zip lock bag of candy, holding it close.
"Don't even think about it, Little E," stated the athlete. "You aren't getting a single piece after you stole it all." Ellie pouted, giving him soulful eyes.
"Not even one piece of French chocolate?" questioned the young halfa. "I haven't done anything mean ever since." Danny grinned, getting an idea as he flew behind Kim while the teen turned around.
"It's called consequences, kid, and Rose has made me almost immune to puppy eyes," declared the swimmer. "No matter how cute you and your pet are, it's not gonna work." Danny reached into the bag while intangible, touching two of the chocolates for a moment in order to make them intangible as well. Ellie harrumphed in annoyance as the teen turned around, only for ghost senses to leave her mouth. A chocolate was suddenly shoved in her mouth, making her smile as wide as possible while keeping it shut.
'DAD!' She heard a shushing noise, giggling as she quietly chewed the ill-gotten sweet. Juleka looked towards the scene, frowning in confusion.
"Ellie?" questioned the model girl. "What are-" She suddenly found her lips being stolen away, a chocolaty taste entering her mouth as half a chocolate was moved between her and her invisible "aggressor." Juleka tried not to moan, leaning into the affection as familiar blue eyes glowed while looking into her own. Her tiger pin flashed from the connection, purring a bit.
As soon as she was free, the Parisian model chewed the chocolate before giggling at the cold hands on her face. "Bonjour, mon Fantôme. I missed you, though maybe it's not a good idea to teach your child to steal. Kinda counterproductive for a hero." Danny chuckled, his teeth glowing snow white in a cheshire grin.
"All in good fun, mon Bijou," teased the ghost boy. "You smell wonderful." Juleka chuckled at this, using the placement of his hands to tilt her head so she could rest her forehead against his. The eyes and teeth suddenly disappeared, the cold feeling also leaving the bus. She quickly wiped her face, Dick looking back from the passenger's seat.
"Everyone sit down and get ready," informed the first Robin. "We're reaching the hotel we'll be staying at for the rest of the trip." Most of the group looked to the windows, watching as a luxurious hotel came into view. It was much like the one where the group first met Ellie, only a bit wider with a different logo on the banister. Peter looked back at the other side, his eyes widening.
"Whoa!" cried the spider hero. "We're right across from an entire estate!" The others soon joined him, the group marveling at the Titans Dark Manor. "I haven't seen a house this big in person before!" Bruce adjusted his tie, nodding his head.
"I believe that's one of my properties," stated the man. "I'm sure the residents wouldn't mind letting us visit for a moment. Once we're secured in our hotel rooms, of course. If we miss the deadline we lose the rooms." Juleka shivered, looking over the huge building.
"I know that look," teased Alix. "Somebody's excited, plus a little… something else." The model girl quickly popped her on the arm, earning an evil laugh. Marinette rolled her eyes, beginning to become tired of Alix's antics. Ellie suddenly ran up, pulling Juleka along.
"Come on!" cried the young girl. "I wanna spend time with you and Danny as a family!" The Parisian girl chuckled, shaking her head.
"I'm coming," reassured Juleka. "I'm coming!" The group filtered out of the bus, quickly separating into their rooms. Juleka quickly changed into a black summer dress with a purple hue and green sparkles, her dark green sun hat with black detailing, her dark green leggings, purple sneakers, and a green tiger-themed purse designed by Marinette. She quickly attached her tiger pin to the side of her hat, smiling at herself in the mirror before a loud knocking was heard.
"COME ON JULEKA!" cried Rose. "We're about to go over to the manor!" The model grinned, quickly running as she tried not to be left behind. Her suitcase was left wide open on her bed, a white and black hairpin sitting in the middle of her other attire. The pin suddenly became silver, the black and white Akuma Butterfly flying off of it.
The youngsters began to line up outside the gate to the manor, waiting for Bruce to make the call. Juleka shivered, holding Ellie's hand as the young girl had a bag in her other hand. The gates to the estate slowly began to open, and Jagged grinned, looking at the area inside.
"Whoa!" cheered the rocker. "Imagine the concert you could have in this place." Bruce gestured for the group to follow, Adrien looking around the area in awe.
"Whoa," stated the hidden cat hero. "I wish we had a yard like this back home." Kagami rubbed his shoulder, nodding at him with a smile.
"Something to work towards when you are able to buy a house of your own," reassured the fencer. "Perhaps one day it will be a place for us to share." Adrien blushed in glee, the boy rubbing the back of his head.
"I like the sound of that." The two of them held hands, Chloe sighing as she looked at the ground. Sabrina rubbed her shoulder, the redhead smiling at her.
"Don't worry, Chloe," reassured the girl. "I'm sure Jack will be back once he's figured out what's going on." The best friends moved a bit faster as Chloe smiled, trying to keep up with the group. When they finally reached the manor, a maid opened the door for them. Jason quickly walked into view from the main area, sending Bruce a knowing smirk.
"Finally decided to stop by and say hi, huh Bruce?" teased the Red Wraith. "Guess those long nights in Gotham are finally getting to ya." The Batman quickly leveled a warning glare before smiling as he chuckled under his breath.
"Someone has to innovate, Jason," replied Bruce. He then turned towards the group, patting Jason on the shoulder lightly. "This is Jason Todd, one of my wards. He helps run the place and looks over factories for Wayne Industries here in the Midwest." The hothead shrugged, still smirking.
"Someone has to make sure no one's playing around or messing with the law. Gotham's the worst about it but it's hardly the only place where things can happen." The group nodded and waved, Dick walking up to Jason with a smirk.
"It's been a while, Jay," greeted the acrobat. They clasped hands in a firm grip, Dick nodding his head. "How have you been? I'm sure this ghost business is a little out of your comfort zone." The Red Wraith huffed a laugh, shaking his head.
"When you've seen a walking pile of clay and a walking zombie, you've seen it all." Rose suddenly squealed in excitement, breaking from the group as Jazz walked into view. The local redhead quickly returned the sound, the two of them embracing.
"It's been so long since we've seen you guys!" cheered Rose. "You look so beautiful!" The two parted, Jazz giggling a bit.
"Thanks, Rose," replied the studious woman. "It's great to see you." Jazz looked towards Ellie and Juleka, squealing again as the ghost of the duo pouted.
"And here it comes," sighed Ellie. She huffed as she was picked up in a squeezing hug, Scamp climbing up her leg as she groaned. "Aunt Jazz… Air…" Jazz loosened her hold a bit, the redhead smiling at her.
"You should come over more often, young lady. I barely get to spend time with you as it is." She then began to kiss all over Ellie's face, making the ravenette groan as she kicked her legs. Scamp came to her rescue, leaping to where Jazz had to release her to catch him. "And there's the cutest baby otter in the whole wide world!"
Ellie took a moment to regain her breath, Juleka giggling as she rubbed the top of the girl's head. Jazz then turned her attention towards the model, grinning as she looked her up and down. "Hey Jules! Looking great." The tigress hero beamed a bit, nodding her head.
"Thanks," replied Juleka. "Is Danny in?" Before Jazz could answer, Tucker walked into view wearing his gym clothes.
"Welcome to America, Paris People," greeted the techno geek. "I'm Tucker but you can call me Tuck like in the server if that's better." Kim whistled, looking over the geek.
"Dang, dude!" cried the Parisian athlete. "You've been hitting the gym a lot." Tucker grinned, flexing his arms a bit.
"Thanks for noticing. I work hard to make sure the brawn matches the brains." Marinette rolled her eyes at this, giggling.
"And we've lost Kim in muscle talks," stated the ladybug hero. "Still, it's great to see everyone." The sound of fast running was heard, Danny skidding into view with a grin.
"Where're my girls!?" cheered the halfa. Ellie grinned, Scamp jumping onto her shoulder as she passed the bag in her hand to Juleka. She then ran as fast as she could, jumping into Danny's arms as he spun her around.
"Daddy!" cheered the clone girl. They finally stopped spinning, the two of them touching foreheads. "I finally got to meet your girlfriend, who you did NOT tell me about. I need to know whether I'm gonna have a mom or not so you have to tell me these things." Danny chuckled nervously, putting the girl down on the ground.
"I'm working on it, alright? Can't exactly get married without a stable income." He looked to the group again, grinning mischievously as Juleka walked over to him. "And there's mon Tigressa." The two of them kissed for a quick moment, making the girls in the main group coo as they parted.
"I'm happy to see you too, mon Amor," teased the model. "Looks like the hunter has become the hunted~. And I have quite the show planned for my Watcher." Danny purred at this, making Ellie fake gag playfully. Bruce looked towards the group, nodding his head.
"We'll be staying in Amity Park for a while so I've arranged for the members of the estate to act as chauffeurs and guides for the remainder of our stay," informed the benefactor. "We still have planned sights to see and Jagged Stone will be hosting a concert in a few days so try not to work yourselves up or get into trouble. That being said, remember to have fun." The Parisians nodded their heads, a few like Kim and Nino hooting in excitement at being free.
"Hey Danny!" cried Marinette. The ghost boy looked over, watching as the designer pulled Peter along. "I know you probably have big plans with Juleka and Ellie but I wanted to introduce you to someone. This is Peter: Padawan from the Guild." Danny hummed at this, crossing his arms.
"So, you're the boyfriend," greeted the ice user. "You aren't up to any funny business, are you?" Peter shivered as the room felt colder, his Spider Sense telling him to be careful.
"My aunt would kill me if I did anything like that," replied the spider hero. "I just really like Marinette because she's so amazing." Danny smirked at this, only to shiver as Juleka squeezed his arm.
"Danny," warned the model with a knowing smirk. "Behave." The ghost boy quickly nodded, no one noticing as the Batfam members disappeared into the lower basement. Danny finally noticed the gift bag, humming in interest.
"What's this?" questioned the ghost boy. Ellie grinned, bouncing on her toes in excitement. "Is that for me?" Juleka held her hand out, allowing the ghost girl to take it and hold it up to her father.
"We found this at a convention!" cheered the ghost girl. "Mo- Juleka helped me get it." Danny missed the slip up, receiving the bag with a nod of his head. He reached inside, feeling the smooth texture of the object. He lifted the gift out, his eyes widening and his spine tingling at the sight of an icy blue ocarina.
"An ocarina? I haven't held one since I met Juleka's mom and Luka." Ellie quickly took the bag from him, pulling out a purple one.
"I've got one too! That way we can learn together!" Another cooing was heard, Danny smiling in an endearing expression.
"Thank you, Ellie. Guess I better see if it works." He brought the instrument to his mouth, Jazz wincing a bit. He blew into it once per hole, making sure the tune was right. Unable to help himself, he began playing the song he had performed at the Couffaine boat home.
Jazz stood up straight, as if she was having trouble processing what she was hearing. Marinette shivered, the song being so familiar to her that it was seared into her brain. Ellie couldn't help but sigh, somehow feeling at ease by the melody as she hummed to the melody. The little concert stole away the group's attention, Luka smirking as Rose swayed her head back and forth. As the song was nearing its end, Marinette held her hand to her mouth.
"Donnie," whispered the Ladybug hero to herself. "It is you." The others clapped loudly, Peter rubbing her shoulder a bit.
"Are you alright, Marinette?" questioned the spider hero. "You look like you 'saw a ghost'." The girl shook her head, missing the pun as she smiled nervously.
"Y-yeah. I'm just… thinking about something." Danny jerked as an arm was thrown over his shoulders, Jagged grinning ecstatically.
"Dude, that rocked!" cheered the man. "Ya put yer entire soul inta that. Can't remember where I heard that song though." The ghost boy chuckled, feeling a bit cornered. Before he could thank the man, Jagged was pulled back by Penny.
"Jagged, remember people's personal bubbles," reminded the assistant. "It's the same thing as not going into people's rooms without their permission." The rock star sighed in understanding, nodding his head.
"Ah. Right." Jazz slowly approached Danny, looking a little spooked.
"Danny… that was beautiful," admitted the redhead. "I know someone mentioned it in the guild but why didn't you tell me you could play an instrument that well?" The ghost boy grabbed his head, grunting in slight pain.
"I don't know. I didn't know until that day I met Juleka's folks and even then we didn't really have a lot of ocarinas lying around. Mom never let me have any wind instruments after the flute incident. I wouldn't be surprised if she tries to take these away when they next visit." Juleka frowned at this, only for Jazz to shake her head.
"Need I remind you this is my and Jason's house? Not to mention you're eighteen now, little brother. If they even try it I'll get them back. Besides, I can't let a gift for my adorable little niece go to waste." Danny nodded his head, smiling at his sister's defensiveness.
Down in the mission room, Bruce pressed a button on one of the tables to bring up a holographic display. He pressed a few buttons, bringing up a file on Vlad and his Plasmius form. Jason rolled his shoulders, taking a deep breath as his eyes glowed fiery red.
"So, when did you find out?" questioned the hothead. "About Danny." Bruce looked towards his second son, nodding his head.
"A while back, one of my forensic teams as part of Project Nestling obtained his DNA," informed the man. "It took them a while to find it until they removed the ectoplasm from the sample. Then I had to read up on Halfas thanks to Damian's research. After figuring out that he was Phantom, there was only one conclusion I could reach." Dick quickly joined them, popping his back a bit.
"Sorry about that," apologized Nightwing. "The ride was long and I didn't have a lot of time to wait on a bathroom." He looked towards the duo, his frown being serious. "So, what's the plan?" The two men looked towards each other, Bruce quickly sifting through the files.
"The first step is to find a way to oust Plasmius without jeopardizing the safety of Amity Park. The Ghost Investigation Wing will be on top of us the moment they hear we have a ghost in custody, wanting to destroy or secure him for their research. We also need a way to contain him, something the Fentons have developed but likely isn't a perfect solution. On top of that-" Jason huffed, nodding his head.
"Our work with Phantom means they won't be willing to hand over any technology to the Justice League," stated the Red Wraith. "Never let them hear about Deadman." Bruce shook his head, a deep scowl on his face.
"The Fentons will be dealt with in time. Right now our focus is on securing a way to defeat Plasmius." Dick narrowed his eyes, the acrobat looking towards Bruce.
"Dealt with?" questioned the lead Titan. "Why are you after them?" The Batman crossed his arms, his scowl still present on his face.
"Destruction of property, reckless driving, child endangerment, improper handling and storage of dangerous chemicals, unlicensed weapons manufacturing, and a high likelihood of kidnapping. As useful as their technology is, the way they handle it is too dangerous for the general public." Dick crossed his arms in return, his own scowl on his face.
"And running around using vigilante justice is safe? None of what we do is exactly legal, Bruce. You've said it yourself that you dress as a bat and go around breaking people's legs and giving crooks concussions. I'm not the biggest fan of them either but-" Jason huffed, rolling his eyes.
"Bruce, tell him," ordered the hothead. "He's going to fight this if he's not in the know." Dick looked between the duo, now confused.
"Tell me? Tell me what?" Bruce sighed, uncrossing his arms as he looked towards his eldest.
"Dick, I promised you that night after the circus that everything would be okay," began the billionaire. "Even when you said I could, I never stopped looking for Maria and Donnel. I searched for years and never found them. Maria, as you know, was practically sold to a French couple who took her back to Paris. From the Dupain-Cheng family's statement, she was drugged to be silent about being separated from her family."
Dick's eyes narrowed further, watching as Bruce plugged in a driver and swapped the files on display. "From evidence I've found, however, it may have run deeper. As you know Donnel disappeared some time before the night the orphanage was decommissioned. The obvious evidence points to the boy running away but, with the fact that his sister was drugged, it helped me to branch into a new avenue."
He swapped to an image of an old man, turning the hologram around. "This man used to work at the orphanage, a reformed criminal who was rather loose-lipped. He confirmed that Donnel was kidnapped, Maria being drugged to keep quiet so that the orphanage could keep its reputation. The recount of her claim back then states that a 'blue monster with big red eyes' broke into their room and stole him away. There's only one person in Amity Park that is commonly known for that kind of apparel."
The image then shifted to Maddie Fenton, specifically in moments of her hazmat suit being fully equipped. "Madeline Fenton: a brilliant geneticist and psychiatric researcher before becoming involved in paranormal research with Jack Fenton after their marriage." Dick shook his head, looking even angrier.
"Bruce, you know I trust your judgement but this is too far. Even if she matches the description, there's no real evidence to back it up and they only have two kids." Jason and Bruce looked at each other again, making the lead Titan begin to go wide eyed in realization. "...You're not saying-" Bruce brought up his file on the project dedicated to his search, nodding his head.
"As I told Jason, I have forensic teams around the United States discreetly collecting DNA from young men who match Donnel's description to a strong degree. One of the teams found a promising sample here in Amity Park, but it had strong contaminants mixed in. That contaminant was ectoplasm: ectoplasm that was active and volatile. That same ectoplasm, with an energy dating of two years, can be dated back to the same year Donnel was taken. Thanks to Damian's personal research, as well as Elleanor, we now know that only one kind of creature can have ectoplasm spliced into their very DNA: a Halfa."
Dick shivered, watching as a picture of Danny as he is now displayed with a percentage. "Without the ectoplasm, his DNA is a close enough match to be related yet far away enough to rule out genetic cloning. You didn't just find Maria, Dick, you found Donnel. With a high likelihood, Danny Fenton is Donnel Grayson." The acrobat quickly shook his head, not entirely believing it before Jason nodded his head.
"Honestly I had my suspicions after living with him for a while," informed the Red Wraith. "Connor was the one to point it out but I studied his habits and behavior. He acts a lot like you, Dick, and he looks too much like you to be a coincidence now that he's gotten rid of that weird haircut. There's also the fact that he can play the ocarina." Dick quickly held up a hand, stopping the duo in their tracks.
"Hang on a moment!" cried the hero. "Look, all of this is stacking up but that last part is a reach. Just because he can play an ocarina does not mean for definite that he's Donny. I appreciate you guys still looking but Donny… he's gone." Bruce looked through the security footage, narrowing his eyes.
"Then how do you explain this that just happened up above?" questioned the Batman. He played Danny's surprise performance. Dick's spine shivering as he was taken back to the moment before that horrible moment that changed his life. He had been chasing Maria around playfully, Donnel immersed in the song that the musician had taught him. No one could tear the instrument away from the little guy, not until he lost it the moment their parents hit the ground.
Dick couldn't stop himself from holding a hand to his mouth, the trauma of reliving that day breaking through his emotional walls. He saw Marinette's reaction in the footage, the girl having the exact same response. As soon as the song was over, the normally held together hero stumbled back to rest his back against one of the walls. "Dick!?" The first ward let Jason prop him up on his shoulder, taking a deep breath.
"That… that was Donnel's song. Giorno, the musician, helped him make it and taught him to play his ocarina. It was his song… Why didn't you tell me?" Jason looked down, sighing.
"Because I didn't want to be wrong. Even when I started seeing the resemblance more I needed to hear someone else say it or see something to confirm it. Plus… I couldn't think of how to tell Jazz that her brother isn't her biological brother. She thinks he's been with them for forever." Bruce nodded his head, gesturing to the moment where Danny grabs his head.
"Likely the same thing that keeps Phantom from being able to remember himself," stated the billionaire. "Despite age playing a factor, the ectoplasm in his DNA runs further back than the origin of his transformation. Given her time as a geneticist on top of the paranormal research, Madeline may have found a way to alter his memories through the use of ectoplasm. Without whatever she used to administer it, however, his body is starting to use up the excess liquid like an athlete working off excess fat. If he were to find out before that happens, the conditioning could cause him to either shut down or turn violent against us." Dick frowned, standing up straight as Bruce's signature Bat Glare was on his face.
"What do you need me to do?" questioned Nightwing. "This just became personal." Bruce nodded his head, understanding his first ward's reaction. Soon the trio returned to the main area, finding that the group was talking amongst each other. Dick cleared his throat, wearing a calm face rather well, getting the group's attention.
"Sorry to interrupt but we need to get back to the hotel. It's getting late and all the fun starts tomorrow. People can hang out after each planned event." Rose cried out in dismay, hugging Jazz a little tighter.
"NO!" cried the blonde. "We just got here and I need a girl's night sleepover!" Dick chuckled, shaking his head.
"Maybe another night. We need a lot of sleep tonight." Jazz chuckled, rubbing the blonde atop her head.
"It's okay, Rose," reassured the redhead. "It just means we get to say good morning in person and show everyone around town." The childish girl cheered as she raised her fist into the air, earning a chuckle from the others. Ellie looked towards Juleka, pouting a bit.
"Hey… is it okay if I stay here tonight?" questioned the ghost child. "I know we've been getting to know each other a lot but-" The model girl chuckled, rubbing the halfa atop her head.
"I won't keep you from spending more time with your father and aunt," reassured the tigress hero. "Just make sure you're in bed at a good time." Danny's heart melted at the scene, the ghost boy picking the clone girl up much to her squeal of delight.
"I think we have just the bedroom for you," teased the adult halfa. "Come on, Ellie." Juleka cooed as the family duo walked off, holding her hands together.
"Such a wonderful family. I hope I can be part of that someday." The hero walked off to rejoin the others, the white butterfly still following her from above.
Inkaliber: Guess that's the end of this one! The group is in Amity Park but not everything is as happy and fun as they would have hoped. Danny's status as Donnel has been confirmed by the very song he instinctively remembers. Now things are getting even more chaotic than ever and nothing has officially happened yet. Only time will tell what comes of that.
Deadpool: Ooh! Looks like fun! I wonder what will happen next.
Inkaliber: Yeah, yeah. You're banned from this studio until the story is finished.
Deadpool: WHAT!? WHY!?
Inkaliber: Because you and Adran are conspiring against me and you're the only one out of the two of you ballsy enough to actually sneak in and mess with MY SCRIPTS! You're lucky I'm not banning you from the house! I had to fix the story as I went!
Deadpool: Ouch… Okay, that's fair. I'll just tell Rose you've been mean to me and-
Rose: WHERE IS HE!? I WANNA PRACTICE MY NORA VALKYRIE IMPRESSION!
Deadpool:... You told them about the cookie incident, didn't you?
Inkaliber: And how you were the one to eat the cake Marinette made for everyone.
Deadpool:... BYE!
Ellie: GET HIM!
Stitch: MEEGA NALA KWEESTA! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Adran: ... You won't be coming after me for helping him, will you?
Inkaliber: Nah! I can't really do anything to you. Him, however, I can teach to not mess with other people's stuff. Anyway, time to end this one. Roll ending!
